Hopping around town for a few errands, Ryan Phillippe stopped by a convenience store in Los Angeles, CA earlier this week.
While in the mart, the ?Cruel Intentions? hunk picked up a pack of Emergen-C and finished the items on his to-do list.
Meanwhile, Phillippe is getting ready for his directorial debut with ?Catch Hell.? According to Deadline, Entertainment One Films announced that it acquired the US and Canadian distribution rights to the thriller and is aiming for a fall release.
Phillippe also wrote the screenplay with Joe Gossett and produced the film with Robert Ogden Barnum and Holly Wiersma. He also stars in the flick.

Celebrating her critically-acclaimed project, Maggie Gyllenhaal stepped out for ?The Honorable Woman? screening in New York City on Wednesday night (July 23).
Clad in a hip black and white dress, the 36-year-old actress struck a pose on the red carpet inside the Crosby Street Hotel and mingled with guests including Padmka Lakshmi and her husband Peter Sarsgaard.
As for her hubby, Maggie chatted with the Wall Street Journal and said that Peter is going to write and direct a film for her to star in.
?He's about two-thirds through the script,? Gyllenhaal said. ?We want to make it super super low-budget. It takes place in 1904. We want to shoot maybe 10 days in upstate NY and then three weeks in Northern Canada. And then I'm in the process of buying [the rights to] a book I can't tell you about yet. So much of the time I'm just raising my hand and saying 'I'd like to do that,' or waiting for someone else to write something. It's nice to be able to try to put a budget together.?

Robin Thicke has finally given up, y’all. He’s done stalking his estranged wife, Paula Patton, with creepy videos and his “artistic” endeavors. Robin really thought that the #GetHerBack campaign would make Paula forget about him groping randoms and hitting on “young” chicks. It didn’t work, thank goodness. And Robin’s album flopped so hard. His career is now a PR disaster because no one wants to buy an album full of “songs to stalk by.” He may be able to one day salvage his R&B/soul fanbase, but it will take a lot of redemption. As for Robin’s marriage to Paula? He’s finally given up on making it work:
Robin Thicke is waving the white flag … telling people in his camp his marriage to Paula Patton has collapsed.
Thicke certainly gave a strong sign the union is over by listing his L.A. home Monday. Paula has not lived in the house since their separation in February, after that grab-ass pic became public.
Sources connected with Robin tell TMZ … an attorney is already working on a financial settlement — separating assets.
Our sources say, however, neither side has hired a divorce lawyer.
Thicke is saying he will NOT be the one who files for divorce … she’ll have to do it. But he says he’s done begging and is moving on.

The family home really is up for sale. You can see photos of the house here (it looks less tacky than I expected). I am impressed at how Paula has gone off the radar during this whole mess. No one has seen her since Oscar weekend (shortly after they announced the separation). She pulled out of public life and let Robin make a fool of himself like a champ. He did it to himself, so I can’t feel bad for the guy. He probably still doesn’t “get it” either. The only reason he’s waving the flag is because his career is now in the hole. If Paula had been a commercial hit, he’d feel vindicated and wouldn’t have given up yet.
Oh, and I just checked 1-800-Flowers, and they finally pulled their Robin-themed bouquets. Good.

Real question: why does Mario Lopez like LeAnn Rimes so much? Lopez is one of LeAnn?s go-to interviewers consistently, and he always soft-balls questions to her (and Eddie). While I think Mario is a shady character, it doesn?t seem like LeAnn is the kind of celebrity he would need to suck up to, you know? Anyway, LeAnn and Eddie appeared on Extra yesterday and Extra has only released two interview clips thus far. The first clip is all about LeAnn and Eddie?s admission to Life & Style that they had told Eddie?s sons all about their affair.

?The kids actually came to us and asked, very nonchalantly over dinner, and Eddie was very honest with them in a way that you can be with a 7-year-old and 11-year-old. He?s always the first person to say how much he loves me, and they see that in our house, and they feel that, so I think it?s important not to lie to children. They understand way more?We both never want them to come back and say, ?You weren?t honest with us about this.? They?re very open with us, which us cool.?
Here?s what I don?t get: why is LeAnn doing the talking? This is something that should be between Eddie and BRANDI and they should decide together about what they say to Mason and Jake. And beyond that, no one should be talking about this stuff in public because OMG, SHUT UP. This is funny too: ?He?s always the first person to say how much he loves me, and they see that in our house?? Oh, honey. He won?t even answer the question in public.

Here?s my line: I will not criticize Kim?s elbow fat. Because OMG, do not give her a complex about ?fat elbows? or she?ll just go in for even more plastic surgery. Enough! As for the reasons why Kim has ?elbow fat? (UGH!!!), Star says that Kim has been eating away the pain of her terrible marriage:

Sigh? if only they made Spanx for elbows, eh? Here?s my take on all of this: Kim knew what was up. Kanye was barely around before they got married, why would it be any different now that they?re married? And while I think Kim has gained a little weight over the past two months, I think that?s it is far more likely that she was crash-dieting before the wedding so she could fit into her dress, and once the wedding was over, she?s eating normally again. Anyway, I think Kimye is going to last. For at least a year or more.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were once considered to be two of the wildest members of young Hollywood, but a source close to the couple tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that Mila has certainly tamed her bad boy fianc and father-to-be ? and vice-versa. With a daughter on the way, Kutcher would rather be at home with Mila than out on the Hollywood scene, and there seems to be good reason.

The story is super-complicated and it?s about Simon Cowell and his sexuality, which? most people don?t want to think about that much. So, here you go Person Who Repeatedly Commented ?I Can?t Believe You Aren?t Covering The Simon Cowell-Gay Story.? Without going too deep, there?s some kind of celebrity-tinged trial involving Tulisa Contostavlos, who is on The X Factor with Simon. Someone at the trial said (in open court) that Simon is gay and there are men who will verify that they?ve slept with Simon. Scandal! Or not so much. Simon?s people released a statement about it:
Simon Cowell has released a statement reminding everyone that he?s straight after it was suggested that he was gay in a recording played in a UK courtroom last week. In the taped conversation, fellow X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos?s personal assistant, Gareth Varey, tells a man identified as Mazher Mahmood that [Simon], 54, is gay, explaining that he knew because, ?I know people who have,? reports E! News.
?Simon was referred to during the trial without forewarning, resulting in widespread media coverage of untrue claims regarding his private life,? a statement from the television producer?s lawyers said. ?In 2014 the question of whether someone is or is not gay is antiquated. (As it happens he isn?t, though if he were, he would simply have said so).?
The statement went on to say that Cowell addressed the suggestion only because he takes his reputation as someone who is brutally honest very seriously.
?However, the issue was the false suggestion made by Mr. Varey that Simon?who is renowned for his honesty and candidness?had thus not been truthful in the public arena and this is what we have been obliged to clarify,? the statement added.
On Wednesday, Varey released a statement apologizing for the insinuation.
?At some point and utterly out of the blue Mahmood asked me if Simon Cowell was gay. I said he was,? he said in the statement. ?This is not true. I do not know why I said it, but assume it is because I was so drunk and felt that I was giving Mahmood the type of information he was seeking. I am very sorry for this.?
Once known as a notorious bachelor, Cowell has finally settled down with Lauren Silverman, who gave birth to the television personality?s first child, Eric, in February. The couple recently purchased a $10 million luxury apartment on the Upper East Side.

So, that?s the story. Here?s what I think: Simon is telling the truth. If he was gay, he would be gay. He would sleep with men. He would have a harem of men, openly and honestly. But he?s straight. Kate Hudson made an appearance on The View yesterday to promote that new Zach Braff crowdfunded movie she’s starring in called Wish I Was Here. (You can see the trailer here. Mandy Patinkin is also in it, and it looks cute.) You know who else was on The View yesterday? Royal a**hole Jason Biggs was co-hosting. It seemed fitting to me that he was sitting right next to Jenny McCarthy during this interview like they were best buds.
Anyway Jenny asked Kate if she considers herself an unconventional parent, since she and Zach play “unconventional” parents in this movie. Her answer was very diplomatic and open. I always like Kate when I see her in interviews, she’s so friendly and smiley and it doesn’t come off as fake. Her mom Goldie Hawn is like that too.

What is conventional these days? We’ll start with I’ve got two children from two different fathers so that’s definitely unconventional. I’m actually a strict parent. I’m very strict. I’m strict when it comes to manners. I don’t like — I think kids get too much too fast. So Ryder of course wants a cell phone like every 10-year-old kid now. It starts around 10 and I’m just like ‘You can get a pager.’ He can get a pager when he’s 12.
Jason Biggs asks if she has plans to get married
Again, I think this goes back to growing up in an unconventional family… We’re happy, we’re married. We’ve got kids and a family and we’ve got to find our time together alone. We are in it. I think if we do get married it will be for the kids, really. For us, we’re just happy.
I know that’s not really necessarily a golden ticket but there is something beautiful about the security of marriage. And we’ll get there when we get there.

After Kate said that, Whoopi pointed out that “your mom and dad are perfect examples” of people who “didn’t do it the conventional way.” That’s right, Goldie and Kurt Russell have been together over 30 years but they’ve never married. Goldie has said that’s the way they prefer it and it obviously works for them.
Kate and Matt Bellamy have had an on-off relationship and I don’t think they should get married for the kids at all. It’s probably a better idea for them to just keep things the way they are for now. There’s no hurry to get married.
I love what Kate said about making sure her kids, son Ryder, 10, and Bingham, 3, have manners and aren’t spoiled. I think it’s important to teach kids to be polite and say “please” and “thank you.”
Say what you will about Kate, she always comes across as gracious in interviews and we’ve never heard diva rumors about her. She’ll tell you about her life too, it’s not like she’s dodging personal questions.

I know, shocking. So, it?s full circle at the moment. Eddie?s sons get to read about their parents endless shenanigans, then they get the information verified by LeAnn and Eddie, then the kids get to read about how they got the information verified in the press. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian may have been famously married to other people when they fell in love and started a torrid affair in 2009, but in an exclusive interview with Life & Style, the couple reveals they have told Eddie?s children all about the affair.
?We?ve had discussions with them about the whole situation,? Eddie says in the new issue of Life & Style, on stands now, of their honesty with Mason, 11, and Jake, 7, about their infidelity. ?They understand more than you think they do,? LeAnn adds.
Being part of a blended family can be challenging, but LeAnn and Eddie found a way to make it work: therapy. I?ll agree that kids understand more than their parents believe they understand. Kids know when mom & dad are fighting. They know when divorce is on the table. They know when mom or dad is fooling around too. But I just wish that both Brandi and Eddie would stop using those kids as publicity tools. I wish they would stop talking about them in the press, full-stop. This stuff is private. They shouldn?t splash this information around in the media.
Also, those kids are going to figure out (if they haven?t already) that their stepmom is crazy. Those poor boys.

It?s like an interesting take on the ?behind the scenes? magazine features and I guess Vogue is somewhat original for the way they?re carrying it out. Sarah Jessica Parker did a memorable 73 Questions (she was the first one) and I would give SJP bonus points because she let them film inside her NYC home. Anyway, Blake is the latest subject of Vogue?s 73 Questions, probably to go along with her Vogue cover. Here you go:
Call me crazy, but I sort of like the way she comes across here. Is this how she is normally? Because she?s sexier and more interesting in action, as herself. I don?t think much of her as an actress or a model, but she?s charming as ?herself?. I could totally see her hosting some kind of cooking or lifestyle show because she?s got that sort of watchable quality.
As for her answers and activities? I like that she takes off her shoes as soon as she gets in the apartment. Her dress is sexy and boob-tastic. She really cares about icing that cupcake too. She?s a dog person, she loves desserts, she cares about family and she refers to her ?husband? (never his name) a few times. But some of her answers were BS. When asked which Sex & the City character she identifies with, she says ?mostly? the men?? No, Blake. You are Charlotte and Carrie. You are Charlotte and Carrie SO HARD.

Just a few days ago, Leonardo DiCaprio was partying in Miami. He was rocking out with his belly out, letting the ocean mist on his glorious ponytail and beer gut. Now Leo is on a yacht in St. Tropez. These photos are from Tuesday, where Leo managed to keep his shirt on (yay!) but he wanted to show his bros his cool karate moves. High kick! Twirl! Well, at least he?s having fun, I guess. He?s having a nice summer off. A summer full of bikini models and no girlfriend? That?s what the NYDN says about Leo?s weekend in Miami:
Leonardo DiCaprio is a few months shy of 40 and has been in a relationship for more than a year ? but that didn’t stop the actor from swooping into Miami for Swim Week, the high holy days of hot chicks in bikinis.
Confidenti@l hears that the ?Wolf of Wall Street? star (near r.), recently seen frolicking in the sand and carrying a few extra pounds, and buddies including actors Lukas Haas and Kevin Connolly, flew in by private jet just to enjoy the, er, festivities. The group hit the clubs with a ?harem? of models, DiCaprio?s girlfriend Toni Garrn not included.
?It?s Swim Week, so bikini models from all over are in town. It?s just crawling with them,? said our source. ?Leo and his guys came down specially. None of them were filming or in production; there really aren?t too many good reasons to be in Miami in July. They just came to follow the models.?
On Friday night, DiCaprio ? who has dated a G-string of lingerie models, most recently Erin Heatherton and Bar Refaeli ? and his gang hit Adore nightclub, where, the spy says, they were surrounded by some 25 models. ?The emphasis was on the women,? said the insider. ?They were chatting with them, having fun.?
Apparently the actors and their new friends left in a ?mass exodus? around 4:30 a.m. Saturday but were right back on the scene the following night, this time dropping in on the Wall nightclub, where, we?re told, they ordered up a flood of booze.
?They took over huge portions of the club, having every bottle available ? Champagne, vodka, whisky, tequila and beers,? said the source. ?It was like a pop-up bar in their area.? Again, the crew closed down the club a little before 5 a.m.
A rep for DiCaprio declined to comment, but a source close to the actor said: ?After they left the club, Leo and his friends got in a car and went home. He is actually headed to Saint-Tropez to meet Toni Garrn for the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation fund-raiser.?

Ah, so Toni knows what?s up. She?s probably always known what?s up. That?s probably part of the deal upfront ? you get to be Leo?s official and get a career boost out of that, but he?s going to bang lots and lots of models on the side. So, Toni is with him in St. Tropez? He must have busted out his karate moves for her. I wonder if she was impressed.

I tend to think Sandra Bullock is friends with everybody. You know? Sandy is Sandy. Sandy has good people around her, people she trusts, people who do their jobs well. Sandy can be a mystery wrapped in an enigma, and yet? what you see is often what you get. Does that make sense? Anyway, Sandy knows everybody. She?s friends with everybody. So would it surprise anyone to learn that Sandra is now BFFs with Jennifer Aniston? Aw, two America?s Sweethearts, together at last.
A new friend for our favorite Friend! Jennifer Aniston has found herself a new bestie in Sandra Bullock, a source close to Aniston tells Us Weekly exclusively.
“Jen and Sandra are new BFFs,” the insider tells Us. “They’re very excited about the new friendship.”
Aniston, 45, got to know Bullock, 49, over a dinner party at mutual pal Gwyneth Paltrow’s house. They bonded over many things, likely including their epic, painful divorces (Aniston’s from Brad Pitt, Bullock’s from Jesse James), and their shared ex-boyfriend Tate Donovan.
Bullock was engaged to Donovan, now 50, in the early 1990s, but the couple split before they had a chance to say “I do.” Just a few years later, in the mid-1990s, Donovan — who guest starred on Friends as Rachel Green’s love interest Joshua Burgin — presented a ring to Aniston, who ended her relationship with the 24: Live Another Day star in 1998.
“Sandra and Jen have a lot in common and enjoy each other’s company,” the source adds. “They have been having each other over for dinner regularly.”
Earlier this year, the actresses — who also share a friend in Chelsea Handler — were rumored to team up for an upcoming comedy flick with Cameron Diaz, but there has yet to be further confirmation on the supposed plans.

I?m surprised they connected through Gwyneth Paltrow. THAT seems like the most random part. You?d think they would have connected through their mutual friend Chelsea Handler. I think that for Sandra, it?s sort of embarrassing for unnamed sources to claim that you?re ?very excited? about a new female friend. But for Jennifer? I could see how she would be very excited. Especially since she wants to duplicate Sandra?s Hollywood trajectory of ?rom-com queen? to ?Oscar winner.? Jennifer?s probably looking for tips.
Or, you know, maybe they just smoke pot together? I don?t know if Sandy partakes though. Aniston definitely does though.
