They are both taking on upcoming roles as Jackie Onassis, but don?t expect any rivalry between Rachel Weisz and Katie Holmes.
"She's a fantastic actress," Weisz, referring to Holmes, told People at Thursday's NYDG's Rx Haiti benefit in New York. "She will be fabulous."
With the possibility of critics comparing and contrasting their performances, Weisz insists, "It's not a competition. I'm surprised more people haven't played her thus far. It seems strange there hasn't been many versions. But it's great she has the opportunity to play her as well."
Of taking on this iconic role, Weisz adds, "It's extremely exciting and scary at the same time. She's American royalty. So there's some fear."

The 39-year-old, who announced her pregnancy in January, is expecting a baby girl with director husband Matthew Vaughn in May. This will be the couple's third child.
Prior to her family, Schiffer admits to working around the clock. She told the Daily Mail, "I used to work every single day and travel round the world. I worked weekends, I never took one second off."
But now, the gorgeous model is family-focused, telling, "When I met my husband I said, 'You know what, this is important. I'm not going to work weekends any more.' And when I had kids, I became even more careful.?

Proudly showing off her growing baby bump, supermodel Claudia Schiffer poses nude for the June cover of Vogue Germany. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld shot the glowing mom in a pose that is nearly identical to Demi Moore’s infamous 1991 Vanity Fair cover in which the actress posed in the buff at seven-months pregnant.
Schiffer, 39, who announced her pregnancy in January, is expecting a baby girl with husband, director Matthew Vaughn, in May. The couple are already parents to Caspar, 7, and Clementine, 5.
The model has credited her new life as a wife and mom to helping change the workaholic lifestyle she once had.
“I used to work every single day and travel round the world. I worked weekends, I never took one second off,” she told the Daily Mail. “When I met my husband I said, ‘You know what, this is important. I’m not going to work weekends any more.’ And when I had kids, I became even more careful. Modeling work is fine because you can do one day here, two days there ? you’re never long gone.”
After marrying Vaughn in 2002, Schiffer said she put her career on hold to immediately start a family. After having their first child, the couple decided to have another “as soon as possible.”
“I love being pregnant,” she admitted. “You can do whatever you want. You don’t feel guilty, because I used to feel guilty about having a day off.”
“And, you know, something really strange happened to me. Before my pregnancies, I was someone who had to watch their weight. I had a personal trainer, I was working out, I would never eat anything sweet,” she continued. “Anyway, I got pregnant and when I was breastfeeding it just came off. I can eat whatever I want. If I don’t eat enough, I will lose weight.”

Sometimes I really do wonder if Madonna has always been a total moron, and her whole career was just a fluke. I don?t really think that?s the case - I think Madge is a smart businesswoman and a great reader of trends, the latter being one of the most underrated qualities for celebrities today. But for all of Madge?s business savvy, she?s a f-cking idiot about history. Madonna is set to direct her second feature film in a few months. The film will be about - at least in part - the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, or King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. Madge recently gave an interview about the Duke and Duchess and she ended up angering the history buff in me:
Madonna, who is making a film about the Duchess of Windsor, says Nazi slurs about Wallis Simpson were unfair. Madonna’s hopes of enlisting the Queen’s support for a film that she is making about the Edward VIII abdication crisis are unlikely to be helped by inflammatory claims she has made about Wallis Simpson.
“People have accused Wallis of all kinds of things,” she says of her fellow American. ?They’ve said that she put a spell on Edward. They’ve said that she was a hermaphrodite and that he was gay. They’ve said they were Nazi sympathizers. It’s just the usual lynch mob mentality that descends upon somebody who has something that lots of other people don’t have.”
The admiration for Hitler of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, as they became, concerned the government, particularly after he entertained them in 1937.
Mandrake reported in March that Madonna would ask the Queen for filming on W. E. to be allowed in royal palaces.
“Madonna is keen to make the film as authentic as possible and would be very grateful if we are allowed to film at certain locations,” said one of her associates. “She loves the UK and holds your Queen in the highest regard.”
Madonna, who lived in Sir Cecil Beaton’s former house in Dorset during her seven-year marriage to the British director Guy Ritchie, plans to start shooting the film this summer. The singer has long been fascinated by the 1936 crisis, in which Edward VIII’s desire to marry Wallis Simpson, a twice-divorced American socialite, caused a constitutional dilemma.
The crisis was resolved by Edward’s abdication and his succession by his brother, George VI, who was the Queen’s father. Edward was given the title the Duke of Windsor and he married Mrs Simpson.

This film that Madonna will direct, it?s something that she?s been researching for years, allegedly. So how is it that Madonna never found any of the extensive documentation about the Duke and Duchess?s true sympathies for Nazis in general and Adolf Hitler in particular? Back in 1937, before the bombing of Britain, and after King Edward?s abdication (in 1936), the Duke and Duchess toured Nazi Germany and met with Hitler. They were photographed giving the ?Sieg Heil? Nazi salute. When the Duke and Duchess traveled to America during the war, Roosevelt had them monitored as anti-Allied spies. There were rumors that should Hitler ever take control of Britain, he would install (or re-install) the Duke as king, answering to the Nazi Empire. There is extensive documentation to back all of this up - so what the hell is Madonna talking about? Something tells me this film she’s doing is going to be a “reimagining” of the Windsors rather than a story with any kind of historical accuracy.

I identified with Miranda - mostly because she always seemed like the most realistic, grounded character, and because our caustic, stubborn personalities were similar. During the television series, Nixon left her long-time male partner and began dating and living with Christine Marinoni. That was six years ago, and now Nixon is The Advocate?s newest cover girl, and she talks about her relationship with Christine more candidly than I?ve ever heard. For years, people on the street have been calling her ?Miranda,? the cynical, type A lawyer Cynthia Nixon made famous on HBO?s Sex and the City. Six years later, now that she?s come out as gay, survived breast cancer, and stepped up as a marriage equality activist, her fans now recognize her for her.
In her new interview with The Advocate (www.advocate.com), Nixon talks about her slow coming-out after she began dating her now-fiance, Christine Marinoni. After the couple had spent many months together, the press started speculating about their relationship. Nixon hired a publicist who warned her to stay out of the headlines. Uncomfortable with that route, Nixon soon turned to Kelly Bush, an openly gay publicist. Bush suggested Nixon confirm the rumors, and that is just what she did.
?I was like, ?Really, we can just confirm??? Nixon tells The Advocate. ?So that?s just what we did. It was so fantastic.?
Freshly out, and with two children from her relationship with Danny Mozes, Nixon integrated Marinoni into her life and her family.
?She?s like a short man with boobs,? Nixon says of Marinoni. ?A lot of what I love about her is her butchness. I?m not saying I fell in love with her in a sexually neutral way. I love her sexuality ? it?s a big part of what I love about her ? but I feel like it was her.?
Nixon?s children also quickly adapted to the new relationship, not that her son?s processing started at school. ?His teachers were just so great about it,? Nixon notes, ?because they were the first people that started referring to ?Charlie?s moms,? which is so lovely, and we really hadn?t done that yet. So Charlie came home one day and he said [to Marinoni], ?You?re my mommy too!??
With a healthy family life and having overcome breast cancer, in 2008 Nixon opened up about her battle and her first big-screen nude scene. Showing her breasts, in a big way, was not a political response to the cancer battle.
?They didn?t know about it at the time. Generally, my thoughts are, if they ask me to do [a nude scene], I?ll do one,? Nixon proclaims. ?I mean, I won?t do anything, but I feel like if Michael Patrick [King] wants me to do it, there?s a reason he wants me to do it.?

Even though I think Sarah Jessica Parker was always more than cool with Cynthia coming out, I always got the impression that other people involved with Sex and the City really just wanted to shove Cynthia in the corner and hope that mainstream America wouldn?t realize that Cynthia was suddenly out of the closet. It?s interesting that Cynthia was allowed - by SATC producers and publicists - to do this Advocate cover interview. I wonder if she?s going to be hidden away for this publicity tour?

Apparently Tommy Boy was secretly videotaped during confessional sessions, and according to a former high-level member, those tapes were used to mock him at cocktail parties when he wasn’t around. TMZ says
Mark Rathbun says he recorded Cruise during the confessional sessions and Scientology guru David Miscavige read the transcripts at parties, “joking and laughing” at them.
Rathbun says the video was “well-concealed” in the VIP auditing room, [and that] Miscavige ordered him to prepare transcripts of the sessions. Then Miscavige would hold late night whiskey parties, reading the transcripts and laughing out loud.
The nature of Tom’s alleged confessions were not disclosed.

She?s always had a fantastic physique, but Gwyneth Paltrow admits even she had to step up her fitness routine for her role in ?Iron Man 2.?
First, talking about her diet, the Pepper Potts actress told press, "I followed her strict diet for five days to lose my extra winter weight."
Aside from eating ultra healthy, Ms Paltrow says she endured a 45-minute dance cardio workout and arm drills along with a 26-minute long video to help tone her legs and butt.
Despite sticking to this strict regime, Gwyneth also admitted, "Now, I am not a good dieter and I cannot ever do it for long, only when there is a goal in sight, which there was in this case. This regime got me into the shape of my life and I continue to return to it when I have a specific event so that I can do ridiculous things like be a 37 year old mother of two and wear shorts!"

Jenna Jameson and her boyfriend, Tito Ortiz, have made a very public show of affection with some (probably) staged photos at the beach with their 13 month old twins, sons Jesse and Journey. The last we heard from Jenna, she was telling US Weekly her side of the April 26 domestic abuse incident in which Tito was arrested (and still potentially faces charges) and she was left with bruises on her arm and a sling. According to Jenna, Tito pushed her aside into a tub in the bathroom after a heated argument in which he accused her of taking the drug Oxycontin. She said he’d never hit her before but may have “an anger problem.” Jenna took a drug test a day afterwards and passed, with negative results for all tested substances, including Oxycontin.
Anyway Tito and Jenna looked very much together at the beach yesterday and like they’re working on their relationship. They were photographed kissing at lunch as well. Jenna even tweeted that she “will fight to the end for tito…/he is my man!” and that “tit [sic] and I are working on our love, and it’s working..”
As I wrote on Friday, it’s hard to know if Tito abused Jenna or not, or if there was a pattern of abuse in their relationship, which she denies. It still makes me sad to see these two play out their issues in public, even their reconciliation. I wish them the best and hope that there wasn’t any abuse going on and there never will be.

Bossip is reporting the totally unconfirmed rumor that Alicia Keys is pregnant with her boyfriend?s baby. Alicia and Swizz seem for real - they?ve been together for a year (at least) and they made their first public red carpet appearance in March. HHW has received some shocking news! Sources have come forward alleging that R&B singer Alicia Keys is pregnant by her boyfriend, hip hop producer Swizz Beatz.
The pair, who have been an item since 2008 when Swizz and his estranged wife, singer Mashonda, announced that they were splitting up, and are also rumored to be engaged.
While HHW cannot confirm the pregnancy at this time, the source is someone close to the couple.

I remember Jenna Jameson accusing husband Tito Ortiz of beating her like it was yesterday. But really, it was more like two weeks ago. A lot can happen in two weeks. Joined by executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the ?Donnie Darko? stud and the ?Clash of the Titans? chick looked hot as they posed outside the Vue Westfield.
Following the big premiere, Jake headed over to the Home House nearby for a swanky after party with industry bigwigs.
?Prince of Persia? is about a street urchin in Persia who is adopted by the king as his heir following a courageous battle.

At first I thought the costume was just this poorly-cut rubber, but as I look at it more closely, that?s flesh-toned fabric, made to look like ?cut-outs?. In one other piece of Rihanna news, while she was in England, she got paid $30,000 pounds (roughly $50,000) to party for one hour at a Liverpool nightclub. The British press are reporting it like it?s some kind of scandal, where I honestly thought Rihanna would get paid much more than $50,000 for a club appearance. I saw photos of her leaving the club though, and she wasn?t wearing rubber or duct tape - she was wearing leggings. For goodness sake, Rihanna. Let the vadge breathe.

Actress Sienna Miller has turned to Kabbalah and has started wearing the controversial faith?s bracelet. The 28-year-old has attended meetings at the Kabbalah centre in New York ? where Madonna is a regular visitor.
And she has told friends she is keen to learn more about the mystical Jewish discipline.
While her father is Jewish, Sienna has never spoken about being religious.
Says a friend: ?Sienna has joined Kabbalah and started wearing the red bracelet. She certainly seems fascinated, and with so many famous devotees, joining won?t do her career any harm either.?

As for Sienna?s future as an actress, I?d say things are definitely looking up since the unfortunate Balthazar Getty incident, in which she almost destroyed her career. She and Jude are going strong, and they just made their first big public appearance as a renewed couple. However, although both Sienna and Jude both starred in big Broadway productions last fall, only Jude walked away with a Tony nomination. Still, Sienna doesn?t have any film projects lined up, so my guess is that she?s preparing to spend some time just being Jude?s girlfriend again. As for those engagement rumors, Jude told Access Hollywood last week ?Not at the moment. Not at the moment. That?s all I can say.? But, Jude also said, regarding Sienna, ?I?m very happy. Last night was the big London premiere of The Prince of Persia, so Jake Gyllenhaal had to spend his Mother?s Day abroad. Since he?s so close to his parents, I?d imagine that killed him a little. Anyway, Jake looked very nice and not too orange, as opposed to his recent tan-tastic appearance on GQ. The British girls were all over him, too, especially his British costar Gemma Arterton. Arterton was wearing a big, beautiful ball gown that I like, but I would like better for an awards ceremony rather than a premiere. Still, pretty.
Jake gave a bunch of self-deprecating statements on the red carpet, so read into these what you will. Regarding his bulked-up body, Jake said: “My shoulders got so big that sometimes I couldn’t reach to grab things.” Regarding his shoulder-length hair for the film - which wasn?t a wig or a weave - Jake said: ?It took me six months to grow it, which was the hardest part of it all. It was harder to grow the hair than do the accent or to swordfight. It’s almost harder than acting! It was shampoo and conditioner - not a two-in-one - because the physique was developed by vigorous scrubbing and rubbing of the scalp with shampoo. That really worked the bicep area and if you really focus on the core while you are doing it, your abs get totally ripped up.?
Gemma Arterton, meanwhile, outed Jake as a man afraid of ostriches, which are in the film: ?Jake is scared of ostriches. He ran away and the look on his face is not acting, it’s real!”
By the way, I saw this dude?s photo at the premiere, and I just had to put it up. His name is David Gandy and isn?t he just the prettiest thing you?ve ever seen? According to Wikipedia, he?s a British model, not an actor. Sigh?
