Late last month, Mariah Carey took to her Twitter account account to tell the world that her next album will be called Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and early Tuesday (June 9), she did so again to talk about the album's first single.
"The 1st single from my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is called 'Obsessed' and will be at radio next Tuesday," she Tweeted. "I'm a lil' exc [post cuts off before she continues in another post]. "Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I love the whole album. I'm completely immersed in it. I can't wait for you to hear it."
Last month, Carey Tweeted, "Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. It's very personal & dedicated to u."
Details about the album have been scarce, but back in January, songwriter/ producer/ artist The-Dream told KIIS-FM about some tracks he'd begun working on with the singer the week before. The-Dream and his frequent collaborator Tricky Stewart produced the hit "Touch My Body" from Mariah's last album, E=MC2.
"I'm trying to do the whole [album]," The-Dream told the station's DJ Skee.
"I love her, she's everything," he said of Carey. "She's down, she's cool, she gets it. You think she's this big, but she gets it. She's all the way in there. I told her we need to get back in there. It's not like it used to be where you can wait to come out with an album. I'm like, 'Let's go, let's do it!' And she's up for it."
The-Dream said he wouldn't want to take Mariah too far from the style that's brought her so much success in the past.
"It's like we're trying to make a greatest hits without using the greatest hits," he said. He added that he thought the album would be called MC3, but apparently that plan has changed.
Carey has said in the past how much she enjoys collaborating with other songwriters like The-Dream.
"Sometimes it's perhaps a co-writer, which you can definitely feed off that other person's energy or where they're coming from, and go back and forth with different ideas," Carey said in a statement. "That's a process that really inspires me and that I really love."

Well, that’s pretty lame and boring, but there’s apparently more to the story. Supposedly, it was a Jonas Brother who drove a wedge between the knicker dummy and the hillbilly:
Gaston, a Louisiana native, has told pals that the star’s resurrected friendship with Nick Jonas this spring was his Achilles’ heel.
“She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot, and Justin was cool with it at first, as long as it was just a cool, friendly thing,” says an insider. “She didn’t cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time.”
Yeah, that’s still totally boring. I can’t even put into words how little I care about some dirty old man panty mannequin’s angst, or about Hannah Montana and Little Jonas dry humping each other whilst praying or whatever. Everyone involved in this nonsense is creepy and disgusting.

Just a few months after she was seen hanging out with her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas, and just as she departs to shoot her latest flick, "The Last Song,"
in Georgia, Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston have broken up, according to sources cited in UsMagazine.com
and E.
The couple, who began dating late last year, began to set the gossip blogs aflutter when they each Tweeted about feeling lonely and heartbroken, prompting many to wonder if the duo had officially called it quits. "Why does saying good-bye hurt so much?" Miley Tweeted, adding, "Life will go on. You will smile again ... we will smile again."
Meanwhile, Gaston Tweeted about his sadness without specifying why he was feeling that way. "Sleep just can't find me tonight," he wrote. "I almost fell asleep. I think I did for like 10 seconds. Obviously it didn't work out. How many tears are in* there? They've gotta run out soon right?"
Sources close to the couple have reportedly confirmed the split, saying that both Cyrus and Gaston are heartbroken, but that her friendship with Jonas may have played a part in the breakup.
"She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot, and Justin was cool with it at first, as long as it was just a cool, friendly thing," the source told E! News. "She didn't cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time."
The duo had recently started to hang out while working together on the song, "Pass It On," and she recently Tweeted about the friendship. ""I'm in a dark theater 'writing' a song with nick j who is rockin a faded eggplant shirt!"
In the June/July issue of Details magazine, Gaston denied rumors that he and Miley were living together"No!" he said. "I live in an apartment in North Hollywood with two guys!"

“They’re taking time off for the time being, they’ve split,” says a source. “It could just end up as a break but for now they’re doing their own thing.”
That much was certainly apparent over the weekend as the Israeli-born Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, 23, walked the red carpet at Hollywood Life’s 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards solo, refusing to speak about DiCaprio, while the Titanic star, 34, hit the hotspot Avenue in New York City, where he was seen chatting with another woman.
“He was standing at the bar in front of everyone talking to a girl the entire night ? and it wasn’t Bar,” says one onlooker. “It was in no way behavior for a guy who has a serious girlfriend.”
According to a Refaeli source, the model’s desire to get serious may have caused the actor to have doubts about their relationship. “She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together,” the source says, “so he broke it off.”

I suspected there might be trouble between Leonardo and Bar back during the awards season, when Bar didn?t show up on Leo?s arm once. Instead, he seemed happy to go to all of the parties with his best girlfriend Kate Winslet, who is probably the closet thing Leo has to the love of his life (in my opinion). Also, way back when Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson first broke up, Lindsay and Leo met up at a club and Lindsay gave him some kind of cracked-out lap dance. My guess is that Leo and Bar have been ?taking a break? for the better part of the year, and have only gotten around to announcing it now. Look out ladies! DiCaprio?s on the prowl. Anyone not over 5 feet ten inches and larger than a size zero need not apply.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli have broken up again. A source says they’re just taking time off, but the truth is it’ll be forever when yours truly swoops in with his dashing good looks and shining personality.
This news could explain why Bar walked the red carpet at Hollywood Life’s 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards alone refusing to talk about DiCaprio while Leo hit on some woman at Avenue in NYC.

Yesterday, US Weekly had a story about how Miley Cyrus and her dad-approved douchebag boyfriend Justin Gaston had ?said their goodbyes?? for a few months. Miley was off to Georgia to film a movie, work on her Walmart clothing line, and then begin taping the next season of Hannah Montana. Meanwhile, Justin will be spending the summer doing ? Lord knows. What would you suspect Justin Gaston does in his spare time? Forget spare time, what exactly does Justin do for a career? Besides molesting John Lennon songs?
Before heading to Georgia to film her new Nicholas Sparks movie The Last Song, Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston “said their goodbyes last night,” a source tells Usmagazine.com.
“‘my heart is in two… and its all because of you.’ a song i am starting to write :)” Cyrus, 16, posted on Twitter last week.
It looks like the couple won’t see each for awhile: Cyrus is busy filming the flick, designing her clothing line for Wal-Mart, taping the new season of Hannah Montana — and then kicking off another concert tour this September.
Gaston, 20, won’t be joining her on the road.
“He’s got his own thing going on,” Cyrus told Us at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Celebrity Carnival in Westwood, Calif. Sunday. “But I am just continuing to work hard and definitely have the whole tour going on and my clothing line and the movie.”
From the look of his Twitter page, Gaston isn’t taking the time apart very well.
“Haven’t been this miserable in a looong time,” he wrote.
Cyrus, meanwhile, isn’t slowing down any time soon.
“I am so excited for everyone working on this movie because we are all obsessed with it. It is going to be great,” she told Us. “I want to continue to do TV, but what I really love to do is movies so hopefully that is what my future holds.”

Anyway, I really think much of the story until today - it seems Miley and Justin may have said their goodbyes, for real. Not just for the summer. Don?t laugh, but I totally went on Miley?s Twitter, and she seems to be writing in a veiled way about a split with Justin. Here?s some samplings of what I think are confirmations of a split with Justin: ?why does saying good-bye hurt so much?? Then, ?life will go on. you will smile again…. we will smile again.? Is it wrong to hope that she?s done with Justin? She seemed to care about him, but I always suspected her father was a bigger fan of Justin. Which is just creepy. And a good enough reason to break it off. Even if they haven?t broken up yet, I suspect they will within the next few months. Miley?s going to meet somebody else, and she?ll wonder why she stuck around with that bonehead for so long.

A witness told US Weekly that Brad?s incognito visit with Angelina made it seem like they were having ?lots of fun and looked so in love.? US Weekly also took the opportunity to repeat last week?s claim by Angelina?s representative that tabloid reports of Brangelina?s demise are untrue. So much for cold, sexless Angelina, I suppose:
Brad Pitt knows how to squeeze in a date!
The actor stopped the Washington, DC set of Anglina Jolie’s thriller Salt (out July 2010) Monday. He wasn’t photographed with any of their six kids.
Pitt looked casual in a newsboy cap, sunglasses and white T-shirt.
Jolie is back at work after suffering a minor injury. The actress, who just turned 34, was taken to the hospital late last month after bumping her head on set.
She and Pitt were last spotted together in Cannes in May, where they showed off PDA at the premiere of Pitt’s Inglorious Bastards.
“They had lots of fun and looked so in love,” a witness told Usmagazine.com.
Last Wednesday, Pitt’s rep confirmed to Us tabloid reports the couple was about to announce a breakup were “absolutely not true.”
Added Jolie’s manager to Us: “Not true at all.”

Pretty. Much better than the usual cold, modern, hard-edged pieces that Brad tends to pick out.

“Certain things you get used to,” Klum told Usmagazine.com Sunday at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s “A Time For Heroes” celebrity carnival. “You get used to all the changes of your body. It’s not like I’m going, ‘Oh my God!’ I’m used to that part of it.”
Klum says her children — Leni, 5, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2 — have already noticed the changes in her body.
“They get it,” said Klum, who renewed her vows with husband Seal in May on the Malibu shore. “They always rub my tummy.
“If I had a dress on, Leni would literally go all the way down under my dress to rub my tummy. And I go, ‘My underwear is showing, thank you very much!’”
Added Klum (who is expecting a baby girl): “You feel like a Buddha!”
As for getting back her post-baby bod, she’s not concerned.
“I’m not worried,” said Klum, who famously sported a bikini at a 2005 Victoria’s Secret fashion show two months after welcoming son Henry. “I know my body will go back again!”

I really am happy for Heidi and Seal. I love them as a couple, and I think they just have a really tight family. In the next few months, we?ll start seeing more of Heidi as she starts promoting the sixth season of Project Runway, which will begin in August. For fans of Project Runway, I found this interesting article at MSNBC about the new season, which was filmed in Los Angeles in what was apparently an exact replica of the old New York set. Heidi was very disappointed, because she was hoping that Lifetime (Project Runway?s new home) would give the show a massive set upgrade. Not so much, apparently.

Last we left Madonna, her attempted adoption of Mercy from Malawi was blocked by a judge who cited an outdated law that she hadn’t lived in the state for 18 months and therefore couldn’t adopt. She’s been appealing the decision ever since and now she’s finally going to get that baby.
“The paperwork is being typed up now.
“All recommendations are in favour of the adoption taking place. Mercy should start packing her bags. She’s off to America.”
A close friend of Madonna said: “She’s ecstatic.
“She made a promise that she wouldn’t give up on Mercy and, believe me, she could move mountains when she’s this determined.”
This is great. Another African baby for her collection. One that she will pay a nanny to love and cherish while every once in a treating it to her cold, hard embrace. Being hugged by Madonna must feel like being grabbed by that claw you win stuffed animals with.

One thing she said that I found refreshing is that she doesn’t have a cook or a nanny despite having the resources to hire a full staff. I’ve heard her say that she enjoys doing things around the house but this is the first time I can recall hearing her say that she has hardly any help at all.
Kate has daughter Mia, 8, from her first marriage, and son Joe, 5, from her current marriage to director Sam Mendes.
People must think you have a perfect life. Great marriage, two beautiful kids, all these awards, plum roles…
“I don’t have a perfect life. There are things I could implement within my life that would probably make it easier. But I deliberately don’t do it because if I did, I would be living that movie star existence that I really try and resist. I mean, it’s very tempting to have a nanny and live in a gated community and have a chef - I’d love to have a few dinners cooked for me. But I don’t want that for my children. When they’re older, if people say to them, ‘Did you have a chef?’ I want them to be shocked by the question.”
You seem to be very happy. Is that an advantage of getting older?
“I’m happier about myself than I’ve ever been. I remember being 21, 22 and looking at other women and thinking, ‘Oh, they just look so brilliant. I’m sure I’m never going to look that good.’ I am absolutely amazed that here I am at the age of 33, having had two children, and having had no work done, and I feel really good. Maybe it’s just hormones or something. And age.”
How do you stay in shape?
“I haven’t done any exercise since October. I haven’t done a thing. So who knows how I’m holding it together. Pilates definitely helped a bit. However, when I was doing it consistently, I wasn’t doing it that consistently. So maybe it’s just being busy and age.”
So what are some of the best things about being in your thirties?
“I don’t feel self-conscious any more. I think turning 30, you’re allowed to be less obsessed with how you look. I really like being 33. I don’t think I look younger than I am or older than I am. I think I look my age. Also, while I feel very joined at the hip with my family, I also feel independent. I feel like I can stand on my own two feet.”

I like Winslet and am glad she finally got the recognition she deserved with her Oscar win this year. She just seems like a nice, normal person who is doing her best for her family. If I was in her shoes, though, I would absolutely get some help around the house. There’s no shame in it, but she feels strongly that her children should be raised without a staff and that’s admirable. I get the impression that even if Winslet had a house full of helpers her kids would still grow up to be grounded, kind people, though. She just seems like that kind of mom.

Madonna was devastated to learn that the Malawian high court denied her adoption bid for three year-old Mercy James in early April. (Mercy could be four at this point, the reports differ.) Madonna appealed the decision but it was unknown whether she would be successful given how she flouted the country’s adoption laws. Malawian law states that adoptive parents must reside in the country for at least 18 months, and Madonna made no attempt to live in Malawi even after the adoption was denied. The 50 year-old pop singer is also single, and the courts favor married couples. Three year-old Mercy James also has a living father and a grandmother who have both spoken out against the girl being adopted and removed from the country.
All of those details were mere ignored formalities to Madonna and she’s still pushing forward with the adoption. According to The Sun, Madonna has “convinced” all three appeal judges to approve the adoption and it will be rubber stamped over the weekend. I wonder how much she paid out in bribes. Hayden Panettiere recently sat down with the online magazine A Girl?s World for some early promotion of I Love You Beth Cooper. According to AGW, the storyline goes: ?the class nerd Denis Cooverman (Paul Rust) confesses all in his graduation speech. At the top of his list is his love and desire for class hottie Beth Cooper. For her own reasons, she shows up at his door promising to show him the time of his life!? It?s being compared to Superbad, but like the girl?s version of Superbad. Which is weird, because I tend to think most girls and women don?t really care for that gross-out comedy of Superbad, but whatever.
In the interview, Hayden is mostly talking about the film, and about her role on Heroes. But she does get some questions about Hollywood?s beauty standards, and the body image pressures she feels. Hayden is pretty cool about it all, talking about her cellulite, whether she?s a role model to young women, and she ends up saying ?’I?m sorry, I?m a woman. I don?t know what you want me to tell you.?
AGW: There is so much pressure on young female stars like yourself to look or be “perfect”. How do you handle that?
Hayden: I can?t tell you how many times I?ve thanked God and my parents for raising me in a place that was so humbling and so outside any of that stuff. I mean I live criticism every day. I?d go walk my dogs and I used to walk them in my PJ?s and now I have to make sure I look half decent or else I?ll get trashed. Or like having cellulite on the back of your legs. ‘I?m sorry, I?m a woman. I don?t know what you want me to tell you’ [we laugh]. ‘I?m sorry. It?s not going to go away. I can?t do anything about it. I apologize if I offended you’.
AGW: Cellulite, the equal opportunity curse! But, you seem to be surviving the pressure…
Hayden: I think I came into it when Paris and Lindsay and all these girls were at their height of what they were doing and I would say it?s guilty by association. If you are a young female in Hollywood, you are guilty of everything that people say. People feel that they have a right to judge you and they haven?t even had a conversation with you and it?s scary. I have a body that girls can look at and go, ‘oh she?s not anorexically skinny. She looks healthy and she?s got cellulite, yeah!’
AGW: (by now we’re thinking about our own cellulite. Thank God we’re wearing long pants). Does this “role model” label drive you nuts then?
Hayden: I think the only problem with attempting to be a role model is the fact that you just want to go, ‘okay, I?ll be a role model for you. I?d love to, but don?t expect me to be perfect because I?m not and I do screw up and I do make mistakes and I can?t always think of everyone else and what they?re going to say’. Because at the end of the day the only person you can make happy is yourself. No matter whether it?s wrong or right or looks good or looks bad, somebody will hate it. Somebody will.

Hayden isn?t scary skinny, I?ll give her that. She has a nice, healthy, athletic build. So I?m okay with her being some kind of role model to girls - they could pick someone a lot worse. Most recently, Hayden was seen partying in Cannes with British hunk/skeeze Steve Jones. I don?t really know him, but I?ve heard that he?s like the British version of Mario Lopez, someone of that caliber. It looks like Hayden and Milo Ventimiglia really are over. And yet, I?m not broken up about it. Weird.

It?s no secret that things have been very icy between Tori and Candy Spelling. Over the past few months, there?s been a ton of back and forth between the two women, so much that I don?t even want to do a proper recap. It was a lot of Candy calling Tori a horrible person, and Tori calling Candy a bad mother, et cetera. The last chapter in the saga happened about a week and half ago, when Candy went on a radio show and said, ?My daughter one day decided that she wasn?t speaking to my husband, myself and my son and that?s how it?s continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years. It was sad because that?s what killed my husband actually.?
Tori responded to that pretty well, considering her mom basically said Tori killed her father. Tori just sort of publicly detached, not really offering a comment about the whole situation. It looks like Tori was trying to privately mend some fences, though - she invited Candy to granddaughter Stella?s first birthday party. Candy proclaimed a few months ago that she had never even met her granddaughter - so this was a golden opportunity. Unfortunately for all, Candy once again confirmed to all of us that she?s the biggest megabitch to ever buy out Rodeo Drive. Candy at first RSVPed the party invitation, and her people even began making arrangements with Tori?s people. But in the end, Candy cancelled - just one hour before the birthday party of the granddaughter she?s never met:
Hoping to end their ongoing feud, Tori Spelling invited her estranged mother Candy to daughter Stella’s first birthday party this past Saturday in Encino, Calif., sources tell Usmagazine.com.
Candy’s camp RSVPed yes, but she never showed up (despite complaining in many interviews that she has never met her granddaughter).
Sources add that Candy’s camp even called in advance and asked if camera crews for Tori’s Oxygen show would be present. Tori assured them she would be respectful of her mother’s wishes if she didn’t want to be filmed.
“She still chose not to come,” says a source.
A Candy source tells Us, “Candy did RSVP to the event but decided not to attend when she found out there would be cameras there. She wanted it to be an entirely private meeting.”
But a Tori source says Candy “knew there would be cameras and had her people call a week before to have the photo releases sent over.”
“She waited until one hour before the event to notify Tori, by email, that she wasn’t attending,” adds the source. “Tori was busy preparing and didn’t get the email until after the party. She was waiting for her mom the whole time.”
As for Candy’s concerns for privacy, the Tori insider tells Us, “It was a big party and there was plenty of opportunity for a private meeting.”
Tori and Candy have been estranged for some time.
Their feud took a new twist late last month when Candy remarked that Tori had abandoned her father before his 2006 death and “that’s what killed my husband.”
Tori has never revealed the reason she doesn’t talk to her mother. (She has vaguely said they just “don’t go together.”)
In April, Candy — who released her frank memoir Stories From Candyland a few weeks before Tori debuted her book, Mommyhood — posted a public letter to Tori on her website, pushing for a reconciliation.
But Tori told Usmagazine.com in April, “If I said one thing to my mother, it wouldn’t be public because if she does intend to have a relationship with her grandchildren — which I am totally open to — I just would like her to approach us privately.”

I don?t think Tori is God?s gift or anything, I just think that with a mother like that, it?s amazing that Tori is a functioning member of society, much less a woman with a certain amount of humor, intelligence, and, dare I say, grace. I didn?t think I would ever use the word ?grace? with the words ?Tori Spelling,? but there it is. From this point on, Candy has absolutely no right to ever use her grandchildren as some sort of issue to use against Tori.

A few weeks ago, prolific self-promoting Twitterer Tila Tequila tweeted that she was sick and throwing up repeatedly, and then posted that “I?m gonna tell y?all something REAL FAST, and then delete it, ok? Since nobody is awake? reason why I?ve been feeling sick on and off lately is because yes, I am pregnant!”
The thing is, you can never delete a tweet because they still show up in searches, sometimes for weeks, and there are websites that archive them. Just go to Tweleted and plug in Tila Tequila’s Twitter username, officialTila. She’s deleted so many tweets that the one about being pregnant has been pushed off the list by more recent deletions. She did make reference to being pregnant in a now-deleted tweet on June 3: “I know, ya’ll just can’t keep up with my love life huh? 1st pregnant, then all these men(supposedly), now my girlfriend…keep up! LOL”
Now we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the clueless woman who starred in the first bisexual dating show is not going to have a baby. Tila recently posted on her MySpace blog that she is “not currently pregnant” without denying that she used to be:
So I don’t usually like to address rumors cuz all it does is start up more drama, and as you can all clearly see in all of my video’s, I am a very fun-loving, happy, and drama-free type of girl. However lately the rumors have been piling up and I just felt the need to clear up the rumors for all of my fans because I care about you and want you to know the truth! First of all….the PREGNANCY rumors….the point is…maybe I was pregnant, or maybe I wasn’t pregnant. Tila also posted a video in which she told us to “look up the word ‘hearsay’ in the dictionary and compared the speculation about her pregnancy to the game “telephone.” Only in this case, Tila is the one who first broke the news to the public. She sort-of acknowledges this, saying “you start to lose actual truth behind a small little message and everyone gets it all misconstrued.”
She also seems to explain that the pregnancy story was planned for publicity. “Everything is also very well orchestrated, and I’m having a lot of fun…. I don’t really care about those false rumors. It’s all orchestrated.” So is someone coaching Tila to tweet that she’s pregnant or is someone else posting those Twitter messages on her behalf? I was ready to believe that she was really pregnant at one point when I read this story on People and just saw what she wrote, but after watching the video I’m pretty sure either someone else is running her Twitter account or is telling her to start rumors so that she’ll get more press. It worked this one time and she got some coverage but she ended up looking like even more of a tool than she did before. She’s going to have to think of other stunts to pull or she’ll just be the starlet who cried wolf baby.

Geri Halliwell probably should learn how a bikini fits properly. Wait a minute, that was a stupid thing to say. The former Spice Girl should probably just take off the bikini. Yeah, that would make much more sense to me. Aside from the PDA in some of the pictures, Geri is still someone I don't mind staring at in a bikini. I'm not quite sure what she's looking at down her bikini bottoms. Perhaps she just figured out that she's got lady parts. I bet Geri is telling it to calm down and stop biting people.
