He?s quite the diverse actor and Ryan Reynolds is gearing up for some comic book craziness with his upcoming project.
Following his role in the 2009 flick ?X-Men Origins: Wolverine,? the ?Van Wilder? actor took to his Twitter account to let fans know his ?Deadpool? spinoff is in the works.
Ryan tweeted a photo of his character?s face along with the caption, ?Uh? It?s Chimichanga Time,? and everyone went wild.
Fox Studios is said to be in talks with Marvel Films and they?re close to closing the deal, at which point Ryan will be back in action.

I?m about to say something sort of nice about Kim Kardashian, prepare yourselves: she actually looks pretty good here? Right? I mean, this outfit isn?t what I would have chosen for her, but considering her usual red carpet catastrophes, this is decent-to-good. These pics are from last night?s Paper Magazine dinner party in Miami, at Art Basel. Kim?s ensemble is made up of a Thierry Mugler tube top, a J. Mendel skirt, and Tom Ford gold heels. If I need to nitpick about anything, it?s that the shades of black between the skirt and tube top are distractingly different. And that Kim shouldn?t wear tube tops as a rule.
Kim also Instagrammed a photo of North with Sofia Pippin. Sofia is the daughter of Larsa Pippin, one of Kim?s close friends. It?s a cute pic and it was apparently taken in Miami. So North actually got to travel with her mommy this time! Yay. Also: there?s a rumor going around Miami that Kanye West is going to drop a new album today or this weekend too. Is Kanye even in Miami for Art Basel?

When I covered some of these Swifty photos earlier this week, I noticed (but didn?t say anything) that she seemed especially small in the pics. Swifty has always been a long, lean girl ? she?s all arms and legs, and she really does have a model-type figure. But in these photos? yeah, she looks like she?s lost some weight. Considering she?s been on the promotional trail to shill her album, one theory might be that she?s simply under a lot of stress, plus she?s really busy, thus she?s lost some weight. Another theory might be this Star Mag story. ?Sources? claim that Swifty has actually been trying to slim down to a ?sub-zero?.

?Taylor has always had the appetite of a sparrow, but ever since she moved to New York she?s become fixated on her body image. She used to be a size zero, but she?s dropped down to a sub-zero. Her frame looks so fragile these days? it?s to the point where thigh is hardly thicker than her calf muscle.?
Factors contributing to 24-year-old Taylor?s increasingly skeletal physique are numerous ? from the bad influences in her social circle to her own dangerous mind-set ? but it doesn?t seem like anyone in her inner circle cares to confront her about it.
It?s all about the image: ?Taylor?s terrified of looking fat in a picture, so her way of dealing with that is to be underweight? but the really worrying thing is how much emphasis she puts on food. She?s always talking about her baking and stocking her pantry with fresh muffins and bagels, but she never eats a bite of it. It?s all for her guests ? so can give the image of someone who eats a lot.?

Judging from the photos of Swifty leaving her NYC gym, I?ve never really thought she was breaking a sweat with her workouts anyway. I think she just goes to the gym for the photo-op, because she wants to be seen as a cool, normal New York girl who goes to the gym. As for the ?living on salads and coffee? thing? could be. It could be that all of the cookie-baking is all for show. I don?t know though. My instinct is to defend her, mostly because I think she?s always had and always will have that long and lean body type, and she has been stressed lately. Cut her some slack!

Blake Lively has been all over the place this week, but this is the first time we?ve had photos of her in a while. Blake was spotted leaving a NYC hotel yesterday. Which is weird, because she and Ryan own an apartment in NYC? Maybe she was at the hotel on business. As for her look in these photos ? I like that coat. And I like that she?s wearing pants, because a month ago, she was going through a weird maternity-minidress phase and I feared some pregnant ?Marilyn Moments? from her.
People have also been discussing Blake?s hair a lot lately. Apparently, she stopped dying it blonde when she got pregnant, so she has long, dark roots coming in, which you can see in these photos. THR even wrote an article about it, seriously. They spoke to ?L?Oreal celebrity hair colorist Kari Hill,? who said: ?Blake has decided to not color her hair at all, thus growing out her darker roots.? Hill suggests that Blake try some highlights so that her dark roots blend in with the double-process blonde she had pre-pregnancy. You can read more here. Granted, I?ve never been pregnant, but I thought the general consensus was that most hair dyes are safe to use while pregnant? Or is it different for blondes?
Blake has also been giving some interviews, although none of the quotes are very interesting (to me). Blake told People Mag that her mom is her icon of working motherhood, etc. Blake also spoke to the Daily Mail about Christmas stuff.
Meanwhile, word is that Blake?s husband Ryan Reynolds will be playing Deadpool. Filming starts in March? I wonder when Blake is due. My guess is still January/February.

Lady Gaga was the 2013 face of Versace. Her ads were totally blah ? Gaga looked like a less death-eater version of Donatella Versace. Gaga spent most of last year trying to promote the brand, with pretty awful results. Gaga either looked like Lana del Rey, or she just looked like Donatella?s twin. So, obviously, Gaga wasn?t the best person to represent the brand. So Donatella replaced Gaga with Madonna for the newest Versace ad campaign. And you know what? I don?t hate these ads at all. The combination of the black-and-white photography and Madonna?s new face works well.
Even after 30 years in the industry, Madonna is still in hot demand. Indeed, Versace has snapped up the 56-year-old to be the face of its SS15 campaign. The iconic pop star replaces Lady Gaga, 28, to front the brand and was chosen because designer Donatella Versace believes she is a ‘true icon’.
The images, which were photographed in New York City by industry heavyweights Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, aim to focus on Madonna?s ‘unique and iconic image’. The campaign was shot to capture the unapologetic and timeless power of Madonna today, according to the luxury fashion house. Of course, Madonna is dressed head-to-toe in pieces from the SS15 Versace collection and showcases her toned body in the imagery.
Speaking about her new role, Madonna said: ‘It?s always exciting to be dressed head-to-toe in Versace and experience first-hand Donatella?s vivid imagination and passion that she has created for this collection.?
Designer Donatella added: ‘Madonna is one of the true icons of Versace. I am thrilled to have my friend and the most powerful and directional artist as the face of Versace for Spring 2015.’
This is the fourth time that Madonna has appeared in Versace?s advertising campaigns; her first was back in 1995.

As I said, I like it. Even though I?m pretty sure Madonna has gone through another round of extensive plastic surgery, I have to say? she finally got some quality work done, at long last. Plus, she?s got great hair in these ads! That?s a really flattering cut and color. Beyond that? it?s just nice to see a 56-year-old woman fronting a major ad campaign. Even if parts of Madonna were barely a glimmer in a plastic surgeon?s eye one year ago.

Mark Wahlberg is one of the most prolific actors working in Hollywood today. He’s not putting out high-brow work (although he considers Transformers to be the most iconic movie franchise ever), but he constantly works. Wahlberg is highly bankable and rewarded for his box-office draw. He works hard and has (personally) overcome his past as a juvenile offender.
Mark may be a devoted family man and super religious dude, but it wasn’t always that way. When Mark was 16 years old, he permanently blinded a man during an assault outside a convenience store. Mark was tried as an adult and served 45 days in prison. That’s a fairly light sentence for such a violent crime. Mark got off easy and got on with life. Two-and-a-half decades later, Mark seeks a pardon for his crime. NBC has Mark’s full pardon petition, in which Mark argues that he’s a changed man who goes to church every day. Mark believes a pardon would inspire other troubled youth to seek redemption through good works. This is very sneaky wording:
Mark Wahlberg is asking Massachusetts to wipe out his decades-out assault conviction, saying that ever since he served time for a 1988 attack that left another man blind in one eye, he has tried to become a “better person and citizen.”
The movie superstar, now 43, has filed an application with the Massachusetts Board of Pardons, hoping to get his criminal record erased. “I am deeply sorry for the actions that I took on the night of April 8, 1988, as well as for any lasting damage that I may have caused the victims,” Wahlberg wrote in his pardon application. “Since that time, I have dedicated myself to becoming a better person and citizen so that I can be a role model to my children and others.”
Wahlberg says in the application, filed Nov. 26, that on April 8, 1988, he tried to steal two cases of alcohol from a man outside a convenience store on Dorchester Avenue, hitting him over the head with a stick and then punching another man in the face as he fled from police.
Though only 16, he was tried as an adult in Dorchester District Court, in the neighborhood where he grew up the youngest of nine children. He was convicted of assault after being charged with attempted murder and other charges, and he served 45 days in prison.
In his pardon application, Wahlberg goes on to say that he has spoken “openly and publicly” about his actions on that night over the past 20-plus years. In his petition, he outlines the incidents that led to his arrest, saying that he attempted to steal two cases of alcohol from a man who was standing outside of a convenience store near his home around 9 p.m. He said he hit the man on the head with a wooden stick, and then ran down the block to evade police. While attempting to avoid police, he said he punched another man in the face.
“I was detained by police a few minutes after that,” Wahlberg wrote. “While I was detained, the police discovered that I had a small amount of marijuana in my back pocket. During the incident, I was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.”
In making his case, Wahlberg cites his involvement with charities and good deeds he has done to rebuild his life, including the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club, the renovation of the Boston-area Parish Gym and the fact that he attends church nearly every day.
“I have not engaged in philanthropic efforts in order to make people forget about my past,” added Wahlberg. “To the contrary, I want people to remember my past so that I can serve as an example of how lives can be turned around and how people can be redeemed.”
“The more complex answer is that receiving a pardon would be a formal recognition that I am not the same person that I was on the night of April 8, 1988,” Wahlberg concluded. “It would be formal recognition that someone like me can receive official public redemption if he devotes himself to personal improvement and a life of good works.”

Technically, it’s possible for Mark to receive a pardon from this crime. The Board of Pardons will consider Mark’s petition and (with or without a public hearing) will decide whether to pass it on to the governor. If the petition meets with the governor’s approval, Mark will still need the governor’s council’s approval. Will he get a pardon? My guess would be “yes.” He probably hired the best attorneys.
Should he get a pardon? Ehhhhh. Mark may have moved on from his past, but his victim doesn’t have a choice about remaining blind in one eye. He’s forever stuck with what Mark did to him. Plus, this pardon will in no way change Mark’s life. He probably wants it for self-validation. This feels like a bucket-list item, sort of how Mark went back to high school and graduated at age 42. That was admirable but also self-serving. Thoughts?

Here is Miley Cyrus performing in Miami to open Art Basel last night. The Miami art extravaganza attracts collectors and artists from all over the world, but it’s safe to say that they did not think the Bangerz singer would be among their ranks.
The set was a mix of her own music and covers of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Johnny Cash. It was described as an ?emotional? appearance as she told the audience that she?s had a challenging year, struggling with the death of her dog, and reassessing some of her choices.
