Kate Beckinsale has a new brand-ambassadorship: she?s the new spokesperson for MRVL?s Skin Solutions, a skincare brand. While I think Kate is very beautiful and she has lovely skin, I?m not sure I would hire someone who has so much cosmetic work? Of course, she denies that she?s had work done, but we have eyes. To promote this skincare company, Kate chatted at length with People Magazine about her skincare regimen and how she takes baths every day. Some highlights:
Her skincare routine: I didnt really have a skincare routine until I was much older, probably in my late thirties, early forties. Im really lucky, my mums got really good skin. I think obviously some of it is a genetic thing, although you can mess that up. I didnt see sun for the first several decades of my life and thats probably been a big help. A great deal of it was geography [growing up in England], but the other thing was on the very rare occasions when we would go on a family vacation somewhere hot, I was paranoid that I would get freckles in a mustache formation on my face. So I was wearing Factor 70 [SPF]. I just didnt want a mustache, thats really why I used sunscreen.
Her go-to products: Beckinsales other hero products include Cetaphil soap, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, my hair really likes it, she says, plus cherry and strawberry Chapstick, which she calls her absolute jam and still uses today. ?Skincare-wise, Ive never done anything crazy like a peel. I really would like to, because I see people whove had them but I just think something will go wrong and Id be scarred.
Why MRVL: [The company] has such a lovely setup in terms of philanthropy. They have these orphanages that they contribute money towards. Plus the product is amazing. So given that and I really liked what the company was doing, I thought, Great. I didnt want to be behind something that I didnt like.
She doesn?t like to shill products: Im an actress, I dont want to be selling products, she says, but that idea is slightly more interesting to me as Im older, to be honest with you. Of course youre going to have great skin when youre 19 years old. I think people are slightly more interested in How do you not turn into a walnut overnight?
Scorpion milking: MRVLs products incorporate a peptide (humanely) derived from scorpion venom. Its super unusual. Theres no other products that have this particular peptide, says Beckinsale. I was incredibly concerned [at first], Okay theres something from a scorpion. Like, what the f have we done to the scorpion? That was my first concern, were not crushing up a scorpion? No. Its all very careful and gentle and its hand-milking. I cant imagine milking a scorpion, but here we are.
She?s not obsessed with aging: I think other people seem to be very obsessed with aging in a way that I am not. I am asked about that a lot. The minute I turned 31, press-wise, theyd say, Heading towards 40. And you just go, Pardon? nobody said that to me when I was 10 and I was almost 20. Its a very different thing. So I think its possible for people to create 40 as a real terrifying moment. I found 39 much harder precisely because of that, but Im in a much happier situation in my forties than I was in my thirties. But I dont actually think about it that much. I think about it because people ask me about it, but I dont think I would [otherwise]. Things havent started to fall off yet and I havent had crazy hormone changes. [Those are coming] down the road and Im sure that will make me think about it much more, but at the moment nothing feels wildly different than it has for a while.
She needs her baths: I literally cannot transition from day to night unless I have submerged myself in water. Which is really annoying because I could get a hotel room and itll have cockroaches and go, Okay, fine, But if [the room] doesnt have a bathtub, Ill be like, Sorry, can I move? I really need to have that every day, no matter what. Even when its Oscar night and youre getting home at seven in the morning once youve been to 15 parties. I still have to go through the whole bath thing.

She?s 48 years old, I think she probably has been dealing with hormonal changes and maybe she?s just one of those women who breezes through it. The kind of woman who can say in all seriousness that she doesn?t even think about aging, and that she has to take a bath every day. The bath everyday thing is very British, right? There aren?t many Americans who need to be submerged in water every day. As for her must-have products? I switch between Pantene and Suave because I like the smells and I think they work well on my hair, so I?m with her on that. I also think she is right to talk about good genes and not spending a lot of time in the sun.

Last month my British bae Kate Beckinsale was rushed to the hospital while filming in Vegas. At the time, the only thing that we knew about the incident was that she injured her back. She posted a photo looking gawjus in a hospital bed. Kate was recently on the Late Late Show with James Corden. Kate told James that she wasn?t even filming a scene when she injured herself. Kate said she was getting dressed in her hotel room and when she bent over to pull up her leggings she heard her back pop like a ?guitar string snapping.? Kate said she couldn?t ?walk, lay down or sit down.? An ambulance came and that they had to roll Kate in a sheet to get her to the hospital. Below are a few more details via Today:
Well, having done eight or nine hundred action movies, I hurt myself putting on a pair of leggings in a hotel room, the Jolt star said.
While Corden said hed assumed Beckinsale had hurt herself by falling off a building or doing another crazy stunt on set, she told him she was actually filming an intense, emotional drama when she sustained her injury.
It felt like a kind of guitar string snapped. And everything was horrific, Beckinsale said. She added that the immediate pain was worse than having a baby.
Beckinsale said she tried to figure out how she could get to the hospital, but added she couldnt walk, lay down, sit down or do anything.
Eventually an ambulance came and they sort of rolled out a sheet and picked me up in it like a sort of sausage and put me on a gurney and then I went to the hospital and was given a lot of drugs, she said.
Beckinsale, who doesnt drink, said she quickly found out during her hospital stay what kind of a drunk she is.
?I?m not a ?do you know who I am, have you seen all my films? type, which is a huge relief because I?m really glad I?m not,? she said. ?But I am a ?everybody?s trying to steal my f ovaries person.

The way Kate recounted this story to James (video posted below) had me cracking up. Kate is hilarious. She is one of the few celebrities I follow on IG because she is so funny. I guess despite being extremely fit and looking youthful (supposedly without help) Kates body is telling her she is getting older. I have had my fair share of back injuries and my back going out. I know that sort of pain and couldnt wish it on my worse enemy. I also thought it was insane that she hadnt injured her back while doing some sort of stunt for an action movie which is what I thought had happened. Instead she sustained her injury by putting on a pair of leggings, quel shame. The fact that they had to roll Kate into a blanket and carry her out like sausage tells me it was a pretty bad strain.
I am glad my girl crush Kate is healthy and has mended over the last month. She looked great on the show and she has been up to her normal shenanigans on her Instagram, showing that her back is no longer injured. Hopefully, Kate has received some treatments and instructions to help her maintain great back health. On a side note, I am looking forward to seeing Dave Grohl do a drum battle with Kates really cute cat. That would definitely be entertaining.

Kate Beckinsale is 47 years old and she has the line-free, youthful visage of a woman half her age. It?s insane. Some women win the genetic lottery and some women spend a lot of time and money taking care of their skin and their bodies properly. I believe Kate is all of the above good genes, and she takes care of herself, she hydrates and moisturizes and uses expensive face creams and stays out of the sun. I also think she?s gotten some good-quality help from a surgeon or dermatologist along the way. There?s no shame in it! Whatever she?s done, it?s been pretty subtle. But Kate wants us to know that she hasn?t had any surgical work done. And she claims she?s never had Botox, and she doesn?t get facials. WTF?
Kate Beckinsale has had it with plastic surgery speculation. The actress, 47, set the record straight on Sunday, sharing that she gets ?pissed off? when people assume she?s gone under the knife.
?I haven?t had any [work done],? she told The Sunday Times. ?I?m not against people having it. [But] I do get pissed off. It?s sort of a given that I?ve had it, which I just literally haven?t.?
The ?Underworld? actress inherited her filler-free philosophy from her mom, who is so ?suspicious? of cosmetic treatments she ?wouldn?t even get a facial.?
?I?m frightened of paralyzing my face. My mum?s voice is in my head, very loud, at all times,? the actress explained, adding that she?s never been tempted to try injections, either. ?I know if I did do Botox, I?d be the one that would get the droopy eye and my mum would go, ?I f?king told you! See? You should never do that.??
It seems good genes are partially to thank for Beckinsale?s ageless beauty, as she gushed about her mother, Judy Leo, saying the 76-year-old still ?looks f?king radiant and amazing.?
Although the star has stayed above pressure to get plastic surgery, she admitted that aging in the public eye comes with its challenges. ?I think, when you start out, people perceive you as attractive it?s helpful at first. If people start thinking that?s your main thing, I don?t think that?s helpful to anyone, least of all you,? she told the outlet, adding that all women ? not just Hollywood superstars ? are subject to constantly shifting beauty standards.
?I think women are damned anyway,? she added. ?You?re seen as too young, you?re too old. Where is the f?king sweet spot for women? At some point you just have to go, b?tch ? this is me.??

Do you believe her? Eh. I do not. Again, whatever she?s done, she hasn?t overdone it all. But you can tell that it?s not all natural. Her forehead, her eyes, a little pull at the jaw. She looks great, no doubt. But it?s not just ?washing her face with soap and water? or whatever. It?s her business, completely. But I find strange that we?re supposed to believe a 47-year-old is *supposed* to look 25 years old, and then the same 47-year-old tells us that she looks like a 25-year-old naturally. GMAFB.

Kate Beckinsale has had a thing for much-younger guys for a while now, and I still don?t really get it. I mean, she?s 47 years old, beautiful and rich, so she could date nearly any guy she wanted. If she wants to date younger guys, so be it. But the guys she actually dates are just such weird choices, and they tend to look even younger than they are. In April, we learned that she was dating a 22-year-old named Goody Grace. Goody looked, to me, like he was about 16. Kate quarantined with him in LA and even called him ?the perfect quarantine boyfriend.? Gross. Well, now they?re done.
Kate Beckinsale has reportedly split from boyfriend Goody Grace after nine months of dating. The actress, 47, has allegedly unfollowed the singer, 23, on Instagram and deleted any trace of him from her social media, after he moved into her home during lockdown.
Kate and Goody first sparked dating rumours in April when they were publicly seen together for the first time, and their split comes just three months after publicly declared their love for one another.
According to The Sun, Goody has allegedly returned to his native Canada after splitting from Kate, but he is still following her on social media.
While Kate has deleted any trace of her ex, including a birthday post she shared back in June, Goodys account still features his gushing birthday post for the Underworld actress, which he posted in July.

They first started stepping out together for pap strolls in April, and this just continues Beckinsale?s trend of ?cougaring? with very young guys who look like emotionally disturbed teenagers. It?s her type. I don?t really get it AT ALL but Beckinsale wants us all to know that Goody Grace is still her boyfriend, they?re still quarantined together and he?s the perfect quarantine boyfriend:

Beckinsale has even publicly defended her and Graces 22-year age difference. Late last month, the actress clapped back at an Instagram troll who criticized the couple on an Instagram video she posted of her cat attempting to learn several tricks. ?Try and see if your new tom boy will adhere, one followers wrote in a since-deleted comment, according to InStyle The Underworld star reportedly fired back, ?Try and see if you can spell and not just goon yourself straight out the gate.? The response has since been deleted.

Kate Beckinsale has been single-ish for about a year. It was one year ago when Kate was winding things down with Pete Davidson. Pete would go on to date Kaia Gerber, while Kate went on to date? who even knows. I think she had a fling with Machine Gun Kelly, honestly. Kate has been going through a ?dating much younger men? phase for several years, and I?ve taken issue with her taste level! Kate Beckinsale was a presenter last night, and she was over the top as is typical for her. Hecate just covered Kates fashion at a Golden Globes after party, and I came away from her post with more of an appreciation for Kate. She wants to bring it every time and she tries, but it ends up being predictable. Imagine if she went for a classic and understated look instead. That would be unexpected, but this is not. Kate was in a peach Julien MacDonald with sequin beading and a giant goofy poof on one shoulder. When she came out on stage she had to push the long side train out of the way. There was something dramatic about that, but this was just the Critics Choice Awards. The venue didnt seem suited to this. If this didnt have that giant vomiting orchid on the shoulder it would be lovely.
Whenever I use Billy Porter as the headliner the posts get less comments, maybe because he always brings such looks to the red carpet that people expect it from him. So I used Kate Beckinsale instead, since more people know her and will want to comment on her. Billy is the real star here, as hes the one who takes actual fashion risks. In this case he veered from just a gown or suit and wore little temporary butterfly tattoos as his main accessory. Billy was in a Hogan McLaughlin gown in two shades of green with a contemporary angular bodice. Im not sure about his silver jewelry, he could have toned that down a little, but at least hes not completely matchy with his body art. It would have been weird if he wore butterfly jewelry too. I think the jewelry and gown are meant to contrast with the butterflies.

I understand the irony for me, of all people, asking if someone is overdressed considering I wore a floor length gown just to watch the Golden Globes. At least I accessorized with a jean jacket and fuzzy slippers to dress it down (or the real reason, because I was cold). Kate Beckinsale, on the other hand, went full glam for InStyles Golden Globe after party. Kate wore a white crepe Romona Keveza gown. I love everything about this look the color, the dramatic trumpet sleeves, the sparkly belt, the big hair. And Kate worked it, too. Yes, its pretty fancy for a person who only attended the after parties and not the ceremony but she looks so good, Im willing to overlook that.
Im truly conflicted about Ariel Winters fluorescent green dress. On the hanger, I would have hated it: I dislike the color, I dislike the open arm and the leg slit on the same side and leaving the knitted fabric unlined makes it look cheap. All in all, it looks like a dress designed for a Barbie doll. And yet, Ariels pulling the look off. Her subtler styling helps tone it down and it sort of works. I do not like her clear plastic pumps, though. But I guess they do finish off the Barbie vibe of the outfit.

People really had strong feelings about Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson when they first started happening earlier this year. For the most part, those strong feelings were ?ew? and ?NO? and ?why girl why.? But there was genuine interest and Kate and Pete definitely ?performed? their relationship for us. But they haven?t been seen together recently, which caused People Magazine to announce a few days ago that Kate and Pete were ?slowing things down a bit.? Well, as it turns out, they slowed things down to the point where they just broke up completely.
Was it because he bought a house with his mom? ?Saturday Night Live? star and comic Pete Davidson, 25, and actress Kate Beckinsale, 45, have split.
The improbable showbiz couple that was Deckinsale has sadly cooled things off after just a few months of dating, sources confirmed to Page Six. One insider said that while the age difference wasn?t a problem for the pair, Davidson?s public lifestyle was.
?Even though Kate has been in Hollywood for a long time, she struggled with the attention on her relationship with Pete. He lives his life with his heart on his sleeve.?
Despite a very public makeout session with Davidson at a hockey game, Beckinsale ? who got together with him at the Golden Globes in January ? told the LA Times, ?I?m surprised by the interest. I?ve never been in this position before ? never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief.?

The dealbreaker wasn?t their age difference or the difference in their life experiences, or that she?s a beautiful movie star and he?s a young comedian famous for getting engaged to Ariana Grande. No, none of that. It was because Kate couldn?t handle HIS fame? What in the world is that? It?s far more likely to me that Kate just cooled things off because she was over it in general. She had her fun. She was the ?cool cougar? with the young, funny boyfriend and now she?s done with that. At some point she looked at herself and thought why am I doing this again?
