Turn the “Cringe Meter” up to 11: John Mayer is writing love songs about his romance with Jennifer Aniston. I sure hope this is just John messing with the media like that stunt he pulled with Perez Hilton. Star Magazine is reporting that Aniston wrote Mayer a love poem over the holidays that he has put to music and recorded just for her. He surprised her with the song during their post-holiday trip to Mexico and had the “Friends” star blubbering. Must. Hold. Back. Vomit.
Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are making sweet music together — literally!
Jen wrote John a poem for Christmas, and as a surprise New Year’s gift, he recorded it as a song.
“He changed it a little bit to make it more lyrical,” an insider reveals. “But it’s all John Mayer style, so it sounds good.”
“Lucky in love, lucky in love,” the song begins. “Didn’t forget me when I asked you to leave me.” (Guess that clarifies who dumped whom!) It continues, “Didn’t forget me/ Now you’re alongside me/ You’ve brought luck to love/ I’ve been hit by a truck in love.”
John surprised Jen with the tune during their trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, over New Year’s. A source says Jen broke down in tears of joy.
“She said, ‘It was only a little something I wrote down for you, and you made it beautiful.’ And then she joked, ‘Do I get the publishing rights?’ ”
It was a special moment, but this kind of creative collaboration is par for the course in their relationship, another source reveals. “Jennifer and John are always writing poems for each other. Because they are often apart, it’s their way of staying in touch and keeping things romantic.”

The most laughable line from this entire article is this one: “But it’s all John Mayer style, so it sounds good.” Oh, really? I’d say that the words “John Mayer style” and “good” don’t even belong in the same sentence.
No word on whether the Aniston-penned song will be released to the general public, but if it does exist it probably will be released and make a bunch of cash. Yes, the lyrics to this alleged song are atrocious, but they aren’t any worse that Mayer’s own hit songs. This is a guy who repeats the phrase “Say what you need to say” approximately 40 times in that stupid song he did for that movie “The Bucket List.” I’d say Jen’s words are actually an improvement - as long as she wasn’t the one who came up with the “hit by a truck” line.

OK Magazine has come down hard on Britney Spears, claiming she traded her kids for her career comeback. The mag says that because of her past erratic behavior, Britney wasn?t able to get insurance for her upcoming concert tour unless she remained under her dad?s conservatorship. Brit agreed to it, but in doing so she also had to stop pursuing her custody case for her sons. Because Britney?s under a conservatorship, she?s legally considered a child, so she can?t get custody. OK! frames it like Britney made a selfish decision.
But it’s no secret that, as she starts to climb back to the top, there are sacrifices she’s had to make along the way ? specifically, spending less time with her two adorable sons, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2. Now, OK! has learned exclusivly [sic] the extraordinary price the singer is paying for her comeback, voluntarily giving up the fight to regain custody of her boys in exchange for fame.
Last fall, as her upcoming concert tour was being organized, Brit’s camp discovered that because of the star’s history, they could not purchase insurance to cover her tour unless she was still under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears. Until that point, the plan was for the conservatorship to be lifted on Dec. 31, followed by Britney, 27, heading to family court with a petition to regain custody of Preston and Jayden.
But an insider tells OK!, “The insurance situation changed everything.” And so, on Oct. 28, the singer agreed to indefinitely accept her father as her conservator ? a decision which meant she would still legally be considered a child. No judge would give her custody of her kids, nor would her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, agree to it.
“Whether it was her decision or whether she was pressured into it, Britney’s deal with the devil put the tour ahead of the kids,” the insider tells OK!.

I?m really not sure Britney made a deal with the devil, or whatever overly-dramatic way they want to put it. Yes the conservatorship is indefinite, but that doesn?t mean permanent. If she keeps going on the successful track she?s been on, it?s safe to assume Britney will be able to eventually work her way back to her old professional reputation and be able to be insured without her dad. And likely end the conservatorship and work on getting custody of her sons again.
She was in a tough situation, and obviously a tour is important for her career comeback. It?s clear Britney doesn?t do well when she?s not busy working, so it seems like it?s to everyone?s benefit that she tour. Who knows ? considering the pace at which she?s been improving, she might be able to get out from the conservatorship and start working on getting custody of Sean and Jayden in a relatively short time.

This is a boycott I can get behind. Supermodel and mom Cindy Crawford recently said that she’s implemented a ban on Disney’s hit show “Hannah Montana” because she says it’s been teaching her seven-year-old some bad habits- namely, talking back to her mom.
Cindy Crawford has banned her daughter from watching Hannah Montana.
The supermodel believes Kaya, 7, will become “sassy” if she starts watching the Miley Cyrus-starring Disney show.
Cindy says, “I love Hannah Montana, but she (daughter) learns to be sassy from that show.
“I’ll say to her, ‘I don’t let anyone talk to me like that. I’ll certainly not take it from a seven year old in my own house.’”

My daughter has been banned from watching the show too - but for different reasons. First, it’s the most annoying children’s show on TV. Not since “Barney and Friends” has a show tortured me so much. Second, I just can’t stand all the hype and commercialism surrounding the show. Hannah Montana has become a public commodity - her toothy grin is on everything from cereal boxes and backpacks to string cheese and toothpaste- and it doesn’t stop there. There are dolls, CDs, and that 3D movie. I just don’t want my daughter getting sucked into that and becoming a consumer slave to the Hannah Montana Empire. Every time she asked me for some Hannah merchandise, all I could think was, “This is contributing to the Billy Ray Cyrus Hair Weave Fund!”
I really don’t think Miley Cyrus is much of a role model for my kid. I’d rather have her idolize someone who isn’t a phony. I think we all know where “little miss innocent” is heading with the 20-year-old boyfriend, slutty photos and massive bank account, don’t we? Yeah. Destination: Britney.

Shortly after Will Ferrell left Saturday Night Live, and a several months after the Iraq War started, I read an interview with Ferrell that has always stuck with me. Ferrell was taking about how much he missed SNL and being able to spoof the president on a weekly basis. He then recalled Bush?s famous ?Mission Accomplished? speech, where Bush was wearing that flight suit, the incident only a few months old at the time. Ferrell said (and I?m paraphrasing), ?I thought, that?s it! From here on out, every time anyone does an impression of Bush, he should wear the flight suit and stand under a ?Mission Accomplished? banner. Bush going out to eat, in the flight suit. Bush standing in the Oval Office, in the flight suit.?
To say that Ferrell has genius-level comedy instincts is an understatement. Now it seems that Ferrell is going to play perhaps his greatest character one last time. Will Ferrell will be playing George W. Bush in “You’re Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush”, a Broadway show that plays February through March. The stage show will also air on HBO.
Will Ferrell, the man who invented “strategery” and other Bushisms, is taking his spoofs of the 43rd president to Broadway and HBO.
The “Saturday Night Live” veteran will star in “You’re Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush” at New York’s Cort Theater, with previews in line for Inauguration Day.
The show will take a chronological look at Bush’s life — from his college days and time as the governor of Texas to the 2000 race for president and his two terms in office. Ferrell, who poked fun at the president with his successful impersonations on “SNL,” told CNN he likes that Bush “never thinks he’s wrong.”
“He’s arrogant with a school-boy attitude, and combine that with the fact that he is commander in chief — and, unfortunately, it’s very funny.”
He says viewers should “expect the unexpected” from the show — and some goofy nicknames, something Bush is known to dole out to members of his administration. The show will premiere on February 5 and run through March 15. HBO has also picked up the show, to air live on an undetermined date.

Will Ferrell?s George W. Bush was and is a thing of beauty - he?s the only comedian to really give the ?character? of Bush the needed pathos, snark, silliness and oblivion. I was happily surprised when Ferrell returned on one of the Thursday night SNL mini-episodes, before the presidential election, to play Bush to Tina Fey?s Sarah Palin. I tend to think that Ferrell should have done this show a few months ago, but perhaps the timing is apt. By February, President Obama will be in office, but Bush’s legacy will still be affecting the world for decades to come.

Pete Wentz has always been the kind of guy who?s open with reporters and shares the type of things most would want to keep private. He freely offers up honest answers even when they?re unflattering. A great example is a recent interview he gave to Blender magazine, in which he said he pops Ambien like Skittles and can take a ton of Xanax without it affecting him.
On a personal level, Pete Wentz is on top of the world as hubby to pop princess Ashlee Simpson and dad to their first child, Bronx Mowgli. Professionally, his band Fall Out Boy continues to rock. But all of that doesn?t mean the 29-year-old is all smiles.
Wentz recently turned up to a breakfast interview at the Beverly Hills Hotel for the upcoming issue Blender Magazine (which hits stands nationwide on Jan. 13) half-an-hour late, reportedly looking worse-for-wear with dark circles around his eyes and a jaundiced-like pale complexion.
He told the reporter that he is lucky to get three hours sleep per night and “pops Ambien like Tropical Skittles.”? ?I can take three Xanax bars and not feel a thing. It?s kind of scary,” he added.
Wentz was also overheard by another diner discussing his extreme paranoia and his confrontation with an intruder a few nights earlier. We?re told the bassist was in his kitchen when he saw a man in the security monitor scaling the fence, prompting him to run outside. Wentz claimed the intruder then hopped in his car and sped off, smashing the Range Rover on the way.
According to a Pete pal, the musician?s health is causing a little concern. “He?s always been very hard-working and creative but with the band and the baby and everything that?s going on he?s probably rundown,” said the source.

It?s interesting that Fox says he has extreme paranoia and that he ?claimed the intruder then hopped in his car and sped off,? as though they?re doubtful about the accuracy of the story.
Pete?s pill popping sounds like it could be a big problem. When you can take a bunch of Ambien and Xanax and it doesn?t have much effect on you, then you?ve probably built up quite a tolerance to them. People seem to think Ambien is no big deal because it?s ?just? a sleeping pill. But it is a dangerous drug, and it needs stronger warnings. The FDA is trying to get the labels changed to reflect the multiple dangerous side effects of the drug, which include sleep eating, sleep driving, sleep phone calls, and sleep sex. It is NOT a pill to pop like candy. Pete?s got a wife and baby, and it sounds like it?s time for him to take some of these health issues more seriously.

Despite what many say, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt do seem to have some kind of family plan. Angelina has made statements about how both of her pregnancies were planned, and that the adoptions of Zahara (in 2005) and Pax (in 2007) were done with an eye towards balancing out their growing brood. Now reports are coming through that Brad and Angelina intend to adopt again, most likely returning to Zahara?s birth place of Ethiopia to adopt a little girl.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are planning to introduce another addition to their bustling family, according to a new report. The couple - who have three biological children and three adopted children - are said to be jet setting over to Ethiopia at the end of January to finalise the paperwork.
A source tells Grazia magazine, “Brad and Angelina have seen pictures of a two-year-old girl they’d love to adopt.
“If everything goes to plan, Angelina will file papers in person in the capital city of Addis Ababa in the New Year and they will pick up their new daughter two days later.
“Angelina gets a kick from saving kids and giving them this amazing life they would have never had otherwise.
“Yes they might be adding to their family fast but they want all their kids to be roughly the same age so they do the nanny stage and get it over and done with.
“Another kid in the house will make no difference to the noise and chaos they already have.”

Do they only adopt in odd-numbered years now? Angelina has been talking about adopting from Africa again so that Zahara would have a sibling who looked like her, and to give their family some racial balance. That?s what makes me think there could be some truth to this report. Even though I think it?s a little crazy to adopt a new child when they have two 7-month old babies, I?ve heard parents say that once they have three children, increasing the number really doesn?t matter. Something like ?just throw another kid onto the pile,? said with a wink and a nod.

Talking about how Britney Spears’ preparation for her first arena tour in five years is getting off to a rocky start, Us Weekly via MSNBC says it’s because she’s talentless and lazy. They don’t come outright and say it, but you can tell that’s what they’re getting at when they write stuff like “Spears’ work ethic isn’t quite up to par” and “she didn’t want him [choreographer Wade Robson] to see that she’s not as good as she used to be.”
Don’t worry though. Lack of talent and work ethic has never deterred Britney before so why should it now. She plans to soldier on even if her stubby legs turn a 1-2-step into a 1-2-fall-off-the-stage-and-get-a-concussion. Hopefully the new dance team she hired and drug tested will distract the audience while EMTs check for a pulse and internal bleeding.

The latest Madonna Louis Vuitton ad has made its way online, a seamless blend of vintage glamour and gritty film noir sexuality (click banner pic for full-size). Of course, I’m presuming “film noir” is French for “from inside the seventh circle of hell.” I don’t know because I don’t speak the language of surrender, as it were. But Frog or not, you have to admit that Louis sure knows what he’s doing. Nothing makes me think “leather bag” like a 50-year old woman’s hoo-ha. Except maybe a catcher’s mitt that’s been left out in the rain or an old bean bag chair that’s been partially deflated and trampled by children, but those things just don’t have the same kind of artistic resonance.

The Super Bowl will air on NBC on February 1st, but before lots and lots of us tune into watch the big game NBC’s sister network USA is going to air three Super Bowl themed episodes!
BURN NOTICE kicks it off on Thursday, January 29 at 10/9c in “Hot Spot” when Michael (Jeffrey Donovan), Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) and Sam (Bruce Campbell) pose as a gang of ruthless car thieves to stop a thug who is threatening a local high school football star. Meanwhile, Fiona and Michael track down the man responsible for the explosion at Michael’s loft. Former Dallas Cowboy and University of Miami Hurricane and football great, Michael Irvin makes a special guest appearance as the local football coach.
On Friday, January 30 at 9/8c, MONK suits up to play in “Mr. Monk Makes the Playoffs,” when Monk (Tony Shalhoub) scores tickets to the biggest football game of the year, but he and Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) can’t go inside until they figure out who tried to blow up a fan in the parking lot. Famed sports announcer Bob Costas stops by.
Immediately following on PSYCH, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill) are drafted in, the appropriately titled, ?Any Given Friday at 10/9c,? when the guys sign up for training camp after the foot of a professional football kicker is discovered. Mykelti Williamson (?Forest Gump?) joins this episode as a special guest star.
I can’t wait to see all of those episodes!

W Magazine interviewed an older and grayer Brad Pitt. and asked him about the “uncool” comment Jennifer Aniston gave regarding Angelina and Brad’s hook-up on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
?Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart,? Pitt says, as if to settle this thing once and for all. ?I think she got dragged into that one, and then there?s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It?s so created.?
He then remembers Angelina will kick his ass if he doesn’t defend her.
?What people don?t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year,? he explains. ?We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn?t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn?t. I?m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that?s all.?
Brad is right. I mean, can it even be called an affair if all you did was stick it in her butt and finish in her mouth? I don’t think so. Get off his back, guys.

In an attempt to quell those divorce rumors and maybe make it more shocking when they announce their split via duet after Valentine’s day, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez have been on vacation in Puerto Rico since after Christmas. Sources say that they’re even thinking about purchasing property at Trump’s International Golf Club Puerto Rico and that they had a “cozy dinner together at Marmalade restaurant in Old San Juan.” Their reps say they’re “great.” Maybe too great.
PEOPLE says “they’ve been having problems” which is normal when two people are raising 10-month-old twins together. “The marriage is experiencing frustrations because of the added stress of the twins,” says another source familiar with the situation, “but they will work things out. They love each other, and that will dictate what happens. I don’t think divorce is in the picture.”
Can two people possibly be any more annoying? According to Lopez and Anthony, yes, in fact, they can. Expect a lot of stories before Valentine’s day that paints a happy picture of the couple. A few magazines might even draw little cartoon hearts and blue jays circling around their heads in their issues. Then, bam. Jennifer and Marc split up by singing to each other. Wow. We never saw that coming. You set us up pretty good there Marc and Jennifer. I presume congratulations are in order. Here, have this. It’s my fist in your face.
Then again, I could be all wrong about this, but I’d still like them to have my present.

There have been rumors for some time that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are having marriage problems. Allegations of infidelity, the push and pull of careers and even the requisite ?gay? rumors for both have all been mentioned. Now that beacon of truth, Star magazine, is reporting that Sarah Jessica Parker is moving out of their shared home, and is actively searching for an apartment.
The beloved Sex and the City superstar has begun house hunting in New York City ? solo! In the Jan. 19 issue of Star, we report that while Sarah thought she could make it work with her straying mate, she recently visited a midtown real estate broker to help her find her own place.
“The time has come when she realizes it just isn’t worth it,” a friend of the couple tells Star. “Sarah Jessica is determined to get her own place and bring down the curtain on her marriage.”
Adds another insider: “Sarah’s not stupid. She knows exactly what’s going on. For a while it was easier for her to stay than go through a harsh divorce. They’re essentially living separate lives.”
Now that the holidays are over, the actress is revisiting her exit strategy, which takes into careful consideration the couple’s 6-year-old son, James Wilkie ? just about the only thing holding the pair together.
“They spent the holidays with him, pretending to be happy,” says another source. “SJP is a great actress when she has to be!”

But the steady stream of negativity about the Parker-Broderick marriage has been flowing for a while. Could it be that two working actors with a young son are simply going through a rough patch? Or is it something worse? To make matters even more confusing, after the holidays SJP was photographed with a bit of a ?holiday belly?, so there?s been a lot of gossip that she?s knocked up again. Oh, the Uncool Bermuda Triangle, will it ever end? Not while there?s still breath left in a gossip columnist, it won?t. Brad Pitt sat down with W magazine to talk about his film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, his partner Angelina and their kids, and of course, the ex-wife. Brad, per usual, does a half-decent job defending both his ex and his current partner. He refers to Aniston as ?a sweetheart? and insinuates that yes, Vogue was ?tabloid? (Aniston?s words) by emphasizing the whole ?uncool? comment. Brad saves his sweetest words for the mother of his children though, agreeing with Angelina?s previous ?uncool? statement that she wants their kids to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith to see the film where their parents fell in love. Brad says, ?We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”

CB wanted me to mention that Brad continued the Uncool Bermuda Triangle with his recent interview to the Los Angeles Times, saying that his life was ?a dead end? before fatherhood and before Angelina. Even though my first thought when I read that piece was that Brad was referring to life with Aniston as a ?dead end?, it?s open to multiple interpretations. I interpret Brad?s actions and words post-Aniston-Vogue interview as all about defending Angelina and their family, as he should. Of course his words will be analyzed and re-worked to suit everyone?s agendas. But I?ve never been one to mind - I like both Brad and Angelina in interviews, and this Benjamin Button press tour has been one of Brad?s best.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have welcomed another girl, their rep confirms. The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles and is healthy.
A smiling Garner was spotted being wheeled on a roll-away hospital bed as she was taken to her room. A blanket was draped over her, and it appeared that she was holding the baby.
Well, here’s hoping that the newest Garner-Affleck looks less like the bastard child of The Hamburglar and Chrissy from “Three’s Company.” Surely nature wouldn’t be so cruel as to deal the jack-o-lantern genes twice!

Jennifer Garner has finally given birth to her second child with Ben Affleck. The baby girl was born on Tuesday and both mother and baby are doing well. The baby’s name has not been released to the public yet, but we should be hearing soon.
With Violet Affleck, their three-year-old, voted the cutest celebrity baby several times, magazines are certainly going to be clamoring to get the first shots of her little sister. The Afflecks didn’t sell the first photographs of Violet to a celebrity magazine, so it’s doubtful they’ll be posing for photos with their second child. They didn’t even officially announce the pregancy until it was obvious.
Garner confirmed the pregnancy in August after joking, “Oh, I’m not pregnant. I just had a lot of carbs for breakfast. It’s just - what do they call it - a breakfast pouch.”
“It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she?’ ‘Isn’t she?’ It’s like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute,” she said in the interview with Access Hollywood, adding: “We’re so excited, obviously.”

This family seems so normal. Although they haven’t been hitting the red carpet lately, with Jennifer focusing on being a mom and Ben directing rather than acting, it may be their outwardly perfect life that has kept them in the tabloids. That and the adorable Violet.

In September there was a mild controversy over an incident in which cops used a young attractive woman in sunglasses who was departing the same plane as Jamie Lynn Spears to divert paparazzi away from the star. Jamie Lynn Spears and her newborn baby Maddie left the airport from the tarmac while the other woman was used as a decoy. There was an internal investigation at the LAX police department afterwards as cops had acted out of order by providing special services for a celebrity.
The woman who served as the fake Jamie Lynn Spears is demanding a $2 million settlement from the LAX police department under threats that she’ll sue. Adessa Eskridge says through her lawyer that she was whisked away by police once she got off the plane and had no idea what was going on. She was then surrounded by paparazzi and had her face plastered all over the news and the Internet. Eskridge claims that her privacy was also invaded as her name, phone number and address were leaked to some reporters who actually contacted her. She likens it to a false arrest and claims she suffered “great humiliation” after the “demeaning and traumatic ordeal.” She’s willing to deal with it though, if the LAX police department coughs up $2 million for her pain and suffering:
I represent Adessa Eskridge… On September 10, 2008 by client was singled out by the LAX police to be part of a ruse to protect Jamie Lynn Spears. We are not yet aware of whether or not Ms. Spears or her agents were involved in the ruse. Our client was not given any details as to the nature of the task or of the potential danger involved. She simple followed the instructions of the police as most good citizens would do.
Ms. Eskridge had no idea and was never informed that upon deplaning, she would be mobbed by the paparazzi, that she would be in fear of her well-being, that her picture would be taken, that video of her would be all over the world wide web as well as being played and replayed on TMZ…
She was deceived and manipulated by the LAX-PD and suffered and continues to suffer great humiliation. Since this demeaning and traumatic ordeal ensured, our cilent’s name and identity, phone number and home address has been leaked to some media outlets. She has been contacted by members of the media demanding an explanation of her “role” in the ruse and her connection with the Spears family, among other things…
Our client intends to file a lawsuit if this matter is not resolved satisfactorily. At this time, she is willing to consider a reasonable and fair settlement that fully compensates her for the humiliation, fear and harassment that she has been subjected [sic] at the hands of LAX-PD. It is demanded that LAX-PD pay the sum of $2,000,000.

I understand that sometimes the only way to get things done in the US is to threaten to sue, but $2 million is hardly “reasonable and fair.” Maybe they set the figure high and are hoping for six figures at least. Cops shouldn’t have grabbed this woman without her consent and it was wrong that they forced her to go through this scenario without telling her what was going on. It was blip on the media radar though and surely this woman is making her brief exposure to the public worse by suing. Maybe she’ll get some cash out of it though and won’t have to work for a while.

You can see Drew falling for someone and hoping he returns her affections. She’s a woman who seems like she’s in love with the idea of being in love and throws herself fully into a new relationship. Once the spark wears off, though, she has trouble sticking around and weathering the inevitable issues that come up. She was way too revealing with the press in her last relationship with Justin Long and the next time she gets in a serious relationship she’ll hopefully keep it closer to her chest. Maybe Connelly isn’t that “into” her, or maybe Drew is just super flirty and hoping for a good time.

Hands-on single father Ricky Martin is said to love fatherhood so much that he’s hoping to adopt a baby girl. Martin has five month old boy twins Matteo and Valentino who were born through a surrogate mother. The 37 year-old singer is reported to be in the process of adopting a daughter from Puerto Rico and has plans to bring her home this summer.
According to a pal, [Ricky Martin is] now planning to adopt a girl from his native Puerto Rico in 2009. “Ricky loves his sons more than anything in the world, but he’s always wanted to have a daughter, too,” his friend explains. “He’s already started the process and hopes to have baby number three by June.”

Martin told People Magazine in early December that he doesn’t have a nanny or any help and is enjoying the process of raising the babies on his own. He explained that he does have a personal assistant to help with his own needs, but that he loves taking care of the infants and added “I don?t want to miss a moment.”
Martin has not addressed speculation about his orientation and there has been some mild criticism from conservatives who question his motivation for raising children on his own. Given the way he bragged to People about how great his kids are you can see that he was just thrilled to be a dad. He said “Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing.”
Congratulations to Martin and if this story is true he’ll soon have another little blessing in his house.

Will Smith thrilled fans at the Berlin premiere of Seven Pounds on Tuesday night by shaking hands and signing autographs in the freezing cold. Smith has received a lot of praise for his friendliness and patience with fans and last night was no exception. Our neighbors’ sons went to the premiere and said that Smith took the time to shake everyone’s hand and sign a book for them. They were thrilled to meet the star and had a lot of fun. It was just 9 F last night in Berlin last night. Good for Smith for braving the cold to greet fans!
Smith, Rosario Dawson and Gabriel Muccini also posed by a snowy Brandenburg gate earlier in the day. Presidential elect Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of over 200,000 just down the street from that location in July. We may see see Smith play Obama on film at some point in the near future. Obama himself joked to Entertainment Tonight that he’d spoken to Smith about it, saying “Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears!” Smith is an Obama supporter and told Oprah after the election that he was hugging his family and crying when Obama won. Given Obama’s historic victory and popularity, we may see a dramatized account of his life sooner rather than later.
Seven Pounds has not received the best reviews and is generally considered a real downer of a film with a complicated plot. It’s about a man who is suicidal and decides to change the lives of seven strangers to amend for his role in a tragedy. The film was released on December 19 in the US and has grossed $62 million worldwide. It’s done passably at the box office and is not likely to diminish from Smith’s massive draw.
Smith was just named 2008’s top grossing movie star and from the way he works the crowd with a smile you can’t help but think he’s earned it.

Given their extremely over the top lifestyle, they need a large staff for the three days they’ll be in Columbia to help them feel at home. Their entourage requires 10 armored cars and includes four nannies and four bilingual assistants to the nannies:
On their list of needs? 10 armored cars, 4 nannies, 4 assistants to the nannies (who, upon request, have to be bilingual and college educated), one enormous security detail that has already been staking out Cartagena since last week, one chef ?de su confianza? (in case someone tries to poison them?) who will be required to collaborate with the hotel?s staff chef in order to come up with tasty treats for the family, and one entire floor of the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena.
One might ask how long Marc and Jenny are planning on staying in Colombia, since it looks like they?ll be traveling with a small army. You?ll all be very happy to know that they will be spending a grand total of?3 days in Cartagena.

Maybe this happy couple needs four nannies and 10 armored cars so they don?t have to travel together though. Can you believe these two have been together four and a half years? How much longer do you think they’ll last? Then again, maybe spoiled spendaholics stick together. Rihanna, one pop star who is never far from a leotard, is going to have to cover up for a concert in Malaysia on February 13th. The Muslim country?s laws dictate that a female performer has to be covered from the shoulders to the knees. The wardrobe from her ?Good Girl Gone Bad? tour is going to have to go through a major overhaul in order to comply with decency regulations. Multiple female acts have visited the country recently, and have had to cover up in order to comply with the decency law:

Lavigne “too sexy?” Her concert was canceled but then miraculously approved by the government back in August. Maybe they realized that her only offense was the quality of her songs. Rihanna, whose act is decidedly more risque, hasn’t been canceled yet. Unlike Lavigne, she probably didn’t give the government any attitude.
Although it?s sad that there are still places in the world where the government can regulate your wardrobe, it?s refreshing to see a performer that’s willing to work with the regulations instead of fighting them. Unlike the Pussycat Dolls, who didn?t even bother trying to edit their wardrobe, Rihanna is willing to change her act to comply with the law. She doesn?t seem to be complaining about it either.
My only question is whether or not she?ll have to change her actual act. Government regulations also include no jumping or kissing on stage. There’s undoubtedly a lot of gyrating going on in Rihanna’s dance routines, and if jumping is a no no, sexy dance moves probably aren’t okay either. A wardrobe change might be a start, but hip thrusts can be just as provocative in long skin-tight pants as in a bikini.

Jennifer Garner popped out another baby girl Tuesday afternoon. This is her and husband Ben Affleck’s second daughter. Their first, Violet, was born in December 2005. No further information was given, but considering what they named their first daughter, history dictates this one will be named either Hot Pink, Fuschia or Katy. Also, no word on whether or not she was born with an extra appendage or a tail but the general consensus is that it would be pretty freakin’ sweet if she was.
