And given the tragic end of ?Nashville? Season 1, Panettiere noted that her character Juliette Barnes will be starting from scratch this fall.
?With a character like that who has come full circle, there are things about her and things that she?s pulled that get exhausting to watch after a while and that I would never want her to go there again. Characters need to evolve. Expectations lead to disappointment, so I am eagerly waiting to find out what I?m gonna get to do. I put my trust in them last season and I think they did an amazing job, so I?m gonna do that again this season.?

They?ve been together for awhile now, and Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton may be looking to take their relationship to the next level.
According to a report, the Formula One race car driver hinted that he?ll be popping the question in the coming months, though he wouldn?t get specific.
Hamilton explained, ?We?ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully [we?ll get engaged] in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.?
Previously, Nicole gushed about her man, "I guess I look for an alpha male because I vibrate at a certain level. And I like someone who has ambitions like me. And that's Lewis."

TheAnnie remake, starring Quvenzhane Wallis (try saying that 10 times fast) as Annie, Jamie Foxx as Daddy Warbucks and produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z, has found its Miss Hannigan in Cameron Diaz. Hannigan is the mean lady who runs the orphanage.
A perfect choice for a role that calls for someone “scary” and “witch-like.” Actually, I don’t know if that’s what it said on the casting sheet. But if it did, Cameron Diaz has got those qualities.

Thoughts? Well, it’s pretty meh. Kind of like something you’d play as an interlude. It could be described as the perfect music to play at parties for people to talk over.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have been in London this week, and they?ve gone to two big events in the past two nights. First they went to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory press night/premiere event on Tuesday, and then last night they went to the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party held at Kensington Gardens. James Wilkie joined them on Tuesday night. I don?t know where their daughters are ? too young for a red carpet, I suppose, although those girls get pap?d constantly in NYC, which is where the family lives.
A lot has been said about Matthew and SJP?s marriage and whether they have a traditional, monogamous relationship or whether something shady is going on between them. I still have no idea. Several years ago, there were lots of rumors about Matthew and his wandering eye, but maybe we?re supposed to believe that they weathered that storm together. I think it?s far more likely that SJP is a ride-or- die wife ? she believes in marriage and HER marriage specifically and she?s never going to leave him no matter what he does.
As for the fashion? ugh. These are not SJP?s best looks at all. The shiny, striped dress with sleeves is Marc Jacobs. I like the fit on the dress a lot, but the stripes are gross and that weird button detail at the bust is AWFUL. The sparkly cream dress with the fringe and tiers is Naeem Khan. I thought it was Marchesa at first, but if Georgina Chapman had designed this, she would have added MORE fringe and more illusion netting and sparkles.
PS? James Wilkie is adorable. He looks more like Sarah Jessica, right?

Kate Upton covers the July issue of Vogue Brazil, and she looks marvelous if slightly uneventful. What do you think of the cover? Kate herself has tweeted that it was her “favorite job,” which I suppose means that this job was way better than her recent experience of frolicking topless on a horse while creepy perverts snuck iPhone footage.
As far as a cover goes, this one is rather restrained by Upton standards (the cleavage is obviously there, but the girls are not thrust out front and center), and Kate looks quite beautiful with slicked back hair and smokey eyes. She’s also working the hell out of that outfit. This only adds to her Vogue portfolio since she’s already conquered the Italian, United Kingdom, and stateside varieties of the magazine.
You may have also heard that Kate is also trying her hand at acting. Here she is on the set of The Other Woman with Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz. I love Kate, but I don’t expect her movie career to go any further than that of, say, Brooklyn Decker. Cameron is always so classy, ain’t she? Nice finger.

She?s never one to back down from a challenge, and Cameron Diaz just signed on to star in the forthcoming remake of ?Annie.?
The ?Sweetest Thing? actress will play the iconic role of Miss Hannigan, a part previously manned by Carol Burnett in the 1982 flick and Jane Lynch in the stage revival.
Cameron?s addition to the cast comes just after Sandra Bullock ended her ?early talks? to take the gig, and it seems that Diaz will be the perfect fit.
Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx has already hopped on board to play Daddy Warbucks, and Quvenzhane Wallis replaced Willow Smith in the titular role of Annie.

Ever since Courteney Cox and David Arquette split up in 2010, I?ve pretty much thought the ?reason? CC wanted the divorce was because she already had something with a jumpoff, her Cougar Town costar Brian Van Holt. There were some sketchy photos of Courteney and Brian together before CC and David ever formally ended their marriage (although CC later claimed that they were separated). And soon after David and CC really did publicly split, CC cozied up to Van Holt in a big way, although most of that was in 2010-2011. I kind of thought the relationship fizzled out and since she never confirmed anything, there was no need to confirm the split.
But a weird thing happened. CC?s public line has been that she?s been ?celibate? since her divorce and she has ?not had a man since David ? No guy has asked me out? Right now, I?m not quite ready to date. I?m getting closer ? as things become more final in my life with David.? She said that in February of last year. Which makes this Us Weekly story simply bizarre:
Courteney Cox has turned her onscreen ex into an offscreen love. The actress, 49, is officially dating her Cougar Town costar Brian Van Holt, who plays her ex-husband on the TBS series, the new issue of Us Weekly reveals.
“They’ve been going out for about six months,” one insider tells Us of the couple, who have been linked off and on since Cox split from actor David Arquette in 2010. (Arquette once told Howard Stern that his ex and Van Holt were having “an emotional affair.”)
The source adds that Cox is more comfortable taking her relationship with Van Holt out in the open now that Arquette has moved on with girlfriend Christina McLarty. Proof? On July 10, the costars “acted like boyfriend and girlfriend” during dinner at West Hollywood’s Chi Lin, a witness tells Us.
Van Holt is also tight with Cox’s pals and, more importantly, with her daughter. “The girl was extremely comfortable with Brian,” an onlooker says of Coco, 9, who visited the Cougar Town set last fall. “She treated him like a dad or an uncle.”

Van Holt has been close to CoCo for years now ? Brian, Courteney and CoCo vacationed together the first Christmas after she filed for divorce. So, I don?t really buy that they?ve been going out ?for about six months?. I think ? realistically ? they?ve been off-and-on for the better part of three years. And I don?t really understand why CC is creating this unnecessary drama either. It?s not like anyone really cares that much about her love life at this point. She?s not Jennifer Aniston, you know? Speaking of, I don?t think they?re friends anymore. Well, they?re not BFFs anymore. Chelsea Handler usurped CC. That’s the real story!

Well, well, well. I really have to hand it to Ryan Seacrest. Dude is a smooth operator, and I completely confess that I really thought Julianne Hough would couple up much faster than Ryan following their recent dissolution of contract breakup after over two years together in March of this year. If Dom’s name rings a bell, that’s because she’s the most recent ex-girlfriend of Chris Pine, with whom she was first sighted last July before they eventually parted ways in April of this year. When we first discussed Dominique in terms of Chris Pine, most of you weren’t crazy about her at all, but I’m interested to see what you think of her in light of her new man … Ryan Seacrest. Really?
Ryan Seacrest is ready for love again!
In Touch has learned that the American Idol host, 38, has been quietly seeing Sports Illustrated model Dominique Piek, 27.
“She and Ryan have been out to dinner together twice in one week recently,” a source close to the South African-born model tells In Touch, on newsstands now.
According to the source, Ryan (who split from actress Julianne Hough in March) “gets along really well” with Dominque, also recently single since calling it quits with actor Chris Pine in April.

I didn?t realize that the Gwyneth Paltrow-Mark Ruffalo movie Thanks For Sharing was about sex addiction. I just saw that little blurb before I watched the trailer ? ?Gwyneth is in a movie about sex addiction!? ? and I was incredibly worried that Gwyneth would be playing a sex addict. Thank God, that?s not the case. Mark Ruffalo is playing a sex addict, as is Pink, Josh Gad and Tim Robbins. Goop plays Mark?s new girlfriend who is dealing with the fact that her new, cute boyfriend is an addict. This is like ?what if ?Shame? was a romantic comedy??
Honestly, it looks like a sort of interesting movie. I kind of feel for Mark Ruffalo because this could have been a lighter role for him but he?s capable of bringing pathos to even a rom-com about sex addicts. Gwyneth in lingerie is? um? I mean, her body looks good. But her nasal voice destroys any sexiness she might have. I imagine that Goop and Ruffalo are friends (they did another movie together more than a decade ago), and she?ll probably claim that she only signed on to the movie because Mark ?begged? her or something. Whatever, Goop.
The real surprise is that Pink (Alecia Moore) seems to be doing solid work as an actress. I like that they paired her with Josh Gad, who is an up-and-coming comedic talent. He writes his own stuff too, but I think he?s just quietly gaining a foothold in Hollywood by taking supporting parts and guest roles and he?s usually pretty funny. His guest spot on New Girl last year was amazing! As for Tim Robbins and Joely Richardson? I could care less about that side of the story. Blah.
So, will you see this movie? Or will you just yell ?GET OFF MY BOYFRIEND? at Gwyneth? Because there she is, bold as can be, making out with our boyfriend Mark Ruffalo.

Can I start out this post with a declaration that I’m so excited about the fact that The Lone Ranger is entering its premiere phase? Finally, we’re getting some photos of Johnny looking relatively lovely and groomed while not wearing torn-up hats. Even though the dude is 50 years old, he’s actually starting to look like the old, swoonworthy dreamboat Johnny from the early aughts, but Johnny would probably hate to hear that, so I’ll stop being nice right now. Maybe.
Johnny has been all over the place in the past week. In addition to the official premiere in Los Angeles, Depp also touched down in Lawton, Oklahoma (home of the Comanche tribe) last Friday with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski in tow. Since I’m not the nicest person, I’ve been making jokes about smelling Johnny’s special blend of patchouli and ciggies (downwind) via I-44 for days now. Johnny attended a special screening for the Comanches and took some photos with fans while declaring, “I’m proud to show [this film] to the Comanche Nation and members of the Indian Nations first.” If you’ll recall, Johnny also visited Lawton last October while serving as Grand Marshal of the Comanche nation parade. I have to admit that Johnny seems incredibly sincere in his reasons for accepting the role of Tonto. Dude wanted to right a historical wrong or two, and I’m not sure he succeeds at doing so in this movie, but we’ll see. In that accord, here are some excerpts from Johnny’s new interview with the Daily Mirror:
On turning 50: “We kept it simple and we just went to dinner. I find the whole idea of celebrating one’s birthday is like clinging to vanity in a way, which is something I?d rather not cling to. It?s one of those things. It?s another decade… Cool. I didn?t suddenly wake up and go, ?God my back is killing me!’”
On hiding from the paps: “There?s no disguise I?ve ever been able to get away with, so I have to live my life like a fugitive, like a recluse. But I?m OK with that because I always felt like an outcast. I never felt like I fitted in anywhere.”
His midlife crisis happened at age 19? “I was asking myself, ?What is life? What am I here for? What shall I do? Does anything matter?? I chose to, let?s say, soften the process by self-medication.”
He makes Tonto a hero: “I wouldn’t take anything away from Clayton Moore, who played the Lone Ranger, but even when I was five or six I thought there was something wrong. I identified with Tonto and wondered why the Indian was the sidekick. I thought, ‘Why isn’t he the hero?’ I wanted to play him not as a sidekick, but as a warrior and a man with great dignity and integrity. It’s my small contribution to righting the wrongs committed in the past. It was very important to me to represent the American Indians and it’s really the only reason I made the movie.”
On his honorary Comanche name, Mah-Woo-Meh (shapeshifer): “It was quite apt and I take great pride in that choice. The name hadn’t been used for years and they had to get permission from the elders. I?m very proud of it. It?s possibly my greatest memento from anywhere.”
Where do he and Vanessa stand now? I wouldn’t see any weirdness at all in making a film with Vanessa now, whereas before I might have done. We’re on great terms and there’s nothing weird or strange. It’s very normal. She?s a great mommy and a great woman.”
He still loves Vanessa: “If you love, you have to love beyond what you think is love. When the s*** hits the fan you have to keep loving. I know it sounds like some sort of Hallmark card, and I don?t mean it to, but you cannot abandon ship, you know. You’ve got a couple of kids and a woman who?s been good to you. So keep loving, no matter what.”

It must be noted that the journo makes specific mention that Johnny is guzzing non-alcoholic beer during this interview. While I have already called him out for using his breakup with Vanessa to promote Lone Ranger in his Rolling Stone interview, perhaps I should just give Johnny a break. I admit that I loved him and Vanessa together — not as much as Johnny and Winona or Johnny and Kate Moss, but yes, there’s a little bit of bias on my end. Johnny seems to have come to terms with this most recent breakup, and yeah, he’s probably going through a second “midlife crisis” with Amber Heard, but that relationship has many tests yet to endure.

Miley totally got down by twerking while wearing a fuzzy diaper, and I’m sure that the television audience at home was all like, “Wha…t?” Make no mistake though — while we are all giggling at Miley with her stellar legs and cringeworthy new video for “We Can’t Stop,” Miley is toking the last toke with a new VEVO viewing record. Yes, Miley scored 10.7 million views in 24 hours, which means that she’s surpassed the previous record held by Justin Bieber for 10.6 views for “Beauty and The Beat.”
So what does this mean? Miley is succeeding through her new sexy image. Yes, those of us who have witnessed her crooning “Lilac Wine” or “Jolene” will probably never see the wish of a Miley-recorded country album come to fruition. How did this happen? Well, I’ve been thinking about this (really), and the only explanation I can come with is that Miley signed with Larry Rudolph (Britney Spears’ manager) about three months ago. Rudolph is a freaking PR genius and not only masterminded Britney’s original entrance onto the pop music scene in 1999, but he also engineered her post-KFed comeback in 2008. After months of speculation, Courteney Cox is officially dating Brian Van Holt, according to a report on Wednesday (June 26).
The "Cougar Town" cutie has been with her co-star, who plays her character's ex-husband, for about six months, a show insider told US Weekly.
Though the duo is just now public with their relationship, Cox's ex-hubby David Arquette once said that Courteney was having an emotional affair with Van Holt.
Meanwhile, all new episodes of the couple's hit "Cougar Town" will arrive back on TBS early next year.

Taking care of some promotional duties, Kelly Brook showed up for the Vita Liberata Liberation Day launch on Wednesday (June 26) in London.
The "Piranha" actress looked lovely in a short, orange-and-black dress as she posed for the media in front of the Sanctum Soho Hotel.
Ms. Brook has joined with the tanning brand to challenge women to think about what they would do if they were given twenty-four hours free from worries and responsibilities.
One lucky winner will receive the day they wrote about in their entry essay, and one person a month will win a spa day.
On her partnership with the project, Kelly told reporters, ?I am so excited to be part of the Liberation Day campaign; it is a great initiative that allows women to really think about what liberates them outside of their day-to-day lives.?

As previously reported by GossipCenter, the Academy Award-winning actress got the chance to pull double duty in an upcoming project.
Anne will serve as both the producer and star in "The Lifeboat," an adaptation of the novel by Charlotte Rogan about a young newlywed and widow who survives the sinking of the Empress and ends up in an overcrowded lifeboat.
