LaineyGossip just pointed this is out, and now I can?t stop looking at photos of Jada Pinkett Smith. These photos are from the London premiere of The Karate Kid, where Jada and Will and Willow joined Jaden on the red carpet to support the film. Jaden put his righteous ?fro back into braids (cornrows?) and so it was Jada?s night to debut a new hairstyle. So? is it the new ?total bangs? look that?s throwing off my eyes, or did Jada get something done?
She looks like she?s pained in some of these photos, like she?s not sure how wide to smile. She looks several years younger than she has on red carpets just a few months ago. And oh, yeah, her face looks completely different. Sure, a really different hairstyle could do that. So could some Bo to the ?Tox. So could fillers and other ?non-surgical? means. And then there?s the option I?m learning towards - Jada got her eyes done and had a brow lift, and thus, the new bangs. The bangs hide all little nips and tucks that haven?t quite healed yet. Of course, I could totally be wrong.

Animal activists have taken aim at Janet Jackson for signing on as the new face of fur firm BlackGlama.
The pop superstar was announced as the brand’s new ‘What Becomes a Legend Most?’ spokes model on Thursday and she’ll model high-quality mink items in the ads - and PETA bosses have been quick to react.
Spokeswoman Amanda Schinke says, “It’s amazing what celebrities will do when their careers are on a downslide, but we didn’t think that Janet was this desperate.”
“Surely she knows enough about suffering and unjustified death to recognize that both occur in the production of a fur coat. We are asking her to think again and to donate these stolen skins to be used as bedding for animals orphaned by other human-caused disasters, such as loss of habitat.”

Pink was rushed to hospital in Germany last night after one of her Cirque de Soleil-style Funhouse tour stunts went wrong. The Daily Mail says:
The 30-year-old singer, who is famous for her acrobatic stage routines, fell out of a harness [eight feet] above the stage.
Pink was then rushed off stage and taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The singer quickly took to her Twitter page to reassure fans who were left terrified by the dramatic accident.
She wrote: ‘To all my nurnberg fans- I am so so so sorry to end the show that way.I am embarassed and very sorry. I’m in ambulance now but I will b fine.
Didn’t get clipped in2 harness correctly,drug me off stage, fell in2 barricade. Getting xrays.I hope it at least looked cool!!!

Woohoo, John Stamos is still a rock star, bitches! The extortion case against a man and a woman accused of trying to blackmail John Stamos for $680,000 were found guilty on Thursday, July 15. Stamos even testified about the circumstances (his version) surrounding the incident in which he met Allison Coss, who was 17 years old when she met Stamos in Miami shortly after his split from Rebecca Romijn. Coss and her lawyer/co-conspirator Scott Sippola, were found guilty and could do up to nine years in jail:
A Michigan man and woman were convicted Thursday of trying to extort $680,000 from “Full House” actor John Stamos by threatening to sell compromising photos that prosecutors say didn’t even exist.
Scott Edward Sippola, 31, and Allison Lenore Coss, 24, could face up to nine years in prison for convictions of conspiracy and interstate communications to extort money, said assistant U.S. Attorney Maarten Vermaat. Sentencing is set for October 8.
“The case was made by the fact that these defendants made threats to damage his [Stamos'] reputation in order to have him pay them,” Vermaat said after the verdict in Marquette, Michigan. Jurors deliberated for about five hours Thursday.
According to CNN affiliate WLUC, prosecutors said that Coss and Sippola demanded $680,000 from the television actor or they would sell embarrassing pictures to tabloid publications of Stamos allegedly using drugs.
Vermaat said the defendants sent about 40 e-mails to Stamos threatening to sell the photos. FBI agents got involved and started monitoring Stamos’ e-mail account and “eventually communicated by cellular telephone with the defendants pretending to be Mr. Stamos’ business manager.” Sippola and Coss were arrested in December 2009 at an airport, a pre-arranged drop off spot for the money.
Defense attorney Sarah Henderson alleged at trial that Stamos had a fling with Coss when she was a 17-year-old vacationing on spring break in 2004. Prosecutors said Stamos met Coss during a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They developed a friendship and the two communicated by e-mail occasionally until November 2009, when the actor turned the phohtos matter over to the FBI.
According to WLUC, Coss testified there were several photos depicting Stamos using cocaine. She claimed the actor seemed interested in buying the photos. The actor testified that nothing inappropriate happened at a 2004 spring-break party and, accordingly, he didn’t believe compromising photos existed. Stamos said Thursday he wants to get back to work.
“I would like to thank the court, the FBI and the U.S .Attorney’s office for their swift and efficient dealings in connection with this case,” Stamos said in a statement Thursday afternoon. I am shocked and perplexed how individuals could fabricate so many false stories in an effort to defend a crime. I agreed to be a witness for a federal criminal prosecution and endured countless false accusations about my behavior and appropriateness. The allegations made regarding an inappropriate relationship are completely untrue. These slanderous allegations to smear my reputation were part of their defense to redirect attention away from the federal crime of extortion. There was no hot tub, no drugs, no nudity and nothing sexual in nature involved in my friendship with this woman. They lied about everything from a pregnancy to compromising photos.”
A call by CNN to defense attorney Sarah Henderson was not immediately returned.

What do you want to bet that Stamos gets some work out of this? A nice character arc on one of the CSIs, maybe, or even something more high-brow, like Weeds or Breaking Bad? Because you know what? This whole thing actually helped his reputation. I always thought he was very pretty, but now he seems dangerous and naughty, even if the story about offering cunnilingus and the Jacuzzi, with the strippers and the tittays wasn?t true. Instead of running a good Mel Gibson cover story this week, The National Enquirer decided to just go with a solid ?Whitney Houston is a crackhead? story. This could have been written at any point over the last ten years, but whatever. There?s good dirt in here. Apparently, Whitney?s still heavy into drugs, to the point where she?s more crack smoke than flesh and blood. While Whitney was on tour in Europe, her entourage was pouring thousands of dollars into the local drug communities to support Whitney?s habit:
With Whitney?s drug habit raging out of control, her entourage recruited a drug dealer who sold her $6,000 worth of cocain during a tour stop in June, as eyewitness to the deal told the Enquirer.
Although Whiteny claimed to be drug-free during her interview with Oprah, she was actually high as a kite at the time, said a source. Now an Enquirer investigation has discovered Whitney has spent $6,300 a week on drugs - or $327,600 a year.
?Whitney is a dead woman walking! With the amount of drugs she?s buying, she won?t be able to live long. She?ll be dead in months,? her friend Marlon David told the Enquirer.

The Enquirer goes on to detail Whitney?s various ?health? problems that have hindered her tour, and then there?s this bitchy observation: ?While most people expect a coke addict to be rail thin, Whitney is not. When she was photographed in London, Whitney looked bloated and sported a puffy face - conditions that sources believe are side effects of prescription drugs for her respiratory ailment that cause her to retain water and have a voracious appetite.? Just in case you confused Whitney?s weight gain with her being clean and hungry, I suppose. Just in case you had dreams of Whitney becoming the next Aretha Franklin, some big, beautiful woman who is all about the voice and the fabulous hats.
There?s also an interesting story about a drug buy in Denmark, allegedly witnessed by this Marlon David person, who is identified as a ?party promoter?. According to David, in a very long-winded story, Whitney?s people called a Swiss drug dealer and offered him $6,000 to bring 200 grams of coke into Denmark so that Whitney could ?party?. The dealer took the train - and it took 13 hours! Ugh, I?m sure there was a local dealer, Whit. The dealer, speaking to David, said that Whitney ?was about 60 pounds overweight, her clothes were frayed, and she talked in a whisper.? I?d be talking in a whisper too, if I had to wait 13 hours for my dealer to arrive. But seriously this story is really sad. They just go on and on about all of the drugs Whitney is buying and using and how everyone thinks she?s going to die soon.

LeAnn was attacked roundly on Twitter, and she made it all about how she was the victim, of course. She announced dramatically that she was quitting Twitter (she announced on Twitter) to ?focus on her healing?. Well, you can?t keep a good famewhore down, because one week later, LeAnn is back, and she?s brought her overshare:

Just a week ago, Rimes dramatically declared that she was “taking a break from twitter for a while…It’s unhealthy for me and my family to have to read negative comments from people who’s [sic] opinions have no bearing on my life.”
Rimes had been blasted by Twitter followers for paparazzi shots of her smooching beau Eddie Cibrian while his young son looked on. “Since when is kissing your boyfriend a crime?!” she retorted. She and Cibrian famously began their romance in late 2008 on the set of a Lifetime flick — while they were both still married to other people.

Hard at work up north of the border, Katie Holmes was spotted enjoying a little downtime with Suri Cruise in Toronto, Canada on Thursday (July 15).
The mother/daughter duo both looked darling, with Katie in full costume/makeup as she was on break from filming scenes for a brand new project called "The Kennedy's".
Earlier in the day, Miss Holmes looked casual cute in a grey and white sleeveless top with a big black brimmed hat to block the summer sun.
As for the project, "The Kennedy's" is being produced for the History Channel as an eight-hour miniseries.
With Katie portraying Jackie O, she's joined by Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy and Barry Pepper as Robert Kennedy.

Hard at work on yet another new project, Katherine Heigl was spotted keeping busy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Thursday (July 15).
The former "Grey's Anatomy" beauty is in the steel city filming the Julie Anne Robinson directed comedic thriller titled "One For The Money."
With Miss Heigl dressed like a Jersey Guidette, she happens to be playing an unemployed lingerie buyer turned bail bondswoman named Stephanie Plum in the novel turned film.
During the course of the day's shoot, Katherine - who reportedly gave up smoking when she adopted her baby - was spotted puffing on what looked to be an electronic cigarette while running through her lines.
Fans of Miss Heigl have a bit of a wait for this one, as "One For the Money" is slated to be released at an undecided date in 2012.

On the career front, Hil currently has two projects in the works - as she stars in both "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" and "The Gift Horse".
