Two days ago, country star Zach Bryan released a one-minute snippet of his latest song ?Bad News.? Keep in mind, the song has not been released yet on any platform. You can?t stream it or download it yet! And it?s already causing so much commotion. You see, Zach is a white guy and a veteran. He?s taken at least one photo with Donald Trump. He was supposed to be MAGA, right? Demographically speaking, Zach Bryan should be singing sh-t like ?Try That In A Small Town? or whatever pro-lynching bullsh-t anthem he can come up with. Instead, Zach?s new song refers to cops as ?motherfkers? and criticizes what ICE is doing to America. Well, MAGA has already started losing their minds. Zach?s song snippet has already garnered a reaction from DHS?s Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs, who told Zach Stick to Pink Skies.? Axios did a lengthy story about the larger MAGA meltdown and more:
Country music star Zach Bryan is facing backlash from fans and MAGA listeners over a new song snippet that criticizes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Bryan joins a chorus of artists and celebrities speaking out against President Trumps agenda and immigration policy. Singers such as Bad Bunny, Shakira and Doechii have specifically called out Trumps immigration policies. Bad Bunny, picked by the NFL to headline next years Super Bowl LX halftime show, fell under scrutiny from MAGA over his comments on immigration enforcement.
ICE has faced widespread scrutiny for its raids, leading to widespread protests and legal challenges nationwide. The White House has been highly critical of anti-ICE backlash, saying it leads to violence against law enforcement.
Three days ago, Bryan shared the song clip on Instagram captioned: the fading of the red, white and blue. The song, seemingly titled Bad News, comes days after Bryan reportedly shattered the record for the largest ticketed concert in U.S. history.
The White House responded to the controversy with puns of Bryans songs: While Zach Bryan wants to Open The Gates to criminal illegal aliens and has Condemned heroic ICE officers, Something in the Orange tells me a majority of Americans disagree with him and support President Trumps great American Revival. Godspeed, Zach! said spokesperson Abigail Jackson in a statement.
Zach Bryan has previously described himself as a total libertarian. But he hasnt waded into politics often, even as his fan base includes many who lean right. In 2023, during backlash over Bud Light, Bryan warned fans against insulting transgender people. In 2022, he told The New York Times that crowds should avoid vulgar phrases against then-President Biden. Bryan, who has 25.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, typically offers previews of unreleased tracks on social media.
Listeners immediately ripped Bryans latest snippet as a betrayal of conservative values. Stick to Pink Skies, dude, wrote Tricia McLaughlin, an assistant secretary at DHS, in an X post, referencing another Bryan song.
He just drew over 112,000 fans to what became the largest concert in U.S. history last week, podcaster Benny Johnson wrote on X. Now, that will never happen again. When will they learn?
No name Country artist Zach Bryan, slams ice for deporting criminal illegal immigrants, wrote Mike Engleman on X. Its a stretch calling him an artist because he has no talent!
Whos ready for the Zach Bryan-Dixie Chicks tour? country music singer John Rich wrote on X. Prob a huge Bud Light sponsorship for this one. Zach Bryan has every right to record a song bashing law enforcement, and fans have every right to keep supporting his career, or not. Capitalism isnt cancellation.
[From Axios]
There were lots of references to the Dixie Chicks who now go by The Chicks because of what happened in 2003, when Republicans canceled them. Except that what really happened was that the music industry ended up supporting the Chicks, Rick Rubin produced their Grammy-winning comeback album (Taking The Long Way) and they continued to sell millions of albums and headline soldout concerts. AND they got to work with Beyonce! Don?t threaten Zach Bryan with a good time, you know? I feel like more artists need to understand that there?s actually a market for this too.
Bryan posted something on his IG Stories, saying in part: ?Everyone using this now as a weapon is only proving how devastatingly divided we all are. ?We need to find our way back.? I love this country and the song itself is about all of us coming out of this divided space To see how much st it stirred up makes me not only embarrassed but kind of scared. Left wing or right wing we?re all one bird and American. To be clear I?m on neither of these radical sides. To all those disappointed in me on either side of what you believe in just know I?m trying my best too and we all say things that are misconstrued sometimes.?
F YEAH!!! Country singer and military veteran Zach Bryan drops new song criticizing ICE and the collapse of American democracy.
This moment calls for moral and artistic courage ? MORE OF THIS!!! pic.twitter.com/RFbG35Ol1Q

| Taylor Swift stepped out in New York, she went to steakhouse Eighty Six | Added 11 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Taylor Swift stepped out last night in NYC, her first pap stroll outing in months. She went to the Eighty Six, a steakhouse. Taylor really went underground following the Super Bowl, and while she has been out in New York this year, shes only been photographed very rarely. Taylors sending a message here: Im back! Talk about me! Her skirt is way too short, btw. But obviously, she loves autumn. She loves boots and cute sweaters. Well be seeing more of her like this in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Taylor released The Life of a Showgirl last Friday, to mixed reviews and a fanbase which seems to be growing more disenchanted by the year. There are discussions about Taylor ripping off other artists with little to no credit. There are discussions about Taylor?s problematic behavior towards other women in the industry. There?s the ?Opalite? discourse about the imagery and message she uses to discuss Travis Kelce?s Black ex-girlfriends (specifically Kayla Nicole). There?s also a discourse about Taylor?s romantic history, especially when she was an adult woman literally dating a kid in high school (Conor Kennedy). Anyway, you get the idea a lot of people are talking a lot about Taylor and her album, and there are ongoing critiques of the music and Taylor herself. Well, Taylor welcomes those discussions! At least that?s what she claimed on The Zane Lowe Show:
Taylor Swift shared her candid thoughts on the passionate range of reactions to ?The Life of a Showgirl.? She thanked the fans who ?immediately? got the album?s emotion and themes ? but she also had words for the critics. While appearing on Apple Music?s ?The Zane Lowe Show,? Swift said she ?welcomes the chaos? seeing that it?s a ?rule of show business?: ?If it?s the first week of my album release and you are saying either my name or my album title, you?re helping. And art, I have a lot of respect for people?s subjective opinions on art. I?m not the art police. It?s like everybody is allowed to feel exactly how they want. And what our goal is as entertainers is to be a mirror.?
The record has received mixed reviews from critics with some praise for its unabashed, joyful sound, while others criticize the lyrics for their perceived lack of depth.
?Oftentimes, an album is a really, really wild way to look at yourself,? Swift told Lowe. ?What you?re going through in your life is going to affect whether you relate to the music that I?m putting out at any given moment.?
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter also made a revealing statement about what empowers her to make music: ?We?re doing this thing for keeps. I have such an eye on legacy when I?m making my music. I know what I made. I know I adore it, and I know that on the theme of what the Showgirl is, all of this is part of it.?
[From Variety]
Taylor talking about ?legacy? is wild. I expect an artist like Beyonce to talk about her artistic legacy, and working on legacy projects (which is exactly what the Renaissance trilogy is, a transcendent legacy project). But Taylor? She?s a 35-year-old who is still singing about high school and her fiance?s redwood dong. She?s still scrapping with pop girls and gaming the charts with variants (she?s released like 20 variants already, in like the past 72 hours). But she?s right, if people are talking about her, that?s good for sales and it means her promotion is working. It?s just that I don?t believe that Taylor has a que-sera-sera attitude about people critiquing her music or her celebrity persona.

| George Clooney: 'We?re going to get through it, but a lot of damage is going to be done' | Added 11 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

George Clooney covers the latest issue of Esquire, all to promote his latest movie, Noah Baumbach?s Jay Kelly. Clooney plays a movie star who wonders if he really showed up for the people in his life. I?ve seen some horrible reviews of the film, but Clooney has enough money and power to ensure that Jay Kelly still has ?Oscar buzz.? For me, Clooney is permanently sh-tlisted after what he said and did last year (and this year) about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This Esquire interview emphasizes yet again that Clooney?s meddling and ratfking was always just a political abstraction for him, he?s not actually living under the fascist conditions he helped facilitate. He lives full-time in England, France and Italy now. But of course he still has sh-t to say about American politics in this interview:
Performing Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway: ?I was really nervous, as an actor, which I hadn?t been in a long time? I mean, part of it was strictly age related. As you get older?I?m sixty-four?and as you get older, it doesn?t matter how many granola bars you eat; your brain starts to lock up. I had all these long monologues, and I was afraid of blowing my lines. So every single night for one hundred performances, I would do the whole play in the dressing room before I went onstage. I was so terrified.?
His twins are well-adjusted & they?re being raised in France: ?Yeah, we?re very lucky. You know, we live on a farm in France. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid I hated the whole idea of it. But now, for them, it?s like?they?re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life. I was worried about raising our kids in L.?A., in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life. France?they kind of don?t give a sh-t about fame. I don?t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don?t want them being compared to somebody else?s famous kids.?
He came to fatherhood so late: ?The only thing I feel lucky about is that I?m so much older that the idea that my son would be compared to me is pretty unlikely, because by the time he actually will have done anything, I?m gonna be gumming my bread.?
America will get through the bad times: ?I do believe we get through these things, and if you think back to the times that have been really bad in the country?we?ve had them. I think ?68 was as bad as we could have had. Every city in the United States was on fire and rioting, and the capital was surrounded by armed guards to protect themselves. We killed Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy that year. There was the Tet Offensive? So if you look at it, you go, we?ve been in bad places before. Certainly the Civil War. So we?re going to get through it, but a lot of damage is going to be done along the way because of where we are. And it is heartbreaking to see. And Democrats are gonna have to get their act together? And they will. Coming out of the Iraq war and all that is what brought us Obama?brought us a really good leader. And we?re gonna need it.?
Whether he will ever write another NYT op-ed about a Democrat again: ?I don?t think so. I think people have heard enough from me. I wasn?t doing it to, you know?I was doing it because I?d been a personal witness to things, and I also, quite honestly?[Clooney was interrupted].?
He did cocaine in the 1980s. ?Eighty-two, I tried?I did blow and stuff. I used to make jokes about how I did too many drugs, but the truth is, it was never a big issue for me at all. And look, there was an episode of Taxi where they?re all doing blow. At the time, it was like, No, this is not like heroin. It?s not addictive. But then it was like, Oh, well, it?s actually pretty fking bad. Plus, it was all cut with mannitol. The baby laxative. Everybody would do a line and then take a st.?
He?s always been a booze guy: ?I?ve had periods where, I wouldn?t say it was a problem?I never woke up and drank or anything. But I?d have runs where I?d get pretty toasty every night.?
[From Esquire]
I think Clooney and the podbros say sh-t like ?we?ve been through bad times before, we?ll get through them? to avoid taking responsibility for their ratf-cking. Oh, so NOW we should all get along, NOW we should come together? Where were those sentiments when we should have come together to stop this Trump authoritarianism from happening in the first place? Why hasn?t Clooney written a NYT op-ed about Trump?s age and dementia, you know? Where is the 24-7 nitpicking of Trump?s policies from that crew? Anyway, Clooney mostly ran back his greatest hits in this interview and it was just sad. He?s too old to function as a movie star anymore, he needs to step down. We can hold a primary to elect the next Clooney.

| Shailene Woodley to star in a Janis Joplin biopic: singing is very scary | Added 13 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

For as long as I can remember, there?s been some sort of Janis Joplin biopic in the works. Over the years, we?ve heard reports that actresses like Amy Adams, Pink, Zooey Deschanel, and even the late Brittany Murphy were attached to a JJ project. Well, we can add Shailene Woodley to that list. Shailene is currently in preproduction on Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can. Although it?s still early on, this could very well be the JJ movie that actually makes it to the big screen. During a recent interview with People, Shailene admitted that learning how to sing is a ?very scary? part of playing a world-famous singer.
One of Shailene Woodleys upcoming roles is bringing her into new territory. The actress, 33, is set to star in and produce a Janis Joplin biopic, Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can, which will tell the life story of the iconic singer, who died at age 27 in 1970.
Preproduction continues on the project, which has been in development for years, and Woodley tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she finds singing for the role is not the easiest task.
Singing is very scary. Its very vulnerable, the Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe-nominated star admits.
The Hollywood Reporter and Rolling Stone reported in September 2024 that the Joplin biopic was moving forward with the help of Californias tax credit.
I have a feeling Janis would be smiling ear to ear, zipping down the PCH in her psychedelic Porsche knowing her story is bringing opportunities and funding to the city and people that held so much significance to her,? Woodley said in a statement regarding the film at that time.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show months later, the Big Little Lies star spoke about the film, telling host Jimmy Fallon, Weve been working on it for seven years now, and its just ? shes such a groovy chick, man. She really brought the light to this planet in a really singular way.
When Fallon asked Woodley whether the movie has access to clothes from Joplins era, she admitted, We have the outfits. Everything.
Woodley?is currently working with Linda Perry on the Joplin-based feature. The lead artist of 4 Non Blondes is an incredible songwriter, singer and music producer, and she and I have been working very closely for a few years now, Woodley tells PEOPLE.
[From People]
I?ve been trying to figure out if Shailene has any type of musical history. There are clips of her singing 10 seconds of ?A Whole New World? back in 2014, singing Its Raining Men with Sam Claftin in 2018 and doing karaoke with Sebastian Stan in 2019.. She sounds fine, but so do I when I sing that same line in the shower. I have no doubt that if singing isn?t your thing, then preparing to play a beloved singer with a cult fanbase would be nervewracking, especially when you?re the one who is getting a very long-awaited biopic across the finish line. Just on vibes alone, Shailene would not have been my first choice to play Janis, but with enough vocal lessons?who knows? I do trust Linda Perry to know what she?s doing in terms of prepping Shailene.

| Taylor Swift explains why she will not do the Super Bowl Halftime Show | Added 22 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last year, when Taylor Swift released The Tortured Poets Department, she really didn?t do much dedicated press or media for the album or the singles. It was a Beyonce-esque move, a power move to say that she doesn?t need to hustle her album for it to be successful. So what do we make of Taylor?s promotional tour for The Life of a Showgirl? She?s been on a tour of British radio stations, she?s been doing TikTok dances and last night, she made her first appearance on the Tonight Show in years and years. Jimmy Fallon obviously didn?t ask Taylor any hard questions, because he knows how to stay on Taylor?s good side. He did ask her about the Super Bowl and whether she has been offered the Halftime headliner gig before. She said something really interesting about Roc Nation and Jay-Z.
Taylor Swift, 35, appeared on the Monday, Oct. 6 episode of The Tonight Show for a conversation with host Jimmy Fallon, where the pair went through a list of rumors, with Swift confirming or denying them. One of the revelations from Swifts appearance was her explanation for why she will not do the Super Bowl halftime show. When asked by Fallon about the rumor that [shes] turned down the Super Bowl because of performance footage,' Swift replied No.
She then launched into a lengthy explanation. Heres the thing, she began. Jay Z has always been very good to me. Our teams are very close. They sometimes will call and say how does she feel about and thats not an official offer or a conference room conversation. Were always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field.
Swift reflected on how stressful it is to watch her fianc Travis Kelce play on the field ? and how that plays into her consideration of potentially doing the halftime show. That is violent chess, Swift said. That is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous. The whole season I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field. Can you imagine if hes out there every single week putting his life on the line, doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport, and Im like, I wonder what my choreo should be. I think we should do two verses of Shake it Off into Blank Space into Cruel Summer would be great.'
The music star clarified, This is nothing to do with Travis, he would love for me to do it. Im just too locked in.
During the segment where Swift debunked rumors, she was also asked if she joked to Selena Gomez on the actress wedding day, Hey you beat me to the altar. Swift shared that the answer is another no. I got to see her be the most elegant, gorgeous ? not only bride but just ? vision that Ive ever seen in my life. Ive never seen anything so beautiful as her on her wedding day, she said of Gomezs Sept. 27 wedding to music producer Benny Blanco.
And she deserves all of this happiness. Benny is so funny. Hes the best. I did make a speech. But I actually made a point not to mention anything about my engagement. No one wants you to be like, Hey, I know this is your wedding day but?' with a raised hand showing off her ring. I was like, Dont mention it.'
[From People]
People always forget, and Swifties always forget that Taylor is legitimately really close to Beyonce and Jay-Z. They?ve all been close for many years. Still, I?m surprised by Taylor?s description of her team?s closeness to Roc Nation. We didn?t know until now that Rox Nation, who produces the Halftime show, has periodically gone to Taylor to take her temperature about the Halftime show. That?s interesting. Anyway, Taylor seems to be saying? I?ll do the Halftime show when Travis retires. Fair enough. Here are the videos from the Tonight Show Taylor?s sparkly dress is from Giuseppe Di Morabito.
