In recent days, Blake Lively?s lawyers informed Justin Baldoni?s legal team that Blake intended to withdraw her claim of ?emotional distress? from her lawsuit. Baldoni?s team pointed out that A) Lively had refused to turn over any of her medical records or therapy records which would prove ?emotional distress,? and B) that she was not withdrawing her emotional distress claim with prejudice (meaning, she wanted to have the right to refile at a later time). Well, long story short, there was a hearing. Baldoni?s side doesn?t get to ?compel? Lively to turn over her records, but Lively doesn?t get to refile any specific emotional distress claim.
The judge overseeing the Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni lawsuit has decided that the actress? claims for emotional distress are dead. The ruling comes after a tense back in forth between the dueling sides, with Baldoni?s lawyers filing a motion to compel her to turn over her medical records and Lively fighting that move.
Judge Lewis Liman wrote this morning that Baldoni?s motion to compel is denied ?based on Plaintiff?s representation that the relevant claims will be withdrawn. Lively?s request that ?because the parties have agreed to dismiss Ms. Lively?s tenth and eleventh causes of action . . . the Court exercise its inherent authority and authority under Rule 15 to dismiss them without prejudice? is denied without prejudice to renewal. The parties shall stipulate to whether the dismissal is with or without prejudice, or Lively shall renew her request by formal motion. For avoidance of doubt, if the claims are not dismissed, the Court will preclude Lively from offering any evidence of emotional distress.?
In short, Judge Liman shut down the possibility of Lively changing her mind and turning over her medical records. Lively can choose to try to reach an agreement with Baldoni about dismissing the claims with prejudice ? meaning without the right to refile ? or she can roll the dice and ask the judge to dismiss the claims without an agreement in a bid to have the court dismiss them without prejudice. Either way, Lively?s attorneys can no longer present evidence of her alleged emotional distress claims.

If you go to the full Variety story, they included some long-winded comments from Lively?s attorneys, who insist that emotional distress is still part of her case, it?s just that their case is being streamlined, etc. It comes across as Lively?s side overexplaining and trying to convince people that it?s not a loss for Blake.
Interestingly enough, this wasn?t the only big headline from the Baldoni-Lively mess. The Daily Mail had a big story about Blake and Taylor Swift?s falling out, and how Blake is barraging Taylor with texts, emails and messages. According to the Mail?s sources, Taylor hasn?t responded at all and Tay is ?ghosting? her after the subpoena drama. Hours later, Team Lively managed to get this exclusive placed in People Mag:

According to the insider, ?Taylor is working to trust Blake again but it?s going to take some time.?

I have my theories about what?s really happening between Blake and Taylor Swift, and if I?m even partially right, Blake is doing herself no favors by running to People Mag to give them exclusive updates on their friendship. Even in Blake?s narrative, she?s fallen out with one of the most powerful women in entertainment. That alone should make Blake pause and stop briefing People. Taylor is all about control image-control, control of the narrative, control of her business. All I?m saying is that even if Taylor wants to give Blake another chance, Taylor is probably disgusted that Blake keeps running to People and using Taylor?s name in this way.

In 2019, Scooter Braun?s Ithaca Holdings purchased all of the masters held/owned by Big Machine. Those masters included Taylor Swift?s first six albums. Swift was furious. Swift and her fans went to war with Braun for a while, and within a year of the sale, Braun off-loaded the Big Machine property to Shamrock Capital for a tidy profit. In the past six years, Taylor ended up taking Kelly Clarkson?s advice Clarkson randomly tossed off a tweet back in 2019, advising Taylor to rerecord those albums and ask the Swifties to buy the re-recordings. Taylor did just that, and the ?Taylor?s Version? re-rerecordings were massively successful too. Well, after all of that, Taylor has now bought back her masters for her first six albums. The dramatic announcement came on Friday:
In one of the more dramatic business developments in pop music history, Taylor Swift has purchased her catalog of recordings that were initially released through Big Machine Records, after six years of transfers and turmoil. She acquired those six albums and associated visuals from their most recent owner, Shamrock Capital, for an undisclosed nine-figure sum, a price tag that is being characterized by Swift as exceptionally fair and reasonable.
The singer will be reissuing her old Big Machine albums, which were first sold by Big Machine against her wishes in 2019,. But now there will be two fully authorized versions of each of those albums in the marketplace, since she?s saying the re-recorded ?Taylor?s Versions? will continue to be available alongside the originals. Two of those bonus-filled editions have yet to come out, including the long-awaited ?Reputation (Taylor?s Version),? and her statement declares this deal won?t keep the remaining pair of do-overs from still being released.
News of a possible sale by Shamrock to Swift was first reported by the New York Post, but a source close to the negotiations disavowed elements of that story, saying the price tag reported was grossly inflated, and that there was no involvement of Scooter Braun. His Ithaca Holdings bought the catalog in 2019 before Shamrock acquired it from him a year later; he no longer participates in any profit from a sale, and Swift?s camp is adamant he had no part in Shamrock?s decision to sell.
Said the source close to the sale: ?Contrary to a previous false report, there was no outside party who ?encouraged? this sale. All rightful credit for this opportunity should go to the partners at Shamrock Capital and Taylor?s Nashville-based management team only. Taylor now owns all of her music, and this moment finally happened in spite of Scooter Braun, not because of him.?
The source added, ?The rumored price range that was reported is highly inaccurate.? While no price tag will be publicly forthcoming, insiders say the seller was interested in making a good-faith deal and the ultimate price was far closer to the $300 million Shamrock was reported to have paid in 2020 than the far more extravagant $600-million-to-$1 billion the Post hypothesized in its story.
Prior to this week, Swift fans were certain an announcement for ?Reputation (Taylor?s Version)? would be forthcoming on Memorial Day or thereabouts. But for those who still have that as their primary concern, the singer assured fans that her plans to reissue her original albums will not affect plans to put out the final two ?Taylor?s Version? editions, the other of which would be a new version of her debut album ? though she hedge a bit. Don?t expect the new ?Reputation? or ?Taylor Swift (Taylor?s Version)? any time soon, she cautioned in the note, even though songs from a partially re-recorded version of the former album have already been licensed for television (recently appearing in ?The Handmaid?s Tale?).
As she explains in her letter: ?I know, I know. What about Rep TV? Full transparency. I haven?t even re-recorded a quarter of it. The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while Feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief. To be perfectly honest, it?s the one album in those first 6 that I thought couldn?t be improved upon by redoing it. Not the music, or photos, or videos. So I kept putting it off. There will be a time (if you?re into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album to hatch. I?ve already completely re-recorded my album, and I really love how it sounds now. Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about. But if it happens, it won?t be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. It will just be a celebration now.?

Variety mentioned something which I didn?t know about the 2019 Big Machine sale not only did Taylor lose the rights to/ownership of her masters, she didn?t own the rights to her music videos, artwork and concert specials from that era. So now she has the rights to ALL of it, she owns all of it free and clear. As for the money? as Variety notes, their sources are saying that it was closer to $300 million. Page Six?s sources say the final figure was around $360 million. Which sounds like a lot, but consider this: she likely made around $2.5 billion just from the Eras Tour. So, she has the money and she used that money to buy her own work back. Good for her.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were mostly in their undercover era after the Kansas City Chiefs got blown out in the Super Bowl. Tay and Trav went on multiple vacations and there were barely any photos of them for months. But they?re slowly reentering the gossip culture they?ve been seen and photographed at various restaurants on the East Coast, and over the weekend, a fan got some photos of them in West Palm Beach. They had dinner at Harry?s, and they ordered $400 worth of food. When I was writing that story, I was like? why are they in Florida again? My first thought was that the Chiefs training camp has already started, but no NFL training camps dont officially start until July. It?s possible Travis is doing his own ?training camp,? I guess. In any case, People Mag confirmed that Taylor is down in Florida specifically because Travis needs to be there.

We haven?t heard much from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in the past two months, since the Super Bowl really. Travis is still doing the New Heights pod and he did confirm that he plans to return for at least one more season with the Chiefs. But other than that? Travis and Taylor have been in the wind. They?ve been traveling and taking an extended hiatus from everything by the sound of it. From People Mag?s exclusive:
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are making the most of their time off. The 14-time Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs star have enjoyed some downtime following her Eras Tour and the Chiefs run for a three-peat Super Bowl win.
They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. Its a special time for them.
The insider says that Swift, 35, and Kelce, 35, are very serious and in sync, adding: They value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight.
The couple was most recently spotted out and about in March. Kelce and Swift were in Park City, Utah early March, per a video published by Deuxmoi. The couple also stepped out for dinner in New York City on March 14. They also vacationed in Montana after the NFL season ended.

Can I just say? I think it?s cool that they?re traveling within America. Going to ski towns and hanging out in Montana sounds relaxing. I suspect that if they traveled abroad, they would be tracked by fans and their peaceful hiatus would be disturbed. But Taylor?s money buys a lot of privacy, especially within the US. I also suspect that Taylor needed this break more than Travis her Eras Tour was long and grueling. I kind of wonder if she?ll ever undertake something that big again. Kelce said on an episode of ?New Heights? in February that the defeat was a ?tough pill to swallow,? adding, ?Just wasn?t our day. Couldn?t find a lick of momentum..I?m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field.?
Although Swift?s opinion on a potential retirement was taken into consideration, we?re told the final call was ultimately on Kelce, 35.
?He has to be able to physically do it,? an insider says, noting that it?s up to the athlete to feel confident that his body could play a full season again without putting himself at risk for injury. On Feb. 27, Kelce finally broke the news on Pat McAfee?s ESPN show that he would not be retiring yet. ?I?m coming back, for sure,? the Super Bowl champ, who has spent 12 years in the NFL, told the host via a text that was read aloud on the show at the time.
After Kelce finally decided to return to the Chiefs, we?re told Swift was ?happy [with his decision].?

She?s been seen handing cash/tips to staffers at Arrowhead when she goes to Travis?s games too. She?s the kind of rich person who keeps fifties and hundred-dollar bills on hand so she can quickly tip people. Like? Taylor isn?t my fave, but I love that she?s not cheap and she gives out generous tips and bonuses.

Taylor Swift had a nice vibe at the Grammys last night. Travis Kelce did not attend as her date, he?s still preparing for the Super Bowl (this coming weekend), so Taylor was just there to rep her album, The Tortured Poets Department and its six Grammy nominations. She was also there to hang out with friends and, as it turns out, cheer for two of her favorite people in music: Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar. Taylor ended up losing in all six categories in which she was nominated, but she presented Beyonce with the Best Country Album Grammy and she shared a toast with Jay-Z when Beyonce won Album of the Year. Swift was also super-happy for Kendrick when he won Record of the Year for ?Not Like Us.?
Throughout the night she made zero costume changes Taylor wore a fire-red Vivienne Westwood corseted minidress. It was flattering and pretty, and a little bit sexy. I?ve made my peace with the fact that she?s not a huge risk-taker when it comes to fashion, and this feels entirely in her comfort zone. My one complaint is that it?s a bit ice-skater-chic, but again, that?s Taylor. She loves that ?ice dancer princess? look. One sexy element was a delicate chain on her thigh with a charm with the initial ?T?- for Taylor or for Travis.
Are the Swifties mad that Taylor didn?t win another AOTY? I hope not I think if she had lost to someone other than Beyonce, they might feel some kind of way about it, but given Taylor?s clear happiness for her friend, I hope the truce between fandoms holds. Yes, another AOTY win would have been historic, but it was also a historic snub that Beyonce hadn?t won an AOTY Grammy before last night.

Taylor Swift was relatively quiet for several weeks in the new year. Then she got name-checked in Justin Baldoni?s lawsuit, and suddenly Taylor was out and about all over the place. Baldoni isn?t suing Taylor, but he claimed that Blake Lively used Taylor to pressure him into agreeing to Blake and Ryan Reynolds? rewrites. He also included text messages where Blake referred to herself as Khaleesi, and Ryan and Taylor were her ?dragons.? Blake and Taylor have been good friends for years, so I doubt their friendship has been rocked by any of this, but I doubt Taylor appreciates being name-checked in these lawsuits.
As soon as Baldoni sued Blake, Ryan and their publicist, Taylor quickly changed the subject and announced donations to ten charities and foundations dealing with the Southern California wildfires. She posted information about California Community Foundation Fund, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and more. Good for her.
Then on Friday, Taylor stepped out in NYC with her parents, her brother and her friend/stylist Ashley Avignone. They went out to dinner at Nobu, and Taylor wore a great ensemble by AREA, with Chloe boots. Taylor has a pretty epic boot collection, and it?s one of the reasons why she loves colder weather too she can bring out her boots! I actually really like this ensemble and her styling (minus the bangs).
After her New York outing, Taylor made it to Kansas City in time to watch the Playoff game between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans. The Chiefs won, 14-23. At the game, Taylor showed off her latest collected friend: none other than Caitlin Clark, who has challenged Taylor in the ?most-talked about white woman? stakes in the past year. Caitlin is genuinely a Taylor Swift fan she went to at least one Eras concert, and Clark also ?liked? Taylor?s Instagram endorsement of Kamala Harris. Taylor?s ensemble at the Chiefs game was all Chanel, from the Resort 2025 collection. A $9600 tweed coat, ?$4,650 wool jersey romper and $2,250 chain pearl belt. She also wore $1,150 oversize double C Chanel disc earrings and a $5,000 Chanel mini flap bag.?

It?s been a minute since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were together in New York, but that?s where they were over the weekend. On Friday night, they were seen out on a double date with Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley they went to BondST for dinner, and People Mag carried those photos exclusively. On Saturday, Travis and Taylor went to dinner at Chez Margaux, a members-only ?supper club? and nightclub in the Meatpacking District. Taylor is a member of several of those private clubs in New York!
I saw people complaining about Taylor?s ensemble from Saturday night, but I sort of like it? Her coat is Simkhai Ganni, and she carried a Stella McCartney bag. She also wore Louboutins, the red soles of which ?matched? Travis?s hideous ensemble. This is how so many celebrity couples look these days it?s giving Justin and Hailey Bieber, right? The guy looks like he?s coming from the gym or like he slept in his clothes, all while the woman looks like she spent two hours in hair and makeup. It was rainy all weekend across the Eastern seaboard, I?m surprised Taylor?s hair didn?t get frizzy (mine certainly did).
Meanwhile, Page Six recently claimed that Taylor plans on spending more time in Kansas City and Nashville now that the Eras Tour has wrapped. Page Six?s ?insider? claims this will be ?Taylor?s domestic era? where she?s more focused on Travis and her relationship. We?ll see I think Travis enjoys being in New York, and lord knows how much longer he?ll play football.

When Brittany outed herself as a Donald Trump supporter, I think Taylor was simply a bit more careful about being seen with Brittany, but even then, they still hung out and Taylor was still a supportive girlfriend who spent time with Travis Kelce?s friends and teammates. Now that the election is over, Brittany and Taylor are back to being new-BFFs. To the point where Brittany is one of the few people authorized to post private photos of Taylor. Brittany posted these pics from a recent party with Taylor:
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes joined Taylor Swift for an epic Eras Tour wrap party following the end of the superstar?s record-breaking outing. Brittany posted several photos from the big night on her Instagram Wednesday, including a few pictures with the pop star herself.
Guests went all out for the fun theme, wearing homemade friendship bracelets and dressing up in different album eras ? from ?Fearless? to ?Reputation? and ?Lover.?
The 29-year-old wore a sparkling silver fringe mini dress, dazzling boots and a black-and-gray jacket, while her husband, Patrick, rocked a full suit with a black top hat ? nearly identical to the one Kelce wore on stage during Swift?s show in London.
The Grammy winner, for her part, continued her ?Tortured Poets Department? streak in a beautiful black mini dress from Balmain. The design featured a short flared skirt, a sweetheart neckline and was embroidered with beads, sequins and crystals down the front. Swift, 35, rocked her signature red lip and added more sparkle with drop diamond earrings.

Yeah. It looks like Brittany and Taylor?s friendship is back to regularly scheduled programming. Obviously, people are examining these photos for any hint of an engagement ring for Taylor. She seems to be making a point of playing some games with hiding her ring finger. I think that?s all it is games and gossip. If Taylor was engaged, she would either remove the ring for photos or she would just announce it.
