Radar claims that Jennifer feels passionately about dolphins, so much so that she flat-out refuses to travel to Japan because of Japan?s ?dolphin hunting practices.? Come to think of it? she never goes to Japan to promote her movies, does she? And I just thought that she never did Asian tours because?? Well, I guess I?ve never thought about.
Sushi fan Jennifer Aniston won?t be enjoying hand rolls in Tokyo any time soon. Radar has learned that despite international star Aniston?s popularity in Japan, the actress refuses to set foot in the country because of its dolphin hunting practices.
?Jen travels the world to promote her films, but there?s a strong exception ? and that?s going to Japan,? a well-placed source in Jennifer?s camp said. ?She doesn?t allow herself to be contractually required to travel to Japan because of that country?s policies toward fishing and specifically the treatment of dolphins.?
Aniston?s fans are largely unaware of how important animal rights issues are to the former Friends star. After seeing the 2009 documentary The Cove, which exposed cruel dolphin hunting practices in Japan, Aniston financially supported the foundation behind it, says the source, and even appeared in a dolphin-friendly PSA.
Says the source, ?She has vowed not to go to Japan until the country?s policies change.?
Meanwhile, Aniston?s longtime rival Angelina Jolie and ex-husband, Brad Pitt have no such qualms about travel to the Land of the Rising Sun.
?Of course Angelina likes animals, but she also loves the people of Asia,? a source explains. ?After all, two of her adopted children are from the region. She is constantly traveling to Japan on vacation or to promote her movies.?

Compassionate, animal-loving Jennifer takes the moral high ground while money-grubbing Angelina hates dolphins so much that she promotes her films in Japan all the time! Uncool Bermuda Triangle 4 Eva. Seriously, though, I think it?s interesting that Jennifer feels so strongly about this issue, just because I didn’t know she cared. The dolphin situation is horrible and I think when many people hear about how awful it is in Japan with the dolphin hunts, they become outraged and disgusted. Aniston also took part in a PSA.
Update: Aniston’s rep has denied that she will not travel to Japan to promote her films. He called this story a “complete fabrication.”

His debut as the ?Tonight Show? went off with a hitch and brought in great ratings, but a fan-favorite moment from Jimmy Fallon's premiere was definitely his dance with Will Smith.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Fallon brought on a plethora of famous faces including Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker and Stephen Colbert for his first night in the new hosting seat.
A moment that stands out in time is his Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing with Smith. The ?Fresh Prince? star ran onto the stage to meet Fallon in denim overalls and 80s-inspired tees and showed off moves including "The Cabbage Patch" and ?The Running Man.?
"You know, I was watching all of the people who came to support you tonight," Smith told Fallon. "People are coming for you. The Tonight Show is big and it's historic, but people are coming for your heart. You art is a gift to people to help their lives be better and brighter."

Clearly thrilled to celebrate her birthday bash, Paris Hilton got all gussied up in a bright Pink Alon Livne dress for the Hollywood celebration last weekend.
The former reality star turned 33 years old and while posing on the red carpet, Parish showed off a bit more skin then she may have bargained for.
"This was one of the couture gowns [from the runway show], and I said, 'I have to wear that for my birthday it's like the perfect Barbie princess dress,'" Hilton told Us Weekly during the bash.
But soon after photos hit the web, Paris realized that she had a few ?whoops? moments. Responding to the critics, the blondie took to her social media account and wrote, "Yes! I know! My dress has a very high cut slit! And that's because it's a dress straight off the runway!" she wrote on one image.
Paris continued, "Yes, my dress was a lil revealing. But it's my birthday & it's a dress straight off the runway. I don't care what haters say, I think it's stunning! #BirthdayBarbie."

Taking full advantage of their Australian surroundings, Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb indulged in some retail therapy on Tuesday (February 18) in Sydney.
The curvaceous Colombian actress and her handsome fianc took a ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly where they strolled the beach, hit up some local shops and had lunch at Hugos.
Sofia is in the Land Down Under to film a vacation episode for her hit ABC comedy ?Modern Family,? and things are going well so far.
Ms. Vergara arrived in Sydney earlier in the day along with cast mates Ed O?Neill, Sarah Hyland, Rico Rodriguez and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Emma Watson covers & guest-edits the February/March issue of Wonderland. While I?m not crazy about the editorial overall, I do like the cover and I do like that Emma is changing it up with her editorials. Her long hair looks great too. She looks very ?English rose? in the cover shot. Anyway, I keep forgetting that Emma had a role in that epic Noah film, which hasn?t come out yet. Noah was directed by Darren Aronofsky, and stars Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. The film?s production was reportedly something of a disaster ? a bloated budget, lots of delays and weather issues and no one is convinced that the film will end up being worth all of the problems. In her Wonderland interview, Emma complains about Aronofsky and the situation with water on set:
Harry Potter star Emma Watson fell ill on the set of Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic Noah after the director refused to allow bottled water on set, it has been revealed.
Watson, who plays Noah’s adopted daughter Ila in the big budget fantasy, said the Black Swan director banned plastic bottles in an effort to echo the film’s environmental concerns. But with some shoots taking place from 4am, the actor often found herself “tired and delirious” on set and in need of rehydration. On one occasion Watson was so thirsty that she accidentally drank a mug of stagnant water.
“Because of the storm, Douglas [Booth] and I ended up shooting most of our scenes between 4am and 7am – and at that time I never function well,” Watson told Wonderland magazine. “Because the film has a pro-environment message, Darren didn’t want anyone drinking from plastic water bottles on set either. So that made things slightly harder.
“Everything we used had to be recycled or recyclable. Having no water bottles on set at five in the morning, when you’re exhausted and delirious, wasn’t ideal. I was so tired one morning I picked up a mug from my trailer and drank some stagnant water that had been there for the duration ? so three months. I was so ill.”
The actor was then shocked when the Black Swan film-maker told her to “use” her illness in a scene. “I came in the next day and was like: ‘Darren, I don’t think I can do this, I’m really sick,’” she said. “He was like: ‘Use it for the scene.’ And I turned round to the bus and was like: ‘Is he joking? He is joking right?’ and there was deadly silence.”
Watson pointed out that even veteran British hard-man actor Ray Winstone, who plays Noah’s nemesis Tubal-Cain, struggled with the filming conditions. “We started filming in the summer in New York. It was so hot that Ray Winstone at one point, who wore a beard and heavy make-up, nearly fell down a flight of stairs,” she said. “His make-up was literally melting off his face.”
Watson’s revelations are just the latest controversies to hit Noah. The $130m film has been plagued by reports that executives at studio Paramount cut up to six alternative versions following negative reactions from test screenings for US religious audiences. Aronofsky said last week that he had won a torrid battle to ensure his own cut is one filmgoers will see in cinemas.

I use a plastic water bottle nearly every day. But here?s the thing ? I just use one and refill constantly with filtered water, for weeks at a time. I have questions as to why ? if Aronofsky really did ban plastic water bottles on-set ? why wasn?t there a water filter in every trailer? And why was one glass of water just sitting in Emma?s trailer for three months with no one throwing it out or cleaning the glass or something? Now, all of that being said, I?ve heard that Aronofsky can be a major task-master and some actors really don?t like his directing style at all. Taking their hit show on the road, the stars of ?Modern Family? flew in to Sydney International Airport in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday (February 18).
Joined by her fianc Nick Loeb, Sofia Vergara was in good spirits as she greeted the fans that gathered to welcome her while Sarah Hyland (with boyfriend Matt Prokop), Ed O?Neill, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson all looked to be enjoying the local sights.
Co-creator/producer Steven Levitan, who will direct the vacation episode, explained that they?ll definitely hit up tourist destinations like the Great Barrier Reef.
?We just had to go to Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef since, like Sofia Vergara, it's one of the natural wonders of the world.?
And Queensland Arts Minister Ian Walker couldn?t be happier to have the whole gang in his neighborhood. ?Modern Family is a hugely popular show and it?s very exciting for our tourism industry to know that places like the Great Barrier Reef and Hayman Island will be seen by millions of people right round the world.?

Over the weekend, Selena spent some time with Niall Horan from One Direction and an insider told HollywoodLife it was all to make her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber jealous.

Elizabeth did a little interview with Cosmo, and she discussed some of her upcoming projects like Pitch Perfect 2 and Mockingjay. In the process, she talked about Jennifer Lawrence’s love of food. Liz pretty much says JLaw demolished the on-set birthday cake for Elizabeth’s birthday. As in Jennifer grabbed the first piece. Is that offensive? I don’t think it’s as bad as ruining one’s costumes with Doritos dust. It’s not like Elizabeth didn’t get a piece of her own cake, and she wasn’t complaining about JLaw. She just thought it was funny that JLaw was living up to her food-loving reputation. You be the judge:
On Pitch Perfect 2: “I was an on-set producer in the first film, and I was involved since inception and this time around I’ll be taking on a lot more responsibility of getting behind the camera. I?m really excited to get back with the girls and put out a movie that has as much joyfulness and laughter and humor and great music as the first film!!”
On finishing up the Hunger Games movies: “Honestly, I can’t say anything about Mockingjay! Ahhh!! We’ll both end up hurt somewhere! I think the hardcore fans can expect exactly what both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire delivered, Mockingjay is going to be as faithful a rendition of Suzanne’s Collins’ world and books and characters as we can put out!”
Working with the cast: “Well, recently everyone surprised me on the set of Mockingjay with a birthday cake! That was really fun. And, of course, the first person to delve into my cake was Jennifer. I will say she’s a girl who likes to eat and I love that about her.”
On working with Philip Seymour Hoffman: “I’d really rather not discuss it. He was an incredible actor that I respected greatly and I will miss tremendously.”
Beauty advice for travellers: “You know it?s all about hydration, especially in the winter!!! I’m all about water water water water water. I really find that when I get on an airplane, I never drink anything but water and I drink a ton of it. I like to sit in the window, but I’m always climbing over people to go to the bathroom. I?m that seatmate. But ya gotta do it. All about the water.”

I don’t know. Should Jennifer have let Elizabeth take a bite of her cake first? Probably. We don’t know how this went down though. Maybe Liz was like, “Go ahead!” You never know. I’m sure Liam Hemsworth was the last one to take a piece. He seems so boring, like he doesn’t get excited about cake.
I do like Elizabeth’s “water water water” advice. I don’t travel nearly as often as Elizabeth does (obvs), but I’m a water junkie too. I also like to add Nuun tablets to water for an electrolyte boost (without the sugar of Gatorade). Electrolytes are where it’s at, man. Buy that crap in bulk.
Beyond talk of JLaw’s food obsession, I definitely noticed her absence at the BAFTAs. Jennifer won Best Supporting Actress. David O. Russell accepted the award for her. I had a hunch JLaw wouldn’t show up to this ceremony — she’s really shying away from non-mandatory events. She skipped Critics Choice, Writers Guild, and Producers Guild awards. She uses Mockingjay as an official excuse, but I have a hard time believing how Lionsgate wouldn’t let her fly to London for a day. With the time difference, she could have been back by Monday. Here’s why JLaw didn’t go to the BAFTAs: She knows that some people are sick of her. She is trying to be seen as little as possible. Girlfriend does NOT want to win the Oscar this year. She’s no idiot. Look at what the internet did to Anne Hathaway.

Here are some photos of Kim out and about in NYC two nights ago, allegedly having a ?girls night? with her sisters at 1Oak. Kim thoughtfully posted photos of herself and the designer IDs for her ensemble. The jacket is Tom Ford, the cleavagey top is Stella McCartey, the skirt is Lanvin, the tights are Kardashian Kollection and the heels are Tom Ford. Thoughts on the ensemble? I don?t hate, surprisingly enough. To me, this is more of a ?date night? outfit than a ?girls night? outfit though. Right? Girls night ? when you?re not actively looking for a hookup ? is a time for comfortable jeans and a shirt that can withstand salsa stains. But not in Kardashian World. My biggest peeve is open-toe shoes with tights/pantyhose though.
By the way, on Sunday night?s very special episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, it turns out that the reality show cameras were there to capture every moment of Kanye?s elaborate proposal. You can see the video here at Jezebel. Is it wrong that I was oddly moved by it? Don?t get me wrong, I?m not like in love with Kimye or anything, but Kanye really did go all out to propose to Kim and he was super-happy when she said yes. It was kind of? sweet? Yes, I said that.
Of course Kim had to destroy the sweetness by Instagramming a closeup of her engagement ring with the hashtag #DreamsDoComeTrue. Yeezus, that?s a huge ring.

I may live to regret this Julianne Hough post because god knows she’s not much of a conversation starter. Her new pixie haircut drew some attention but not in a juicy gossip sense. People paid attention to Julianne when she broke up with Ryan Seacrest and did blackface last Halloween, but she’s usually the type to fly under the radar. She’s done so for the past several months in fact.
Until now. These photos show Julianne with her new man, NHL player Brooks Laich, on Sunday and Monday when they made happy-couple outings to Whole Foods and Bristol Farms. Us Weekly has photos of Julianne and Brooks at Disneyland on Saturday. That’s three days in a row of photo ops. This may not be a sudden romance, but the rollout sure is coming fast and furious. Julianne Hough has a new beau to go with her new ‘do! The Rock of Ages actress, 25 — who debuted a new pixie cut earlier this month — is dating hocker player Brooks Laich of the Washington Capitals, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The couple stepped out together on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., where they were spotted holding hands and sharing a kiss, an onlooker tells Us. They also took a hike with her two dogs on Sunday, Feb. 16, in Studio City, Calif.
The two were set up by a mutual friend, one insider tells Us. “It works out well,” the source says, noting that Hough is into sports. “They’re having fun.” Adds another insider: “She’s happier than ever.”
The former Dancing With the Stars pro has not been linked seriously with anyone since her split from Ryan Seacrest in March 2013. I’ve always had a soft spot for ol’ Posh, who has often described herself as looking like a “miserable cow.” She just doesn’t like to smile. She does possess a wicked sense of humor, which I do appreciate. In this cover interview, she surprises me by claiming to be an avid fitness enthusiast. She’s always been very disciplined with her diet, but Posh says she gets up at 6am every day to run four miles, which is interesting. I probably should leave that factoid as is because people tend to get judgy about runners. Let’s talk about laser hair removal instead, shall we? It sounds both painful and expensive, but Victoria loves it:
She’s lasered all of her leg hair away: “[It] is amazing. You can go back for little touch-ups if you do see little hairs appearing. But I’ve been very lucky that I haven’t had to. That was one of the best tips that Eva Longoria ever gave me.”
On fame: “The whole paparazzi thing — I feel very uncomfortable. And the older I get, I feel more and more uncomfortable. I like to take my kids to school, go to work. I don’t want to be leading a public life. I accept that fame isn’t a coat that you can put on and take off whenever you choose, so I would never complain about it. But myself and David like to go to restaurants that are somewhat private, where there’s a little back door that we can easily get in and out of.”
On her stint in the US:“Living in America for six years was the happiest I think I’ve ever been. It was much more accepting for a woman to have a career, as well as a man. And I loved it. I’m not saying I’m not happy now. I’m just as happy now!”
On success: “I got there in the end because I did believe that if you work hard enough, then you can achieve a lot. I think what gave me confidence in myself was meeting the other [Spice Girls]. We always said we were all like rejects in our own way. We had to work hard, and they helped me accept me for who I was.”
Mr. Goldenballs is the best: “[David Beckham] is the most wonderful man I have ever met. He’s a fantastic father. He’s incredibly talented, a wonderful husband. I supported him for many years, and he’s proud of me. He supports me. We’re very equal at home.”

I find it incredibly endearing that David supports Victoria’s designing career and shows up for all of her major fashion shows. She spent years and years playing the perfect WAG to support his soccer career, and he seems perfectly comfy turning the tables. They definitely endured a rocky period in their marriage (Rebecca Loos, anyone?), but I think Team Beckham is a solid one now.
Victoria looks smashing in this shoot. Very broody and mysterious. I won’t ask her to smile.

I didn?t stay up for Jimmy Fallon?s debut on the Tonight Show. Unless it?s a weekend, I?m pretty much in bed by 10 pm (or 11 if something good is on, like Elementary). But I saw some coverage this morning, and it seems like the ?establishment? is very happy with Fallon?s debut but the kidz on Twitter kind of hate it already. Who knows if the kidz only hate Fallon ironically though? Could be. Jimmy started out with a heartfelt opening monologue:
I think this was my favorite bit ? Fallon says his ?buddy? owes him $100 because they said he?d never be the host of The Tonight Show, and then a steady line of celebrities streams out to give Jimmy $100 bills. Included in the bit: Tina Fey, Joe Namath, Robert DeNiro, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Tracy Morgan, Kim Kardashian, Joan Rivers, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mike Tyson and, of course, Stephen Colbert.
Jimmy?s guests were Will Smith and U2, who also performed on the roof of 30 Rock. The Will Smith interview was sweet, but I liked that Jimmy still did some of his old Late Night bits too. He got Will into some overalls for ?The Evolution of Hip-Hop Dance?.
All in all, I think Jimmy is going to do a great job. He?ll be more conservative than people expect, but he?ll also skew younger than the NBC brass expects. I also think Fallon made a great choice in bringing the show back to NYC.

Braving the chilly NYC air, Amber Heard stopped by the "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday (February 17).
The "Rum Diary" star looked chic in a knee-length black dress, matching overcoat, and pointy heels as she posed for pics before heading inside to chat with Dave.
Earlier in the day, the 27-year-old actress headed to "Live with Kelly and Michael" to promote her new movie, "3 Days to Kill."
For the appearance, Amber went without her engagement ring from Johnny Depp and declined to discuss her relationship with the star.

In the upcoming thriller, a Foreign Service Officer in London tries to prevent a terrorist attack set in New York, but is forced to go on the run after she is framed for crimes she didn't commit.
Joining Milla in the star-studded cast are Emma Thompson, Pierce Brosnan, Dylan McDermott, and Angela Bassett.
