For weeks/months, I?ve detailed my disbelief regarding the reporting around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce?s wedding. I truly believed that Taylor and Travis were executing some kind of misinformation campaign to hide their real wedding plans. The reporting was just too absurd a wedding in New York, at Madison Square Garden? On or around the Fourth of July?? Come on, that?s fake as hell, right? Wrong. That was actually the plan this whole time. The reporting was correct. It wasn?t a misinformation campaign. Mayor Mamdani had the inside scoop too, as it turns out. The NY Times confirmed that all signs are pointing to an MSG wedding on July 3rd. Good lord.
One of the biggest events of the summer is still a mystery: When and where are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce getting married? Some powerful clues are emerging.
A permit was filed with New York City to close the streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to midday July 4 for an event on July 3, according to three people who have knowledge of the matter. Several members of the Kansas City Chiefs have booked hotel rooms for dates around July 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, according to a person told of the accommodations.
A fourth person, a city official who was briefed on the preparations, said it more bluntly: Madison Square Garden is planning to host the wedding festivities on July 3.
Winick Productions, a prominent event planning company that has helped produce major red carpet events including at Madison Square Garden, filed an application with the city?s Street Activity Permit Office in early June. The company requested authorization to set up a tent or canopy outside the arena for the event, which it said would include 500 to 999 attendees. It also said that trucks would need space to load and unload materials at the arena. A representative for Winick Productions, which is based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, declined to comment when reached by a reporter on Tuesday.
But Amtrak police officers, who patrol the station beneath the arena, have been told to expect a Swift wedding the weekend of July 4. Such an event would bring a spectacle to Midtown Manhattan in the height of an already busy tourist season. On July 4, the annual fireworks show in Lower Manhattan will be bigger than usual for the nation?s 250th birthday, and a flotilla of tall ships from around the world will sail into New York Harbor. The city has also seen an influx of visitors for the FIFA World Cup, and a game is scheduled on July 5.
?Of course Ms. Swift could be undertaking an intricate ruse. But New York City agencies are proceeding with the expectation that a major Swift event will happen on July 3, said the people who have knowledge of the plans. While the sports arena might seem like an unusual wedding venue, it is popular for lavish events, including the 1974 wedding of the musician Sly Stone.
And there are obvious draws for Ms. Swift: The venue?s highly controlled and windowless environment provides security and privacy, and, with reports of plans for a custom stage, it would be an ideal setting should Ms. Swift or her celebrity friends want to perform. There is a discrete entrance and ramp to the arena that allows black cars to bring celebrities inside.
The couple would also be able to control images coming from the event in a way that would be difficult to do in an open air venue. There has also been speculation that the Garden might not be the site of the actual nuptials. The couple might exchange vows elsewhere ahead of time and could use the venue for a reception.

The NYT is trying to hedge their bets and say that even with the permits and the city workers? preparations, it could all still be a ruse. But I don?t think Taylor and Travis would do *that* much just to throw people off the scent. I think it?s actually happening at MSG. Taylor Swift is genuinely going to have her wedding at the Garden. It?s bonkers. I?ve already seen the Swifties swarm on anyone criticizing their queen?s taste level, but I think it?s totally legitimate to ask why in the world Taylor Swift would decide to RENT OUT THE GARDEN FOR HER WEDDING. It?s an admission that the whole thing will be a circus no matter what, I guess.

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift in NYC on Monday, June 15th. She was spotted entering the Electric Lady Studio, which is the same recording studio where she recorded the bulk of The Tortured Poets Department. She?s been getting regularly pap?d outside of the Electric Lady for years now. She even brought Matt Healy there when they were together. So? is she already working on a new album? Deep sigh.
As for Taylor?s outfit here, I like it? It?s very matchy, but I love it when people coordinate their leather accessories. Her street-style/date-night style has vastly improved throughout this year. Someone hilariously suggested that Taylor?s fashion choices are so much better because Blake Lively isn?t styling her anymore. Could be!! Taylor?s cashmere top is from Guest in Residence, which is Gigi Hadid?s line. She paired it with a very on-trend denim style, with Gucci sandals and a coordinated purse.
Meanwhile, these wedding rumors are getting out of control. The New York gossip columns seriously have Taylor and Travis Kelce renting out Madison Square Garden. TMZ has Taylor ?building a massive stage? for the wedding ceremony. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani was giving a security briefing to the media and he said outright that Taylor is getting married in the city on or around Independence Day. What is happening? I honestly do not believe she?s having that kind of wedding extravaganza, you guys. Am I crazy, or is Taylor crazy??

After the San Antonio Spurs beat the New York Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Knicks fans went into Madison Square Garden and literally burned sage. Knicks-fan witches were doing spells to cast out the evil spirits after Donald Trump napped through Game 3. Well, it worked. The Knicks pulled off a miracle in Game 4, and now the Knicks are three games to one against the Spurs. All they need is to win one more game and they?ll have their first championship since the 1970s.
For last night?s MSG game, tons of celebrities were in attendance. Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Mariska Hargitay, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Hailey Bieber, Wu-Tang!!! All were there. So was Taylor Swift and two of the Haim sisters, Alana and Este. Not only did they sit courtside, they coordinated in specially-made t-shirts reading ?Stevie Knicks,? ?Knickole Kidman? and ?Knickelback.? Travis Kelce didn?t come, he probably had other things to do, so Taylor had a girls? night. She was also hanging out with Mariska, who seemed overwhelmed that the Knicks managed to pull off a come-from-behind win. I?m including some cool Knicks stuff below.

I?m truly enjoying this run of ?street style? photos of Taylor Swift in the past week. She and Travis Kelce have been in New York, and Taylor has been popping out every day or every other day. It?s been nice to see her out and about, and her outfits have been cute too. Over the weekend (Saturday evening), Taylor did something she rarely does: ventured outside of Manhattan. Taylor and Travis attended a ?private event? in Brooklyn, at Honey?s bar. It was apparently a friend?s wedding?
Taylor?s gold dress is from Maria Lucia Hohan, and the fabric is silk. It?s expensive, retailing for $2,280. She paired the dress with Aquazzura sandals and an Aquazzura clutch. But the most interesting detail of her look? She bought and wore a suite of opal jewelry which once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor.

It?s the first time she?s worn the entire set in public, which was auctioned publicly in 2011 and has not been seen in its full glory since. Swift modeled the matching chandelier-style earrings, ring, and bracelet?unmistakable, thanks to their pastel opal sheen and sculptural shapes.
It?s believed that Elizabeth Taylor, the classic Hollywood cinema star and muse to Swift?s The Life of a Showgirl, purchased the jewelry set in 1999. It stayed in her expansive collection until its sale at New York auction house Christie?s in 2011. The lot fetched around $6,000, and was part of a staggering, record-breaking $156.7 million day, exceeding all of its original estimates. Today, it remains one of the largest celebrity estate sales ever recorded. Later, the opal and gold suite was sold once again on 1stDibs for $125,000.
Swift?s 2025 music video for ?Elizabeth Taylor? saw her wearing several other pieces from the screen legend?s collection, including a 33-carat Krupp diamond (famously purchased in 1968 by actor Richard Burton as a gift for his wife), a 19th century diamond tiara that Taylor wore to the 1957 Oscars, and a famed suite of Cartier rubies.

So did she buy these pieces or is she borrowing them? I doubt she was the one who purchased them in 2011, but that doesn?t discount the idea that she purchased them from whoever bought them at auction. I feel the same way about this as I did whenever Kim Kardashian wore pieces from Liz Taylor or Marilyn Monroe as if. But even then, just be a good caretaker to those jewels.

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift out in NYC on Thursday. She went to Zero Bond for dinner, and she?s a regular there. Can I just say? I love her outfit here. We always talk about Taylor?s fantastic legs for good reason, because she?s usually showing them off in miniskirts and minidresses, but she also looks great in a wide-leg trouser. This is the second ?street style? look from Taylor in recent days where I?m genuinely like ?oh, she looks really good here.? Per People Magazine, the peplum blouse is from Stella McCartney, retailing for $1,190. The beige trousers and black sandals are from The Row and her cute little black bag is from Fendi (cost: $4500). My one issue with this look? Taylor?s bangs are out of control. They?re SO thick right now.
It?s clear that Taylor keeps wearing white because she?s in a bridal state of mind. For months, we?ve heard that Taylor and Travis Kelce are planning their wedding for the spring or summer, possibly before Travis?s NFL training camp starts. Well, TMZ reports this week that Taylor has been doing something unusual for her wedding invitations she?s just been calling up friends, as opposed to sending out paper invitations or e-vites.
Taylor Swift is skipping traditional save the dates and doing things her own way cause TMZ has learned she is personally calling celeb friends to give them a heads up about her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.
Sources with direct knowledge tell us its not like Taylors mailing out save the dates shes picking up the phone and calling guests herself.
Our sources say the direct outreach is all about keeping the ceremony tightly under wraps and avoiding any potential leaks before the big day. Its true, printed save the dates or invitations do tend to end up going public, but T-Swifts going the extra mile.
Were told Taylor herself has been making some of the calls, with her team handling others, informing A-list invitees they should be ready for a wedding, but not giving away key details just yet. According to our sources, guests have not been told the exact date or location, only that the nuptials are happening this summer and to keep their schedules flexible.

Sounds plausible to me! I?m sure Taylor?s fans would figure it out in two seconds if they got a glimpse of the corner of a paper wedding invitation! But how many A-listers are willing to keep their schedules wide open for Tay & Trav? I don?t know. This week, the New York Times decided to rage-bait music fans for some reason. The NYT Magazine compiled a thankfully unranked list of ?the thirty greatest American songwriters alive.? Included on the list? Taylor Swift, who gave an on-camera interview to the magazine. Two notable things happened in the interview: Taylor revealed that she?s still super-close to Jack Antonoff, and Taylor took a swipe at her own snake-fam army for being obsessed with decoding her blind item songs. Girl!!
Taylor Swift may be prone to leaving Easter eggs for her fans, but she admits that fans can go to extreme places when trying to decipher her songs and that extensive decoding is still ?weird? for her. While sitting down with the New York Times for being featured on their 30 Greatest Living American Songwriters list released Tuesday, the singer-songwriter reflected on how the inspiration behind her songwriting has become an obsession for fans.
?There?s corners of my fanbase who are gonna take things to a really extreme place,? Swift said. ?There?s nothing I can do about that. There?s people who are gonna try to, like, do detective work, figure out the details ? who is that about? What is this??
?When it gets a little bit weird for me is when people act like it?s a paternity test,? she said. ?Like, ?This song?s about that person.? Because I?m like, ?That dude didn?t write the song, I did.? But that?s part of it,? she added.
Despite the intense analysis, Swift expressed the importance of abiding by her own ?perception? when writing the song.
?You have to hold tight to your perception of your art and your relationship with it, and then you kind of have to [mimes blowing it out] there it goes. Hope you like it. And if you don?t now, hope you do in five years, and if you never do, then I was doing it for me anyway.?
Swift also took the opportunity to address her friendship with Jack Antonoff and said, ?Jack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends.? She also shared insight on their ?rant bridge,? calling it a ?stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting.? She pointed to her 2014 song ?Out of the Woods,? 2019?s ?Cruel Summer,? and ?Is It Over Now?? from 2023 as examples.

There?s a lot I could say but I?ll hold my tongue for the most part, because I don?t want to cause a lot of arguments. No one can argue with a few of these statements though: her blind-item songs are almost overwhelmingly obvious. While she?s written a few songs which are true mysteries, the songs about her exes are barely blind items. Additionally, no one can argue with the fact that Taylor has spent years encouraging her fans and baiting her fans with Easter eggs and blind-items as well. She?s a master of engaging with her fans at that level, so to hear her speak so dismissively of the snake fam?s engagement with those games? it?s fascinating. I mean, she is 36 years old and about to get married. Maybe she legitimately wants to ?mature? as an artist and songwriter (The Life of a Showgirl begs to differ though).

It?s been a minute since Taylor Swift stepped out in New York and didn?t care about being pap?d. That?s what happened yesterday Taylor was out and about in New York with her dad and then, later in the day on Monday, she was out with friends too. There have been so many conspiracies about Taylor?s recent undercover era too, with many fans suggesting that Taylor is deep into wedding planning and she?s trying to keep her movements quiet so her wedding doesn?t turn into a circus. I sort of believe that too, and I believe that Taylor and Travis Kelce will have their wedding before his football preseason starts in August. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the where and when of it all, but I suspect ?Rhode Island in June or July.?
As for these photos, Taylor spent the afternoon and evening at The Jane Hotel (for dinner) and then San Vicente West Village with Jerrod Carmichael, Jack Antonoff and Ashley Avignone. Her outfit is? fine. I actually like her sundress and the Dior purse, but I?m not sold on the shoes. I have a theory about this too I think Taylor is still sort of stuck in her Sex and the City fantasy and she thinks she can just throw together slightly random-yet-high-end looks and that makes her the New Carrie Bradshaw. Is she right?? The bag is the mini Lady Dior, which retails for $9,750 (insane). Her dress is from Staud, and it retails for $325. Her shoes are $1,195 Christian Louboutin. (Note by CB: Shutzs Olga leather sandals are a more affordable alternative at $198 and Old Navy has a Fit and Flare sleeveless midi dress thats similar to Taylors for just $25!)
The other Taylor news this week is that she?s filed trademarks on her voice and likeness, likely to protect herself and her music from all of this AI bullsh-t. Considering that Donald Trump has literally posted and amplified AI-generated images of Taylor Swift, I don?t blame her.

Taylor Swift?s docuseries, End of an Era, has been airing on a weekly basis on Disney+. I haven?t watched it, but I?ve enjoyed some of the stories that are coming out of it. I think I forgot that Taylor?s Eras tour technically began in March 2023 and didn?t end until December 2024. Think back to the start of the tour many believed that she was still with Joe Alwyn at the time, and then the confirmation of their split happened in April 2023. The split announcement came out for two reasons, in my opinion one, Taylor was already starting *something* with Matt Healy, and two, Taylor?s fans noticed that Joe wasn?t around for the first tour dates. Once Joe and Tay were officially over, Healy happened and it was a whirlwind romance full of melodrama and racism. It was over by June 2023. Then, that same summer, Taylor began seeing Travis Kelce. Why this walk down memory lane? Because Taylor references her ?two breakups? during the Eras tour.
Taylor Swift credits her Eras Tour for helping her get through tough times. ?The Fate of Ophelia? singer, 36, revealed in episode four of her The End of an Era docuseries on Disney+ that she faced lots of heartache in her personal life amid the worldwide tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024.
There were points in this tour when the tour was really the only thing that was really keeping me going in my life, the Grammy winner admitted. But there were never points in the tour where I thought, Oh, you know what? I want to quit the tour ?cause the tour?s hard. No, my personal life was hard. I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour, and that?s a lot of breakups actually.
The Grammy-award winner was seemingly referring to her split from British actor Joe Alwyn, 34, whom she dated for over six years before the pair called it quits in early 2023, and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, with whom she had a brief romance following her split from Alwyn.
The show was what gave me purpose and was what I could use to get me out of bed. So, the tour has never been the hard thing in my life, Taylor shared in her documentary. The tour has been the thing that has allowed me to find purpose outside of the s that was going wrong in my life.
Men will let you down, the Eras Tour never will, she added with a small smile.
Calling writing music a form of therapy, Taylor said of her 11th studio album, Tortured Poets album is like this purge of? just, like, everything, everything bad that I felt for two years. It was a really rough time in my life, so the songs reflect that. Feeling like I?m not a person, I?m just this like, big conglomerate that no one sees as a real human being and especially not men that I date. And in the whole process just being like?nothing, nothing works. There?s no one for me in the world.

As it was happening, it didn?t feel like the three relationships played out all in a row so quickly, but yeah? that timeline is more compressed than I recall. Of course, once she started up with Healy, I always felt like? that relationship only really made sense if she was developing feelings for Healy at the same time she was winding things down with Alwyn. I?ve always believed there was an overlap, but no one has ever really confirmed the timeline. Alwyn always kept his mouth shut, which drove Taylor crazy too. He didn?t bad-mouth her, he didn?t participate in her drama, and he walked away relatively unscathed. Anyway? it?s crazy to think that Matt Healy was really the turning point of Taylor?s adult life, but there you go.

Taylor Swift appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, ahead of the premiere of her Disney+ docuseries End of an Era. The concert film wasn?t enough, Taylor had to do a tour series! I don?t blame her for documenting all of it, truly. The Eras Tour was one of the most bonkers spectacles in music history. Taylor was particularly chatty with Colbert, and she was the only guest, so their interview, all told, was well over 30 minutes, and it was broken up into four videos (which I?m including below). She wore a $1,695 David Koma dress which has a sort of 1980s holiday-party vibe. I don?t know if Taylor does this on purpose, but her styling is so bad, you forget that she?s a billionaire with access to the best fashion and style advice in the world. She?s like, ?no, my bangs are awesome and this necklace really goes with the dress,? and she could not have worse style instincts.
As for the interview, she was cute she talked about her cats briefly and how they were on tour with her, she talked about the engagement to Travis, she talked at length about how she doesn?t want a home recording studio because she likes her homes to be chill and peaceful. Colbert pressed her on her five favorite Swift songs and she couldn?t come up with a hard-and-fast top five on the fly, but she did say that ?All Too Well? is probably her #1. It was a good interview, honestly.

Taylor Swift was out last night in New York. She and her friend Este Haim went to Chez Marguax, one of several elite private clubs of which Taylor is a member. I actually thought this was Alana Haim, because damn, those Haim sisters look alike. But everyone swears it?s Este. Taylor?s look was appropriately wintery it?s been cold as fk this week on the East Coast and mid-Atlantic. Tay wore Louis Vuitton a $6,400 toggle coat and $2,370 boots. Crazy prices, but you?re paying for that visible Louis Vuitton patch on the coat. You could probably get something equally as cute for $60 at Burlington Coat Factory, but it wouldnt have the LV patch.
On Sunday, Taylor was in Kansas City, watching the Chiefs lose to the Houston Texans. As someone who doesn?t follow football whatsoever, it really feels like the Chiefs are having an exceptionally bad season. The Chiefs? next game is on Sunday, they?ll play the Chargers at Arrowhead. Will Taylor show up? Probably.
Incidentally, there?s a lot of sports-commentary chatter about the Chiefs? poor season and whether Travis Kelce will retire next year. There?s been chatter about Kelce?s retirement since the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl, to be fair. Stephen A. Smith told People Magazine: ?I think that you could see the handwriting thats on the wall. The guy is so talented and there are so many other things that he could do outside of football that now would be the time for him to step away. I will tell you that thats what I think hes going to do. Obviously he has a beautiful lady in his life, where theres a lot of good things for him to go home to. And so, because of that, I think the combination of all of those things. I sort of agree with this elite athletes dream of going out in a blaze of glory, and Travis clearly thought he had a chance to win one more Super Bowl, but maybe the signal for him to retire is the growing sense that he?s simply stayed too long. I don?t know! It?s up to him, but I?d hate to see him overstay his welcome like Tom Brady.
