Remember when Drew Barrymore shot herself in the foot (and mouth) by announcing she was bringing back her show amid the writers strike, then during a taping her crew kicked out two people wearing WGA pins, then she posted a word-salad video on a Friday doubling down on her decision to return, only to give in (to common sense and decency) by Sunday and put her show on pause? Good times. All that happened in the span of one week. If I have whiplash from it, surely she does as well. Now that the WGA has reached a tentative agreement with AMPTP, Drew might have nausea as well ? she was only two weeks away from completely avoiding this epic PR disaster! Like other daytime talk shows, The Drew Barrymore Show could come back in mid to late October, pending finalization of the new deal. But Drew will forever have the stink of her (self-inflicted) saga attached to her reporting, as exemplified here by ET Online:
With the Writers Guild of America (WGA) having struck a tentative agreement to end its ongoing strike, The Drew Barrymore Show is eyeing a return to the airwaves.
ET has learned that The Drew Barrymore Show is looking to return in October.
Host Drew Barrymore faced intense backlash earlier this month after her announcement that her daytime talk show would return for season four amid the WGA strikes, but without WGA writers.
A week after that controversial announcement, Barrymore apologized publicly and announced that she was going to pause the return of the show amid the outcry.
?I have listened to everyone, and I am making the decision to pause the show?s premiere until the strike is over,? the host wrote as a caption next to a picture of the same message, which she shared on Sept. 17.
?I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today,? she continued. ?We really tried to find our way forward. And I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon.?
In a statement to ET, a spokesperson from CBS Media Ventures, which produces The Drew Barrymore Show, read: ?We support Drew?s decision to pause the show?s return and understand how complex and difficult this process has been for her.?
However, on Sunday, the WGA struck a tentative deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers to end the strike.
While the deal still has to be drafted and faces several votes by WGA officials and members, it?s expected by many that the deal will be ratified and finalized in the next few weeks. Until then, the strike is not officially over, but the WGA has suspended picketing efforts and protests.

So Celebitchy and Kaiser got into Drew on Monday?s podcast #159, and now I?m gonna wade in. (Also, please consider that your *spoiler alert* in case you?ve been waiting to listen.) On the Drew Barrymore spectrum, I probably self-identify as not a full-on hater, but I definitely find her relentlessly twee, loosey-goosey persona grating. Maybe I?m not giving her enough credit, maybe I?m taking her at her flower-child-like image too much. But to me the real people to be angry with now are her PR team and managers. Where were they?!! I hold them responsible for letting those Instagram videos see the light of day. For every one celebrity there should be ten wranglers to intervene and save the star from themselves. That?s basic celebrity math.
There is still a way for Drew to come back with the show and address everything that?s gone down. But it would have to be done in exactly the right way, like having the two audience members that were kicked out come on as guests, and having her union writers speak as well. And judging by what we?ve seen coming out of her camp on this issue? let?s just say they have not been nailing the tone. But maybe someday in the future we will forget this dark era for Drew.

There was a huge Dior runway show/event in Paris yesterday, and all of the Dior-associated people came out for it. I?m including photos of Jennier Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, a severe-looking Charlize Theron and my pick for prettiest princess, Beatrice Borromeo (married to Pierre Casiraghi).
So? um, thoughts about Jennifer Lawrence? J-Law has been a Dior brand ambassador for many, many years, as have Rob Pattinson and Charlize. Jen usually only comes to fashion week for the Dior show and nothing else. We haven?t seen much of her since June, when she promoted No Hard Feelings. At a few of those June premieres, we did talk about her changing/tweaked face. It seems to have gotten worse. I?m still sort of curious about what she?s done and why she was always such a natural beauty, but she seems to love that ?Real Housewife/Kardashian? look so much that she?s trying to emulate it. It?s like she?s surgically eliminated the uniqueness and character from her face.
Rob?s pants are ridiculous and I can?t believe Dior gave Charlize THAT outfit.

Dwayne ?The Rock? Johnson routinely tops yearly lists of highest paid actors, with some even naming him the highest paid actor ever in Hollywood. Do I think Johnson merits being the highest paid actor? (And please note I?m pronouncing it in my head with a Laurence Olivier flair as acTOR!) If we?re talking about acting as a craft/art form, then no, I do not. But I totally understand how he?s amassed the hefty paydays, and I enjoy the comedy and physical agility he brings on screen. What I enjoy about him most, though, is how consistently and genuinely he pays it forward. From donating seven figures to keep striking actors afloat, to surprising fans on a celeb tour bus in his LA neighborhood, to setting up UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo with a new, furnished house in Miami, Johnson is like a huge, jacked fairy godmother. Over the weekend Johnson took to Instagram to answer a fan?s question on the drawbacks to fame? he had none:
A lucky son of a b: ?I have been a lucky son of a bitch to have been famous for a long time, and I realize that there are no drawbacks to fame because I remember how s? once was,? he added. ?Back in the day, the alternative to fame [was] not being famous, and I couldn?t pay rent, I was struggling to figure out who I was, I was broke as f?. I try my best to keep all of that in the forefront of my mind.?
He lives like he?s ?a day away? from losing it all: ?I never let that go,? he continued. ?I always say, ?I?m a day away from being evicted again? so it keeps me hungry. So for me, there are no drawbacks to fame. I got a lot of celebrity friends who completely disagree with me, and that?s okay. We have had healthy discussions about fame. And that?s okay, having a difference of opinion. It invites dialogue. It invites discussion. But for me, there are no drawbacks.?
LOL, he misses the mall: ?I miss going to the mall. I miss going to the stores. Just hopping in my car and going [to the] grocery store, drug store, the mall, wherever,? Johnson said. ?All that has gone away years and years ago, so anytime I go, it?s a thing. Gotta call ahead, logistics, security.? Johnson also admitted that every now and then he does get the urge to go shopping by himself, but things eventually turn into a ?zoo.?
Don?t chase fame: ?I always tell people this. There?s young digital influencers out there, social media, entertainment, singers, athletes, all these young bloods who think, ?Hey, I gotta chase fame, greatness equals fame, fame equals greatness.? And I always share this with everybody I talk to,? Johnson added.
Chase greatness: ?I learned over the years to not chase fame, and I share that with people today who are on the come up,? he continued. ?Don?t chase fame. Chase being great at something. Chase greatness. Fame will come, or it won?t, but if you?re great at something, that?s enduring.? Johnson then shared a quote from legendary running back Walter Payton: ?If you?re good at something, you will tell everyone. If you?re great, they?ll tell you.?

Ok, so at the beginning I felt like he was equating ?fame? with ?success.? To me, they?re very different animals. Success helps you pay the rent, success contributes to your sense of self. Fame is what?s making it hard for him to go grocery shopping (allegedly, though I love the image of him calling Ralphs for a security briefing, ?I need bananas ? cover aisle 10!) I wholeheartedly agree with his comment on greatness, lofty as it sounds. Someone once said to me that pure concentration is the key to happiness. If you?re working towards greatness, you have to be fully concentrated on mastering each facet, each level. And I bet Johnson would concur that happiness is even greater than fame. Now someone treat that man to a normal, low-key visit to a mall, pronto!

Last year, Shakira gave a rather legendary Elle interview. She spoke at length about just how much she did to make her relationship with Gerard Pique work, and she also spoke at length about how the Spanish tax authorities are trying to jam her up. For years, Spanish authorities have claimed that Shakira didn?t pay enough taxes given her part-time residence in Barcelona. Shakira has long employed PricewaterhouseCoopers, the internationally renowned tax specialists and accountants. She has all of her literal receipts, she knows exactly how many days she spent in Spain, she knows how much she?s paid and what she owes. She also no longer lives in Spain she moved to Miami shortly after Pique cheated on her in their home. Well, the Spanish authorities are still desperate to punish Shakira and get as much money from her as possible. I said before that the Spanish tax agencies are coming across like scammers, and I still feel that way.
Prosecutors in Spain have once again charged Shakira with tax fraud ? this time linked to taxes filed on her 2018 income. In a statement obtained by the Associated Press, Barcelona prosecutors accused the Columbian singer, 46, of failing to pay about $7.1 million (6.7 million euros) in taxes in 2018. They alleged that she avoided paying the taxes by using an offshore company located in a tax haven.
They also noted that Shakira was informed of the charges in her current home city of Miami, according to the AP, who first reported the news. Shakira did not immediately respond to PEOPLE?s request for comment.
The new charges come after a Spanish court said in July that it started an investigation linked to alleged fraud on the singer?s personal income tax and wealth tax in 2018. The court said it had no information on how much money was in question at the time, according to the AP.
The court, located in Esplugues de Llobregat near Barcelona, opened a second case as a result of a complaint made by the Barcelona Economic Crimes Prosecutor regarding Shakira allegedly defrauding the tax agency, per a translation from Spanish media outlet El Pais. Another local outlet, El Periodico, reported that the prosecutor?s office filed a complaint for two alleged tax crimes.
A representative for Shakira told PEOPLE in a statement at the time that she ?defends having always acted in accordance with the law and under the advice of the best tax experts. She is now focused on her life as an artist in Miami and is confident that there will be a favorable resolution of her tax issues.?

Shakira refused to ?settle? one of the previous charges because, as she has said, she has confidence in her own records and her PwC accountants. I?ve seen comments on here and other places about how Shakira has tax shelters and residences in tax havens? and? It?s not illegal to have a residence in a tax haven. It?s not illegal to set up tax shelters. Tax loopholes exist all around the world. Of course Shakira has protected herself and protected her assets. I think a lot of people have big problems when it?s a successful Colombian woman protecting her assets and refusing to roll over for a government agency in the middle of a smear campaign.

Sophie Turner arrived in New York two weekends ago, after spending months in the UK, filming an ITV miniseries. Her work schedule was ?the reason? why she agreed to Joe Jonas? scheme to bring their daughters back to America, so the kids would be with him on tour. When she arrived in NYC, Joe had already filed for divorce and gotten the Florida court to serve Sophie with an order saying that she couldn?t take their daughters back to England. Last Thursday, Sophie filed her own lawsuit against Joe, telling the court that Joe was holding their daughters? passports and that her daughters need to be with her, at home in England.
When Joe responded to Sophie?s lawsuit, he noted that he dropped their girls off with her in New York two Sundays ago, so she had the kids all last week. Jo?s team had also spent more than a week smearing Sophie as a ?partier? who liked to do unsavory things like ?work? and ?hang out with friends? and ?drink.? Hours after she filed her lawsuit, Sophie went out with Taylor Swift for the second night in a 72-hour period both nights they went out, they went to dinner and then they changed locations to hit up a trendy bar. The photos played into Joes narrative. Apparently, someone got through to Sophie that the optics were pretty bad because on Friday night, she skipped the bar-hopping and went straight to Taylor Swift?s penthouse apartment, according to Page Six. No photos, which is good. It also looks like Sophie will probably be spending more time with Swift, because Sophie and Joe have signed onto some kind of temporary agreement to keep their daughters in New York for now.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have agreed they will NOT take their kids outside the greater New York City area for now this, just days after Sophie filed legal docs saying her intention was taking the kids to the UK for good. Both Joe and Sophie agreed to a temporary consent agreement and filed it with a federal judge. Daily Mail first reported the filing.
As we reported, Joe and Sophie are locked in a legal battle over custody. Sophie went to federal court last week, citing a child abduction law and claiming Joe refused to turn over the passports of their 2 kids. She claimed they had an agreement the kids would live in the UK.
Joe countered, saying a judge in Florida where he filed the divorce said the kids could not be removed from the U.S., thus setting up a legal battle. The agreement they made is not binding on a U.S. judge. The North Star in determining custody is what is in the best interests of the children.

I?m glad that they at least came to some kind of limited, temporary agreement. As part of Sophie?s lawsuit, she listed all of her temporary residences this year, following the sale of the Turner-Jonas home in Miami. It does seem like Joe and Sophie don?t OWN property in America at this point? I wondered if they still had that condo in New York, but they apparently listed it in 2020. So? is Sophie staying at a hotel? Some kind of rental or Airbnb? Hm.

Here are some photos of Jessica Chastain on Day 4 of the San Sebastian Film Festival. Chastain is one of the few Hollywood actors doing the late-summer/early-fall festival circuit. Most actors are prohibited from the festival circuit because of the SAG strike, but Jessica?s film, Memory, got a waiver. She went to Venice, Toronto and now San Sebastian.
So, she?s been on the road for a while and I guess her stylist packed a lot of different gowns and casual looks. If her stylist chose this one? well? Jess might need to invest in someone else. I cannot get over how completely terrible this whole ensemble is. The absolutely horrendous Sara Battaglia yellow suit with those god-awful platform sneakers. Like, I?m sure this is all very expensive. Hell, it might even be really comfortable? but at what cost. I honestly can?t get off the ?cuff? of those pants, my God.
Meanwhile, Jessica only loves one other actor as much as she loves Oscar Isaac that man is Jeremy Strong. Strong and Chastain have known each other for decades, and she posted this a few days ago dancing to Madonna while they attended an event in Milan!

Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce the real deal? If past is prologue, then the answer is ?lol, no, this will last two months at most.? I?d be happy to be wrong here Travis seems like he likes the attention just as much as Taylor, and it?s been so long since she?s dated an American guy. I hope she gives him a real shot. Her most recent relationship was with Matt Healy, and it felt like she was fighting with her team about how she didn?t want to break it off with him. What is her team telling her this time? I don?t know. ?Sources? told People Mag that Taylor is ?very focused on work right now and hanging out with her girlfriends. Travis invited her to the game, and of course she said yes. She just thought it was a fantastic way to spend Sunday.? Taylor was seen leaving the Chiefs game in a convertible with Travis, then she went and partied with Travis and his fam after the game.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce created quite the buzz on Sunday night when they decided to cap off a thrilling game at Arrowhead Stadium with a surprise late-night dinner. The star-studded pairs evening resulted in the shutdown of a popular restaurant as fans and diners gathered for an unexpected encounter with the two celebrities.
Taylor and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were seen leaving the stadium together, sending fans into a frenzy on social media. The unexpected rendezvous had Swifties and sports enthusiasts alike speculating about the nature of their relationship.
The real surprise, however, awaited fans at Prime Social Rooftop, a trendy restaurant in Kansas City. Patrons who were already dining there on Sunday night found themselves in the midst of an extraordinary encounter.
An eyewitness tells ET, Travis bought out the restaurant for his family and team. Taylor arrived, wearing a denim dress, and was seen snacking, having some cocktails and dancing alongside Travis. The two were very affectionate with one another but kept things fun and lighthearted. Travis teammates also showed up to the after-party, as well as his mom and dad, Donna and Ed. The party lasted until 2 a.m.
A source tells ET, Travis has never shied away from his desire to give dating with Taylor a try, which he even said during a press conference a few months ago after seeing Swift in concert. Travis and Taylor are taking things slowly, and not rushing into anything serious. Both are very career-focused, so the focus is on that for now, but thats not going to stop them from enjoying life when its the right moment.
One diner tells ET, So we went to Prime Social Rooftop for my friends 22nd birthday. They informed us before we left that they had a hard close at 8 p.m. and of course, seeing that Taylor was at the Chiefs game, we were already joking that she was going to be there.
As the clock neared 8 p.m., the restaurant staff approached diners with to-go boxes, informing them that they had to vacate the premises. To compensate for the early closure, the staff graciously offered free drinks at their sister restaurant a few floors down. The restaurant patrons couldnt help but wonder if this unusual situation was for the benefit of Taylor and Travis. When asked about the unexpected turn of events, the restaurant staff maintained a shroud of secrecy, smiling and replying that they cant confirm or deny the reason for the abrupt closure. However, as conversations with the staff continued, it became evident that they were thrilled about the special guests in attendance and even promised to convey greetings to Taylor.

The last part of ET?s exclusive comes from a TikTok of one of the bar patrons who was asked to leave as Taylor and Travis were arriving. Just FYI. I mean, I believe it. I believe that Travis decided to shoot his shot and he?s still reeling because it worked. This has an air of Travis muttering to himself ?don?t fk this up, don?t fk this up.? Dude, it?s not even about you! Taylor is gonna Taylor, either she?ll dip in a month or she?ll stick with you for five years. No in-between.
