It?s a big week for Scarlett Johansson - not only is her new film ?The Avengers? hitting theaters on Friday, but today (May 2) she received her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ?In Good Company? chick looked thrilled as she took to the podium at the ceremony located on Hollywood Boulevard while joined by her superhero co-star Jeremy Renner.
In a recent interview, Scarlett discussed the honor of being given the star, and how it came to be. ?I don't know, actually. I think you're nominated. There's a committee... and, I guess, they nominate you and then you receive a star, which is very exciting for me. I was totally thrilled, of course, because I feel very nostalgic about that kind of thing. It's a wonderful tradition and I felt like I finally made it. I really did! I was, like, ?Wow! I've been in the industry for twenty years and I've worked since I was a kid.? It felt like a big milestone.?
As for her ?neighbors? on the Walk of Fame, Ms. Johansson replied, ?No, I've no idea. I'm hoping not be outside one of those horrible shops on Hollywood Boulevard somewhere. I don't know how it works. But I'll find out, I guess. I'll be on the pavement with my hands and everything. It's funny.?

Making the most of their anniversary, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian held a vow renewal ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this past Friday (April 27).
Rimes looked gorgeous as she carried her bouquet of white flowers while sporting a long white dress as Eddie stood by in a white button-up shirt and grey trousers.
And of course LeAnn had plenty of Twitter coverage of the whole event, tweeting, ?Thought I?d share a few smiles and a special moment.?
She added, "Renewed our vows today....it's incredible to thank each other for the past year as husband and wife. Here's to another great year!"
Additionally, Rimes received a beautiful gem-and-diamond ring from Eddie, who was given a swanky watch from his bride.

With her new movie "Magic Mike" set to hit theaters on June 29th, Olivia Munn pitched in on promotions by gracing the cover of the May/June 2012 issue of Ocean Drive magazine.
The 31-year-old actress looked elegant in Gucci and Louis Vuitton ensembles for the Brian Bowen Smith shot spread while opening up about topics including her upcoming male stripper based film and trying to be an easy-going person.

On her character Joanna in 'Magic Mike':

Spotted out taking care of business, Taylor Swift was seen dropping by an office building in Santa Monica for a meeting on Tuesday (May 1).
The "Fearless" songstress kept it business casual in tan skinny jeans, a navy top and yellow flats as she made her way past the always present shutterbugs.
Although the "Teardrops on My Guitar" singer usually has a very busy schedule, it seems she has been making lots of time for friends and fun. As previously reported by GossipCenter, Taylor has been playing dress up, dancing and laughing the nights away with her closest pals.
Just this past weekend, the 22-year-old helped "Glee" beauty Dianna Agron ring in her 26th birthday. The 26-year-old actress had a circus themed party where she dressed up in an elaborate trapeze artist get-up while Miss Swift opted for a seductive tiger costume.
After partying the night away, the country superstar took to her Twitter page, writing, "The most magical night at @DiannaAgron's circus themed birthday party!?

LeAnn Rimes just published the ?official? photo from her one-year-wedding anniversary vow renewal ceremony. She put it on her Twitter, of course, with the message, ?Thought I’d share a few smiles and a special moment.? LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian renewed their vows last Friday (or Saturday?), and LeAnn has been tweeting about it ever since, bragging about how Eddie keeps complimenting her and how their love has ?endured?. And now we have the photo evidence! Some random thoughts, in no particular order:
*LeAnn seriously needs to stop posing with her giant mouth hanging up, stuck in a permanent ?NEIGH!!!? She poses like this on the red carpet too. It?s an awful pose. It?s not ?her thing.? It?s just horrible and unflattering.
*You?ve got to wonder what Eddie is thinking as he stares into the deep chasm of LeAnn?s constantly open mouth.
*LeAnn renewed her vows barefoot. And her feet look really weird in this photo, right? Her whole left foot and ankle look really messed up.
*Eddie renewed his vows in man flip-flops. Is that tacky? When the bride is barefoot, probably not.
*What is Eddie carrying? Does Eddie have a family Bible? Does he carry it around for spur-of-the-moment vow renewals? Was it not possible to leave the Bible with the priest/reverend/whomever while he and LeAnn posed for photos?
*I like LeAnn?s bouquet. A lot.
*I don?t hate LeAnn?s dress, but? she should have done something to harness her bolt-ons. I get that the renewal was easy-breezy/casual, but you?re still in some kind of church/chapel. Strap your girls down!!! Jesus is judging your wonky bolt-ons.
*I like the flower petals and candles in the aisle. Pretty. Of course, LeAnn looks like she?s about stomp on all of that when she rears her head up and starts prancing with her hooves.
*No one else is there, right? Just LeAnn, Eddie and the photographer? Was this even an official-ish vow renewal? Or did Eddie and LeAnn just want to pose for some photos in a chapel?

Showing off her amazing physique, LeAnn Rimes was spotted out on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico during her recent vacation.
The ?Can?t Fight the Moonlight? songstress chilled out with her husband Eddie Cibrian in a hammock, sporting a sexy two-piece bikini.
LeAnn was also seen frolicking on the beach and swimming in the sea in a variety of different swimsuits throughout her vacation. Rimes and Cibrian were in Cabo San Lucas to renew their wedding vows.
And though many celebrities complain about paparazzi attention, it seems like LeAnn was begging for some shutterbug love, prompting insiders to speculate that she was actually setting up the photo ops.
One source told FOX News, ?Those photographs came into all the magazines and websites fully captioned and saying, ?LeeAnn Rimes on a trip to renew her vows.? There is no vow renewing in those pictures. There is no way the paps would have known she was doing that unless she specifically told them.?
?Plus the paps just don?t get access like that in Cabo. They can?t get close enough to the celebrities without permission to get the quality of those photos. They were right next to her. There was no long lens. This was not intrusive in any way. This was a photo shoot.?

These are some new photos of Dita Von Teese out and about in London yesterday. The teal Herve L. Leroux dress is from her promotional appearance for her perfume. The gold dress (which is magnificent!) is from? I don?t even know. The photos say that she was leaving Claridge?s, but I don?t know if this is just how Dita ?dresses for dinner? or what have you. All I know is that I?m always in love with Dita, and I always enjoy her fashion shows. Her waist is killing me! She?s probably wearing a corset, right?
When I was covering photos from Coachella several weeks ago, I made a note that Dita seemed to be flying solo at the music festival, and that I missed seeing her gorgeous French boyfriend, Louis-Marie de Castelbajac. Several commenters schooled me! Apparently, there were some reports late last year than Dita and Louis-Marie were over. An Australian paper even claimed that while Dita was in Melbourne last November, she was quite taken with some local Aussie celebrity men. Several of you also claimed that Dita was seen making out with some dude at Coachella too. So? I guess that?s it for Count Pretty-Boy Von Frenchie. So long, dude. Rihanna’s film career is taking off, y’all. She’s actually receiving pretty good reviews for her performance in the upcoming Battleship (even though the movie itself is sure to be craptastic). She’s also been floated about as a possible contender for Fast Six (of the Fast and Furious franchise) and for a role in an upcoming Seth Rogen apocalypse comedy, the latter of which completely makes sense because she’s already expressed her adoration for his pothead movies. By the way, these are photos of Rihanna outside her NYC hotel last night, and I’m not quite understanding the outfit. It looks like a peach unitard that’s sort of wrapped in a tiny skirt and still manages to peek out the bottom of the skirt. As usual, RiRi is walking around and calling attention to her crotch area.
That’s not all the Rihanna news for today, because FHM UK has unveiled its 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2012 list, and RiRi is probably secretly delighted at this coup even though it’s not her fault you find her sexy. Presumably, RiRi has earned her slot in part because she loves to post bikini photos of herself all over the social media networks. Although the case could be made that FHM UK’s taste runs with “trashy” more than it does towards “sexy.”
Naturally, the top two spots on the list have gone to ladies who reside across the pond. Here is FHM’s pick for the #1 slot, Tulisa Contostavlos, who Kaiser and CB both think could easily fit in with the cast of “Jersey Shore.” Tulisa is a British singer as well as an “X-Factor” judge, and a slew of her own bikini photos can often be found at The Mail. Treating herself to a swanky evening out, Brittany Snow was spotted at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood last night (May 1).
The ?John Tucker Must Die? cutie looked lovely with her new red tresses along with a black lacy dress and brown fur-lined jacket.
Brittany?s next movie ?96 Minutes? is a new genre for her, as it?s a bit more gritty than film?s she?s taken on in the past.
She explained, ?Well, I initially got the script like four years ago and I loved it. I thought it was really intense and that the story was a very important story to tell. I met with the director Aimee Lagos, and she told me it was all inspired by true events, which just made it that much more interesting. I stuck with her the last four years pretty much just begging her to do it, and then it finally came together. My friend Evan [Ross] got cast and then Christian [Serratos], so that was really exciting -- but from the beginning, this has been something that I've been very passionate about.?
As for her experience making the film, Snow shared, ?If you know Evan, you know there's no not having fun. He's a really playful, fun guy, and that actually led to some difficulties because he and I are really close friends and we were constantly joking around. He would be making me laugh and then I'd have to go into hysterically crying. Now, he can cry at the drop of a hat and not have to work himself into it at all, which I don't understand, but I ... I can't do that! [laughs] It was a lot of playing around and so as intense as the movie is, we got along really, really well. We all became like a family. I know that sounds kind of, you know, cheesy, but it's true. I think was really important for the movie because we felt really safe with each other.?

Somebody?s going to get a bejeweled phone right in the kisser! And it will be preserved in all its glory on reality television. Yes, mega-diva Naomi Campbell is set to STAR in a new Oxygen reality series called The Face. Naomi?s role in the show will be as one of three ?supermodel coaches? – although Naomi is the only one who has been cast as of yet. Seriously, what self-respecting supermodel is going to sign on to play second-fiddle to Naomi?s unchecked ego and violent tendencies? They should call this show Who Wants to Be the Victim of a Felony Assault? Or The Face… That Is About To Get Smacked.
The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has tapped Naomi Campbell to star in The Face, a reality competition revolving around teams of models going head-to-head to become the spokesperson for a national brand.
Campbell will serve as one of three supermodel coaches, responsible for molding, nurturing and transforming contestants similar to another NBCUni property, The Voice. Campbell and the two other yet-to-be announced coaches will select their contenstants from a worldwide search before guiding them through weekly assignments.
“The Face is a fresh new series that delivers all the elements our audience craves: fashion, beauty and drama,? said Rod Aissa, senior vp original programming and development and Oxygen Media. “Oxygen has been looking for the next ideation in the modeling genre and this project delivers it.”
The Face comes as the female-skewing network has committed to increasing its original programming by 50 percent and joins the network that has been home to Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model.
For her part, the series marks Campbell’s latest small-screen gig, following guest spots on scripted series including The Cosby Show and New York Undercover.
The Face, which does not yet have a premiere date, hails from Shine Media, producers of The Biggest Loser and Tabatha Takes Over, among other properties.
The Oxygen order comes 10 days after the CW’s flagship Top Model franchise saw the departure of three longtime faces in Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander, who have been with the fashion series since its early days.
ANTM has been a valuable unscripted property for the network that has struggled with the reality genre. The series premiered earlier this year to a dismal 0.6 demo rating, down 45 percent year-over-year.

There?s another aspect to this, of course – Naomi has watched her contemporaries – Heidi Klum, Elle Macpherson, Tyra Banks, etc – find new careers on these reality shows. Naomi is one of the few supermodels from the 1980s who still regularly appears on magazine covers – just AS A MODEL. I feel like this is Naomi crying ?uncle? – she wants what the other girls have. Another layer to her career.
And yet another layer – what happened to living in Moscow with her still-married fianc? Did that not pan out the way Naomi was hoping? Will her relationship with Vladimir Doronin survive if Naomi has to be in LA or NYC for six months at a time?

Treating themselves to an evening of sport, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham were spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game at Staples Center last night (May 1).
The English soccer stud and his beautiful wife were joined by David?s mother and sister as they watched the game from their primo court side seats - with the night coming as an early birthday celebration for David, who turns 37-years-old today (May 2).
And when it came time for the Kiss Cam, Posh and Becks were singled out and ended up sharing a sweet smooch as the 20,000-person crowd cheered them on.
Of course, David and Victoria both looked super hot, with Mr. Becks sporting a black t-shirt, khakis and tattooed arms, while Mrs. Becks rocked a black jacket and jeans.
In the end, the hometown Lakers beat the visiting Denver Nuggets 104-100, taking a 2-0 lead in the first round matchup of the NBA Playoffs.

This story is a few days old in a sense because Victoria Beckham has already been making the rounds to pimp the new Range Rover that she “designed.” Victoria’s “Posh Rover” is a limited edition, Range Rover Evoque that (according to WENN) goes for twice the price of a regular Evoque at 80,000 (or roughly $130,000). Only 200 of these cars will be sold, and surely, some rich fools who love the Spice Girls will clamor for the pleasure of owning one of these vehicles. Or maybe not.
Victoria has given an interview about her “bag on wheels” to Vanity Fair (which understates the price at $90,000 — still expensive as hell). According to the article, Victoria was in charge of selecting the lustrous matte-gray exterior finish with black accents, and she also chose “a luscious baseball-stitched leather interior in a shade of saddle tan so rich it?s almost Italian.” Victoria also made the call on the interior’s mohair carpets and included a 4-pc, black-leather luggage set as well. Mohair carpets in a car, really? Here are some excerpts from the interview, and Victoria mentions David at every opportunity:
Why people will want her car: “I think that people will look at the car, and they’ll obviously see Range Rover, but they’ll also see me. It looks like me. I joked the other day–I had a matte-black crocodile structured handbag with me, and I looked at the bag and I looked at the car, and I said, ‘The car looks like a bag on wheels.’ It’s very me. It’s very, very me. I wanted it to be a car that I want to drive, and I wanted it to be a car that David wants to drive as well.”
On her first car: “My parents bought me a red Fiat Uno. I was 17 and just so happy to have a car, so I was very fortunate that my parents were in a position to get me one–it was a secondhand car, but I was just so happy to have it. And my mum, to make it extra special for me, sprayed the hubcaps red. When I got my first paycheck from the Spice Girls, I [then] got an MG-F convertible. It was a really nice purple color. But it was very cool, very stylish. I mean I’ve always loved cars, as does David. And definitely the cars got better after I met David.”
Does she have a driving story? “Oh my God, you know what I did the other day? This is a funny story. I got up in the morning, and I knew that I had a whole morning full of conference calls. So I got up early with Harper, sorted Harper out, got all the kids their breakfast, got them ready for school, put Harper in the car seat, and said, ‘Come on, kids, we have to get going or we’re going to be late’–every morning I take Brooklyn, and David takes the little boys to school. We take it in turns because they go to two different schools. So I jump in my Range Rover, put the car seat in, put my iPod on–obviously very important–and I drive to school. And then I realize, I’d left Brooklyn in the kitchen. I was driving along, talking away, and all the sudden, I looked at the front seat, and I was like, ‘Sh-t! Sh-t! I’ve forgot something!’
“I’d gotten down the road, and I literally had to turn around and drive back up the driveway. And David was standing there in the driveway with all three boys, just [shakes her head]. And I felt like such an idiot because I was in such a rush. Harper was in the car, I was in the car, and we were on the way to school. But we did not have the child who needed to go to school.”

Victoria’s actually kind of amusing in an out-of-touch sort of way. Such excess! Her story about accidentally leaving Brooklyn at home is cute, and it reminds me once of something my own mother did. She drove off with my sister and me in the car and accidentally got halfway down the block before realizing that my brother was still sitting inside his baby carrier in the living room at home. I’m probably not supposed to tell that story, but oh well.
Here are more photos of Victoria promoting her “design.” I wonder if it those baseball-stitched leather seats are super-tight with a zipper up each of their backsides. That seems to be the theme of her dress line, and I can see why she’d aim for, uh, consistency.

This Scarlett Johansson interview in The Independent (UK) is several days old. But it?s been a slow-burner, for good reason. Scarlett seems? how do I put this? ?Conceited? feels like the wrong word. She?s full of herself, obviously. She puffs herself up, she has a very high opinion of herself. I admire confidence in a woman (and a man), but I also appreciate some humility, some pragmatism, some acknowledgment that blowing smoke up your own ass is a neat party trick and not much more. You can read the full Independent piece here – it?s one of those interviews where the writer has done it in fake ?first person? – like it?s actually Scarlett sitting down and writing out her thoughts in essay form. It?s not a good medium for Scarlett?s brain farts, let me tell you.
I never wanted to be a sex symbol I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I mostly admire. I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing. It’s not like I actively look for sexy roles. It’s not a requirement that my character be pretty and delicate. I never think about my character being sexy, unless that’s written in.
It’s weird to be a recognisable face I’m not traumatised [by it] but I find it can bring out the worst in humanity sometimes. I’m constantly surprised by how rude people are. You’ll be having an intimate dinner with a friend and there’s somebody on the table behind with a cameraphone pointing at your face. I think, “I would never take a photo of someone without asking.”
When I was younger, my mum made sure I had a relatively normal life I went to school, I had neighbourhood friends, I went to camp. That kind of thing. Also, it was different back then. Recently, the media is unhealthily obsessed with very young actors. They’re very critical of them.
I think I have a little bit of my father’s Danish sense of humour He has a very dry wit. Being half-Danish, we regularly celebrated Danish culture growing up. We’d have a Danish Christmas. My mother is Jewish but we celebrated the holiday, more as a celebration of Danish culture than anything else. We always went to the Danish Seamen’s Church [in New York] and all kinds of festivals.
I don’t answer any questions about my private life I’m not a politician or anything like that, so I shouldn’t have to reveal that. I mean, people have enough. They pry so much that some things need to be personal. I feel no pressure. I just feel pressure to show up to work on time. I don’t feel like I have to be a certain way.
It excited me to play the part in ‘Avengers Assemble’ of a very strong woman Often-times in action films, and in comic-book movies, the female is the damsel in distress or a love interest, something like that. But Black Widow is intimidating. She wasn’t fighting and posing with the wind in her hair! She gets down and dirty ? I like that.
I always make decisions based on my emotions I’m not very practical. I think I’m hyper-sensitive and I use that for my job, so there are certainly a lot of differences to Black Widow. She has to remain unfeeling and lukewarm, in a sense. To keep a distance and not make decisions based on her emotions.
I never wanted to play Marilyn Monroe [Johansson was reportedly in the running to play the actress in last year's My Week with Marilyn.] I don’t know. It’s just a job ? I didn’t have the passion for that. I love Marilyn Monroe. She’s a very underrated actor but it just seemed exhausting in a way that I couldn’t wrap my head around.

I don?t remember speculation about Scarlett possibly getting the role in My Week With Marilyn. Perhaps it was just a ?Who looks most like Marilyn these days?? kind of thing, and Scarlett was never seriously considered for the part. Thank God. Because although I wasn?t in love with the film, I did think Michelle did some of her best work in that movie. Scarlett would have mouth-breathed throughout the role. Which she’ll now be doing throughout the role of Janet Lee in that movie about Alfred Hitchcock.

Yesterday, Jessica Simpson gave birth at long last. It felt like she was gestating for more than a year, especially considering I (correctly) called Bump Watch on Jessica way back in September of last year – because she already looked three months along at that point. It?s totally fun to go back and look at the photos of Jessica in her first trimester – she was showing so early! That?s why people think she was pregnant for so long. As for the name – Maxwell ?Maxi? Drew Johnson – well, there are some complaints. Us Weekly explains why Jessica and Eric chose the name:
Jessica Simpson’s name for her baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, has received mixed reviews from her fans. But the name is very special to her family! The new mom and her fiance Eric Johnson welcomed Maxwell into the world on Tuesday morning.
Announcing the birth on her website, the singer and designer wrote, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby Maxwell Drew Johnson 9 lbs. 13 oz. 21 3/4.”
Both the Johnson and Simpson family names are carried on with the couple’s new daughter. Maxwell is Eric’s middle name and his grandmother’s surname. Maxwell takes her middle name from maternal grandmother Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.
Without revealing the name, Simpson talked about the baby name in the April issue of Elle saying, “It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it they’ll know ? why.”

Now that I know that it?s a ?family name? I like it a bit more. I like the idea of naming a kid after a grandparent or beloved aunt or something like that. But naming a baby girl her father?s middle name? Eh. I truly thought there would be a more Southern flavor to the name – like, Something Leigh or Magnolia BBQ.
Oh, and Hollywood Life claims Jessica is staying in a three-room maternity suite at Cedar-Sinai in LA at a cost of $3,784 a day. I still think Jessica probably had a C-section.
Us Weekly also has a story in which Jessica?s mother, Tina, was overheard talking about her newborn granddaughter, saying: ?Maxwell is so precious and peaceful.” And just hours before Jessica gave birth, the Simpson family and the Johnson family all had breakfast together. An eyewitness says: ?The party included Joe and Tina Simpson. They all sat at a corner table together and were in good spirits. The family was joking about astrological signs and what traits various family members had, and what the new baby could be like. Tina said she felt Jessica was in good spirits while others joked Eric seemed to be the nervous one.” A May 1st birthday means little Maxi is a Taurus. It?s a good sign – I have a lot of Tauri in my life. They?re all stubborn but generous people.

"The Shops is not meant to be an either-or equation," a spokesman said in an interview with WWD. "It's in addition to how we interpret affordable design. We'll continue to work with partners such as Jason Wu and Missoni."

A sexy Jude Law was spotted making a quick change on the set of his new film ?The Bitter Pill? in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (May 1).
The ?Sherlock Holmes? actor made his way to the dressing room in a plain white tee and sweats, but quickly exited his trailer looking dashing and ready to get his workday started in a business casual suit.
In personal news, the 39-year-old star recently spoke to GQ magazine about the importance of professionalism in Tinseltown.
"Gone are the days when people could drink vodka off-set and them stumble on and do their lines," Law said. "In a Sherlock Holmes film you're going to get exhausted or injured and you're going to stall a massive engine that's costing a lot of money. Robert Downey Jr does lots of yoga and Kung Fu. He's become a fitness fanatic and is in incredible shape. I like a drink, a late night and a good meal, but there's no point turning up for work feeling rubbish."
"As an actor you crave the freedom to lie in bed and eat what you want, because you're signing yourself over to a schedule, but then when you haven't got it, your life feels out of sorts," Law added. "It's fun to be on set, feeling your best and being ahead of the game."
