Promoting her album and new film, “Precious,” Mariah Carey lived up to her diva reputation while visiting with GMTV.
“I’ve heard a lot of rumors about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It turns out it’s all true!” claimed British TV host Kate Garraway.
“While Mariah was very nice, the amount of people she had in her entourage was hilarious. They outnumbered the entire ‘GMTV’ crew,” she continues.
Garraway added that along with her entourage was the job for them to make sure she looked perfect - such as needing two people to lower her on the morning show’s sofa so her dress would not crush. Also reported was that she brought her own toilet seat.
Carey has been surrounded by diva rumors and is always defending herself. “I am baffled, shocked and appalled when I am called a diva. I’ve never done a diva-ish thing in my life.” Carey’s rep called Garraway’s claims a “clear, gross exaggeration.”

Alicia Keys knows how to bring the heat! The singer took on the 49-degree weather to say hello to her fans and perform songs on the “Today” show for her new album The Element of Freedom, which comes out December 15.
While starting the last song, Keys said, “We’re in the perfect place, in the perfect city, so we need to sing it like this,” and performed Empire State of Mind, Part, 2, a collaboration with Jay-Z.
A rep for Keys confirmed to MTV that the song will include a new verse from Jay-Z and be on the singer’s new album.
When host Meredith Vieira asked how making her new album changed her as an artist, Alicia said that it was her best effort yet and she was able to experience life more making it her best music.
Meanwhile, though Miss Keys has been busy with her music, she is extremely devoted to the Keep a Child Alive program which helps treatment for HIV/AIDS for children in Africa.
The 28-year-old will continue to raise money for the cause by performing a special concert at the Nokia Theatre in New York on December 1, where she will make “a very special announcement” that will change five people’s lives.

Having a near wardrobemalfunction, the 22-year-old laughed, “I’m a little too fat right now, my dress… the zip busted in the back. They’re like, ‘A minute to live,’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god!’ They wanted to stitch it up, but I couldn’t.”

After her failure to impress in Paris, Lindsay Lohan looked as if she might be joining the unemployed.
Critics have bashed her debut collection calling it an “embarrassment,” but the 23-year-old will still be keeping her position of artistic advisor for the house Emanuel Ungaro.
Company’s chief executive Mounir Moufarrige told, “Yes (she’s staying on), she has a job to do.”
But even the designer himself, Ungaro, was one of LiLo’s critics, calling it a “disaster.”
“Mr. Ungaro has his views, he can keep them. I have no comment,” Moufarrige retorted. As for the professional reviews from the likes of Women’s Wear Daily, he conceded, “I am sure we can do better in the collection to be honest but I think it was harsh ... But it did sell well.”
For now, Lohan will have to take the heat.

There?s not really anything new and exciting happening in the world of Xenu (except for In Touch Weekly?s cover story that Katie Holmes somehow ?moved out?). I just wanted to look at pictures of Tom Cruise running around on the set of his film Knight and Day, which was formally known as Wichita (also starring Cameron Diaz). Now, there?s not anything inherently dramatic about these photos, other than a 47-year-old disciple of Xenu is doing his own stunt work. For which I applaud Tom - that?s one of the few cool things about him, he does a ton of his own stunt work, no matter how dangerous. The only other slightly interesting thing is that Tom Cruise can?t give up with wedges. Look at the heels on his little shoes! As far as I?ve seen, Lainey Gossip was the first to point out the wedges - sometimes white, sometimes black, but always with at least a two inch lift.
That little Midgey, he?s in his element, isn?t he? Running around Europe shooting action sequences involving daredevil feats and manly man stunts, pointing a gun, clenching his jaw, delivering the most intense oneliner as if his life depended on it, followed by a toothy insane cackle?
Tom Cruise is currently in Austria continuing to work on Knight & Day with Cameron Diaz. They gave him a gun and he?s running after the bad guys in his? high heel wedges?

According to a report, the rapper/designer has just announced that he’ll be appearing on Home Shopping Network to sell his fragrances I Am King and Unforgivable later this month.
Diddy will host a two-hour talk show-style segment on the network to bring his scents to viewers across the country.
On November 30th from 11pm to 1am, Combs will be appearing live from a living-room-style set in St. Petersburg, Florida, so be sure to tune in.

The “Minority Report” actor looked intense and focused as he filmed a chase scene as well as a shooting sequence, sporting a black wool topcoat with a black suit.
And it sounds like Mr. Cruise is making the most of his time in the picturesque city, as he took a tour of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth house.
Tour guide Gabriele Ramsauer told press, “He told us all about his daughter Suri, that hse is so spirited and interested in everything.”

An Ohio police chief was found guilty on Monday on three of six charges after being accused of stealing from the surrogate mom who carried Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twin daughters.
Martin’s Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter, 40, and another police chief met with photographers back in May and gave them items such as a poem, photos, legal documents about the surrogacy agreement, and ultra sound pictures. A photographer told the surrogacy agency immediately.
After a long 12 hours of deliberation, a jury found Carpenter guilty for receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence. He was found not guilty on two accounts of burglary and one count of unauthorized use of property or services.
Carpenter kept quiet during proceedings and laid his head down in his hands after the convictions were told. He now faces up 10 years in prison and his sentencing will be on December 10. Until then, he has to wear a home confinement device at this mother’s house and will be tracked with a GPS device.
Meanwhile, his alleged accomplice, Bridgeport Police Chief Chad M. Dojack, 29, will stand trial in January.

She insisted on bringing her own butterfly-shaped confetti to the X Factor and left the normally affable television host Phillip Schofield furious with her tardiness. And now presenter Kate Garraway has revealed more of Mariah Carey?s diva-style behaviour following the singer?s appearance on GMTV.
Miss Garraway, 42, said the star - the world?s best-selling female artist - stunned producers by having two people to lower her on to the famous GMTV sofa.
She said the singer also had an entourage watching to ensure she was being filmed at her best angle and brought her own toilet roll to the studios.
The blonde host, who has this month returned to work on the ITV breakfast programme after having her second child, son Billy, said: ‘We had Mariah Carey in the GMTV studios last week, where she was pre-recording an interview with Lorraine Kelly. I’ve heard a lot of rumours about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It turns out it’s all true!’

The presenter?s claims come after Miss Carey, 39, and her management made a host of demands to open Westfield shopping centre?s Christmas Wonderland last week. More than 14 million watched as the star performed her new single, I Want To Know What Love Is, on the X Factor on Sunday night.
Some viewers questioned whether Miss Carey, who had pre-recorded her performance, was singing live. However, an X Factor spokeswoman insisted that Miss Carey had sung live as well as using a backing track. The star recently claimed she is not a diva, despite admitting her dogs have their own entourage.
The singer said she had insisted on having assistants on hand for her Jack Russell pooches Cha Cha and JJ while filming a recent commercial, insisting: ‘My puppies are starring in this ad with me, too. I had my team with me but the pups had a mini entourage of their own, of course! And why wouldn’t they? It was a big shoot and even my entourage had an entourage - my stylist had an assistant, my security had extra security. The shoot was based on the fact that some people think I’m a demanding diva. I have no idea why people have that impression!’
The ‘Fantasy’ singer has previously admitted to feeling baffled by her ‘demanding’ reputation.
She said: ‘I am baffled, shocked and appalled when I am called a diva. I’ve never done one diva-ish thing in my life. The actual definition of a diva is a woman who sings well. The secondary definition is a woman who is difficult to deal with. I hope I am the first, but I really don’t think I am the second. I don’t believe I am truly nasty and act in a bad way.’
Miss Garraway was not in the studio at the same time as Miss Carey and her entourage. However a source close to the presenter said: ‘Kate got in shortly afterwards and the place was abuzz with what had happened. It was not so much Mariah, as she points out - but her entourage.’
Miss Carey?s spokeswoman called Miss Garraway?s claims are a ‘clear, gross exaggeration’. She said: ‘With regards to the “entourage”, every star of Mariah?s calibre is surrounded by a working team and Mariah doesn’t actually have any more people working with her than any other major star.’

Apparently, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp got the cover, and the story is all about how they?re going to be working together next year on The Tourist, which is some kind of action-thriller set in Europe. I?m actually not sure if Johnny Depp has signed on for real, but I think at this point, he?s probably doing it. I?m a little sketchy on the plot of the film - I think it involves Depp?s character being on the run, and Jolie?s character chasing him or something. But Life & Style got their hands on the script for The Tourist, and they?re making it seem like the movie is full of sex. Hm? sex? with Angelina and Johnny. Damn. Now, just beware - this excerpt from Popeater reads like a romance novel/fan fiction of their characters? sexual relations. It?s good stuff, too!
In what could be one of the most obscenely hot movie match-ups in history, Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to get hot and heavy with Johnny Depp in ‘The Tourist,’ and according to screenplay snippets given exclusively to PopEater by Life & Style, there might be a whole lot of steam and skin to gawk at. Want to see the juicy love scenes that are sure to burn up the screen?
The stunningly sexy Jolie and PEOPLE’s newly-crowned ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ are set to lock lips (and from the sound of it, a lot more) on screen in ‘The Tourist.’ The screenplay goes into vivid detail about love scenes between the two.
“The outline of her naked body is visible in the shower … Frank walks to the shower and opens the glass door. Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardor, wrapping her dripping legs around his back.”
And that’s just where things get started in the ‘Tourist’ screenplay, written by Julian Fellowes. The screenplay goes on to describe a scene in which Jolie’s character of Cara “turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his … They exchange a long, passionate kiss.”
Later on, the sexual desires continue, and one scene goes as such: “Their lips meet. They kiss. And kiss. Like drinking from a fresh spring in the desert … Gently, careful, Frank slips his hands into Cara’s cleavage. Surprised, Cara starts to pull back — but Frank puts a finger to her lips. She hesitates, looks at him questioningly. But she doesn’t protest as his fingers move toward her bra.”

Still hoping for success on the small screen, “Cougar Town” is getting back on track.
The show, which airs on ABC, took a break from filming last week so Courteney Cox could attend to a “family matter.” The filming will resume on November 30 after an already planned Thanksgiving break.
The situation of the family issue was not told, but Cox’s reps tell that the actress and family are doing fine and she will be returning to work after Thanksgiving.
The cougar’s costar Busy Phillips tweeted on Monday that Cougar Town was “only down one day” and that “we’re back shooting after Thanksgiving. I’ll pass along the love to CC.”
