Here are some additional photos of John Travolta and his dusty wiglet at the Cannes Film Festival. He was in Cannes to promote Gotti, the biopic where he plays (you guessed it) John Gotti. I remember how long this project has been rattling around Hollywood at one point, Lindsay Lohan was attached to it, remember? Anyway, Travolta ended up in a Cannes presser and he was asked about the #MeToo movement. Keep in mind that years before the #MeToo movement took off, Travolta?s victims were coming forward and telling their stories to various tabloids. Travolta sexually harasses and assaults men, usually men who work as masseurs. There?s a long history of men suing him in civil court and/or telling their stories to whoever will listen. Travolta is not a good person. So this is what happened when he was asked about #MeToo:
The moderator did ask Travolta about his feelings on the #MeToo movement and whats happening in Hollywood right now ? a conversation, of course, that has been a big topic at Cannes, where 82 women marched on the festivals red carpet to highlight the lack of female filmmaker representation over the years and festival director Thierry Frmaux signed a charter pledging the festival would, among other things, take steps toward gender parity on its executive board.
I honestly dont know a ton about it, because I try my best to keep people equal ? men, women, races, Travolta responded. My father was brilliant at it. He had a global viewpoint. Im a citizen of the globe, and Im a citizen of groups and people.
He segued into the topic of protest, saying he typically viewed it as a last resort, and questioned its usefulness.
Protest is valid. But how do you measure ? how do you differentiate the moment where it becomes invalid? Travolta asked. Its an art, almost, to say, OK, lets protest, but weve achieved that here and these particular rights. Now, lets get smart about how we use that ? protest so it doesnt get into an irrational perspective. If we go back to the humanities of being each others friends and wanting and caring at a deep level, then well make it. But its a dwindling spiral out there.

I just? I mean? WTF? ?Im a citizen of the globe, and Im a citizen of groups and people? he says when he?s asked about victims of harassment and assault coming forward to tell their stories. It?s almost like hear me out he?s trying to say, in a really shady, roundabout way, that people telling their #MeToo stories are narrow-minded and parochial. That if people were just citizens of the globe, they would understand that sometimes you get assaulted by movie stars on the massage table. Ugh. Travolta is such a douche.

I was happy to see that Jennifer Love Hewitt got a new job on television, working for Ryan Murphy. She?s going to be on that wildly successful Fox show, 9-1-1. Hewitt got married in 2013 and has two children with her husband, actor Brian Hallisay. They have a daughter named Autumn, who is four and a half, and a son Atticus, who turns three next month. The last time Hewitt was on television was in 2015, on Criminal Minds. She used to be all over the place when she was single but she kind of hunkered down. She does post selfies to Instagram but she doesn?t post photos of her kids at all. I think her husband had some influence on that as she never posts photos of him either. The good news is that J-Love is back! She did the red carpet for the Fox upfronts earlier this week, looking so pretty and fresh-faced. Only according to Hewitt, that wasn?t deliberate, she was just hot and her makeup had worn off. She recorded an Instagram story explaining that she was melting on the red carpet. E! Has the transcript.
It has been a really intense couple of days. Like, so great, so blessed?but intense, the 39-year-old actress said in her Instagram Stories Tuesday afternoon. We go to the Upfront yesterday and nobody tells me the day is going to be like 12 hours long and the humidity is going to be almost 100 percent in New York City. So, I just have to apologize. Wearing a black suit? Not a good idea. Not wearing enough hairspray and teasing in my hair? Also a bad idea.
I just have to apologize for how wrecked I look in all the pictures that have come out. I was literally melting. By the time I got to the red carpet, I was honestly melting, she said. My hair was flat, my makeup was running off my face and I looked like I had completely forgotten I was an actress in this business who is supposed to look [perfect] when you step on the red carpet.
That is not what Im going to look like on the show. Im going to have makeup on my face. Im not going to be sweating. Im not going to be overwhelmed by being in front of a red carpet and crews again. Honestly, I apologize, she said with a laugh. I shouldve really gotten it together!
Hewitt hadnt slept all night, thanks to her two toddlers. It was our first time traveling with them, she explained. Traveling with toddlers?wow. I had no idea. I mean, I waited this long because I knew that it was going to be hard. First of all, let me say: My kids were ballers. Amazing! They did a great job. Hewitt said she suffers from anxiety and is afraid to fly, so she relied on Brian Hallisays help. My husband is a saint, she said. He really held it all together.
In spite of how she felt about her appearance, Hewitt told her Instagram followers, I had an amazing time in New York, I had an amazing time with my family, but Im happy to be home!
9-1-1 is the first series Hewitt will be shooting since becoming a mom, and its going to be a whole new learning thing, she admitted, adding that shes really grateful for the opportunity.
To get ready for her return to television, an exuberant Hewitt promised fans, Im going to be killing my boxing workouts again, getting in great shape mentally, physically and emotionally for all thats ahead when we start the season. Im just feeling really grateful, so I hope youre excited. Im excited. And Im really sorry for looking like a hot mess on the red carpet yesterday. Oh, my God! I was so hot! I was like literally melting. Like, melting. Melting! ButI had a blast!

When I saw those photos I thought that Hewitt wanted to present a different image, that she was showing us her natural look as a strategy for her comeback. I didn?t think that anything had gone wrong with her look at all, shes lovely, but obviously she was really self conscious. She just seems so relatable and vulnerable here and I feel for her. That?s always been her appeal to me that she lets us see who she is without making it into her schtick a la Kristen Bell. I think Hewitt could have more of a career if she capitalized on her kids, talked about them and hustled more, but that?s not who she is.
Hewitt previously said, of her return to television When Ryan Murphy calls, you pick up the phone and you do whatever he says because hes Ryan Murphy. I love that Ryan Murphy thought to reach out to her.
Also, I don?t miss that time when my son was a toddler and I can?t imagine dealing with two at once. Going back to work was such a relief for me after being a full time mom and I bet Hewitt feels the same.

It felt like the neverending pregnancy, but as it turns out, Chrissy Teigen gave birth earlier than expected. Chrissy and John Legend welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday. We don?t know the name yet! Their first child, Luna May, is just two years old. Chrissy and John had some issues conceiving naturally, so both of her pregnancies happened with a doctor?s help, and they were both super-planned. I say this all the time, but at some point, doesn?t an extreme age difference between two people in a romantic relationship become exhausting? That?s what I think about all the time now when I see Leonardo DiCaprio stick with the same ?age group? when his girlfriends age out of the Leo D Girlfriend Experience. When you hit 25, you are no longer needed by The Wolf Pack. Thankfully, Leo always manages to find ladies in that sweet spot of 20-23. His current girlfriend is Camila Morrone, and she?s only 20. They were walking around the West Village on Tuesday when they were pap?d. This is the best sign we?ve had that he?s ?serious? about Camila. It?s part of the Leo D Girlfriend Experience: you get at least one pap stroll with the Alpha Wolf to prove to the world that you?re his ?official.?
As I said, Camila is only 20 years old. Leo is 43 years old. He?s older than me but not THAT much older than me. I try to think about what I would do with a 20-year-old guy. I mean, if the guy was hot, it would be fun for a short time, but it would also be completely awful. 20-year-olds speak a different language, they?re always on their phones, they have completely different slang and cultural references. What do Leo and Camila even talk about? Or is that the point they don?t talk? I will give Leo a smidgen of credit with Camila though: for once, he?s not going with a blonde Victoria?s Secret model. Camila doesn?t look interchangeable with all of his past model girlfriends. Camila?s actually really pretty (and very young-looking).
In other Leo news, apparently he?s taking a pay cut to work with Quentin Tarantino again on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. That?s the movie about the Manson murders, where Leo and Brad Pitt will be playing Sharon Tate?s neighbors. Leo normally gets a $20 million paycheck, but he?s taking a cut and maybe he?ll get a back-end deal.
PS? I didn?t mention his jeans because the last time I talked sh-t about a pair of jeans, I swear to God, commenters got crazy-salty about it. But I do want to know where he got those jeans and whether they sell men?s jeans there?
