Walking out together, the “Legally Blonde” babe and her “Brokeback Mountain” beau quickly split up before walking separately to an awaiting car.
Meanwhile, Miss Witherspoon was spotted earlier this week showing signs of bruising around her eye – causing a bit of curiosity as to how the injury occurred.
Since that time, a spokesperson for the 33-year-old actress explained that the black eye came about from an injury received while training for her upcoming yet-to-be-titled softball flick.

Paris Hilton went to court with her lawyers in Miami on Thursday to defend against a lawsuit claiming she failed to adequately promote National Lampoon’s Pledge This! Of course, Paris thinks this is horseshit. She promoted the hell out of it. Every opportunity she got, she would mention how sexy the film was. They’re suing for $8 million from Hilton and her entertainment company.
As long as Paris doesn’t speak, this could go either way. But if she even opens her mouth, it’ll be over. The judge is going to bang his gavel and sentence Paris to nine months in jail for “being so goddamn annoying.”

Lindsay Lohan and her partner Kristi Kaylor are starting their own production company. Because if no one else is going to hire her, she might as well do it herself. They already have two projects in development too.
The duo are developing several projects including a TV show called “Faux Real,” described as “Entourage” for the fashion world.
There’s also a game show involving dating tentatively called “That’s What Friends Are For” and a “docu-cause” TV show the pair will produce in conjunction with a charitable organization.
That’s one way to fight unemployment and poverty. Although, it’ll be sad to see Lindsay slumped over in her chair counting the measly five dollars she made off her failed projects. Maybe she can turn it into pennies so she’ll have more to count.

Emma Watson is all grown up and heading to the states for college. And although she is excited, she hopes that she doesn’t get stuck with a Harry Potter fan.
“As long as there are no Harry Potter posters on the wall, I will be fine and happy. Oh Goad, it’s part luck, isn’t it. We’ll see,” she tells.
Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe joked with his 19-year-old costar, saying, “I really hope they are a really massive Harry Potter fan. I hope you walk in and the first thing you see is your face on a duvet.”
And although it’s something to look forward to, Watson isn’t afraid to say that she will be homesick. She will be attending an Ivy League college in late August to earn a liberal arts degree possibly in English literature or Art.
“I will miss marmite, baked beans, London taxis and the rain!” Watson explained. “I may have to bring boxes full of marmite and baked beans with me.”
Besides not wanting a diehard fan, Watson says she would love a polite and tidy roommate. “Cleanliness is good. Hopefully I’m reasonably okay to live with.”
When it comes to acting, however, the Hermione Granger actress wants to remain a good student but keep to her acting grounds.
“I definitely want to continue. I’ve managed to juggle and balance studying and working well enough to this point so I can’t see why I can’t keep doing that,” she said. “But I am looking forward to being a normal teenager and want a normal experience for a bit. Just a little bit of normality for a while would be nice.”
And like she said, being normal is important, which means living in the dorm. “If I’m going to do this experience, I’m going to do it properly and going to do it like everyone else,” she said.

Many of the tabloids have been theorizing about Brad and Angelina?s summer plans for months - now that we?re entering mid-July, you?d think they?d give up the ?Oh my God, what are they going to do for the summer?? stories, but whatever. At first it looked like Brad was going to be filming Moneyball all summer in LA, where Angelina and the kids may or may not join him (some reports had her leaving in a huff for France). Then Moneyball fell through, and it looked like Brad would spend his summer passed out in Maddox?s pillow fort.
But alas! It was just announced yesterday that the studio is scrambling with an Aaron Sorkin rewrite for Moneyball, and Brad could be getting back to work very quickly. Before that news came out, however, both Star and In Touch had some old-school theorizin’ to do about what Star calls Brangelina?s ?Last Chance Summer?. What?s funny is that ?friends? of the couples are quoted in both articles, but the stories are totally different. First, here?s In Touch?s version:
Angelina Jolie has come up with a bold - if risky - solution [to save her troubled relationship with Brad Pitt]: living apart. After the pair celebrate the first birthday of their twins in France on July 12, Angelina will stay there with their six children - while Brad returns to LA.
?She thinks it will be the only way to keep Brad in her life for the long term,? explains a friend. ?She?s hoping that spending some time apart will make them remember what it is they love about each other.?
?One issue that came up was that, before Brad went out to LA, they were spending too much time together.?
?Brad was frank with Angelina,? the friend says. ?He told her that her jealousy and clinginess was driving him away, and that he needs his space.?
No longer exhausted from work, Angelina listened, telling Brad that ?she doesn?t want to lose him, and the idea of their children not having a father scares her.?

Oh no! Unfortunately for Star and In Touch, it looks like Angelina is quite happy to spend her summer in LA. Multiple sources have Angelina signing Zahara and Shiloh up for ten weeks of dance classes in Los Angeles. According to the woman running the dance studio, the classes are ?princess-themed ballet classes? that incorporate stuff from Cinderella and other Disney-princess movies. (Psst? why isn?t Suri Cruise involved with these classes?)
According to this studio owner, ?Zahara and Shiloh were so cute — they were holding hands and sitting side-by-side. Zahara was a little more coordinated, and she was trying to help Shiloh. She was taking on the big-sister role.? The photos of Shilooh, Zahara and Angelina exiting the studio after the girls? first dance class are really cute - Shiloh dresses like a ninja ballerina! It seems like Angelina is pretty content to take her summer off in Los Angeles and happily be a stay-at-home mom. And a part-time recreational pilot, because she was spotted yesterday flying her Cirrus SR22 at Bob Hope Airport in LA. Get her, she?s trying to get away!

I would call Paris Hilton a lot of things. “Slut Machine”, “STD Distribution Machine”, “Useless Twat Machine” perhaps, but not “Promotion Machine”, which is what her lawyer is calling her. Digital Spy explains,
Paris Hilton’s lawyer has branded her a “promotion machine” following allegations that she failed to publicise her 2006 movie Pledge This!, reports BBC.
The socialite has been sued for $8.3 million by the Worldwide Entertainment Group, which has alleged that she refused to promote the DVD release of the 2006 sorority comedy.
Speaking in a Miami court yesterday, attorney Michael Weinstein said: “[She] was a promotion machine. For two-and-a-half years she relentlessly promoted that movie.”
The WEG has suggested that Hilton’s alleged refusal to promote the project was directly responsible for its failure. She was paid $1 million to star in the picture, but it only grossed around $2.9 million worldwide.
A lawyer for the company said: “At no time would she take ten minutes to do a phone interview… It might have made a difference. It would have done better.”
Weinstein told the court that Hilton had been unhappy with the final edit of the movie but insisted that she had not refused to promote it, although he admitted that her busy schedule meant she could not accomodate all the producers’ requests.
Let’s take a quick vote. Anyone ever heard of this movie? Raise your hands. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Okay, no. I hereby declare the defendant guilty on all charges, and whatever else I feel like bringing against her. She shall immediately be removed and airdropped into Al-Qaeda territory. Case dismissed!

Hot on the heels of Paula Abdul's statement that she'll be back for more "American Idol" next season, it looks like host Ryan Seacrest is only steps away from signing his contract extension, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
According to the report, he is currently in talks with "Idol" co-producer 19 Entertainment to extend his contract for three more years and get a significant pay raise that would make him one of the highest-paid reality-TV hosts.
This past season, Seacrest made a little under $5 million, or about $100,000 per episode. Seacrest is also reportedly trying to expand his relationship with 19 Entertainment to develop a new series with "Idol" creator Simon Fuller.
Seacrest reportedly met with people at 19 in the U.K. last month to discuss the deal. Although there have been no confirmations yet, THR says an announcement is expected on Monday.
All four "Idol" judges, including Simon Cowell, are currently in the process of negotiating new contracts, though the season's auditions have already begun. But in May, Cowell seemed certain that everyone would be back on the show.
"Everyone's going to be back. Absolutely," Cowell said. "It's been honestly the best eight, nine years of my life. But I just believe sometimes everything has to come to an end."

A very pregnant Heidi Klum stepped out of her hotel in New York City looking comfortable in a long striped dress and cardigan while carrying some clothing on Friday (July 10).
And speaking of clothing, the supermodel has a lot to look forward to for season 6 of Project Runway.
The show will air next month with a full cast of 16 contestants. The wait was long due to problems when the show tried to move from Bravo to Lifetime, which was finally settled in April.
The high-energy group of fashionistas is mostly from NYC, while Nicolas Putvinski, Gordana Gehlhausen and Irina Shabeyeva all come from out of the country.
Putvinski is from Moscow and has even had his designs commissioned by W and Vogue, yet Gunn isn’t ready to praise him after the remarks he has made about the state of fashion in the States.
“If you have such a bad taste in your mouth about American fashion, why are you here?” Gunn said.
However, Gunn enjoyed Shabeyeva’s view on proportion and fit from Republic of Georgia.
Gunn had nicer things to say about Shabeyeva, who is from the Republic of Georgia, telling that he admires her sense of proportion and fit.
“Her models look as if they’ve been in for a dozen fittings,” he said, “and they haven’t.”
Another contestant is New Yorker Carol Hannah Whitfield.
“She’s young, just out of design school,” Gunn said, but “people will be disarmed by what they see her achieve.”
When it comes to the west side, Johnny Sakalis graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, where the new seasonwas taped.
Gunn calls Sakalis a “polarizing character,” saying “people will love him, or hate him.”
Mitchel Hall from Georgia has lots of experience after being a creative director at a Vera Wang bridal salon.
“Mitchell looks like he just stepped out of Gossip Girl and I think that’s who he’d like to design for,” Gunn said.
And for the first time ever, Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan will be doing cameo appearances during the challenges.
The host and judges remain the same with Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.
“The girls are very strong on season six. There’s a lot of crying, there’s fighting going on, there’s a lot of drama going on - but especially with the girls.”
The show will air August 20.

Enjoying a romantic honeymoon in St. Lucia, Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett were spotted showing each other some love on the beach yesterday (July 9).
The Playboy Playmate and her NFL stud hubby looked playful as they splashed in the water, with Hank giving Kendra a ‘good game’ pat on the rear at one point.
As for their soon-to-be-born child, Kendra and Hank both told FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay that they plan on having a strict Christian household.
Wilkinson explained, “Our child will definitely be Christian,” with Hank adding that they plan on spoiling the little one.
Baskett clarified, “But they are going to have to earn it, we’re not just going to hand it to them. Most importantly, they have to keep good grades because school comes first and then everything else after that. Being a father is something I’ve always wanted and something Kendra and I have talked about from the time we met, we’re just truly excited and truly blessed to be becoming parents very soon. We pretty much fell in love right away and when you ask someone to marry you that means you really want them to be the woman in charge of your family, the person to be your teammate in raising the child.”

I?m not sure what I think of this - Cynthia and SJP have always seemed very close, and I believe SJP has always been pretty active in the gay rights movement. It seems a no-brainer that Sarah Jessica would already be there to support her friend. It seems like the Enquirer might be making a mountain out of a molehill - or could there be more to this? ?Tacky? is the right word. One of my worries for/about Nicole has always been that Joel isn?t in this for the long haul, and that she would get her heart broken. Hopefully, if any of this ?eyewitness? account is true, Nicole gave Joel an ultimatum - straighten out or I?m out. But something tells me Nicole isn?t one for ultimatums.

Looks like we won’t have to be looking for any baby bumps soon – as Ryan Reynolds and wife, Scarlett Johansson, are planning to adopt.
“My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time,” Reynolds, 32, tells Britain’s Glamour magazine. “I’m very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn’t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it.”
The couple married at an intimate ceremony at a Canadian wilderness retreat last year.
Reynolds grew up in Vancouver, Canada. “I learned how to take a punch from a very early age.”
The “Proposal” star says, “I have my father’s face and body, but my mother’s unshakeable thirst for knowledge. She works part-time jobs, but basically she’s been a student her whole life. She still goes to university and she’s in her 60s.”

She began her court case over her 2006 film “Pledge This!” in Miami, Florida yesterday, and today (July 10) Paris Hilton arrived ready to take the stand in her own defense.
The “Simple Life” hottie looked cute and conservative in a casual black summer dress teamed with a pair of black heels and a black headband.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs are a group of movie investors who claim Hilton didn’t do enough to promote the film, resulting in a mere $2.9 million of revenue for the $7.5 million movie.
However, Paris will testify later today that she plugged the movie extensively and did everything she could to meet the contract’s requirements. She is being sued for $8 million.

Everyone was in shock last month when Sony Pictures decided to end the $50 million movie starring Brad Pitt, “Moneyball”.
It was pulled just days before the scheduled shooting, but now the movie may be back on.
Writer and creator Aaron Sorkin will be doing a quick re-write of the script, as Sony believed it was too arty and documentary.
Sony also is hoping to add Oscar-winning producer Scott Rudin to the team to try and polish up the movie. The script was originally by Ocean’s series director Steven Soderbergh and screen writer Steven Zaillian.
The movie was based on Michael Lewis’s nonfiction book of the Oakland Athletics and their general manager Billy Beane, who put together a star Major League team, even with no money in the bank.

Pretty much as soon as Jennifer Garner gave birth to daughter Seraphina in January, rumors began swirling that Ben Affleck was desperate for a son, and that he was suffering ?estrogen overload? with his wife, two daughters, and a mother-in-law who was/is maybe living with the family. The tabloids dropped the story pretty quickly, but now they?re bringing it back. I suppose it?s because Seraphina is six months old now, and all of those In Touch Weekly readers just want Jennifer Garner continuously knocked up so that she can populate the world with adorable dimpled babies.
Now the tabloids are reporting that Jennifer is totally on board with ?trying for the boy?. It seems she?s consulting fertility doctors to see how she can guarantee Ben his male heir. I have two points about this. This is probably just general crap In Touch made up to go along with some new pictures of a not-quite-super thin-yet Jennifer Garner (who is still carrying around a tiny bit of post-pregnancy weight, but she looks lovely and healthy, and not pregnant).
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck?s youngest child Seraphina is only 6 months old, but the happy parents are ready to add to the family again - and this time, they want to give Violet, 3, and Seraphina a brother.
?Their daughter weren?t planned pregnancies - they just happened naturally,? a friend explains.
