Lauren Conrad has a new interview with People to promote her childrens clothing line with Kohls. Shes had a popular womens clothing line there for years and is expanding it to kids. In comparison to how messy Laurens former costar, Kristin Cavallari is, Lauren keeps her personal life relatively quiet. She does show her kids faces on Instagram, but she shares just a few tidbits about her life. It sounds like shes struggling in lockdown like a lot of other parents. Her children are very little, she has boys Charlie Wolf, who is seven months, and Liam James, who is two and a half. Thats already a ton of work but add in having to watch them 24/7 and take care of a house and it sounds like shes burnt out. Lauren told People that she gets very little time to herself, but that her husband is supportive.
Were in survival mode
Our kids need a lot of attention. Were living in a world of LEGOs and train sets! Its been a real balancing act.
As far as personal time during the lockdown, Conrad says its been a bit elusive. Any time throughout the day that I would have taken for myself has been replaced with cooking and cleaning, says The Little Market co-founder.
The only time I have to myself is when the kids go down to sleep, she tells PEOPLE. Every night, Ive been taking a bath with Little Market bath salts and having a glass of wine. Its my favorite thing! When you have young children, you dont get a lot of alone time.
But Conrad gives plenty of credit to husband of five years Tell, 40, whom she calls a great partner. Says The Hills alum, Hes good at doing what he needs to do, and really helping me out.
In the end, I am really trying to look at [the current situation] in a positive way, and remember that my kids are only going to be this small for so long. And Im getting a chance to enjoy them in a way I maybe wouldnt have before.
[From People]
I could definitely relate to the cooking and cleaning part. It feels like Im cooking, cleaning and doing laundry constantly, and I only have a teenager with me. Ive been so tired lately, but I have to keep it in perspective that at least Im not responsible for taking care of kids too. The survival mode quote makes it sound rough. My heart goes out to those of you with children at home, I cant imagine what thats like in quarantine. It sounds like Lauren is coping okay and that she has help from her husband. Plus she has a ritual she does at night to calm down. Maybe I need a nightly ritual like that too.

| Jaime King files for divorce from her husband of 13 years & she got a restraining order | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The only time I?ve really paid attention to Jaime King?s private life is that time that she asked Taylor Swift to be godmother to one of her children. That?s when I found out that Jaime is married to Kyle Newman and they have two sons together Taylor is godmother to the younger son, 4-year-old Leo Thomas. Anyway, I don?t remember much about Jaime other than those facts and this 2015 interview where she got a bit patronizing about how pregnancy is the ?ultimate symbol of womanhood and beauty.? They?ve been quiet as a family for years. And now this: Jaime has filed for divorce, and she also asked for a restraining order.
Jaime King wants out of her marriage shes just filed for divorce, and based on the documents it doesnt appear to be an amicable split.
TMZs learned the model/actress filed legal docs Monday in L.A. to divorce her husband, director Kyle Newman, to whom shes been married to since 2007. Its unclear what led to the divorce filing, but we know this Jaime is also requesting a restraining order against him. The nature of her request or whether it was granted are not known at this time.
Jaime and Kyle have two sons together a 6-year-old and 4-year-old, whose godmother is reportedly Taylor Swift. Jaime and Kyle met while working on Fanboys which Kyle directed.
The news comes almost 8 months after a man who terrorized Jaime for months including a bizarre attack in Bev Hills was sentenced to nearly 5 years behind bars for felony stalking. We mention that only to point out Jaimes had a rough go of it lately, and now apparently feels she needs court ordered protection from her estranged husband.
[From TMZ]
Yeah, TMZ didn?t have any more info and they would be the outlet to have more info and People Magazine basically made the restraining order a footnote in their coverage. I think there could be a lot of different possibilities for the restraining order, and all of those possibilities are pretty bad. I hope Jaime and her sons stay safe. And I wonder if this is yet another coronavirus split to add to the pile.
Oh, People Magazine did a separate story about the divorce filing and restraining order, and they said that Jaime also filed for an emergency motion

| Lisa Kudrow on Friends' all white cast: 'it should be looked at as a time capsule' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Lisa Kudrow is in the new Steve Carrell series, Space Force. The show looks funny and the cast is comprised of really solid comedic actors, like Lisa. While doing press for the show, the Sunday Times asked about Friends because we got this close to some form of a reunion but COVID was all, ?psyche!? So now all we have is to once again talk about the show. (Not like the cast is ever not going to be asked about it.) The discussion, however, is leaning more and more into the question of how well did the show actually age? It certainly lacked for diversity and for a show that had strong LGBTQ characters in supporting roles, it made a lot of insensitive remarks. Lisa handled the question deftly, I think, when she said that the show does fall short in many ways when held up to today?s light but maybe it should be viewed more as a time capsule.
Friends star Lisa Kudrow has defended the hit 90s sitcom, saying it was progressive at the time but would not feature an all-white cast if it was made today.
The actress, 56, played Phoebe Buffay in every episode of the show about six young adults living in New York City between 1994 and 2004.
Kudrow told The Sunday Times that fans should look at the show as a time capsule, saying it would be completely different now.
She said: Well, it would not be an all-white cast, for sure. Im not sure what else, but, to me, it should be looked at as a time capsule, not for what they did wrong.
Also, this show thought it was very progressive. There was a guy whose wife discovered she was gay and pregnant, and they raised the child together.
We had surrogacy too. It was, at the time, progressive.
[From Sunday Times via Sky.com]
David Schwimmer said something similar in his Guardian interview. It not that the cast doesn?t understand the criticisms of the show, but when the show was being made, there were many progressive themes that hadn?t been portrayed in a mainstream program. Many shows suffer when considered through current, hopefully progressed, sensibilities. My all-time favorite TV show, M*A*S*H, still blows me away but OMG is it tragically sexist, among other outdated ideas. So I agree that it?s okay to view certain shows as time capsules as long as we can point out the ills of that time period as well.
The one thing, however, that I really wish the Friends cast would acknowledge when discussing the ?all white cast? is that Friends was inspired by Living Single, especially after this point was made repeatedly after David?s interview. There is a lot to suggest that Friends wasn?t just inspired by Living Single, but was likely the reason it was created, specifically an all-white version of the very well done and popular LS. So it?s fine to say that the show is progressive for the time in which it was made, but respect who blazed that trail while you are doing so.
