You know when you were a kid and your mom started getting really involved in your school life either by being a chaperone or joining the PTA or coming in during the day to give everyone cupcakes? You were all embarrassed and, like, mooooom?!
Well, Ireland Basinger Baldwin is going to be feeling a lot of that because her mom, Kim Basinger, 60, just signed on to IMG Models, the same agency Ireland is under.
Though maybe she won’t be too embarrassed. Ireland has credited her mom for getting her into modeling. In anElle profile, she said, “She [her mom] thought it would be good for my confidence because I never thought of myself as a pretty girl.” Having your dad call you a rude thoughtless little pig could do that to you. Thanks, Alec, for giving your daughter the lack of self-confidence she needed to succeed.

Selena Gomez has canceled the Asia and Australia leg of her Stars Dance tour in order to get some “me” time. Gomez was set to perform in five cities in Australia and with dates in Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Now nothing. In a statement toBillboard, she said:
?My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them,? comments Gomez in a statement issued by promoter Live Nation. ?But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me.?
That settles it. Selena Gomez is pregnant and is going to birth a secret baby. Called it!

Julianne covers this week?s The Edit (net-a-porter.com?s in-house online magazine) and as most of The Edit?s work, this editorial is really good. Julianne looks sexy, the clothes are beautiful and interesting and she?s showing off some great jewelry. You can read Julianne?s interview here ? she talks a lot about fashion (obviously, this is a fashion mag), and I?ve never realized before that she actually LIKES fashion. Like, she cares about it. She cares about labels and looking cute. Which is funny because? although I love her, Julianne?s red carpet style can be pretty bad. Anyway, some highlights:
It?s a privilege to be able to age naturally: ?Hell yeah!? she practically shouts. ?I?d like to think that I can age as naturally as possible. I don?t want to come out condemning anything anybody does, because I think that all of these things can contribute to making people feel better about themselves, and that?s great. But I also want to look like myself. I mean, we?re not going to live forever. You could be dead at 45, and guess what? Then you don?t have to worry about aging.? Moore glances into the mirror, her transformation for the day almost complete. ?I feel like I?d like to be 90. I?d like to be 100. I may not be lucky enough to have that happen. But, boy, I?m going to try.?
Her friendship with Tom Ford: ?When Tom makes something for you, you wear it. It was beautiful, perfect. It?s always a pleasure.? So how does it feel to be Ford?s muse? Moore chuckles. ?I don?t know that I?m his muse. I?m definitely a friend. He?s not mysterious about fashion, which I love. I don?t think it?s a mysterious business. I think it?s something that should be a lot of fun, and expressive, and obviously have some cultural relevance. It?s about who we are at that moment in time. He?s just a great, wonderfully creative and soulful person, and a really good friend.?
Her daughter is into fashion too: ?[Liv] has suddenly become very interested in fashion,? she says. ?She even went to Fashion Camp this summer. So I was like, ?Liv, do you want to go (to the show)?? We had a great time, and she met every fashion editor in the business. She loved it. She talked about the clothes as they came out ? what she liked, what she would wear, what she thought would look good on me, and I said what would look good on her. It?s a great thing to share. She?s much more daring than I am, certainly with color.?
Style rules: ?After a certain age, you can?t wear anything with words on it. Also, I don?t wear a lot of color because, having red hair, I carry a lot of color with me. I read a quote from an actress who said, ?Only wearing black is like not taking chances?, and I was like, ?I guess I don?t take chances then! I wear a lot of black!?? she says, laughing deeply.

Sure, I thought about whether gingers can and should wear red (something I don?t mind) or how it looks like Christmas when gingers wear green (which I also like), but I never thought about it in terms of ?my hair is so bright, that?s why I don?t wear a lot of color.?
I also love this ? ?After a certain age, you can?t wear anything with words on it.? That?s how I feel about a lot of logo-bags. Unless you?re just all about conspicuous consumption and shouting your branded clothes, why would you want an Louis Vuitton bag that had ?LV? stamped on it a million times?
As for her comments on aging? I?m sure some people will yell at me and claim that Julianne has had a ton of work, but I really don?t think so. I think she?s just a beautiful woman with great genes and no Botox.

Now that she?s in her 40s? it feels like shtick. Even when she tries to mix it up a little bit, she ends up looking sort of dated, because Jennifer came of age sartorially in the 1990s and she never moved past it. What?s my point? I wouldn?t take Jennifer?s style advice. But that isn?t stopping her from trying to dish it out!
Jennifer Aniston is NOT making friends with today?s young actresses. Jen says they?re ruining Hollywood?s sexy image by dressing like frumpy grandmothers. The 20-somethings should shape up and start showing off their shapes, says the 44-year-old ?We?re the Millers? star.

Jennifer?s one to talk about ?caked-on makeup?. She wears a TON of makeup and it often looks very, very cakey. I also think the whole ?wear short skirts and look young!? advice is dumb in general ? not everyone feels like miniskirts are the height of fashion, after all.
But, all that being said, Jennifer?s not ALL wrong. I?m often disappointed by Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and ScarJo?s style. I get the feeling that J-Law simply doesn?t know what to do with clothes and she just wears whatever her stylist (or Dior) tells her to wear. Emma does try to be edgy and unique, and I think that?s what gets her into trouble, because often those difficult ?trends? wear her instead of the other way around. And ScarJo? well, I?m always disappointed that Scarlett can?t figure out a way to get designers to tailor clothes for her body type. More often than not, Scarlett wears stuff that was meant for girls with Keira Knightley?s body type and it doesn?t work.

I think for the past few years, Gisele Bundchen has out-earned her husband Tom Brady. Of course, when you?re talking about that kind of money, there?s really not that big of a difference between making $60 million versus $45 million in one year. It?s all pretty excessive. But here?s what I never considered: could it be that Gisele and Tom only ?live? on HIS money? That?s what Star Mag says ? that Gisele squirrels away her millions and Tom pays all the bills:
You would think that Gisele Bundchen drops major cash on a daily basis, but instead of draining her estimated net worth of $290 million, Gisele lets her husband Tom Brady pick up the tab.
Pals say Gisele, 33, deposits her income into a separate account that only she has access to, while Tom takes care of the family?s every expense.

I could actually see Gisele saying something like ?It?s HIS job to take care of us,? so on that front, this could totally be true. A lot of married couples have that kind of arrangement ? the bulk of the man?s paycheck goes into a joint account and the wife?s paycheck goes into her separate account. Now, all that being said, Gisele strikes me as the kind of woman who knows how to take care of herself financially, and not just because she has $250 million in the bank. She just seems like she could be very self-sufficient and business-oriented.
By the way, Us Weekly had a recent story about how Gisele is taking over the interior design for their Brookline, Massachusetts mansion (which is being built as we speak, apparently). A source told Us Weekly that Gisele ?has taken the lead on designing? She knows how every room will look.? She plans on designing a yoga studio too. Oh, and Gisele and Tom also bought a giant apartment in NYC a few months ago too. So? is Tom paying for all of this real estate, plus interior design, plus living expenses? Yikes.
I?m sure you?ve seen Gisele?s breastfeeding pic from last week ? I really didn?t get why this photo was so ?controversial?? Is it because she was breastfeeding while being pampered and it just seemed sort of out-of-touch? Eh. It?s her job, people. She gets primped like this on a daily basis.

While Charlie Sheen is burning all his bridges with a crack torch and his ex wife, Brooke Mueller, is fudging the facts of her drug treatment, as addicts are wont to do, their twin four year-old boys may be placed in foster care. Radar has run several exclusives on this sad story, and claim that Bob and Max are in “very serious danger of being placed in foster care.”
Someone gave evidence to Child and Family Services that Brooke didn’t tell the truth about her treatment, and that her brother, who has been appointed temporary guardian, backed her up. Prior to this latest development, Brooke was set to be named guardian by Christmas. Depending on the outcome of the DCFS investigation, the boys may end up in foster care, unless Denise Richards comes back into their lives. More on that in a moment. First here’s the information from Radar’s source:
?There is a very real possibility that Bob and Max could be placed in foster case because evidence was also uncovered regarding their temporary guardian, Scott, that is riddled with glaring differences in version of events,? a source close to the situation tells Radar exclusively. ?The department is taking this very seriously, and are considering recommending the boys be placed in foster care, pending the outcome of the investigation.?
?Charlie can?t get custody of the boys, even if he were to have round the clock nannies because of his past behavior,? the source explains. ?Brooke?s parents won?t be considered. It?s such a sad situation, but the safety and well-being of the boys comes first. Such drastic action wouldn?t be taken unless it was necessary, and sadly, it is.?

Radar has an update to this story with the detail that the judge requested an administrative hearing following the DCFS investigation into these claims. It sounds like it’s unknown when the investigation will be finished.
Of course Brooke feels persecuted and thinks this is so unfair. A source tells Radar that Brooke “truly believes the authorities are out to get her and to make an example out of her. The harsh treatment she is getting is because Brooke believes she is a celebrity and was married to Charlie Sheen, who as everyone knows, has been extremely critical of DCFS.” She was called an unfit mother by the custody judge six months ago, while in her 21st stint in rehab. It was just May when the judge read a “shocking” report about the conditions in her home and placed the boys in Denise Richards’ care. This has everything to do with her history, which has more than likely been overlooked because she is rich and was married to a famous person. If anything she got many more chances at custody then she would have as an average person, likely to her boys’ detriment.
After learning that DCFS may put the boys in foster care, Denise Richards contacted the agency and said that she would be willing to take the boys in again. About a month ago, Denise wrote a heartfelt letter to DCFS saying that she could no longer care for the boys due to their behavioral problems. The boys were sometimes violent and having them in her home put her daughters and pets at risk. Denise also stated that she tried to get the twins professional help, but did not have the authority to do so and was blocked by Brooke.
Maybe if Denise gets custody again she’ll be to get the boys the treatment they need. That seems to be a condition of her offer. Radar’s source claims that “If the boys were to come back to Denise, she said they would have to be properly tested and assessed for their behavioral issues. She never wanted to give the boys up, but Brooke refused to allow them to be seen by doctors.” I hope it’s not too late for them. This is just a depressing story all around, with Denise the one bright spot. Denise deserves so much credit in this situation, she has shown time and again that she is thinking of the children. She seems to be the only one.

Well, Page Six has an interesting story about Lohan and her jailbait of the moment:
Lindsay Lohan has been hanging with a group of high-flying teenagers since her stint in rehab ? but even the youth crowd seems to have tired of the 27-year-old ?actress? because she?s just too ?childish.?
Sources say premature cougar Lohan even creepily crashed a recent party for the ?Rich Kids of Instagram? crowd ? where her former love interest, 18-year-old male model Morgan O?Connor, was hanging with friends ? and then ordered all the young women there to leave before locking herself in a bedroom.
?She finds out where Morgan is, then shows up and causes problems,? said a friend of the dreadlocked model, adding that Lohan was recently miffed O?Connor hadn?t returned her calls, then tracked him down and caused a scene.
?Morgan was staying at the Dream Downtown, and Lindsay showed up and found out which room he was in,? said a spy. ?She knocked on his door, came in and started bitching Morgan out. She was ordering all the girls to leave, telling one that her Balmain jeans were fake. She said she wouldn?t leave till they all left. These kids are 18.?
A witness said hotel security arrived and, ?They honestly didn?t know what to do. They assumed it was Lohan?s room.? Then, Lindsay ?called her dad and locked herself in a bedroom and wouldn?t come out,? our source said. ?It?s childish stuff. She?s chronically distraught. Every time she comes around, she causes problems. Morgan?s modeling, he?s going to the gym, working for charities ? he?s got stuff to do. He doesn?t want to be around Lindsay or her behavior.?
A source said that when Lohan subsequently spotted O?Connor ? son of Newport and Palm Beach socialite and former Town & Country covergirl Pamela O?Connor, and a face of Polo?s spring 2014 collection ? with a girl his own age at LIV in Miami, she ?ran up and kissed him, then tried to kick the girl out.?
Lohan has also been linked to model Liam Dean, 19, and Liam Neeson?s teen son Michael. O?Connor couldn?t be reached. Lohan?s rep didn?t get back to us. A Dream rep wouldn?t comment.

Human Rights Watch ? who have become really good at getting people to write about celebrities and their associations to tyrants, dictators, despots and crooks ? issued yet another slam against Mariah this week. This isn?t even the first time Mariah has caught the eye of Human Right Watch ? they slammed her back in 2008 when she was paid to perform for the Khadafy family (which was what Beyonce did several years ago too). This time around, Mariah got $1 million to perform for Angolan despot Jos Eduardo dos Santos:
All she wants for Christmas is more cash from a dictator. Curvy diva Mariah Carey performed a two-hour concert for Angola despot Jos Eduardo dos Santos on Sunday for more than $1 million ? after apologizing in 2008 for performing for Moammar Khadafy?s family, according to the Human Rights Foundation.
?Mariah Carey can?t seem to get enough dictator cash,? said Human Rights Foundation president Thor Halvorssen in a statement. ?Just five years ago she performed for the family of Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy. Now, she goes from private performances to public displays of support and credibility for one of Africa?s chief human rights violators and most corrupt tyrants.?
Carey?s show was sponsored by Unitel, a mobile-phone company owned by dos Santos? daughter, Isabel. She is also the head of the Angolan Red Cross, which the gala benefited.
?It is the sad spectacle of an international artist purchased by a ruthless police state to entertain and whitewash the father-daughter kleptocracy that has amassed billions in ill-gotten wealth while the majority of Angola lives on less than $2 a day,? said Halvorssen.
Carey posed for a picture with the African dictator, his daughter and his wife. ?I am happy to be here in this room and I am honored to share this show with the President of Angola,? Carey said at the gala, according to the Human Rights Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on protecting and promoting human rights globally.
The Dos Santos are the only billionaires in Angola and have reigned since 1979. Dos Santos has ordered the execution of many politicians, journalists and activists who defy his rule. His family has allegedly ?exploited oil and diamond wealth to build total control over all branches of the government, the military, and the courts,? according to the HRC.
When Carey was shamed along with Beyonce for performing for Khadafy?s family she released a statement promising to be more careful about whom she belts it for.
?I was naive and unaware of who I was booked to perform for,? she said at the time. ?I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable. Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from. We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows.?
Carey?s spokesperson has not responded yet to a request for comment.

Julia Roberts is a star from another age. Julia is perhaps one of the last old-school movie stars, the kind of movie star that never had to get a Twitter account or a Facebook page to interact with fans. Julia doesn?t want to interact with you. She?s above you and she would never dream of interacting with you, especially not on social media. Julia became famous and maintained her fame in the late 80s and throughout the 90s, before blogs and Twitter and such. She kept the few tabloids in print back then, and she was the biggest thing around. In the aughts, Julia began taking a step back from her movie star throne ? she began spending most of her time in New Mexico, she got married and had her babies, and she didn?t work that much. But when she did work, she expected people to treat her like she was still the biggest movie star around, and they did for the most part.
But nowadays? is Julia still a big deal? In her mind, she?s still a big deal, I?m sure. But I think the affection people had for her two decades ago has largely faded. Sure, people in her industry still love her ? Julia just scored a SAG and a Globe nomination, after all. But I?m not sure the rest of us really care that much. Is this what Julia wanted all along? Or does she have regrets about her faded star power? Julia recently spoke to In Touch about how ?great? it is that reality stars are all the rage now:
Julia Roberts is one of the biggest movie stars in the world ? but she values her privacy and prefers to stay out of the public eye. The mother of three admits to In Touch that she is thankful for over-the-top TV families like the Kardashians.
?As a film actor, I?m [only] inviting people to pay attention to my characters. But if you?re a reality star, by virtue you are asking and inviting people to pay attention to you,? Julia explains in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. ?It?s great because they take that attention away from me.?
She hasn?t ever watched an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but hasn?t ruled it out just yet. ?I think there?s still time,? Julia jokes with In Touch of the famous family?s long-running reality show. ?They?re still on TV, aren?t they??
The actress also reveals that reality TV is one of her guilty pleasures! ?I love Project Runway because I love to sew,? the actress admits to In Touch. ?I?ve also seen Housewives a little bit.?

I?m trying to decide if Julia was shade-baiting. ?They?re still on TV, aren?t they?? Like she doesn?t know! Like she doesn?t have an opinion on Lucifer?s Homegirl! Anyway, do you think Julia IS happy that reality stars get all the attention now? Or is she a little bit like? ?Whoa, I?m not a big deal anymore?? I?m not even sure she?s self-aware enough to even consider that she?s not a big deal anymore though.

What do you have to do to get married in most states? You have to go get a marriage license and you have to get some kind of registered minister or what have you to officiate your wedding. Which? sounds like more drama than getting a driver?s license, to me at least. Julia makes it sound like ?getting a driver?s license? is the hardest thing ever. Maybe she?s talking about the driving test? Julia thinks people should have to take tests before they?re allowed to get married? Er? no bueno.
