As we discussed, Simone Ashley?s role was almost entirely cut from F1, the Joseph Kosinski-directed vroom-vroom movie. It?s looking more and more like Apple and Kosinski decided that if they were spending $300 million-plus on this stupid production, they needed to center everything on Brad Pitt rather than the actors of color. It would not surprise me at all if Damson Idris?s role was dramatically downsized from what it was originally supposed to be as well. Simone filmed a supporting role as Idris?s character?s girlfriend. She was on set filming off-and-on for months on the two-year production. What?s even more galling is that Simone was already promoting F1 as well she?s been promoting multiple projects for months, and she?s talked up F1 and even done F1-specific appearances. All of that to see her role cut down to the point where she doesn?t even have any lines in the movie. Joseph Kosinski confirmed the drastic cut to People Mag:
Simone Ashleys part in F1 was ultimately cut from the final film. It was announced in July 2024 that the Bridgerton star had been cast in the high-octane Formula One racing drama alongside Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, and she was later photographed filming scenes for the project.
However, her role was removed from the film, which also stars Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia and Javier Bardem. (She briefly appears onscreen but has no lines of dialogue.)
When asked about the change to Ashleys part, director Joseph Kosinski tells PEOPLE, It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use. There were two or three storylines that ultimately didnt make into the final cut.
But Simone, shes an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again, Kosinski adds.
The actress has not spoken out about how her role was reduced in the film as of yet.
Speaking to ELLE earlier this month, Ashley, 30, said making F1 was a crazy experience. I have a very small part, but I?m grateful to be in that movie, she said at the time. I got to experience many Grands Prix. I don?t think I?ll ever do anything like that again.

I hope it?s clear that I?m waging a little ?don?t watch this movie? campaign. I was already waging that campaign before this Simone Ashley news, mostly because Brad Pitt is trash and Apple needs to stop investing obscene amounts of money platforming his abusive ass. But this Simone story is galling, and it really pisses me off that she was almost entirely cut out of this movie. Ten bucks says that there are lots and lots of lingering shots of Brad?s janky facelift and a lot of attention paid to HIS storyline.

Many female celebrities have begun speaking out about going through menopause. I really appreciate those kinds of stories. Well, now male celebrities have entered the chat. Josh Duhamel is stepping up to speak for middle-aged men.
Josh participated in a Men?s Health Lab panel last week to promote his new wellness company, Gatlan Health. Gatlan aims to help men with hormone treatments, medical weight loss, and hairline treatment. Josh, 52, shared that he recently realized that he was feeling off. He saw a doctor and discovered that he had low testosterone levels. Josh decided to take testosterone to stay ?virile? for his 31-year-old wife.
Josh Duhamel, 52, said that his wife was a factor in his decision to begin hormone replacement therapy. ?Its important for her that I stay as young and virile for as long as I can, the actor said of his wife Audra Mari, 31. Duhamel and Mari wed in 2022.
Outside of his intimate life, the actor elaborated on other facets of his personal life that the hormone replacement therapy has positively impacted. ?I think that there is an overall wellness, you know, just for just for those purposes alone ? , he said.
The actor continued, Just having that energy, that that that desire to go out and achieve, be a better dad, be a better brother, be a better friend, be a better business owner, you dont taper off like you would normally?and I think that thats also one of the benefits of it, mentally and physically.?
Duhamel shares son Axl, 11, with ex-wife Fergie. The couple divorced in 2019. He shares son Shepherd, 1, with Mari.
When it came to the decision to begin taking testosterone, Duhamel revealed that he had low levels of the hormone when he was tested by a doctor. ?Id been hearing about this for a while?about testosterone replacement therapy?and it was one of those things that I didnt want to talk about, neither did anybody I was asking about it, he said.
The actor continued, And I think that it was just, I took an inventory, a personal inventory, of how I was feeling, and I knew that I wasnt quite where I was at five, 10, years before. Thats when I got myself tested, and realized my levels were low, and thats when I decided to start doing it.
Duhamel reflected further on how taking testosterone has positively impacted his physical strength. It?s just one of those things that just changed my world. I literally got my mojo back. And now its become, not so much about the aesthetics of it, as much as it is being around for my kids and being able to roll around the dirt with them like I could have when I was younger, he said.
Duhamels conversation with Mens Health comes as he begins his journey as the co-founder of Gatlan Health. Gatlan Health works to help men reclaim their strength, confidence, and vitality through cutting-edge solutions and a holistic approach to wellness, per the official website.

The first thing that struck me when I read Josh?s story was just how easy it was for him, a man, to get tested and then begin hormone replacement therapy. If only it were that easy for everyone who needs HRT. I?ve heard first-hand and read a lot of stories/comments online from women who have to beg for medical intervention to help them with menopause.
That said, I have zero problems with Josh taking testosterone to treat any of the other low T symptoms he was suffering from. That?s what modern medicine is for! I did not have Josh Duhamel starting a mens wellness brand on my bingo card, but here we are. I appreciate him sharing his story because we live in an era with a disturbing, renewed focus on toxic masculinity and a constant demand for men to prove that they are ?real? men. If Josh can break through to even one man that?s struggling but too embarrassed to admit something?s wrong, then that?s great!

A few days ago, the promos began? the Duchess of Sussex would make an appearance on another podcast. Meghan?s first podcast interview (as the subject) was on her friend Jamie Kern Lima?s podcast. Now Meghan took part in her second-ever pod interview, this time with Emma Grede?s Aspire pod. Emma Grede is a huge name behind the scenes she?s the founding partner of Skims (Kim Kardashian?s multi-billion-dollar company) and CEO of Good American (Khloe Kardashian?s denim brand). Grede is exceptionally well-connected and she?s also British! It?s great to see a British person enthusiastically interview Meghan Grede does not have an axe to grind, she?s not spouting tabloid talking points, she?s just really into hearing Meghan?s story as a founder and entrepreneur.
There were two notable moments already being endlessly previewed on Monday. Grede asked Meghan: ?I want to say this to you in the best way, because I wonder: If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything that you would do differently?? Meghan replied: ?Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth.? Meghan also brought up the ?baby mama dance? video she posted on her IG:

Grede, who was born and raised in London and lives in L.A. with her husband, Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede, and their four children, said she had: We maybe watched it like 20 times yesterday, and I was like, is that, is that her? Is that Prince Harry there with the fingers?I was like, okay?good on Harry, lets go. But thats you, right? Like thats you in a way that we kind of havent been able to see you before?.And I did like a little secret cheer, cause I was like, well, thats what I kind of want to see from you. Like I wanna see that happiness and that honesty and that ?I dont give a f? kind of thing.?
Meghan points out that the video was several years old and that the clip serves as a reminder that people arent getting the entire picture when it comes to her life.
That was four years ago, she says. So its also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, theres still a whole life ? a real, authentic, fun life ? thats happening behind the scenes?. Im just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.?

Meghan keeps reminding everyone that she has an actual life a full, beautiful, joyful life away from their bullsh-t tabloid narratives.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez?s wedding is coming up soon. I forgot that this is supposed to be a three-day affair in Venice June 26-28. While that hasn?t been solidly confirmed, the New York Times had a story about Italians organizing protests and demonstrations against Bezos for those dates. So far, about 300 Italians are planning something. But I don?t think they?ll do much to disrupt what sounds like a huge military operation at this point. This is Jeff Bezos using his money to rent out one of the most famous cities in the world for three days.
In a little under two weeks, Bezos will marry Lauren Snchez in a ceremony that will be markedly different from his first. This time, Bezos is essentially buying Venice.
However, at times like this it?s important to retain some sense of relativity. Sure, the wedding party has reportedly booked out five luxury hotels for the three-day bash as well as an island monastery that has twice hosted G7 summits, and it has commandeered the city?s entire fleet of water taxis; plus, Elton John and Lady Gaga are apparently playing at the reception. And, sure, the wedding itself might happen onboard Bezos?s $500 million super-yacht, Koru?a boat so ostentatious that it requires an additional $75 million yacht to trail it?which has to be moored away from the center of Venice because its size will disrupt the eco-system. But, still, let?s not forget that this is the pared-back version.
No, really. Rumors initially pegged the Bezos-Snchez union for Aspen, which would host a $600 million blowout event. But that idea was shelved, possibly as a response to the almighty blowback the couple experienced when Bezos flew Snchez to space with Katy Perry in matching skintight designer jumpsuits. Instead, they have chosen to be what one guest described as ?less Marie Antoinette? about it, limiting themselves to a low-key $10 million bash. Try telling that to the locals, though.
That said, it should be pointed out that Venice wanted this. In fact, it actively lobbied for it, with the city council?s director general, Morris Ceron, being tipped off about it seven months beforehand by none other than Domenico Dolce, half of the Dolce & Gabbana design duo. ?We were in competition with other places but we won out,? bragged Mayor Luigi Brugnaro of Ceron?s hustle. Or, as local activist Matteo Secchi told The Telegraph, ?This is Venice behaving as a prostitute.?
In truth, for all its city-stopping spectacle, the most awe-inspiring thing about the Bezos-Snchez marriage might be the pre-nup. Described by the Economic Times as ?ironclad? and ?on par with a major business merger, the deal has been months in the making and was apparently drafted because Bezos endured such a hit during his last divorce that his lawyers expressly forbade him from marrying Snchez until something unsinkable had been put into place. After all, true love might be eternal, but so are those 007 rights. And let?s be honest, those are probably harder to replace.

Honestly, I understand the perspective of the Venice officials though if they work with Bezos and lay some ground rules, things will move along smoothly and there won?t be any catastrophic damage to the delicate Venice ecosystem. People are acting like Bezos is going to drop the Koru?s anchor in the middle of a Venice canal that is not what this is, although I think it?s accurate to describe it as ?renting out an entire city.? As for the prenup? we?ve heard about that before, and it?s one of the least notable gossip stories. Of course Bezos is getting a prenup! He actually doesn?t need one though Lauren isn?t leaving him.

Last night, F1 premiered in New York. Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon arrived in New York days earlier, and they were getting photographed constantly over the weekend, with Brad wearing an array of terrible ensembles. He ?cleaned up? for the premiere, wearing a navy double-breasted suit and no tie. Ines de Ramon was the one with the wacky style at the premiere a feathered maxi skirt and a boho-esque midriff-baring top, all with a black belt. Ines has a great figure, but her style is so? odd. And for a jewelry designer, I rarely even notice her jewelry.
This wasn?t their couple-debut at one of Brad?s premieres Ines attended the Wolfs premiere in Venice last year with Brad. I think this is the first time they?ve done a premiere together on American soil. It speaks to how hard Brad is shilling for F1 he?s even done multiple photo-ops with Tim Cook, Apple?s CEO. Apple financed this catastrophe to the tune of $300 million (likely much more, if you consider the promo budget). Brad also did something like a normal-ish junket this weekend, which was probably his first junket in more than a decade.
In case you were wondering about Brad?s in-the-club-in-1998/palazzo-pants style these days, GQ pointed out something interesting Brad has apparently hired stylist Taylor McNeill. It seems to be a recent hire, and it?s more than possible that McNeill was hired just to dress Brad throughout F1?s promotion. McNeill is best known as Timothee Chalamet?s longtime stylist, and McNeill has also notably styled Kendrick Lamar this year (for the Super Bowl no less). It makes perfect sense that Brad would want to work with a stylist who is famous for working with much younger men. Brad is 61 going on 26, and that?s not a compliment.
