Those throngs of photographers who stake out daily in front of Jennifer Aniston’s home actually did something useful last night. When Aniston’s beloved pooch, Norman, escaped from her property and was nearly hit by a car, paparazzi managed to coax the frightened dog over to them and return him home.
Jennifer Aniston’s pup Norman got loose this weekend in Malibu — but this story has an ending a little happier than “Marley & Me.”
According to paps on the scene, Jen’s Corgi-Terrier escaped from her home and almost got hit by a car. The paparazzi ended up rescuing the dog and taking it back to her house — we’re not sure if Aniston was home when it all went down.

If you recall, Norman the dog was supposedly part of the reason Jennifer broke up with current boyfriend John Mayer, who reportedly doesn’t share her affection for four-legged creatures. There were even reports that John made nice with Norman as a way to win Jen back. As a pet owner, this story is easily one of my worst fears- one of my dogs gets loose and takes off for the street. My younger dog has a healthy fear of cars, but my older dog is under the impression that the street was made just for him- which is why I have to keep a constant eye on him if we’re outside and he’s off leash. One moment, he’s right next to me, and the next, he’s long gone. It was nice that these photogs took a break from harassing celebrities to make sure Norman got home safely, rather than letting an unhappy story unfold.

I used to get high and watch “Passions” on NBC from time to time, just for shits and giggles. It was quite possibly the crappiest soap opera in recorded history. It was so bad that you almost had to figure they were in on the joke, and that maybe it was really some kind of parodistic masterpiece. Except it wasn’t. Anyway, I forgot where the hell I was going with this. Oh, yeah — the chick who played Beth Wallace on Passions is now a bonafide porn star. Dun dun dun! TMZ says
The former Miss USA 1991 is now a “Vivid Entertainment” girl — and has just wrapped on her first XXX feature, “Faithless,” in which she plays the lead character.
So, why the career move? Here’s the explanation — “I enjoy acting, and I really like sex … so this was the perfect opportunity to combine two of my passions.”
Let’s just hope her fucking isn’t as wooden as her acting! Unless we’re talking about the inevitable onslaught of penises, in which case “wooden” will probably do just fine.

Liam Neeson has decided to take on Alec Baldwin. And that is easily the scariest idea I can possibly imagine. Neeson strikes me as someone who is generally thoughtful and calm, and probably still rational and un-scary even is his more fiery moments. Alec Baldwin ? whom I love as an actor ? can be loud and insulting and sort of frightening when he gets all worked up about something. And in this case, the something both men are passionate about is horses.
Baldwin has been campaigning with PETA to rid Central Park of the horse drawn carriage. Neeson wants to keep them, and the two men may very well go head-to-head in front of New York?s legislation hearing on the matter.
LIAM Neeson might be going head to head with Alec Baldwin over Manhattan’s horse carriage industry. The Irish-born actor wrote a letter to the City Council in response to the proposed bill to ban the buggy business, according to the Irish Echo.
“As a horse lover and rider, I am deeply disturbed by the unnecessary and misguided political and extreme rhetoric against the horse-drawn carriage industry,” the letter stated. “As a proud New York resident, I have personally enjoyed the beauty of Central Park on a daily basis for many years, and these horses are an undeniable integral part of that experience.”
Neeson may have to face off with the “30 Rock” star at the legislation hearing on Jan. 30. Baldwin, who believes the horses are suffering, once compared the “tradition” of horse drawn carriages to the “tradition” of drug dealers and public intoxication. The vegetarian has been an avid protester against the use of the four-legged creatures.

This is one of those issues where I really do understand both sides. It?s hard to know exactly how well ? or how poorly ? the carriage horses are treated. PETA can be very extreme, to the point that many have accused them of drastically exaggerating and misrepresenting their claims. And there are few things I find as charming as the clip clopping of hooves through the park.
Really what it should come down to is an independent investigation into the horses? living conditions by the city, not what two actors have to say about the issue. Though I do relish the thought of the possibly obscenity-laced tirade Alec Baldwin may go into, which would probably do more harm than good.

Linda Hogan is getting really serious with her 19-year-old boyfriend (heavy emphasis on the ?boy?) Charlie Hill. Linda?s in Park City, Utah to celebrate the Sundance Film Festival. And I use the word ?celebrate? because I?m not sure what other verb to go with to explain why she?s there. Linda?s not an actress, she?s barely a celebrity ? really the only reason she?s famous at all is for her sorta famous, soon-to-be ex-husband Hulk Hogan, and her poor parenting and family drama. Oh, and being tacky as fuck.
And to make sure she upped the tacky, Linda made out with her young lover all over Park City. Likely causing an unprecedented wave of vomiting throughout the city.
Pop Tarts noticed that the one woman getting most of the attention in the oddly quiet (and much warmer than normal) Park City on Saturday was none other than “Hogan Knows Best” star, Linda Bollea [Hogan]. So what was she doing at a film fest? Like most celebs in town, a whole lot of nothing.
Donning a terrible fur coat and Pink lipstick, Bollea paraded her 19-year-old boytoy Charlie Hill up and down Main Street to fully utilize the photo op and at one point traffic controllers had to stop the cars in every direction as so many “fans” and paps were crazily rushing to get a snap of the happy-to-pose twosome. Although perhaps it was more a case of follow the pack as most snappers were asking “Who are we taking a photo of again?”
But Ms. Bollea isn’t as “blonde” as she may come across, and the reality star was smart enough to cash in on her (already-expired?) fifteen minutes of fame by stopping off for some swag at House of Hype, St. Ives Spa and the Hollywood Life House for a free (of course) Fake Bake tan. Linda even asked the vendors if they wanted to take her picture. How gracious.
Linda’s jailbird son Nick also attended the festival and seemed to have no problem with his mama consistently making out with (not to mention canoodling intimately with) her boyfriend who was actually his high school pal. Let’s just say their behavior would have been better left for an area of privacy rather than for the pedestrians of Park City.
“He isn’t Linda’s boytoy anymore,” a source close to Bollea told Tarts. “Things between them are very serious.”

Well? I feel sick. Nearly every story about the Hogan family causes a wave of nausea to course through my body, but this one really ups it. How in the world is Linda Hogan getting so much attention? She should not be entitled to swag. Nor should she fake and bake anymore than she already has. And Charlie Hill gives me the creeps. Not just that he used to be good friends with Nick Hogan, or the large age difference between he and Linda? there?s just something about his face that gives me the willies.
Really, Linda, could you possibly make yourself more unbecoming? If you want to shove your tongue down your boyfriend?s throat, it?s gross as hell but no one can stop you. But keep it to yourself, for everyone else?s sake.

When I read the script, it was entertaining and informative to know what the challenges were and what it was like to be in the environment.?
While all the other kids imagined what it’d be like to plow Brooke Shields, Tom dreamed about assassinating Hitler. Sounds like a normal childhood to me. One which could lead to repressed homosexuality and masochistic fantasies involving Adolph and Japanese tentacle rape.

Paris Hilton is promoting … what again? A perfume? A book? A sex tape? Oh no, she?s promoting this show BBF (acronym for British Best Friend), that?s about Paris trying to find a new friend who doesn?t think she?s a galloping idiot. She sat down with British magazine, Fabulous, to discuss best friends, loyalty tests, P. Diddy?s parties, Prince William, London shopping and how much she loves Angelina Jolie.
As always, Paris comes across as very vague, self-absorbed and not very bright. At least she isn?t reiterating her claim that she?s only slept with “a couple” of people. Here are some of the highlights from the interview.
Not only does Paris Hilton have her own clothing and perfume lines, she acts, sings, and is a well-established TV star. She may be a Hilton heiress, but she’s well on her way to making her own billions. However, while she’s been lucky in business, Paris’ love life is another matter. Single again after splitting with Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, 29, last November, she’s back to the endless whirl of parties and paparazzi pursuits that is life on Planet Paris. But instead of focusing on finding a man, she’s hunting for a new BBF (British best friend) and this being Paris, it’s all happening in the public eye?
What qualities are you looking for in a bezzie mate?
Someone I can trust. And they have to be compassionate, caring and fun.
Halitosis or hideous dress sense are a given, but what other qualities would make you rule out a girl as your BBF? I don’t like it when people are liars or users ? girls who are just trying to be my friend for the wrong reasons. I’ve had a lot of people in my past who were friends with me just to get publicity. When I was young, my mom or sister used to have to point out if someone was using me to make a name for themselves ? you know, linking arms with me on the red carpet and trying to get in every picture. But now I can see for myself when someone is just hungry for attention. I have this great test to see if a girl’s a real friend. When we’re shopping I’ll pick out an outfit that I know looks hot and one that is awful. If my friend says the bad one looks good, I know she’s not a good friend.
Cunning. We’ll try that ourselves. Aside from getting your designer cast-offs to wear, what’s so good about being Paris’ BBF?
Whenever I’m hired to do appearances I always get to take one or two friends with me. I’m away so much I’d get lonely if I didn’t. My BBF would get to go jet-setting with me to amazing parties too, like the ones on P Diddy’s yacht. Apart from me, he throws the best parties ? they’re so A-list.
Do you ever row with your best friends?
No, I hate arguments and confrontation. In LA there are always false rumours going around so sometimes you do have to sort out problems with friends. But I always try to talk about things and make it better.
Who’s your dream best friend?
I love Angelina Jolie. She’s strong but gorgeous and uses her fame for good to make a big difference in the world. That’s a great quality. I’d have a lot in common with her.
Are you looking forward to filming in London?
I love everything about London. It’s my favourite city. I want to move there when I have a family. I love the people, the accents, the food, the shopping.
Er, sorry. The food?
Yeah! I love fish and chips. And mash. But not beer. I’ve never even had a sip of beer.
With a cracking figure like yours, we bet you exercise and eat healthily?
Thank you. I used to be good and do Pilates three times a week and run and cycle too. But now I just don’t have time. And I eat everything, like fried foods, sodas, McDonald’s. And Cadbury Flakes are my favourite chocolate. I buy hundreds every time I’m in London.
You’re making us feel all patriotic now. What else do you love?
Well it’s not true that I love Prince William. I read that I asked him to spend New Year’s Eve with me. That’s just silly. But I do love your shops. Last time I was over I had no time to shop, so I can’t wait to go to Harrods and Hamleys.
So make us jealous. What’s the last thing you bought on your Visa card?
The other week I bought a Barbie-pink Bentley with Swarovski crystals. It’s really cute.
We loved your US election spoofs. Ever thought of running for office?
One day I think that would be a great idea. Maybe in 20 years.
What would you do?
I’d stop the war and bring world peace by making all the world leaders best friends! Oh, and I’d paint the White House Pink and build a cute doghouse for the First Dogs.

Oh, where to start? Let?s start with my favorite subject, the food. Do I really buy that Paris loves the food in England? Not really. I don?t buy that she called it ?mash? either - she?s not smart enough to call British food items by their British names. Now, about that Angelina stuff… is Paris serious? She honestly looks in the mirror and sees herself as a woman comparable to Angelina Jolie?!? And that bit about running for office. Argh! Sometimes, when I look at Paris, I understand why America gets a bad rap. For all of our strengths as a country, we still have to live down the fact that our country created Paris Hilton.

I?m one of those geeks obsessed with Lost. Unfortunately, I?m also one of those snobs who thinks that the ?stars? of the show, Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, are the weakest, most boring characters of the show. I adore Naveen Andrews? character (Sayid) and wish that more screen time was devoted to Josh Holloway?s bare chest and Southern drawl.
Despite her character being a bit boring, Evangeline Lilly has always been an interesting interview. She seems very earnest and thoughtful. She doesn?t own a television, and she has admitted that she?s not interested in pop culture as a rule. She?s a Canadian who comes from a very devout Evangelical family. She?s worked as a missionary in the Philippines, and as a flight attendant before becoming an actress. In a recent interview to promote the upcoming premiere of Lost this Wednesday, Lilly admits that she?s not interested in continuing her acting career after the show is done.
?Lost? star Evangeline Lilly plans to take a break from acting once the show ends so she can finally fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a charity worker and writer.
The 30-year-old plays Kate Austen in the hit TV drama series, which is due to wrap up in 2010.
And while Lily admits it will be difficult to put her acting career on hold, she is determined to follow up her true passions. She says, “I intend on pursuing a lot of other things in my life. I’d love to have more time to devote to hobbies…?
“Before the show I had intended to be some sort of humanitarian worker. I’ll definitely have more time to pursue more of that. Writing is my first and foremost passion - I can’t stop writing. I write all the time. So I want to try to either publish something I’ve written or sell a script or work on that.”
But the star insists she won’t retire from Hollywood altogether: “The reality is when you open a door, there is no sense in closing it - so I would never say I’ll never act again. But it’s definitely not my priority.”

She?s been vocal about her desire to go back to humanitarian work before, and I applaud her. In truth, Evangeline’s not a really talented actress. She?s very pretty and wholesome-looking, and I suppose that?s enough to get her parts in the future. She?s seems very anti-Hollywood, and I doubt she would be ?corrupted? if she stuck around. Evangeline strikes me as very grounded and I hope that whatever she does after Lost, she find contentment.

Kelly Osbourne turned herself in to the police. She was charged with “common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of August 29, 2008.” Kelly supposedly slapped Zoe Griffin at Punk nightclub because she made fun of her fianc, Luke Worrall, for not knowing what an earthquake was. Hint: It’s what Kelly sets off every times she rolls out of bed. Kelly told Zoe:
“I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he’s upset.”
Kelly was released on bail and has a court date in March. Until then, she will continue lumbering around London casually terrorizing residents like the pasty white dog-eating monster that she is.

Never one to control her temper, Kelly Osbourne has been arrested and charged with assault as a result of an incident in which she slapped gossip columnist Zoe Griffin back in August of 2008.
The 24-year-old singer/DJ reportedly flew into a rage after Griffin called her fianc, Luke Worrall, stupid. And now she’s being formally charged.

Looks like the game of “Are They or Aren’t They Together?” between Lindsay Lohan and gal-pal, DJ Samantha Ronson is in full-on “They Are” mode after the pair, who have weathered numerous breakup reports in recent weeks, made the scene together in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.
According to witnesses at the Declare Yourself event ? one of several A-list bashes leading up to Tuesday’s inauguration of new U.S. President Barack Obama ? LiLo and SamRo “looked very happy together… very much the happy couple… All signs of any lovers’ quarrel appear to be gone.”
Perhaps in keeping with the historic events unfolding in the coming days, or maybe just trying not to overshadow her more camera-shy girlfriend, who was on-hand to DJ the Jessica Alba and Jamie Foxx-hosted event, Linds looked very demure in a conservative black dress and ponytail as they strode the Declare Yourself red carpet together.
When it came time for a nervous Sam to pose for the paparrazzi, Lindsay offered her support, asking her girlfriend, “You want me to join you?” before sidling up to Sam for some shots together.

Madonna has taken desperation to a new level in a new photo spread for W Magazine meant to promote her album “Hard Candy.” The CD was released in April, and her tour wrapped at the end of last year, so I’m not
sure why these are coming out now. The 50 year-old singer poses in white string underwear and with a bandage wrapped around her boobs, her nipple visible in one shot. It’s not anything new for Madonna and that’s the problem, she’s been hawking the same bill of goods for over 20 years.
Madonna’s trainer Tracy Anderson is recently quoted as saying Madonna looks 19 and will never get fat. Anderson is known as a notorious con artist in Indiana, where she’s been sued six times for abandoning various health club businesses and for failing to pay multiple suppliers and landlords. She left her husband for a married man she owed tens of thousands to for custom pilates machines, convincing the guy to invest even more in her poorly managed business. The two broke up once Anderson hooked up with Madonna and Paltrow and started tasting fame.
Hopefully the mainstream press will look more closely at this woman now that she’s taking credit for the stick thin figures of the two faux Brit celebrities. Madonna and Gwyneth would surely be starved and toned to perfection no matter who was coaching them. It’s kind of fitting that they’re promoting a con artist, though.

The Tom Cruise Career Comeback is in full force - and it?s working! Xenu loves a comeback, and so does America, apparently. A somewhat contrite Tom Cruise has apologized to glib Matt Lauer, toned down the Scientology speeches, received a Golden Globe nomination for his hilariously crude turn in Tropic Thunder, been in a critically well-received Nazi movie, and perhaps, to look a little ?refreshed? for his comeback, a little nip-tuck? Cruise has been looking mysteriously svelte and ?tight? around the jaw… but I digress.
Most of the biggest films with the biggest box offices make half (if not more) of their money in foreign markets. So it makes perfect sense that a big star like Tom Cruise would take his comeback tour to Seoul, South Korea to promote the hell out of Valkyrie. While in Seoul, Cruise talked about how much he wanted to kill Hitler when he was a child. There are a couple of things about his answers that make me uncomfortable, but I?ll get to that later. Here?s what Xenu approves of.
Tom Cruise, who fails to assassinate Adolph Hitler in his new movie “Valkyrie,” said he grew up really wanting to kill the Nazi leader.
In the World War II thriller based on a true story of the unsuccessful attempt by German soldiers to kill Hitler, Cruise plays Colonel Claus Von Stauffenber who plants a briefcase bomb under a table at Hitler’s military headquarters. A heavy wooden table saves Hitler and Stauffenberg is executed with his co-conspirators.
“I always wanted to kill Hitler, I hated him,” the Hollywood star of such major blockbusters as “Top Gun” and “Mission Impossible,” told the press during a visit to Seoul to promote his latest film.
“As a child studying history and looking at documents, I wondered, why didn’t someone stand up and try to stop it? When I read the script, it was entertaining and informative to know what the challenges were and what it was like to be in the environment.”
Stauffenberg’s legacy helped ease the burden of guilt about World War II and the Holocaust Germans still endure. But Germans had balked at the prospect of Cruise playing Stauffenberg as they objected to the actor’s ties to Scientology, the movement founded in the 1950s by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.
Germany, which does not recognize Scientology as a religion and regards it as a cult, made it difficult for the crew to film in the Bendlerblock building and courtyard where Stauffenberg was shot dead.
“I’ve never heard of this story before… It turned out to be an incredible adventure, just to be there and shoot at these locations that Stauffenberg was. It was a very powerful experience and hopefully it will communicate with the audience,” the actor said. “It has certainly influenced my life, just knowing that there were people who tried to stop him (Hitler).”

I swear I?m not being nit-picky. I totally understand what Tom Cruise is trying to say - something along the lines of ?When I was in school, studying the history of WWII, I never understood why people couldn?t see through Hitler?s crap and try to take him out.? That?s what he should of said. Instead, Cruise sounds like he wants to be a time-traveling Highlander or something. And as far as this repetition of ?hating? Hitler - well, duh. We all hate Hitler, Xenu! It?s not as if Cruise is blowing our minds with profundity. As if he ever is.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are back in Berlin while Brad wraps filming on Inglourious Basterds. The famous couple and their six children aren’t staying in the palatial mansion where they first holed up in the German capital. According to German reports, they’re now occupying a 4,000 square foot apartment above the Ritz Carlton Hotel with full hotel services and a separate entrance.
Brad will attend the premiere of his film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button tonight in Berlin at the Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz, near Brad and Angelina’s temporary accommodations. I live in Berlin, and would definitely go to the premiere if I was there, but I’m now on vacation with my family in sunny Florida for the second week. I’m disappointed to be missing the premiere tonight, and to also miss Tom Cruise’s appearance in Berlin on Tuesday for the Valkyrie premiere, but I get to be in America at one of the most exciting times in history. I wouldn’t miss this for anything.
Brad and Angelina were photographed out last night at a restaurant in Berlin, where they were reportedly celebrating the birthday of Angelina’s makeup artist. Angelina was drinking wine last night, just like at the Golden Globes, which definitely makes those pregnancy rumors suspect. I wonder why her makeup artist is in Berlin and if she lives there or is traveling with them.

In a surprising turn of events, reviewers actually seem to like Mariah Carey in a film. And no, she isn?t playing a self-obsessed singer.
At least one early review was positive. Show business paper Daily Variety called “Push,” “courageous and uncompromising,” and added that “among the many delightful surprises in the film is Mariah Carey, who is pitch-perfect as a welfare counselor and serves as this demi-tragedy’s Greek chorus.”
In “Push,” Carey has chosen the small but pivotal role of a woman who unravels Precious’ monstrous home life of abuse and teenage motherhood.

Mariah describes her character in a slightly confusing manner. Mariah plays Mrs Weiss, a social welfare worker helping a teenage mother deal with her abusive past.
“Mrs Weiss is sort of the eyes of the audience, the people who don’t know anybody like this in their lives,” Carey said.
“Yes it’s her job … but even someone who goes through that every day and sees these horrific things, she hears something that changes her,” Carey said about the range of emotions she must show as Mrs. Weiss.

I think she means that, like the audience, we?re seeing this situation ourselves for the first time, and we?re meant to be affected by it in the same way as she is on screen.
It?s good to see Mariah actually take on something where she?s not carrying the film, and it isn?t just a vanity role for her. She obviously knew she would have to work hard to win our favor following Glitter.
Also featured in the film is Mo?Nique as the abused teen’s mother, and Lenny Kravitz briefly as a nurse. Sherri Shepherd also has a small supporting role. Push is based on the novel of the same name, written by Sapphire. The central character, Precious, is played by Gabourey Sabide, which is possibly why there is so much star casting around her. The film is currently seeking a distributor.
Nick Cannon also appears in a Sundance film, The Killing Room, in a much larger role than Mariah’s. Unfortunately this role, like all of Nick Cannon?s life, is upstaged by his wife.

It’s been a rough couple of months for singer Katy Perry. Not only did she recently break up with her boyfriend, get totally dissed at the Grammy Awards, pick a fight with Lily Allen and get mistaken for some girl who looks a lot like her posting nude photos of herself on the Internet, but now she has to give back her recent NRJ Music Award for her hit single “I Kissed a Girl” due to a voting glitch.
US pop star Kate Perry was given the international song of the year award for “I Kissed a Girl” at a French music award, but it turns out her song wasn’t the best after all.
The host of the NRJ Music Award in the Riviera resort of Cannes announced at the end of the show Saturday that there had been a mistake in vote-counting and that Perry was not the winner.
The award instead went to Barbados-born singer Rihanna for “Disturbia.”
The trophies were handed out based on results of audience votes on NRJ’s website in the weeks leading up to the awards ceremony.
Perry, who had stepped up to the podium to pick up the award for international song of the year, did however win in another category — best international album for “One of the Boys”.
The international female artist of the year award went to Britney Spears who was not present to receive the honour. The Pussycat Dolls won for best international group and Enrique Iglesias was named top international male artist.

The Pussycat Dolls are the best international group? Maybe the best international group of hookers/lip syncers. Anyway, it had to be embarrassing for Katy to give the award back. In my opinion, if the stupid people in charge of the award can’t count the votes right, they should just let her keep the thing. It’s not like it’s an Academy Award or something - I’ve never even heard the NRJs. Hopefully, Katy’s year gets a little better. Maybe her upcoming world tour will keep her out of trouble.

Kelly Osbourne was arrested for allegedly slapping a gossip columnist over comment she made about her fiancee Luke Worall according to Daily Mail.
Witnesses claim the radio DJ flew into a rage after gossip columnist Zoe Griffin said her fianc, Luke Worrall, was stupid.
Griffin is said to have taunted Osbourne, 24, that Worrall, 19, did not know what an earthquake was.
Griffin said: 'Kelly shouted loudly in my ear, "I have an issue with you. Everyone has been laughing at my boyfriend."
A Met spokesman said: 'We can confirm a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police by appointment on 2 January.
'She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of 29 August 2008.'
“She has been bailed until a date in March.”
I guess you can say like mother, like daughter.
