She’s always happy to use her fame to benefit a good cause, and last night (November 18) Katharine McPhee was spotted at the VH1 Save the Music Big Shopping Holiday Event in New York City.
The “American Idol” alum looked lovely as she struck a few poses for the paparazzi, sporting a black scoopneck top with a black skirt, red patterned stockings and red heels.
As for her blonde coif, Katharine says she’s loving the lighter look and having lots of fun, though it’s definitely more work to maintain than her natural dark locks.
“Depending on what I have going on, [I go to the stylist] every three-and-a-half, four weeks. Right now I’m almost at the too dark roots stage. So I get to play around with hats. Peter Savitt cuts my hair. This is the same haircut I had during Fashion Week, but it’s just been growing out and I’ve been flattening it.”

While she’s usually quite the pleasurable lady, it seems as if even Rihanna can be a diva.
The singer has been in London promoting her new album, Rated R, and apparently wasn’t too happy with her driver after he picked her up three minutes late.
One source says, “She was with a massive entourage and one was on the phone to the driver, asking where he was.”
But it didn’t end there. “Suddenly Rihanna started shouting in the face of this guy, saying: ‘Where the f*** is my car?’ After another minute, she squawked, ‘I mean it guys, you’ve now got 30 seconds to get me my car or someone is losing their employment. I f***ing mean it, 10 seconds and I get nasty’.”
Just a few minutes later, her car arrived. “The driver was so panicked, he almost drove the wrong way down Piccadilly Circus,” told the source.

Pamela Anderson’s sex tape has come back to bite her.
The blonde bombshell tells all on an interview that is being aired Friday that includes how she had to tell her two sons about her sex tape made with ex-husband Tommy Lee.
Her tape was brought to attention by her 2006 cameo appearance in “Borat” and she felt she needed to come clean to 12 year-old son Brandon, and 11-year-old son Dylan.
“I knew kids were going to watch the film and there was a reference to the tape in the movie and they’re that age and, you know, people are going start saying things,” Anderson told British talk-show host Jeremy Kyle.
So how did she break the news? “I just said, ‘Look, Mommy and Daddy were massively in love, we videotaped everything, everything was videotaped, and you’re probably going hear about something at school.’”
The former Baywatch star also reveals in the interview moments and details about her wild personal life that includes drinking, drugs, her marriage to Lee, living with Hepatitis C and her recent financial problems.
She speaks about her past of cocaine usage and claimed that she stopped drinking because it made her “crazy.”
“I haven’t had a drink in a month, I don’t drink,” she says. “Champagne - sometimes I’ll drink it and I’ll get a little crazy, doing back flips and, you know, wrestling people on the floor. But I’m taking a break right now.”
Anderson also takes time to admit that she herself is going through the hard times and spent $5 million on a Malibu house right before running out of money.
“I’m going to sell it,” she says. “I hate (that). People commit suicide over constructions. Relationships break down over constructions and I can see why. It rips your heart out.”

Here?s Kiki Dunst on the cover of Allure?s December issue. The cover shot is a pretty picture of her, and Allure has a behind-the-scenes slideshow of the shoot. Maybe I?m biased, but I think she looks slightly drunk on the cover. Maybe it?s just the way she looks, though. Or maybe it?s all of those reports that she?s constantly getting hammered on straight vodka all the time. Maybe it?s because she acts like a vapid, drunk teenager, even when she?s testifying in a court of law. In any case, the pictures are pretty enough, but her interview is rough. Most people are making a big deal about Kiki saying that she and her ex Jake Gyllenhaal are ?not good friends? and how they don?t keep in touch. Personally, I don?t find that very scandalous. What did interest me was Kiki?s musings on America. Oh, yes. It is epic.
So much for hanging with your exes.
In the December issue of Allure, Kirsten Dunst admits that she and ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal don’t exactly keep in touch.
“It would be nice to see him,” she says. “But we’re not good friends.”
The couple — who had shared an L.A. home and a dog named Atticus — split in 2004 after about two years together.
Now 28, Gyllenhaal has been in a relationship with Reese Witherspoon since early 2007.
The 27 year-old Dunst tells Allure that she’s single and living in New York City. Any notable guests at her apartment? “My girlfriends will sleep in bed with me, but no guests, not long-term, anyway.”
The actress, who describes her life as “totally regular,” recently took an eye-opening cross-country road trip with a pal, visiting Graceland, New Orleans and the Grand Canyon.
“After we were done, I was like, ‘Wow, America is so poor,’” she tells the magazine. “Just the towns you come across — all that’s there are restaurants and gas stations. There are beautiful stretches of pasture, but for the most part, people live simply. The East and West Coast are so different from the rest of America.”

Now, first, just so I don?t go to hell, let me explain in a nice way what I think Kiki was trying to say. I think she was speaking to the larger financial diversity between the extreme, superfluous wealth she?s seen for years in Los Angeles and New York, and she?s trying to voice her genuine surprise and admiration for how ?everybody else? lives.
Now, to bash Kiki - just because ?everybody else? in America doesn?t have the latest purebred teacup poodle in the latest Louis Vuitton handbag, driving the latest Bentley, wearing the latest Christian Dior sack, doesn?t mean we?re ?poor?. And Kiki?s inane, drunk ?wow, you guyz is so poor!? mouth-fart doesn?t do much to help the image many of the ?everybody else? has of the New York and Los Angeles. Plus, I dislike how Kiki says ?the East and West Coast are so different from the rest of America.? As if ?East Coast? is synonymous with ?New York and maybe Boston but nothing else? and ?West coast? is synonymous with ?Malibu?. There are a lot of ?poor? people living on both coasts, as well as in the rest of America. But, we?re all ?poor? compared to Kiki.

Mariah Carey?s continuing her epic diva tour through the U.K. And thankfully, the press is there to document every little bit of it. And I?m not saying that with sarcasm ? I really do relish reading about all her ridiculous demands. It?s the stuff legends are made of. Today?s demands? That she be surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves while she turns on the Christmas lights at a shopping center.
When I turn on a mall?s Christmas lights, I traditionally demand 40 tigers and three flamingos. I like a nice 1980s Pink and yellow color scheme. Mariah is a little more classic with her all-white demands. To her credit, she did not demand that the kittens have their eyelids encrusted with Swarovski crystals nor their nails painted in alternating red and Pink hues. So I think it could have been a lot worse. Nonetheless, the kittens were a no-go. The final dove status remains unclear. Uptight British jerks.
As one of the world’s biggest stars, Mariah Carey doesn’t know the meaning of the word No. But it appears Britain’s health and safety officials are about to teach her. They have flatly turned down her demands to be surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves as she turns on a shopping centre’s Christmas lights. Miss Carey, 39, wants confetti shaped like butterflies, her favourite insect, to shower over her at the end of her appearance at the Westfield complex in West London. The American singer had issued a string of extravagant requirements in return for her appearance at the Westfield complex in West London.
The list - known in showbusiness circles as a ‘rider’ - included being driven by Rolls Royce along a Pink carpet right to the Pink podium where she is to wave a wand to turn on the lights. A source revealed the model of car had to be changed six times before she was finally happy. Miss Carey, 39, wants confetti shaped like butterflies, her favourite insect, to shower over her at the end. She has also requested an entourage of 15 along with about 80 security guards.
However, it appears her demands for white kittens and doves - which were already proving difficult to track down - were just too much for her hosts. A source said: ‘We did manage to source the doves that we were going to release into the sky, but the kittens proved terribly difficult. ‘In the end, it was made clear that due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield. ‘We do not allow pets into Westfield - that rule would apply for everyone. We have worked extremely hard to make sure that Mariah’s event is fantastic. Even the model of car had to be changed six times to one that her people liked.’
Before health and safety stepped in, finding 20 pure white kittens was giving Miss Carey’s hosts a headache. The simplest way would be to hire them from one of Britain’s animal acting agencies. But it was thought impossible to provide so many at short notice. Pet shops have the same problem. One worker at a shop in South-West London said last night: ‘We could get you one but not 20. For starters, all-white kittens are not all that common in Britain.’

Cops were called to Paris Hilton’s house late Tuesday night after she got into a drunken shoving match with boyfriend Doug Reinhardt in the middle of her driveway. But of course, Paris is claiming it was all just a misunderstanding on the part of the LAPD. She told TMZ
“Doug and I were in bed, sound asleep, when Doug’s houseguests from hell got into an argument. We had nothing to do with it. Doug told the LAPD that his guests’ fight was over and that we had nothing to do with it.”
Except that’s not how the neighbors remember it, because it’s not what actually happened:
A neighbor [witnessed] Paris in her driveway screaming at Doug and watched as the two engaged in a mutual shoving match. And then there’s the LAPD, who tells us after arriving they actually made Paris get out of bed so they could check for injuries.
Well, she’s clearly lying. Cops don’t usually frisk you for something someone else did. Unless you’re a black man driving an expensive car, in which case it really goes without saying.

“I’m always down for a burger, I love them and I eat them,” says Kardashian, 28. “But this is the first commercial they’ve ever done for anything but a burger. The salads are healthy, and it totally fits what I’m about right now.”
“The commercials are iconic. You’ll never forget Paris washing that car! So I just wanted to make mine as hot and sultry as all of theirs.”
The reality star got into making the spot her own. “I told them about my life and how I’m such a neat freak, but I love to have bed picnics ? I put out my towel and eat in bed, and then when it gets all messy I take a hot bubble bath after to wash it off. You’ll see that sexy wow factor in this one.”
The now notoriously healthy eater still indulges in a little red meat now and again, but it is childhood Carl’s Jr. memories that she still holds dear to her heart. “When Kourtney went to school in Arizona we drove out there for the first time and stopped and of course got burgers,” she recalls.
“And driving to Las Vegas, my dad would take the family and we’d stay at Circus Circus and we always stopped at Carl’s Jr,” she says. “I remember this food fight my sisters and I all had in the back of the van ? it was so funny. We got in so much trouble!”

But this is the father of my baby — I needed everyone to just get over it.” In the end, Kourtney’s pleas for peace didn’t win over her family — Scott did. “He just started trying so much harder,” Khlo tells Life & Style. Case in point: “He put the crib together — no one asked him to,” Khlo says. “He’s not a manual labor kind of guy, but for him to put the crib and changing table together meant so much to Kourtney.” The transformation isn’t lost on Kourtney. The tension “was really intense for a few months,” she says. “But I feel like if that stuff hadn’t happened, things wouldn’t feel as good as they do today.”

Nicole Richie’s friends are happy that the busy star has checked herself into the hospital - because she has been working “nonstop” over the past few months and needs some down time.
Richie is in Los Angeles’ Ceders Sinai where her rep says she is being treated for pneumonia.
The Simple Life star recently gave birth to son Sparrow in September with Joel Madden, who already have 22 month-year-old daughter Harlow.
Richie began feeling achy early on November 9.
“Nicole began feeling sick, and has pretty much been in bed,” a source said. “She didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but she was exhausted and couldn’t take care of Harlow and
Sparrow the way she normally does. Nicole spent most days in bed, and the kids were brought in to her, since she was feeling so icky.”
Friends made sure that Richie was doing okay. “Joel was out of the town the entire first week she was sick and he didn’t realize how serious it was. Friends were calling and stopping by to check in on her while Joel was away.
Joel quickly realized it was much more serious. “When he got back he was worried and realized she didn’t have [just] a little flu bug.”
“Nicole has been working very hard since giving birth to Sparrow in September,” the source added. “She really is a stay-at-home mom with the kids all day long and then she goes to work on her House of Harlow line.
But with kids and work, she was forgetting to rest. “She puts the kids to bed and then has a little quiet time to herself around 9pm. All the work and nonstop going out has been a lot for her right after giving birth.”
“She’s doing better and getting great care,” the friend says of Richie’s hospital visit. “It’s time for a speedy recovery.”

This is Leighton Meester at an American Eagle event two days ago. She looks? horrible. I have no defense of this outfit. I have no defense for the purple eyeshadow (really?) and the too-bright lipstick. I?ve always thought Leighton was so beautiful, in that adorable, dimpled, sweet way, much like Rachel McAdams. But Leighton tries too hard. I think she resents her dimples. I think she wants to be hardcore, like some vampy bombshell. And she?s not. I mean, I?ll buy that she?s not some sweet-as-can-be little darling. But by trying too hard, she just looks desperate and sad.
But these photos aren?t even the only time Leighton has tried to bang into our minds how hardcore she is. The girl also posed for GQ in a leather bustier and a vapid, drugged, trying-too-hard, glazed-over look. Oh, and her legs are spread too. Ugh. Leighton was declared GQ?s ?Obsession of the Year? in the December issue, and they even sat down for a little interview with Leighton. The writer notes that she ?lunges for a strip of bacon? which actually makes me like her a little. But not that much:

There isn’t a single self-respecting male who watches the CW’s lusciously bitchy comic soap about juvenile stylistas navigating the social spiderweb of New York’s Upper East Side. Or at least that’s what we hear it’s about?because, of course, we have never seen this Gossip Girl, and honestly, we had to ask a young woman at work, because we’re always riveted by Ultimate Fighting and chain-saw competitions.

So, is Leighton really this down-to-earth and cool? Or is she trying desperately to change up her image with some trying-too-hard vampy appearances. I guess it?s too much to ask that girls fall into either the ?Kristen Stewart? or the ?Megan Fox? categories. But doesn?t it seem like Leighton is actually more Kristen Stewart, but she?s trying to be like Megan Fox? That?s just sad.

Someone is finally telling Mariah Carey no, and this time it’s Britain’s health and safety officials. They flat-out denied her request to be flanked by twenty white kittens and a hundred white doves when she illuminates the Westfield Shopping Center London next week. The Daily Mail says
The singer had issued a string of extravagant requirements in return for her appearance at the Westfield complex, [including] being driven by Rolls Royce along a Pink carpet right to the Pink podium where she is to wave a wand to turn on the lights.
Miss Carey [also] wants confetti shaped like butterflies to shower over her [and has] requested an entourage of 15 along with about 80 security guards.
However, her demands for white kittens and doves were turned down. A source said: ‘Due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield.’
Safety for the kittens, I presume. White kittens are roughly the same size and shape as a Hostess Snoball. Having them at arm’s length from Mariah Carey could really prove disastrous.

This is the new trailer for Nine, the musical starring Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Daniel Day-Lewis and Kate Hudson, amongst others. The whole thing is set to Kate Hudson singing ?Cinema Italiano?. That?s really her voice. And that?s really her dancing, too. While I don?t think Kate Hudson should give up her film career for a music career, I?m finding Kate?s voice a lot stronger than I expected. And she seems like a natural dancer, so that?s good too. Considering this is the second trailer released (the first was overlaid with Fergie?s rendition of ?Be Italian?), some are saying Kate Hudson will be pushed (by the studio) come awards time. Entertainment Weekly even wrote a piece asking ?Is anyone rooting for a Kate Hudson comeback??
The new trailer for Nine is all Kate Hudson most of the time. Yes, we get shots of Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, and Fergie?s breasts, but it?s Hudson?s ?Cinema Italiano? production number that?s the focus.
Which makes me wonder if Hudson herself is supposed to be a draw, or if the filmmakers just wanted us to see a sparkly set and costume and her song was an eye-catcher? I?m going with the latter.
Hudson doesn?t have the best track record and needs Nine to get her back on track. At the very least, it gives her something worthwhile to talk about when she tapes her Inside the Actors Studio this week in New York. Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days weren?t going to fill an hour.

Kate and some of the stars of Nine were on Oprah on Wednesday to promote the film. I?m totally bummed that I missed Daniel Day-Lewis?s interview, because that man makes me warm? in the pants. I did see Marion Cotillard - who is not the best interview, at all. She?s very earnest and sweet, but she doesn?t say anything about anything. However, Marion made Kate seem like a genius. Kate kept smacking her lips, giggling and saying ?ye-ah? and ?uh?like?uh?. Considering Sophia could eat most of these young girls in her sleep, this one is pleasantly surprising. Sophia told the British papers: ?Daniel Day-Lewis is incredible. He is hypnotic, magical, beautiful and brilliant; but he is also very scary. Every time I did a scene with him he was so deep and so real that it was almost intimidating.? Sophia plays his mother. God, I can?t wait for this movie.

I often wish TMZ would fill in more details in their stories. They usually just list the facts, and when they’re particularly explosive, I want to know more dirt. In this recent story on Joe Francis’ money problems, they just let us know in a matter-of-fact way that the IRS seized $100 million dollars in cash from Francis’ accounts, that they’ve placed a whopping $33 million lien on his assets, and that he’ll probably have to declare bankruptcy.
Francis avoided additional jail time on federal tax evasion charges by copping a plea in September, which reduced his sentence to time already served and ordered him to pay just $250,000 in restitution. (He chose to serve time on tax evasion charges in a relatively cushy county jail in Nevada over a hardcore jail in Florida, where he was being held for contempt of court. He could have easily met bail in Nevada, but that would have meant returning to Florida, where he was being held without bail, and where jail reduced him to a blubbering mess. He eventually copped a plea in Florida.) Now the IRS says he owes $33 million, and Francis is claiming the government is using an antiquated law against him and that it’s retribution, because everything is a conspiracy to this man:
The IRS wants some serious “Girls Gone Wild” money, because they’ve filed a lien against Joe Francis for a whopping $33,819,087.14 … this according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The Federal Tax Lien doc was filed today. The IRS claims Joe owes the money for 3 years of back taxes — 2001, 2002 and 2003. In 2001, the IRS says Joe didn’t pay $17,658,358. In 2002, the delinquency is $11,238,582.14, and in 2003, he owes $4,922,147.
It was less than 2 weeks ago that Joe got out of a sticky federal tax evasion case by copping a plea and avoiding prison.
Joe told TMZ, “I have no idea what it is.” He says he does not owe the money and, “This is total retaliation for me beating them in court.” Joe says the law the IRS is using hasn’t been used against anyone in 20 years.
Joe says yesterday, the feds seized more than $100,000,000 in cash accounts of his.
Joe says the IRS is forcing him to file for personal bankruptcy, which he will do tomorrow.

Oh well, Joe Francis has to file for bankruptcy and will have to cut back on his lavish lifestyle to pay Uncle Sam. I can’t say I’m sorry for the woman-beating rapist. If you look at all the charges that have been brought against him, some of them definitely shouldn’t have stuck. I don’t think he should have been held without bail in Florida on measly contempt of court charges. This is a guy who farts, swears, and checks his e-mail in court and makes a living off videotaping drunk barely-legal girls. It’s not like he’s going to get much sympathy even if he’s right and the government is somehow targeting him. I can’t think of a pseudo celebrity more worthy of having all their assets seized by the IRS, although Roman Polanski also comes to mind.

Project Runway’s Heidi Klum has said “auf wiedersehen” to her baby weight.
On Wednesday, she revealed her post-baby body as she joined Victoria’s Secret supermodels Wednesday as they promoted the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC.
Klum, 36, welcomed daughter Lou Oct. 9.
She made her first post-baby appearance Oct. 31 at her annual Halloween bash in L.A., but kept her body covered up in a crow costume.
“I wouldn’t say I’m back in the shape yet,” Klum told Usmagazine.com at bash. “But I don’t know. Everything changes when you get older. It was different when I was 31 with the first one. Now, being 36 with the fourth one, it’s different.”
“I don’t exercise too much — I walk,” she added. “I walk on the treadmill a little bit. I walk on the driveway. I’m very active with the children. When you have three children and two boys, they’re very active. They want to do a lot of things. But you know when you breastfeed, when you eat right, you move around a little bit, that usually does the job.”
Klum - who said she is hosting the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show but not walking in it - added that she’ll gradually increase her workouts.
“For me, it always works to get back into it immediately,” she told Us. “I think that if you wait too long, it kind of sticks on and it stays there forever. I have to be motivated.”
Husband Seal said he is impressed with how amazing she looks after giving birth.
“She just has a knack for all of these things,” he said. “She?s just one of those people ? I say one of those people ? and there isn’t actually anyone like her. But she just has a knack for it. She’s a person who can do pretty much anything. And I got used to that within a few months of knowing her. She’s the ‘it’ woman. She can do anything.”
As for their newborn, Klum told Us the baby looks “like both” her and Seal.
“It?s a mix,” she said. “To be honest, they all look the same when they’re little. They all have beautiful, full head of hair ? black. Beautiful, dark eyes and full lips. They all do look the same in the beginning and then they kind of morph into their own faces.”

In an interview with Parade Magazine last week, Nicolas Cage said that he was headed to Africa for eight days, “but I don?t want to talk too much about it because it?s sort of about my new life in terms of what I want to do with the emphasis on action.” Yesterday Cage was photographed visiting jailed Somali Pirates in Kenya. He said that he hopes to learn more about the situation so that he can “actually make some sense when… I go talk to different U.N. councils and discuss the matter.” Cage’s interest in activism seems to coincide with his high profile financial problems, but good for him for doing something that makes a difference.
An AP article, below, notes that Cage is a “U.N. Goodwill Ambassador on Drugs and Crime,” but I did a search of Cage on the website for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and there’s only information about a UN event he attended in May of this year. It seems as if his ambassador appointment was recent.
MOMBASA, Kenya ? Film star Nicolas Cage has visited a Kenyan prison holding suspected Somali pirates awaiting trial to highlight the problem of piracy in the Indian Ocean.
Inmates danced for the movie star and shook his hand as he toured the Shimo La Tewa prison in the Kenyan coastal town of Mombasa. The prison has become a model for other jails in the country because of the reform work of its chief warden, Wanini Kireri.
Cage, a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador on Drugs and Crime, told The Associated Press Television News on Tuesday that he wanted to meet with some of the suspected Somali pirates, hear their stories and understand what is fueling piracy off the Somali coast.
“Then I’m in a position where I can actually make some sense and talk about it when I go back to the States where I go talk to different U.N. councils and discuss the matter,” Cage said.
Cage also gave out awards during his Tuesday visit to wardens in recognition of their outstanding work. He left Kenya Wednesday.
Somali pirates are currently holding around a dozen ships and more than 200 crew, and attacks have increased in recent weeks as seasonal rains subsided.
On Wednesday, pirates attacked the Maersk Alabama for the second time in seven months, though private guards on board the U.S.-flagged ship repelled the attack with gunfire and a high-decibel noise device.
An international flotilla of warships now patrols the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden, but pirates continue to carry out attacks because of the millions of dollars that can be made from a successful hijacking.

Cage is turning over a new leaf by getting more personally involved in charity, and he also seems to have given up the ridiculous dark toupee. Starpulse has photos of Cage’s visit to Kenya, and he has thinning hair slicked back so that you can see his scalp. I don’t like the greasy hair, but he deserves some credit for giving up the wig. That’s got to be a tough decision and he’ll find a look that works for him.
In terms of piracy off the coast of Somalia, I don’t know much about the situation, but I read a very good editorial earlier this year in the Independant. It seems that big companies were dumping toxic waste and illegally fishing in the Indian Ocean. The Somalis were initially trying to deter ships that were plundering their waters and dumping waste that was making them sick. It turned into piracy and we got the impression through the media that these were ruthless criminals kidnapping innocent people. Some of them definitely were, but there’s much more to it than we might think. There’s extreme poverty and despair in the country, and that needs to be considered when trying to address piracy. That definitely doesn’t excuse kidnapping and killing people, though.

Britney Spears had been grappling with her budding adulthood when she released her third album, simply titled Britney, in 2001. With songs like "Overprotected" and "Let Me Be," Spears seemed to be letting out her adolescent angst. But on the single "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman," which was also featured on the soundtrack for her flick "Crossroads," the singer wanted the world to know that she was ready to be treated like an adult.
For the video, director Wayne Isham just wanted to have Britney out in nature — even if the setting seemed a bit dangerous for a pop star. "I go, 'Let me check it out first,' " Isham told MTV News about having Britney stand on the edge of a cliff. "She understood that if my fat ass was out there and I could stand there, then she could stand there," he laughed.

50 cent says Before I Self Destruct is no different from his other three solo LPs; he feels like his back is against the wall every time he releases a new album.
"Absolutely, every project is the same for me," he told MTV News. "It feels like I'm back in the underdog space because I feel that doubt from the public where they go, 'Do you think he can do it again?' [They doubt you can] return to that space where you're generating that interest as before. Not the actual sales, not how people feel about you generally, but overall does it feel the way it felt in 2003? ... But I told them ahead of time, actually getting a chance to hear the record, is that this album was arguably better than Get Rich or Die Tryin'."

Nicole Richie has been hospitalized for pneumonia, MTV News has confirmed. The socialite is currently undergoing treatment for the illness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.
"Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai, where she is being treated for pneumonia," her rep said in a statement to Us Weekly. "She is doing well."
Us reported that the socialite had to skip the November 10 launch of her House of Harlow jewelry at Bebe in L.A., citing illness.
Richie, who has two kids with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, was apparently ill in court Monday while testifying against two paparazzi who she said caused her to get into a car accident. She was granted restraining orders against the photographers.
Over the weekend, she tweeted that she wasn't feeling well. "OK, cold, it's been 6 days," she wrote. "Let's part ways graciously & keep it moving."
In September, Richie gave birth to her second child, son Sparrow James Midnight Madden. She and Madden already had a daughter, 2-year-old Harlow. "I couldn't be happier," Richie told People magazine about being a mom. "The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I'm right where I belong."
In the issue, Richie dished that her daughter is absolutely smitten with her younger brother. "I'm glad I had a girl before I had a boy," Richie said. "She just loves him so much." Madden added that their daughter isn't rough with her little brother. "She's very gentle with him," he said.

Mariah Carey has made a big deal about how she?s not really a diva and how the epic stories about her are ridiculous urban legends. Problem is, after she said that, she continued being a diva. Makes it a little hard to buy her hype. Mariah showed up an hour late for London?s ?This Morning? show. She once famously cancelled an appearance on a breakfast show claiming she?s ?not a morning person.? Ridiculous. And that ?argument? doesn?t even hold here, since Mariah?s appearance was being pre-taped in the afternoon.
He has a reputation as one of the most mild mannered presenters on television. But even Phillip Schofield lost his patience following an appearance by notorious diva Mariah Carey on This Morning. The singer had agreed to be interviewed and perform her new single on the morning chat show, but infuriated Schofield and his co-presenter Holly Willoughby by turning up an hour late. She was due to arrive at 1pm but crew were left waiting around while Miss Carey, 40, - who once cancelled an appearance on a breakfast radio show saying she was ‘not a morning person’ - made her way from her hotel.
She finally arrived at 2pm - but not before Schofield had posted a series of irate messages on his personal Twitter page, which currently has 300,000 followers. Thankfully the show was not being filmed live. It was pre-recorded on Monday afternoon and will go out next Thursday. But he wrote at 1.15pm: ‘Sitting here twiddling our thumbs waiting for Mariah Carey.. la la la laaa.’
Half an hour later he sarcastically wrote: ‘Her people have arrived!’ Although there was still no sign of Miss Carey. He added: ‘Think I will give her until two o’clock.’ But he was further angered when, after finally arriving at the studios she delayed proceedings further by changing her mind over what outfit to wear. A clearly frustrated Schofield then wrote: ‘She’s changing her mind about what she’s wearing!!!!!’
When the interview was over, the presenter then said that she had apologised for her behaviour. He messaged fans saying: ‘She was subtly apologetic for being an hour late and yes, an entourage the size of Denmark’.
However, there was one last hiccup before Carey left the building. Schofield, who had earlier taken a picture of the star to upload to his Twitter page, was told by her publicity team that Mariah wanted to approve the picture first and banned the shocked presenter from using it. He wrote: ‘Going to be a delay in the posting of the Mariah pic I’m afraid. Her people have asked for picture approval. Nicely predictable eh?’

It?s vintage Mariah. You?re supposed to be thrilled if she shows up at all. Honestly I could deal with the hour late, and would probably expect that of most celebrities. Especially with Mariah?s reputation. But the whole debating over the outfit at the last minute thing would really push me over the edge. And if she?s got an entourage the size of Denmark, you?d think someone could get it together enough to make sure she?s got the outfit figured out beforehand. I would bet you anything that even though it was 2 o?clock in the afternoon, this was still Mariah?s first activity of the day, which is probably why she was so late and disorganized. Perhaps seeing the play-by-play documented on Twitter will make her a little more mindful of why people call her a diva.
