There are certain people in the Duchess of Sussex?s life who adore her and stand up for her and have her back. Some of those people have their own self-centered agendas though, like Jessica Mulroney and now Chrissy Teigen. Chrissy knows Meghan but I don?t think they?re BFFs or anything, it?s more like they met professionally years ago and have one of those LA friendships. This week, Chrissy chatted on the Watch What Happens Live after-show about how Meghan contacted her last year after Chrissy lost her baby Jack. It would have been shortly after Meghan miscarried too. Chrissy didn?t make a meal out of this, which surprised me.
Chrissy Teigen has a royal supporter ? Meghan Markle. The cookbook author, 35, said Tuesday that she and the Duchess of Sussex have connected multiple times, but Markle ? who suffered a miscarriage last summer ? first reached out to her after losing her son Jack last year.
Yeah, shes been so kind to me ever since we connected, Teigen said in response to a fan question during the Watch What Happens Live! after show. She had written me about baby Jack. but yeah she is really wonderful and so kind ? just as kind as everyone says she is? Thats why you look at everything and youre like My god, what is absolutely wrong with people that they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy? when its just as simple as them being as kind as everyone says they are.
Teigen added that she also spoke to Markle, 39, after her and Prince Harrys tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.
I think when I ended up watching it, it was like Holy s this is big, Teigen said, adding: But also I waited a long time to watch it, so Id already heard so much about it.
WWHL host Andy Cohen asked if Markle had shared any extra tea during their conversation, but Teigen denied learning anything that wasnt shared with the public. No. I think shes been very honest [and] open, she said. I think her truth has been her truth since the very beginning.
Teigen ? who first encountered Markle when the two appeared on the game show Deal or No Deal together ? has come to her defense several times over the past few years. Last month, Teigen spoke out when Markle was accused of bullying palace staff members when she was a working member of the royal family. this meghan markle s is hitting too close to home for me, Teigen tweeted. these people wont stop until she miscarries. f stop it.

It?s nice that Meghan contacted her and that they?ve spoken a few times. It?s even nicer that Chrissy hasn?t been giving us minute-by-minute updates when Meghan contacts her. I would hope that most people in contact with the Sussexes will avoid dishing on them, even if it?s nice stuff like ?Meghan is a lovely person.? Still, it was probably cathartic for both women to be able to talk to each other about miscarriage and loss when they were both going through it last year.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez finally split for good last week, after having a ?soft breakup? a month earlier. I feel like J.Lo has been at peace with the breakup? It?s seemed that way in the gossip press not a lot of post-split drama, and Alex is so clearly pining for her. That?s the way Jen prefers to leave a relationship, with the guy understanding that he fked up and she won?t take him back. Those are her favorite exes. Now Jen?s team has gone to People Magazine to put a bow on the split and talk about how Alex made her miserable.
Jennifer dumped Alex: Multiple sources confirm in this weeks issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday, that it was Lopez, 51, who ultimately broke up with Rodriguez, 45. She insisted on it. There are too many issues that are unresolved, says a friend of Lopez, who has been filming her upcoming comedy Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic over the past few months.
She didn?t trust him & she was miserable: In the end, the sources say, Lopez could no longer fully trust Rodriguez, who flew to visit her in the Dominican Republic days after they publicly acknowledged on March 15 they were working through long simmering issues. She has been pretty miserable, says the friend, and didnt think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex.
The lockdown exacerbated their issues: They both liked spending more time together as a family, but it was difficult to keep that special spark when they saw each other every day, another insider says of the couple, who were forced to cancel two wedding ceremonies because of the ongoing pandemic.
Alex?s cheating: Then, when Lopez headed to the Dominican Republic for work, rumors Rodriguez had a wandering eye added strain. While sources say infidelity wasnt the cause of their breakup, whether or not he has cheated doesnt matter, says a music source. She wont tolerate the fear of it in the air between them.
Separating their families & businesses: While the onetime power duo, dubbed J-Rod, also have several business ventures together and share properties in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, theyre especially sad for the kids since they are all so close, says the Lopez friend. Its not a good situation but inevitable.
Teflon Jen will be fine: Jennifer has been in these difficult situations before. She is not one to sit around and cry, says the friend. Her kids make her the happiest. She is doing well. Though ending things with Rodriguez wasnt easy, Lopez feels at peace with her decision. They will try to be friends, and there is respect there, says a Miami source. But they are definitely going their separate ways.
She?s hanging out with Marc Anthony: Shes also found support in Anthony, 52, who recently brought Max and Emme to the Dominican Republic to spend quality time with their mom. Jennifer and Marc have a great relationship, says the friend. Having him around while she has had to work abroad has been very comforting.

I?m fine with all of this. I?m glad ?sources? acknowledged Alex?s infidelity, and I tend to believe that is how Jennifer really feels too. She didn?t dump Alex *because* of the infidelities, but all of that got added to the pile of sh-t she hates about him. Plus, he was so indiscreet and gross. Anyway, I feel like Marc Anthony constantly boosts her ego. He?s been in love with her for decades, even when he?s married to other women. Also: I appreciate the fact that Jennifer is now the kind of woman who dumps a guy because he makes her miserable, as opposed to staying with an unfaithful bastard just because she can?t be alone.

We continue to receive good news out of the Marvel and Disney+ camp. This week Marvel dropped the first trailer to their upcoming first Asian superhero movie, Shang Chi. And now, my two favorite franchises are getting a mashup, sort of. Emilia Clarke, Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, is joining the cast of Marvel and Disney+?s new project, Secret Invasion.
Secret Invasion will star Samuel L. Jackson (as Nick Fury), Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir (OMG hes gorgeous) and Emilia. Secret Invasion was a crossover comic about the secret Skrull invasion of Earth. The Skrulls are a shapeshifting alien race whose planet was destroyed by the Kree. The Captain Marvel movie gives several clues to what happened between the Kree (from the first Avengers) and the Skrull. Marvel (with their top secret plots and casting) are refusing to comment on Emilias role but I am sure it is epic.
Emilia also announced her three issue comic book M.O.M. (mother of madness) which is an image-heavy comic book that started off as a joke. You can find out more about it here at EW. Below are a few more details from Variety about Emilias role in Secret Invasion:
?Secret Invasion? was announced as a development property last year, one of Marvel?s many planned titles for Disney Plus. Jackson is reprising his MCU role of Nick Fury, while Mendelsohn will play the Skrull Talos as he did in the feature film ?Captain Marvel.? ?
The series is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Ben-Adir has been set as the a main villain. Kyle Bradstreet is attached to write and executive produce. Kevin Feige?s unit is producing the series for the streamer, as it does all other MCU titles, including the hits ?WandaVision? and ?Falcon and the Winter Soldier.?
Clarke is a four-time Emmy nominee for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen on HBO?s global smash ?Game of Thrones,? which just celebrated the 10th anniversary of its premiere. She is also a multiple Critics Choice Award nominee and was the 2018 recipient of the BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year. Clarke is an AMPAS member and was also noted as one of Time?s 100 Most Influential People. She is repped by Range Media Partners, CAA, Emptage Hallett, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller & Gellman.

I dont care what Emilia Clarke does in the Marvelverse, I am just stoked that she has joined the franchise. Emilia created a comic book that looks epic AND joined one of the most coveted comic book movie franchises. She makes baller moves. The only thing that irritates me about this announcement is that I have to wait god knows how long just to see a teaser trailer then the show.
Marvel and Disney+ are doing some amazing work. I have enjoyed WandaVision and Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Both shows have had incredible writing and action sequences. Something tells me that Secret Invasion will be just as good.
Besides nabbing Emilia Clarke, Marvel was able to get Kingsley Ben-Adir who is next level gorgeous. Unfortunately he may be covered in blue or green makeup but thats ok. I am also wondering if Secret Invasion will be a sort of prequel or addition to Captain Marvel or Doctor Strange. I am just excited to have Emilia in my favorite comic book universe. In the meantime, I am looking forward to her comic book, which is coming in July.

In September of last year, we learned that Katie Holmes had gotten herself a man. The man in question was Emilio Vitolo, a restaurateur who was engaged to another woman when he began dating Katie. Soon his fiancee was out on her ass, and Emilio and Katie were pap-strolling their way through the pandemic. They wandered around New York, wearing masks and holding hands. They wore good coats and terrible clown pants. All was well. But back in January, cracks began to form in the pandemic romance. Sources began to whisper that Katie was just having fun with Emilio, that he was just a good time, a place-holder until she went back to work. There were fewer pap strolls and fewer stories about their love. And now people wonder if Emilio and Katie have already started winding things down:
Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr.?s relationship is cooling off, sources tell Page Six. The couple were first spotted together last September and have been joined at the hip while seen canoodling around Manhattan.
However, Holmes has recently been away shooting a new movie, only returning to NYC sporadically. This past weekend, the star was seen in the city as she celebrated her daughter Suri?s 15th birthday ? with Vitolo nowhere to be seen. We?re now told that while Holmes and Vitolo haven?t broken up, things have definitely cooled down.
?Katie has a lot of big priorities in her life ? she?s a single mom, her daughter always comes first and things were moving very fast,? a source said.
This was Holmes? first relationship since splitting with Jamie Foxx in August 2019 after six years together. She is believed to have first met Vitolo at his family?s Soho restaurant Emilio?s Ballato in early 2020. Their romance was ?organic,? a source who knows Holmes previously told us.
Another source who knows the couple added, ?Katie has a lot going on and Emilio is busy working at his restaurant with his dad.?

Well, I?ll say this maybe Katie went into it just wanting to have some fun and romance. She was never out here, telling us that Emilio was ?the one.? We only believed they were super-serious because they were together constantly for months. Maybe it was a typical lustful hookup situation that just fizzled out when they got bored with each other or found something else to occupy their time. No harm, no foul. I mean, except for the fiancee he dumped as soon as someone famous came along.
