Keeping an eye on her business ventures, Lauren Conrad showed up at the grand opening of the Paper Crown + Rifle Paper pop-up shop at The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (February 12).
Joined by Rifle Paper honcho Anna Bond, the former ?Hills? hottie perused the wares and chatted with customers while fans and paparazzi snapped up pics.
Having recently married her handsome husband William Tell, Lauren dished on the past five months of married life- "We already lived together, we already were very much partners, and we knew we were going to spend our lives together, so you know we had a beautiful wedding and it was so great." As for her Valentine?s Day plans, Conrad gushed, ?It?s a surprise so I can?t tell anybody!?

The ?So Yesterday? singer kept it causal in a white top and vintage jeans as she made her way back to her Mercedes SUV following a spot of retail therapy.

Stepping out for some promotional duties, Anna Kendrick showed up at the ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas on Wednesday night (February 11).
The ?Pitch Perfect? starlet was joined by costar Jeremy Jordan as she posed for photos ahead of the big premiere of their new movie ?The Last Five Years.?
Meanwhile, Anna told Elle DeGeneres that she was a little concerned about flashing the cameras at the Grammys last weekend given her low-cut pantsuit. ?I thought I had it all figured out with the pantsuit there. I was never going to wear a dress again, I was loving it. And then I had to sit very, very straight. I had a little tape, but I was still nervous about it. By the time I got home my back was killing me. It's just tape. You didn't staple it.?

Here?s the cover of Marie Claire Australia?s March issue, with Gwyneth Paltrow. It?s a bad cover for her, right? While I make fun of Our Lady of Perpetual Goops, she usually photographs well and she?s usually up for a good editorial. Anyway, in this MC interview, Gwyneth admits that she and Chris Martin had actually separated a year before their conscious uncoupling announcement. Which means both were free and clear to fool around with other people, I suppose. Some highlights:
The quiet separation: Marie Claire Australia claims she purchased a house as long ago as 2012 and then went through ‘a year of quiet separation’.
Working with Johnny Depp while she and Chris separated: “Nobody knew what Chris and I had been going through, so I didn’t say, ?Hey, this is what’s happening,’ but I did ask him mostly children-centric questions, like, ?How is it on them?’ and ?How did you do it?’”
On her split: “It’s very sad. You have an expectation of your life, and it’s sad to change that expectation.”
The ?conscious uncoupling? term: “OK, you can make fun of the term or whatever. I didn’t invent it.?
She and Chris are still tight: “We’ve worked really f–king hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”

At this point? yeah, of course she?s admitting it. We knew it already. She and Chris had spent several years living largely separate lives. They barely spent any time together. In fact, they spend so much time together post-split that I bet it sort of confuses their kids.
Other Goop news? Us Weekly had a funny story about Gwyneth bringing her kids to the Grammys and then trying to explain to them the difference between the awards for albums and records. Star Magazine also has a story about Gwyneth and her undercover boyfriend Brad Falchuk. Apparently, they?re still together but Brad wants to go public with their romance and really be her ?official?. A source tells Star: ?At first they were waiting for the hype around their relationship to die down, but now there?s no more excuses. He wants to start walking red carpets hand in hand.? They should totally go to the Oscars together.
Here are some pics of Gwyneth at the Grammys. Her dress was Stella McCartney. I don’t completely hate it, which shocked me.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian and North West in NYC last night. They were coming back from Kanye?s Adidas show. It seems like poor North was out late, which never fails to piss me off. I?m also bothered by the fact that North is wearing a toddler?s fur coat. Is this MINK? CB and I think it?s possibly mink, although I guess it?s also possible that this is just a really high-quality faux fur. I don?t really see why Kim would put North in faux fur considering the Kardashian-West clan is all about REAL fur. How excessive to get North a baby?s fur coat, something she?ll grow out of in a year. I mean, it?s bad enough to wear fur, but at least when you get a fur coat as an adult, you can wear it forever. This is a coat North will likely not even fit into next winter. As you can imagine, there?s already a backlash about the fur.
What else is going on with Kardashian Klan? Let?s see? you know that Kardashian Beauty event that Kim and Khloe attended two nights ago? Well, as it turns out, they only stayed there for five minutes. Seriously.
Kim and Khlo Kardashian mingled at a party for their hair care line, Kardashian Beauty, Monday for ?five minutes of the two-hour-long event,? spies said. But before their brief encounter with guests at Academy Mansion on the Upper East Side, they posed for photos for a half hour.
?It was a human wall of people taking their picture,? said a spy. ?They came out, someone asked for a selfie and it just turned into an iPhone shoot.?
Then they headed to a VIP area to hide before their next appearance.

Well, that?s not SO bad if they posed for fan photos for 30 minutes before spending all of five minutes at the actual event. Still, it?s pretty bad.

Staying busy with royal responsibilities, Kate Middleton took a trip south to Portsmouth, England on Thursday (February 12).
The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was in the harbor town to visit the construction site for the new Ben Ainslie Racing Headquarters and Visitor Centre and she looked to be enjoying herself as she mingled with the locals.
On Tuesday (February 10) Kate was in Beckenham, Kent where she bonded with the children and staff at the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School. Middleton even took a quick ukulele lesson from one of the kids. Headmaster John Ivens told press, ?She kept up with them. There?s a career there!?

Duchess Kate is working her fingers to the bone! Poor Kate. All she wants to do is get her hair done and maybe spend a few days on some marathon shopping excursions, but the new press secretary is hellbent on proving that Kate is a charitable workhorse. So Kate was sent out to attend a reception for the 1851 Trust, which is about sailing and getting kids involved in sailing and the America?s Cup. She had to go all the way to Portsmouth and spend time with Sir Ben Ainslie. Poor thing.
Kate is around six to seven months pregnant right now ? people keep saying she?s due in April, so the math is right. She?s carrying well, it seems. If anything, I think she looks smaller during this pregnancy than with her first. Maybe that?s just the effect of a decent coat though. This white coat with a belted higher waist is from Max Mara Studio Gilles. It costs 810, or about $1400. I actually like this look a lot, and that?s saying something. Do I wish I could tweak the styling a little bit? Sure. I?m not completely sold on that tiny little belt but I like that she went with navy accents all around (shoes, sapphires and clutch). Very nautical. I also think it?s obvious that this coat was originally very BUTTONY, but she had the buttons taken off ? you can still see the indentations. That?s bad.
And here?s a Classic Kate thing: she was spending time with kids painting a mural. So of course she wore a white coat, thus limiting her ability to interact with the paint-covered youth. You can read more about the trip here.
Also: the dress under the coat was just a basic-looking polka-dotted maternity dress.

During her interview with Meredith Vieira on Thursday (February 12) the ?Ugly Betty" babe announced the great news- "There's no green light, but it's definitely in the works. There is a script being written. They're my girls, three of my best friends to this day."

Rita Ora covers the March issue of Nylon to promote her role in 50 Shades as Christian Grey’s sister. Never let it be said that Rita doesn’t push her projects. She’s been talking about this role for over a year. Those who have seen 50 Shades are poking Rita on Twitter because she’s barely in the movie. People say she’s got anywhere between 3 and 90 seconds of screentime. That’s tough. Rita IS full of herself, so it’s funny that she may have ended up on the cutting room floor. Is her role very large in the books? I don’t know.
I’m ignoring the 50 Shades bits in this interview because ugh. Rita talks about other stuff like fashion and her new music. She never mentions Calvin Harris’ name, but the claws are out. After their bad romance ended, Calvin tossed epic shade at Rita and yanked his songs from her album. It’s going to be fine. Rita can throw shade too!
She’s matured as an artist: “It was a process to be like, ‘F*** it! I’m just gonna be me.’ With the first album, I was so hyped up to be signed with Jay Z. I was like, ‘Whatever! Jay f***in’ Z!’ Two, three years later, I was like, ‘You know what? People are actually interested in what I’m saying and how I’m dressing and how I’m acting.’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, I grew up and I looked at my a**, and it got a bit bigger and I’m sexier now.’ Might as well flaunt it! I feel more womanly.”
Her changing vision: “I had a breakup, or whatever, and it really made me realize what I was trying to do. I had been fixated on this love fantasy, but really it wasn’t like that, and I had to take myself back. For me, this was my moment where I had to be real and tell the truth and be honest. I love my pop songs, and I’m still gonna be pop, but this has just got a lot more depth to it.”
Rita is “punk”: The fashion world “needs confidence. It needs a massive boost. It needs a kind of, like, ‘F*** you.’ It needs another Madonna … which it’s not gonna get. But it needs a person who takes chances. You have amazing girls like Emma Watson–glamorous, gorgeous, clean, beautiful girls. But where’s that punk energy? That fun, crazy, respected but still like, ‘S–t, she’s just doing her thing’ person? That’s who I am!”

Rita is a “punk” fashionista now? I don’t understand what she’s saying about maturing as an artist. Her tush got bigger, so she’s more of a woman and therefore more mature? Maybe something got lost in journalistic translation. Rita recently twerked in a bikini for Instagram, which wasn’t very mature.
Anyway. I’m sure Calvin will catch wind of Rita dissing his shallow songs. I wonder who’s writing her new tunes because it isn’t her.

I keep forgetting that Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are engaged. Hell, I keep forgetting that they?re together. At first their relationship seemed cooked up by publicists, but after several months passed, it seems more like they?re just another boringly attractive couple. For what it?s worth, I thought she was more interesting with Nick Loeb, even though Loeb seemed like a total toolbox. But there was passion and heat and rage there.
Speaking of, back when Loeb and Vergara were together, he kept talking about how he wanted babies with her. She always sounded like she wasn?t interested ? she already has an adult son, Manolo, and Sofia?s career motto seems to be ?strike while the iron is hot.? She doesn?t want to put her career on pause to have anyone?s baby. But still, when she was with Loeb, she went and had her eggs frozen. There were even stories that she had a surrogate all lined up and everything and it was happening. But nothing happened. She broke up with Loeb and got with Joe Manganiello and now they?re engaged. And I guess they want a baby?
After Sofa Vergara and her fianc, Joe Manganiello, spent nearly two months of searching for a surrogate, ?In Touch? has learned that the duo finally found a match!
?It was hard, because Sofa wanted to make sure that the woman was someone she could trust,? an insider exclusively says in the new issue of ?In Touch.?
While ?In Touch? will not release the name of the surrogate, it can reveal that she works closely with the ?Modern Family? star. ?Sofa is friends with this woman and spends a lot of time with her,? says the insider, ?so she can watch the pregnancy firsthand as if it were her own.?
And while another source says the reason Sofa (who is already mom to Manolo, 23, from her first marriage) won?t carry the baby herself is ?a closely guarded secret,? the pair aren?t hiding their excitement. ?Sofa?s said from day one that Joe is the perfect dad,? adds the source. ?They can?t wait to be parents.?

There has never been a confirmation from Sofia that she A) really does want another kid or B) can?t naturally conceive again. I think it?s pretty much a case of Sofia not wanting to be pregnant and not wanting to put her career on hold for any reason. To me, that sounds like the wrong way to bring a kid into the world, but whatever. I?m not doubting that Sofia will take care of her gestational surrogate in every way, and if that?s what she really wants, God bless. It just feels like Sofia gets with these guys who don?t have kids and she thinks she has to just give in and have a baby some way instead of just saying ?No thanks, I?ve done that already and I don?t want to do it again at this point in my life.?

These are photos of Ben Affleck, 42, taking his daughters Violet and Seraphina out to karate class and shopping for Valentine’s presents. Violet is holding a fuzzy red pillow which The Daily Mail claims is for her mother, Jennifer Garner. Cute! I also like how the girls are in karate. My son used to take karate and it teaches kids discipline, self esteem and of course self defense.
Affleck looks super buff and you know that he’s trying to show it off in that tight shirt. He’s also much more clean cut than we’re used to seeing him. His hair is short and he’s not sporting any of the facial scruff that he usually has. I like this look on him, he looks much younger when he’s clean-shaven like this.
He is of course in shape for his role as Batman in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, out in 2016. Affleck won’t be able to slack on his fitness or diet routine anytime soon. There are two sequels coming out in which he’ll reprise his role, The Justice League Part 1 in 2017 and Justice League Part 2 in 2019. I wonder if he ever thinks of all the years he’ll tied up in this franchise and questions whether he’s up to the challenge. I bet that Damon’s re-commitment to Bourne helped convince Affleck that he could also do an action franchise. Those two are close and live right down the street from each other. Damon used to say, years ago, that he was getting too old for Bourne, but he’s got a new film coming out in 2016 too.
Affleck was just announced as one of the presenters at the Oscars on February 22. I hope that his wife, Jennifer Garner, comes too and I hope they pose together on the red carpet, but that’s probably a pipe dream.

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie arriving at LAX with her youngest children, Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt. Angelina apparently brought Knox and Viv to London with her for a few days, while she participated in interfaith discussions about sexual violence against women in conflict, and announced the creation of the Centre on Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics.
It?s always interesting to see how the kids get split up with their parents for various events, outings or trips. With six kids, there are lots of different combos. I feel like we mostly see Shiloh hanging with Zahara, or Shiloh hero-worshipping her older brothers. I think Viv and Zahara might be close, because I suspect Viv and Z are both girly-girls. Or does Viv just hang with Knox most of the time? Do they have that special twin bond? I?ll say this ? Knox always reminds me so strongly of Brad. Knox is just miniature Brad, only Knox is more gingery.
Meanwhile, Angelina?s dad Jon Voight told Vulture that Angelina should have gotten nominated for an Oscar for directing Unbroken:
This was supposed to be Angelina Jolie?s breakthrough year as a director. But while her biographical World War II epic Unbroken recently drew Oscar notices in three categories ? including Best Cinematography ? she?s glaringly absent among the list of Best Director nominees. Among those irked by the snub is her dad, Jon Voight, who stood up for her at Clive Davis?s annual pre-Grammys gala in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.
“I wish she had [been nominated], because I think she deserved it,” he told reporters. “I think her direction is astounding, really astounding, and if she wasn?t my daughter, I?d still say, ‘I want to work for that one.’ She?s a great actor?s director ? the pace of the film, the size of the film. Unbelievably difficult stuff that she accomplished.”

As I?ve seen more of the nominated films this year, I?m not mad that Angelina didn?t get nominated for Best Director. I do think the nomination for The Imitation Game?s Morten Tyldum was sort of a throw-away though ? TIG was adequately directed, the same as Unbroken, so why did Tyldum get nominated and Jolie didn?t? Is it because TIG is British-y and fancy and Harvey Weinstein wields a crazy amount of power? So, if we took out Tyldum, who should go in that place? Selma?s director, Ava DuVernay.
