During Prince William and then-Kate Middleton?s courtship, she made an effort to ?fit in? with William?s lifestyle, including hunting. The Middletons tried to do the same. It didn?t stick Kate never goes on ?shooting weekends? and I doubt she?s picked up a gun in years. There also doesn?t seem to be any effort to introduce the Wales kids into royal blood sports. I?ve mentioned this before, but it?s remarkable to see King Charles completely eschew the kind of ?royal training? that royal grandparents have done for their grandchildren for generations. He was practically raised by his grandmother and his ?uncle? Lord Mountbatten, and he was raised to enjoy hunting, shooting, fishing, deerstalking. He did all of that well into his 40s and 50s. Charles shows zero interest in molding his grandkids in the same way his surrogate father and mother figures raised him. Which means that it?s just William, Kate and Carole, trying to indoctrinate the Wales kids into their weird quasi-royal life. It also means that Kate gets to dictate much more about her kids? upbringing than perhaps any consort before. Well, apparently, Kate has given a firm ?no? to the ?blooding? ritual.
The Princess of Wales has put her foot down to stop her children having to take part in a centuries-old blooding tradition, a new royal book claims. In Yes, Maam ? The Secret Life of Royal Servants, which is out this month, author Tom Quinn revealed that Kate Middleton had insisted that her three kids not take part in an ancient practice.
The ritual sees young royals going shooting and then having their faces smeared with the blood of his or her first kill; either a stag or a fox. But Catherine, who is known to have complicated feelings towards blood sports, was adamant that, Princes George, 11, and Louis, nine as well as Princess Charlotte, six avoid enduring the gory convention.
In an extract obtained by FEMAIL, he recounted: Charless daughter in-law, Catherine, Princess of Wales, has put her foot down and insisted there will be no blooding for her children.
The King himself had gone through the rite as a child, as did his two sons, Princes William and Harry. In his bombshell book, Spare, the Duke of Sussex entailed his experience at the age of 15, after killing a stag on the grounds of Balmoral. Harry described how his stalking guide, Sandy, then bled the animal from its neck and cut into its stomach with a knife before the royals head was pushed into the carcass: ?[He] placed a hand gently behind my neck, and? pushed my head inside the carcass. I tried to pull away, but Sandy pushed me deeper. I was shocked by his insane strength. And by the infernal smell. My breakfast jumped up from my stomach. After a minute I couldnt smell anything, because I couldnt breathe. My nose and mouth were full of blood, guts and a deep, upsetting warmth.

That part of Spare was one of the sickening parts which convinced me that the whole royal family was a huge fking cult. I actually get the idea of smearing an animal?s blood on your face it?s gross, but it makes some kind of sense. But what Harry described was not THAT. Anyway, I would imagine Kate has said no to ?blooding,? just as she?s probably kept the kids away from hunting and guns.

Earlier this month, we got confirmation that David Harbour and Lily Allen have separated. Lily and David met on the celebrity dating app Raya in early 2019 and got married in Vegas in September 2020. Before we heard they had separated, there were rumors that Lily learned that David had reactivated his Raya profile. Lily denied this was the case on an episode of her podcast, Miss Me?, but admitted that she wasn?t in a good place and was ?spiraling,? so she was going to take some time off.
Lily is reportedly ?devastated? by the separation. It has also been really hard on her daughters, Ethel Mary, 13, and Marnie Rose, 12, both of whom were close with their stepfather. As for David, he?s dating a 27-year-old model named Ellie Fallon. You don?t say.
David Harbour has reportedly moved on with a much younger woman after splitting from his estranged wife, Lily Allen. The 49-year-old ?Stranger Things? star?s rumored romance with aspiring model Ellie Fallon, 27, is heating up after they were allegedly spotted on a New Year?s trip to India, according to the Daily Mail.
Insiders told the outlet that Allen is ?very upset? about her ex?s new relationship and was allegedly made aware of it when Fallon shared of photo of herself smoking a cigar from Harbour?s favorite brand via Instagram in October.
?Seeing the picture Ellie posted of herself smoking a cigar, taken weeks before Lily and David called it quits, has convinced her that Ellie and David had been seeing each other before they split,? a source told the Daily Mail.

Fallon and the actor reportedly met in Georgia, where the latter had been staying while filming Season 5 of ?Stranger Things? last year. Per photos obtained by Deumoxi, the rumored couple were photographed together in Georgia on Saturday. The two appeared to rush while walking to two separate vehicles.

Ugh. This also puts that whole ?putting parental controls on each other?s phone? thing in a completely new light for me now. I think most people assumed that this Raya/cheating thing had only been going on for a couple of months because thats when the gossip started. If I?m being generous, it sounds like David was cheating as early as October. (Ellie?s cigar post is from Oct. 27.) He was in Georgia to film Stranger Things for almost a year, so who knows how long they?ve been hooking up. That?s so sh-tty and I feel bad for Lily and her daughters. I hope that Lily is taking care of herself so she can be there for the girls. Also, I can?t help but wonder who tipped the paps and Deumoxi off about David and Ellie being together in Georgia over the weekend and in India for New Year?s. I can?t decide if my money is on Lily?s camp to out them publicly or if Ellie did it to raise her own profile.

Well, the latest is that Blake and Ryan made an appearance at the SNL50 celebration over the weekend. They didn?t just attend the show they did a bit where Amy Poehler and Tina Fey asked Ryan how he was doing and Ryan replied, ?Great, what have you heard?? as Blake looked up at him, stone-faced. I actually understand the image/PR calculation from Ryan and Blake they?re flaunting their A-list status, showing everyone that they are still part of this upper echelon and they can?t be touched by Baldoni or his lawyers. But yeah? it does feel like Blake and Ryan are perhaps doing too much? People Magazine even had yet another exclusive from Team Lively about how she was glad she came out.

Sweet tour, and finished filming the fifth and final season of Stranger Things in December. Next up for MBB is The Electric State, another Netflix movie that?s directed by the Russo Brothers (not to be confused with ST?s the Duffer Brothers) and co-stars Chris Pratt. The Electric State is based on the 2018 graphic novel by Simon Stlenhag that takes place in a post-apocalyptic America. It drops on March 14.

I?m really impressed by Millie?s responses. The answer about the reality of being a ?trad wife? on a farm made me laugh. I don?t have TikTok but I once went down a rabbithole about the trad wife farm thing after seeing a leftie influencer post about it online. Anyway, I really love that she points out that there is a difference between loving someone and being in love. That is something a lot of women struggle to differentiate. It?s also great that she specifically mentioned that she and Jake talked about politics, kids, the type of relationship they?re each looking for, etc. I always assumed that was what everyone did but social media has taught me that its not. Let?s normalize this for the young women in Millie?s generation.
I was worried about her after Stranger Things took off and we heard how demanding her father was as her manager. She seems to have grown up to be relatively grounded, and that makes me happy.

It feels like there?s been an exponential uptick in people using the term ?President Musk? ever since that Oval Office press conference last week. Good, cause it?ll bug the sh-t out of the man Musk bought, Trump. While Musk and his merry band of Hitler Youths at DOGE have already steamrolled their way into accessing sensitive data in the Treasury Department ? and, as of this weekend, possibly the Social Security Administration ? and we have yet to see how that breach will manifest, it is never, never too late to hit Musk in the purse by boycotting his businesses. Sheryl Crow has done just that, revealing on Instagram Friday that she sold her Tesla and was donating the proceeds to NPR, because it was ?under threat by President Musk.? Everyday is a winding road, but if a change would do you good and all you wanna do is have some fun selling off your (least) favorite mistake, then do it, if it makes you happy. And yes, in Sheryl?s video post she does indeed soak up the sun.

Tesla?s CEO Elon Musk is leading the Department of Government Efficiency, which is focused on reducing federal spending under President Donald Trump. The Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, has singled out agencies like the Department of Education and the Federal Aviation Administration in addition to targeting DEI initiatives.
Musk?s presence among Trump?s allies has garnered criticism from Democrats and galvanized rally-goers. Critics have filed several lawsuits opposing the Department of Government Efficiency?s efforts. Musk is simultaneously leading Tesla, which reported its fourth-quarter earnings in January with results falling below Wall Street?s estimates.
In her caption, Crow also said she was donating money to NPR.

NPR has recently drawn political scrutiny from Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and others.
Greene, the chairwoman of the House Oversigt Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, has called the CEOs of NPR and PBS to testify in a March hearing. In her letter to the media agencies, Greene referenced NPR?s coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story and PBS?s coverage of a gesture Musk made during an Inauguration Day event.
The Federal Communications Commission has also set its sights on NPR and PBS. Trump-backed FCC Chairman Brendan Carr ordered an investigation into the media agencies over concerns they could be ?violating federal law by airing commercials,? per a letter obtained by The New York Times.
Carr reposted Crow?s video to his X account on Saturday, along with some commentary.
?I know celebrities are hesitant to weigh in on hot button issues, so I appreciate Sheryl Crow making an argument here?not through words alone, but through her actions?that Congress should not force taxpayers to subsidize NPR. Bravo,? the post said.

It was a Nazi salute, Marjorie, and he made it multiple times (on camera) that day, just in case you want to be more efficient with your wording at the hearings. But getting back to a better blonde: Sheryl Crow. She?s hitting all the right notes here (music pun intended). I love how she frames the whole thing with those words from her parents, and what she doesn?t say outright, but I still felt, is her wanting to set a similar example for her sons. And thank goodness, Sheryl is not alone in directing negative attention towards Tesla. Protests have been happening all over the country at the car company?s showrooms, and not only were the 2024 fourth quarter earnings below estimates, but it also marked Tesla?s first ever-reported annual sales decline. Listen, I?ll take every little form of win we can get! Big things have small beginnings.
Lastly, I?d just like to take a paws to acknowledge the late great Kabosu. Not that anyone needs reminding, but Kabosu was the fabulous Japanese Shiba Inu whose Mona Lisa-mysterious mug inspired the Doge meme. I?m still doing some clean-up on some of the Invictus stories I missed during the games in Canada. Like this one Denmark?s Prince Joachim and Princess Marie flew up to Canada to attend a couple of days of Invictus. Prince Harry went over to greet them in person, shaking hands with Joachim and hugging Marie, even though Marie said some sh-t about Meghan years ago. That was a long time ago, and it was before Marie and Joachim were basically kicked out of Denmark and forced to move to America. From the Telegraph:
The Duke of Sussex was briefly back amongst royalty as he met Prince Joachim of Denmark and his wife Princess Marie at the Invictus Games in Vancouver. On the penultimate day of the Games, the Duke, 40, stood court-side with Prince Joachim, 55, and Princess Marie, 49, while Denmark competed in sitting volleyball amid a sea of fans dressed in red and white and wearing Viking-style horned hats.
Their paths had not crossed since 2017, but the Duke and Prince Joachim hold similar roles in their respective families, having both stepped away from their royal duties in recent years and relocated to the United States. Prince Joachim moved to Washington DC in 2022 after his mother, the former Queen Margrethe II, stripped his four children of their royal titles, while the Duke moved to California in 2020 and now lives there with his wife, Meghan, 43, and their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
During the sitting volleyball matches on Saturday, the Duke appeared in high spirits and joined in with the chanting, singing and flag waving, despite having been left alone at the Games earlier this week when the Duchess returned to their children after just five days. Such was his popularity among the crowd that his security team had to get involved and Usher people away who were crowding round to take selfies with him.
Also watching the sitting volleyball at the Vancouver Convention Centre was Veterans Minister Al Carns, who told The Telegraph that the Duke was an ?amazing patron? and insisted that Birmingham would rise to the challenge of hosting the next Games in 2027.
?We will get behind it, I can guarantee you,? the MP for Selly Oak said. ?Birmingham has really good spirit and the UK is increasingly involved and committed to delivering support to its veterans.?
Mr Carns, 44, a former Royal Marine Colonel who served in Afghanistan, sat down with the Duke for breakfast on Friday morning to discuss the 2027 Games. He said: ?We talked about how we can broaden out the Games from an international perspective, make it connect more into society, how we could connect it into schools and make sure people know about it from a young age. It?s going to be amazing. We?re going to try and build a real festival feel. Birmingham has good pedigree in running big events, like the Commonwealth Games.?

I like how the Telegraph fudges the similarities between Joachim and Harry. Yes, Joachim?s children were stripped of their titles and royal stylings, but Joachim and Marie are still ?protected? within the family, and Joachim is serving as a military attache to the Danish embassy, meaning he?s still in the royal fold to some degree. It would have been similar if the Windsors hadn?t been so insane with jealousy, they had agreed to Harry?s proposal of an official position of some capacity in Canada or Australia. The Danish press doesn?t harass Joachim and Marie on a daily basis either, and they aren?t constantly scapegoated to make King Frederik look better by comparison. Anyway, its interesting that Britain?s Veterans Minister went to the games. No one in the Windsor clan acknowledged the games in any way or congratulated Britain?s Invictus team. Denmark?s royal family did more to acknowledge the games than the Windsors.

Here are more photos from Sunday?s BAFTAs. The big winners included: Conclave for Best Film, Mikey Madison for Best Actress, Adrien Brody for Best Actor, Kieran Culkin for Supporting Actor (Culkin skipped because of a family emergency) and Zoe Saldana for Supporting Actress. There?s been such significant backlash to Emilia Perez over the past month, but Netflix is doing something right with how they?ve organized Saldana?s campaign. They managed to pull her out of the wreckage, and Saldana has now picked up the Golden Globe, BAFTA and Critics Choice awards. If she wins the SAG Award next weekend, that means this category is totally wrapped up. Zoe wore a Saint Laurent dress to the BAFTAs? eh. It?s not the worst, but it?s far from the best.
I?m still delusionally praying for Isabella Rossellini to pull off an upset in supporting actress! Isabella turned up at the BAFTAs too, and she was there to celebrate Conclave?s Best Film win. She wore a completely bonkers Dolce & Gabbana muumuu with Bulgari jewelry.
Selena Gomez wore Schiaparelli?lol, this isn?t the worst Schiaparelli I?ve seen, but I still don?t get why people are obsessed with this brand.
Pamela Anderson wore Jacquemus. Eh. It?s the styling this is giving ?Daytime Emmys? not BAFTAs.
Sebastian Stan and Annabelle Wallis walked the carpet together!! They?ve been together for like three years? She wore Vivienne Westwood. They?re an attractive couple and they mostly fly under the radar.
Fernanda Torres wore Dior she?s been wearing a lot of Chanel to other shows, so this was notable. This was, no joke, one of my favorite dresses of the BAFTAs. So simple, so flattering.
Colman Domingo wore Versace he?s incredible.

The BAFTAs were held last night in London. They were obviously not attended by the BAFTA president, who is currently on vacation in Mustique. The BAFTAs shook up the race a little bit, but honestly, this has been one of the weirdest awards seasons I?ve ever seen. Two weekends ago, Sean Baker?s Anora won two major Best Picture guild awards at the PGAs and DGAs. At the BAFTAs, Conclave took home Best Film, but Anora herself won a BAFTA Mikey Madison won Best Actress. She wore a custom Prada to the BAFTAs she?s worn a lot of Prada throughout the awards season, with mixed-to-bad results. I found this look to be very plain, like the simplest wedding gown on offer.
In her BAFTA speech and remember, this is the first major award Mikey has won for Anora she acknowledged sex workers, saying in part: ?I do want to just take a moment to recognize the sex worker community. I just want to say that I see you. You deserve respect and human decency. I will always be a friend and ally.? She also thanked her fellow nominees, saying she was ?in awe? of them. I still think Demi Moore is the frontrunner in the Best Actress Oscar race, but Mikey?s win is definitely interesting.
More photos from the BAFTAs Letitia Wright also wore Prada. This is lovely. She has a years-long association with Prada and it?s been sort of a mixed bag, but I love this. My one complaint is the same thing I always say about Prada: the boob darts have to go.
Felicity Jones wore a custom Armani Prive. Back in the day, I always wanted Felicity to be more of a fashion girl, but it never really came together. I think she enjoys fashion and enjoys getting dressed up for these awards shows, but she didn?t really know how to do it in her 20s. Now that she?s more mature, she understands that she can pull off these very sleek looks. She looks great, what else can I say? I love high-quality velvet on the red carpet.
Monica Barbaro continues her ?a star is born? trajectory, wearing an Armani which looks like something Bob Mackie would have made for Cher. I?m saying that as a compliment, I think.

Louis Vuitton dressed three prominent nominees for last night?s BAFTAs Cynthia Erivo and Saoirse Ronan in the lead actress category, and Ariana Grande in supporting. Ronan wearing LV is not a surprise she became an LV ambassador last year, I think? But it?s interesting that both Ari and Cynthia wore LV and yet it didn?t feel like they coordinated at all. If you ask me, LV gave their ambassador the best dress, and the house did Ari and Cynthia dirty. In any case, all three women lost in their respective categories.
Saoirse looked absolutely perfect in this dress with a matching cape/jacket/wrap. This ice-blue can be tricky on many pale women, but they got the tone just right, and Saoirse paired it with a bright lipstick so she didn?t look washed out. She just looks so elegant and regal. It helps that she?s married to certified hottie Jack Lowden too.
As for Cynthia and Ari? yeah, not their best looks of the awards season. I?m actually really mad that LV did this to Cynthia. Sure, she?s been wearing some offbeat styles, but the structured breastplate doesn?t take away from the ghastly bottom of the dress. Ari?s dress isn?t really to my taste, but I?m not mad about it. I just think it?s too much fabric for such a petite woman and the peachy Pink mess doesn?t ?go? with the sleek black top.

Demi Moore attended the BAFTAs on Sunday as a Best Actress nominee. She lost to Mikey Madison, in what was probably considered a surprise. Personally, I?ve thought that Mikey should be the frontrunner of the lead-actress race for months, but Demi is the one winning everything (everything except the BAFTA). Demi dressed like she thought she was going to win as well she wore this really striking Alexander McQueen gown which is so detailed and interesting.
Lupita Nyong?o wore Chanel to the BAFTAs this is one of the few times I?ve really loved Chanel on a red carpet. Who knew that Lupita + Chanel was such a great combo?
Anna Kentrick wore an archive Georges Chakra really sexy, and I adore the diamonds and emeralds. She really went all out.
Marisa Tomei in Sophie Couture. I saw some complaints about this and I was like WTF, she looks great. But on second look? the dress is ?off? somehow? I get it. The shoulders throw everything off and the large applique at the waist weighs down the dress (and makes it look saggy). But she?s lovely.

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds attended the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary show on Sunday night. This is their first red carpet together since all of the Justin Baldoni lawsuits. I think ?body language analysis? has been hijacked by tabloid idiots, but I did find their body language and red-carpet moves very interesting. They made a point of posing separately and together and in many photos, they look the same as they always do. But something has shifted, imo. Blake and Ryan even approved of a ?joke? on the show:

Timothee Chalamet grew out that gross little ratty mustache last year for a role in Josh Safdie?s Marty Supreme. The film wrapped a while ago, and yet the mustache is still here. I kind of wonder if it?s a superstition? Like, Timothee will not shave that thing until after the awards season? You would think he would be eager to get rid of it, because the mustache has brought a really trashy energy to Timothee?s worldwide promotional tour for A Complete Unknown.
Speaking of, Timothee was in Germany on Valentine?s Day. He premiered A Complete Unknown at the Berlin Film Festival. Timmy wore head-to-toe Chrome Hearts, with Cartier jewelry. Something nice: I enjoy the fact that Timothee is such a fashion guy, and I love that he wore Pink for V-Day. Something mean: he looks like a 13-year-old wannabe rapper who goes by White Boy Chalmy. He is OOZING with talent, but seeing his slight figure in a pale Pink tank killed whatever attraction I had for him. That being said, I still kind of think he might pull off an ?upset? at the Oscars and end up winning Best Actor.
Anyway, it looks like Timothee invited his girlfriend to Germany too, so they could spend V-Day together. Kylie Jenner was also in Paris with him last month, so she enjoys traveling with him and having some time with him in-between premieres and promotional work. Kylie didn?t walk the carpet, but she came into the theater and sat next to Timmy and everyone cheered her arrival.
