Here are some photos from Friday?s iheartradio Jingle Ball red carpet. People were freaking out about these Katie Holmes photos all weekend, but I?d like to discuss them in the sartorial context of some of the other people in attendance, namely Dove Cameron, Demi Lovato and Dua Lipa. When the Katie Holmes pics went viral, people were like ?wow, what a Y2K look? and ?this is not it, Katie.? While that?s true and the jeans are so, so bad what?s also true is that we are in a very real ?90s fashion revival.
So much of what I?m seeing on the younger people is from the micro-fashion era of 1998-2003, when Britney replaced grunge-alt, when people wearing dresses over jeans went mainstream, the mainstreaming of ?90s vampire-goths, the proto-Juicy Couture era becoming the mainstream high-fashion sweats era. It was a chaotic and terrible time. I don?t want to go back to it, but it?s fully back. As I said, look no further than the other people at this event. What Dove Cameron is wearing is how Mark Wahlberg dressed all the time in that micro-era. Demi Lovato is doing Janet Jackson-Rhythm Nation. Dua Lipa is doing mainstream goth.
Anyway, Katie could have pulled this off if A) the jeans were better or B) she had worn black palazzo pants with the terrible top. I have no real comment on the sneakers, I bet they were comfortable. Katie has always had such weird style, but I applaud her for trying different sh-t. Or dusting off some of her Dawson?s Creek-era stuff.

Katie Holmes was seen out and about this week in New York. She?s fresh from her breakup with Emilio Vitolo and back to the one constant in her life: clown pants. To be fair, Katie wears clown pants even when she?s dating, but the guys have to know that ?clown pants? are her forever-love. I don?t even know how to explain these completely terrible jeans! I?m someone who loathes skinny jeans too, and I would love to see wider-leg jeans and palazzo pants come back into style. But these are not really wide-leg jeans or palazzo pants. They?re just? bad. Awful, really. She doesn?t know how to flatter her figure. She has a nice figure too, it shouldn?t be this hard.
Meanwhile, the other Holmes-adjacent story this week is that Alex Rodriguez was seen coming out of the apartment building where Katie resides. The paparazzi must know that they can always stake out her building and they?ll probably get some clown-pants photos, then lo and behold they get some shots of A-Rod exiting her building. So K-Rod about to become a thing? Kalex? A-Holmes? Aletie? Probably not!
Alex Rodriguez is continuing his search for the perfect bachelor pad following his split from Jennifer Lopez ? and that includes Katie Holmes? fancy Manhattan apartment building, Page Six has confirmed. On Sunday, A-Rod ? who we?re told has never met Holmes ? was seen leaving the swanky downtown building where the ?Dawson?s Creek? star and her teen daughter, Suri Cruise, live. His appearance sparked rumors he was there to visit Holmes, who recently split from restaurateur Emilio Vitolo Jr.
But Holmes? rep told us of the actress and A-Rod, ?They have never even met.?
A source close to A-Rod added: ?Alex is looking at lots of different apartments, he didn?t even realize it was Katie?s building ? he?s never met her.?
As The Post revealed, the former Yankees slugger is hunting for a new home months after his shocking split from Lopez. While A-Rod has been looking in Tribeca and the Upper West Side, we?re told that he has now opened up his search around the city.

I would like to thank Katie and Emilio for their service, but now it?s time to retire Kamilio. Katie and Emilio got together in late August/early September, when they were first photographed having masked dates around the city. It turned out that Emilio quickly dumped his live-in fiancee to be with Katie. Their pandemic romance flourished in a flurry of clown pants, Dairy Queen references and admissions that it wasn?t anything too serious. In the new year, they seemed to slow down though, and the pap strolling wasn?t as consistent. By April, there were rumors that a breakup would happen soon. And here we are.
It?s over. Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr. have officially split, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.
A spokesperson for the actress, 42, notes that ?the pair have parted ways amicably but remain friends.?
The Batman Begins star and the restauranteur, 33, haven?t been seen together in one month while Holmes worked on an untitled romance film in Connecticut. Despite their breakup, the former couple have no bad blood.
?Their relationship fizzled. They figured out they?re better off as friends. There?s no drama that went down with the breakup and in fact, they?re still friends,? a source tells Us, noting that the split happened about two weeks ago. ?Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together ? it just simply didn?t work out. She?s focusing on being a mom and her upcoming projects.?
Holmes, 42, and Vitolo, 33, were first linked in early September when they were spotted on a date at his family restaurant Emilios Ballato.

Sources began to whisper that Katie was just having fun with Emilio, that he was just a good time, a place-holder until she went back to work. However, Holmes has recently been away shooting a new movie, only returning to NYC sporadically. This past weekend, the star was seen in the city as she celebrated her daughter Suri?s 15th birthday ? with Vitolo nowhere to be seen. We?re now told that while Holmes and Vitolo haven?t broken up, things have definitely cooled down.

This made me think of how the Church of Scientology and Tom Cruise love-bombed Katie circa 2005-06. She just fell into their trap and she was so blissed out and ?in love? and no one could talk her out of it. I think certain people are just susceptible to that kind of ?falling head over heels, never paying attention to the red flags? kind of love/obsession/weirdness. Katie?s lucky that with Emilio, she?s not diving head first into another soul-sucking cult. For the past two weeks, Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo slowed down their daily pap strolls. They were still being photographed here and there, but we didn?t get the deluge of new photos we were getting in September. Even Afflarmas had to learn to withhold a little bit, so I guess East Coast Afflarmas did too. I wasn?t worried that Katie and Emilio had split or anything love like theirs cannot be contained for too long! Speaking of, a ?source? had some interesting stuff to say about Kamilio:
Katie Holmes is playing by her own rules when it comes to her relationship with Emilio Vitolo Jr. The former Dawsons Creek star and the 33-year-old chef have been inseparable since they publicly stepped out last month. A source tells ET that Holmes, 41, and Vitolo are the real deal. They adore each other and cant get enough of one another,? says the source.
The source adds they are very compatible and completely on the same page. And while it may seem like the relationship is moving fast, Holmes and Vitolo have known each other for almost a year. They met in the fall of 2019, but didn?t start dating until this summer.

My read on their relationship and these quotes is that Katie is no longer ?the ingenue? or the ?follower? in relationships. She?s gotten to an age where she can steer things and have opinions and say what?s what and where they?re going. She?s likely setting the pace of the relationship too. Which is new for her Tom Cruise was so controlling, and then Jamie Foxx probably had a lot of rules about not being seen together and all of that. So? I don?t blame Katie for feeling herself. But Emilio sounds like a douche, sorry not sorry!

Emilio arrived at Katie?s apt to pick her up, but first Katie invited her Chef boyfriend to her apt where the couple spent half hour inside before going for a joyride in his red Pontiac. The Chef was a gentleman as Katie patiently waited for him to open the car door for her. The new couple were all smiles as they spent the day touring New York City.
?A joyride in his red Pontiac?? II can?t believe she?s 41 years old! Joyrides in Pontiacs lost their luster for me personally when I was, like, 17? I mean, first flush of love after a while, for sure, and she seems very happy that she?s with a guy who wants to be in public with her.
Also, I don?t understand her outfit at all, but I actually kind of dig that about Katie she?s never really followed trends, she?s tried to be a trendsetter. She?s really going on dates with her man wearing knit (possibly cashmere) joggers, white tennis shoes and a blazer from the ?80s. Also: Andrew Cuomo is going to yell at Emilio personally if Emilio continues to fuss with his mask.

I have no idea how long Katie Holmes has been doing *something* with Emilio Vitolo, but the public part of their romance was only revealed less than two weeks ago. That was when we saw Katie out on a flirty date with Emilio, drinking wine and laughing and looking quite happy. Within the next few days, there were other dates and other photos, this time of Katie sitting in Emilio?s lap, and lots of kissing/affectionate photos. I think most of us were like ?nice, good for her.? But then last week, the Daily Mail had an exclusive: Emilio had a live-in fiancee whom he dumped just as the photos with Katie Holmes were being published. It was a mess! And now it?s even worse: People Magazine has picked up the story!
Katie Holmes new rumored beau was engaged just weeks before the two were first seen together. Holmes, 41, was first spotted enjoying a date with N.Y.C.-based chef and restaurant owner Emilio Vitolo, 33, early this month, with two more sightings coming quickly after. The two were most recently spotted kissing on the street in New York City, with both bringing their face masks down momentarily to share a sweet kiss. The happy duo was also seen laughing and smiling together during the sighting.
Their outings come just weeks after Vitolo was seemingly engaged to designer Rachel Emmons. A source tells PEOPLE the two were still together days before Holmes was first seen out with the chef.
In mid-August, Emilio and Rachel were still engaged and living together, the source says. He broke off the engagement abruptly the second Katie showed some interest. Rachel is shocked. They were planning a wedding and their future together. Its like she never knew Emilio. They havent had any contact since he broke up with her.
Emmons also posted loved-up pictures on her Instagram before the sighting. The designer most recently posted with the chef on July 27, showing off a gorgeous sunset behind the couple as they sat in a boat. The day before, Emmons once again posted with Vitolo, this time in a restaurant with the chef leaning in close to her and smiling widely for the picture. Vitolo left a comment full of red hearts on the July 26 post. According to Emmons Instagram, the pair seem to have gotten engaged in February 2019, with the designer showing off her ring in a sweet selfie of the two smiling.

Wedding planning was on just two months later when Emmons posted a shot of wedding gowns at a Monique Lhuillier Bride store. In July that year, Emmons posted a shot of her wearing a jean jacket with the words Mrs. Vitolo on the back. Its unclear when the couple called off their engagement, as Vitolo was first seen with Holmes on Sept. 1.

You know the sh-t has hit the fan when People Magazine picks up a story introduced by the Daily Mail. And why not? While People Mag is on Katie Holmes? side simply because she?s the biggest name in this love catastrophe, they?re not taking any bold stand by simply reporting the weirdness around the timeline. Plus: jilted, photogenic fiancees sell magazines too! Anyway, I have no idea what Katie knew then or what she knows now. I think we?ve seen before that she can sometimes get dickmatized and I hope this is a quick wakeup call that Emilio seems like a massive douche.
PS? I looked at Rachel?s Instagram and it appears as if she?s already scrubbed every post about Emilio and their engagement. Hm!
