Emily Ratajkowski is suddenly all over the place. She?s promoting We Are Your Friends, the Zac Efron-is-a-DJ movie, where she plays the girlfriend. As I said yesterday, Emily has been pretty smart about her transition to acting ? she hasn?t dumped on her modeling career and if anything, her film roles make her more desirable and in-demand as a model. She?s fronting new ad campaigns, she gets more magazine covers and she does interviews with major media outlets. It?s the best of both worlds for her. I may have spoken too soon though ? as it turns out, in Emily?s recent interview in British GQ, she did diss the music video that made her a household name!
What she thinks of ?Blurred Lines? now: ?’I have to say, from someone who really knows the beginning of ‘Blurred Lines’ when it comes on, half the time it’s the Marvin Gaye song, but I’ve already tried to leave the place or hide, and then it’s like. ‘Oh it’s the Marvin Gaye one, what the f–k was I stressing about? They’re that similar.’?
She wouldn?t do the video now if they asked her: ?’I think I’ve done enough nudity now that I don’t really need to do ‘Blurred Lines’ again. Like, if someone asked me to do it now, I’d probably say no. I didn’t feel objectified when I was making it. I felt like I was having a lot of fun as a sexual person.?
She turned it down at first: ?’It was so bad. I was like, there is absolutely no way they could pay me enough money. I didn’t give a s**t. Because it’s me, and it’s me, so I don’t care who’s attached to it.”

She later says that director Diane Martel changed her mind and she (Emily) respected Diane?s vision and that?s what convinced her to do it. So? does she get a pass for disrespecting a song and video that were so central in launching her career? Does she get a pass because ultimately, everyone dumps on Robin Thicke and who cares? Sure.
Emily also did a feature with the New York Times about makeup, skincare, hair and all of that. It?s an interesting read but that?s only because I genuinely like reading about how professional models take care of themselves. Here are some assorted quotes:
Perfume: ?I actually don?t wear fragrance. I always feel like I smell cheap. I guess I just haven?t found one that?s not overpowering or too sweet. Even when I try one of the super masculine scents, I just think, ?I don?t want to smell like a man.? Besides, I like my own scent.?
Her favorite spa service: ?I?m pretty terrified of facials. I?ve had enough bad ones, and honestly, I don?t break out. My big treat is that once a month I go to a Korean spa. The one I go to, called Natura, is not as popular as the ones most of Hollywood goes to. I usually go about 40 minutes before my appointment, and you can get into all these different pools. Then you get a body scrub, and you?re lying there naked with 20 other women. They just treat you like a piece of meat, but it?s worth it. Then you shower, and I like the acupressure massage. Those ladies are strong! They even put grated cucumber on your face. I do have to warn: It?s not your traditional spa. There is no one greeting you and asking how your day is. But that?s what I love about it. I let my mind shut off and have someone take care of what needs to be done. Afterward, my skin is so soft, and I always sleep so well that night.
Diet & Fitness: ?For me, it?s about feeling good about what you eat. I do love turmeric and beet juices. It?s so L.A., you can?t avoid it. But I don?t have a trainer, and I don?t really go to the gym. I go on long walks and hikes with my girlfriends. That?s about it. I?m just not a crazy fitness person. I?m definitely an outlier in the industry.?

That spa service sounds intense, but I might enjoy something like that. I actually hate making small talk with hairstylists and manicurists and the like, which is one of the reasons I don?t go in for a lot of that stuff (plus, I?m pretty cheap). As for her not working out in a gym and not having a trainer? do you believe her? Eh.

Kristen Stewart is such a big fan of the romper. I feel like this is the millionth time we?ve seen her in a romper, although that might just be my imagination. These are photos of K-Stew at last night?s LA premiere of American Ultra, the stoner action-comedy starring Kristen and Jesse Eisenberg. Kristen?s romper is by Zuhair Murad, which surprised me a little ? Kristen has a big Chanel contract and I would have expected her to wear something, anything by Chanel for her first big red carpet in months. Anyway, I think she looks cute. This isn?t my favorite look from her or anything, but it?s fine. If I had to change something, I would have changed her hair. The center part doesn?t work for her, it makes her look too ?flat.?
Kristen has been talking all week, but none of it has been especially noteworthy. She chatted about auditioning for Woody Allen and getting a part in his newest film (?It feels good to prove yourself, because it’s weird when people just hand you roles and you’re like, ‘You’ve never even met me, you may hate me!’?) and how she?s quietly pursuing music these days, mostly with a guitar. Then there was this interview Kristen and Jesse did with Uproxx. This is absolutely the most eye-rolly interview you will read all week and it?s mostly Jesse! Kristen complains about the media and it?s slightly annoying, but Jesse takes the bitching to some next-level BS. Some assorted quotes from K-Stew:
Kristen on journalists feigning passion for art: ?I love how people like to make statements as if they?re feigning true passion, when really they?re just using you opportunistically to get hits on their website. And I?m like, ?Oh, cool, so you pretend like you care about something where you don?t have a thought ? you don?t even have a f–king thought about any of it.? It?s literally just, ?She said one word? Enter it. F–king harpoon her.?
On people being shocked that she won the Cesar: ?Because Twilight is so huge. Do you know what I mean? Because Twilight infiltrated everyone?s [perception]. I think if you walked into a grocery store and asked somebody if they saw Clouds of Sils Maria or Twilight, they?d probably be like, ?Twilight, and she?s a terrible f–king actress.?.. I also feel that anything overtly popular in the United States feels entirely owned by the public, therefore if they don?t deem it worthy, then they?re like, ?We put you here. And if you do not bend over and give us absolutely everything we want, then we need to let you know.? They become vindictive.?
Whether she thinks Twilight should be rebooted: ?I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It?s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn?t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you: I would be interested. I?d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn?t emotionally affect me one way or the other.

Some days, I really do wonder if Kristen lacks some critical self-awareness. This is not one of those days. I like that she just owns the fact that everyone thinks she?s a terrible actress because of Twilight. She?s not throwing anyone under the bus, it?s just an acknowledgement of how she?s perceived. As for the complaints about the press? girl, ?the press? didn?t bang a married guy in the back of their mom?s Mini Cooper. YOU DID THAT.

Christina Aguilera has been keeping a much lower profile for the past year, which means that we can go months without seeing any new photos of her and we can definitely go months without writing about anything to do with her. Christina was out in the Hamptons to perform at an event over the weekend and? maybe it?s just that we haven?t seen her in a while. Maybe it?s the makeup, which was probably pretty heavy because she was performing. Maybe it?s some weight gain, which might really change her face. Or maybe Christina got something ?done? in the past few months and this event was the debut of her new face.
Am I going crazy here? The thing is, I can?t really pinpoint what?s so different, I only know that my brain is like ?That?s not Christina Aguilera!? Is it makeup? Something with her nose? Some eye work? Excessively Botoxed? Fillers? Weight gain? Please help me. What is different here so I won?t go crazy?
The timing sort of makes sense? The Voice comes back September 21. She?s probably going to be doing loads of press. So a month or two ago, she went in for? something. And now she?s all healed and looking ?fresh? in time for the new season.

I honestly didn?t even know that Julianne Hough had a serious boyfriend, but she does and he just proposed to her. Julianne posted an Instagram (below) confirming her engagement to Washington Capitals hockey player Books Laich. Is it rude to say something about her fianc being HOT AS HELL? Brooks Laich is gorgeous. This is my type ? somewhat scruffy, tall, very fair, light eyes, eye crinkles. If I was building a boyfriend with an ideal physical type, the guy would look a lot like this. How in the world did Julianne Hough date someone like Ryan Seacrest and then end up with a gorgeous hockey player? Anyway, here?s her engagement announcement:

What’s your nighttime routine? Brushing your teeth and silently weeping at life passing you by? Not Emily Ratajkowski. She has a slightly different routine. She strips off all her clothes then jumps into bed to watch Game of Thrones. Yea, it’s a fantasy come to life. She tells Harper’s Bazaar:
I chug water and take off my makeup. I don’t sleep with clothes on, so I just get naked, get under the covers, put on Game of Thrones, and relax.
That is sexy, so sexy. I need to know one question…what’s her thread count?? In the very next breath, she shoots an arrow through a million hearts.
I’ll catch up with my boyfriend and maybe read.
…What. Is this one of those tricks where she reveals her boyfriend to be her dog? You know how those girls put up pics of their dogs and say, this is the only boyfriend for me, or something like that. *Checks Internet* Wait… *sighs* Guess it’s true. Guess I’ll come out from under her bed now.
