| Katherine Heigl Plugs 'state of Affairs' at NBC Universal Summer TCA Event | Added 10 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

|
Getting back into the swing of things, Katherine Heigl smiled for the shutterbugs at the NBA Universal Summer TCA Tour 2014 Day 1 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (July 13).
The ?Grey?s Anatomy? gal was in the house to promote her comeback series ?State of Affairs,? and she told press that she knew the gig was a perfect vehicle to bring her back into the mainstream.
Heigl noted, ?Something about her feels like an adult to me in ways that other roles haven't. I don't know if it's because I feel like an adult. I feel like I'm finally like a legitimate grown-up with two children and a husband of almost seven years. I feel like a grown-up who has taken on a grown-up role.?
As for her mindset now that she?s a bit older than when she started in the business, Katherine shared, ?I feel more of a sense of peace. I definitely get...I'm a neurotic actor, I'm not gonna lie. I'm absolutely a neurotic actor and we all kind of are, but I'm less atwitter and I'm less defensive and I'm less afraid of what everybody thinks of me. I get my feelings hurt, and I certainly get frustrated because I want to prove I'm something, or prove to people that I'm more than they think, but I don't get quite as aflutter about it as I did in my youth. And I have a deeper understanding of what really matters, and who really matters. Whose opinion really matters. And I'll just look at my husband sometimes and I'll go, 'You know what, I'm doing alright. Because if I were this big of an a--hole, he would not still be here.' He is way too cool to put up with that!?
And Mrs. Heigl hasn?t ruled out a return to ?Grey?s? if the situation presented itself- ?That's not up to me. That's not my decision. But I think the show is fantastic. I have so many wonderful memories. I had so many wonderful experiences. I have some really phenomenal friends and people like T.R. Knight who is like a brother to me, that I can't even imagine my life without. And I can't believe it's been this long. That we've been friends this long. I was 25 when we started. He was 30. Like, what happened? It feels like it was only a couple years ago, It's so weird.?

| Keira Knightley: Friendships 'don't have to be sexual to be intense love affairs' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Keira Knightley has a really lovely interview in the new issue of The Advocate. They ask her about a lot of her gay-friendly film and stage roles, and I guess I never realized how many of her films involved explicit or implicit female-on-female love. She gave the interview to promote Begin Again, the movie where she plays a rock star?s ex who begins her music career with a little help from Mark Ruffalo. You can read the full piece here and here are some highlights:
Working with Adam Levine: ?Yeah, he?s a pretty sexy dude. He?s got a good body on him. He?s also very funny, which is always the most attractive thing about anybody. He had so much energy that he was literally bouncing off the walls, so it was great fun to work with him. He had never acted before, so he was constantly going, ?Oh, I don?t know how to do this.? He was a complete natural, of course, which is a bit annoying, really. But yeah, he certainly hasn?t been left short in the looks department.?
Being drawn to projects about complicated female friendships: ?Well, female friendships are f–king extraordinary. They don?t have to be sexual to be intense love affairs. A breakup with a female friend can be more traumatic than a breakup with a lover. I?ve always been attracted to stories that look at the love-hate complexity of close female friendships. It?s ripe for drama. Did you see Frances Ha? That portrayed a female friendship I really understood.?
On her girl crush: ?I just watched The Punk Singer, the documentary about Kathleen Hanna from Bikini Kill, so I actually have to go with her. She might be my top girl crush of all time, really. I love a riot grrrl.?
On The Imitation Game & Alan Turing: ?I first read about him several years ago and I was appalled. It didn?t happen in my lifetime, but I felt quite ashamed. It?s an important story to tell. We have to look at what happened to this brilliant man because of his sexual orientation. He was destroyed, and we can?t allow that to happen again. We can?t let homophobia or bigotry take over and tear people apart. What was done to this great intellect in a court of law is an absolute travesty. As much progress as we?ve made, we must continue to fight to make people understand and value each other.?
Whether Georgiana Cavendish (Keira played her in The Duchess) was bisexual: ?I think she was in love with that particular woman, and I think she could?ve had great sexual pleasure with a woman, as many women can. Sexuality is a funny thing, and sometimes labels don?t quite cover it.?
[From The Advocate]
I love what she says about female friendships and about bisexuality and labels. In the interview, she also talks about how liberal and LGBT-friendly her parents were and growing up, she never saw the LGBT community as anything other than completely acceptable. You can tell she?s very passionate about gay rights.

For anybody wondering why I keep calling Kelly Brook‘s fiance such a bad influence, it’s not just because I’m jealous (although I am). It’s because of pictures like this. I mean, I don’t remember Kelly’s booty looking anywhere near this chunky when she was single, and it’s disappointing, considering she’s always been one of my […]

| Katherine Heigl: 'I certainly don't see myself as being difficult' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Here are some photos of Katherine Heigl at this weekend?s NBC Universal press tour/Upfronts in LA. She looks nice, doesn?t she? When she isn?t dressed like her mom, she looks very nice, although I will say this? this is how every mom wants her daughter to dress. Right? Anyway, by now everybody knows that Katherine has a fatal case of foot-in-mouth disease. She has alienated so many screenwriters, TV writers, producers, directors and fellow actors, it?s no wonder that her career has been in the toilet for the past three or four years. But Heigl is attempting a comeback of sorts ? she?s giving up on her movie star dreams and returning to TV with a new hour-long NBC drama which just sounds like a take-off on Homeland and Scandal.
Heigl recently gave a magazine interview which was sort of like the beginning of the new, softer Dame Heigl. She used the passive voice to describe her stunted career, like bad choices just ?happened? and she wasn?t making those decisions (or alienating those people). So, as far as I?m concerned, asking her about all of her career history is fair game. Still, she seemed surprised when a journalist brought it up during the press tour.
It was the question everybody wanted to ask?and it got so awkward when someone finally did. NBC?s State of Affairs panel during the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills got a bit tense when the topic turned to Katherine Heigl, her mother Nancy (an executive producer on the upcoming series), and rumors about the pair?s reputation on set. It started when a TCA reporter reminded Heigl about some of the controversial remarks she had to say about Hollywood, particularly focused on her conduct on set, whether her career was out of her control, and whether she felt there is ?a portion of this controversy that is about Hollywood not knowing what to do with a woman who speaks her mind.? The reporter also asked whether Heigl felt her career was now back under her grip.
After a visibly speechless Heigl let out an elongated ?Umm?,? producer Ed Bernero tried to answer the question for Heigl, but the reporter pressed on: ?Seriously, I want to hear from Katherine.?
?I don?t know that I said I felt my career was not under my control,? Heigl said. ?I think I said I felt I had stopped challenging myself and I was making choices that I loved, that I was excited about. I loved doing romantic comedies, I loved doing them and I loved watching them, but I stopped ? exercising different muscles of my ability. And in that moment, I felt that I was sort of letting down my audience, that I wasn?t challenging them either.?
Heigl continued: ?I think that this opportunity is ? and I think a lot of people want to know why this show, why come back to television ? it?s because it?s an extraordinary role, it?s an extraordinary opportunity, and an extraordinary story, and it?s an opportunity for me to flex some different muscles and show a different side of myself as an actor and a performer and a storyteller that I hope my audience will be excited about and love.?
Heigl then addressed the reporter?s second concern, fielding rumors that she and her mother might be difficult to work with. ?I can?t really speak to that. I can only say that I certainly don?t see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult. I don?t think my mother sees herself as being difficult. We always ? I think it?s important to everybody to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and kindly. If I?ve ever disappointed somebody, it was never intentional.?
Prior to Heigl?s question, one critic called Nancy Heigl?s executive producer credit ?stage mothering to the extreme? when asking NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt and president Jennifer Salke about the move. Salke responded: ?I?ll tell you very honestly ? we had an amazing meeting with them. They?re both very smart, formidable women, and I?m not just giving lip service to this?they?ve been fantastic producers and incredibly smart through this process. She?s someone who has a strong opinion, but we?ve found her to be nothing but adamant to the process, and also Katie really relies on her in her life. It?s a real partnership that seems to work for both of them and it?s been great for us. But it?s not surprising when the mother walks in the door with her, we knew they were a set and worked together in the past. I would call her her ?mom-ager,? her best friend ? she?s a partner in her life. They have a very natural shorthand. So far, so good.?
[From Entertainment Weekly]
First, that?s quite a euphemism: ??I felt that I was sort of letting down my audience, that I wasn?t challenging them either.? That?s like saying ?low-information voters.? It?s a euphemism for stupid people. Heigl?s words are a euphemism from ?I was making stupid movies for stupid women.?
As for the stuff about her being difficult? I give her credit for answering the question. But I do think her answer lacks a sort of public acknowledgement of self-awareness on Heigl?s part. It?s not that I believe she lacks awareness about her own behavior and her mom?s behavior ? I think she?s just trying to gloss over everything to promote her show. She doesn?t want to spend this press tour saying, ?I made horrible mistakes in my career and I only came back to television because no one wanted me in their movies anymore.? But yes, she comes across as a woman who is so ignorant of her OWN history that she?s doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

| Lindsay Lohan: Being a celebrity is 'something I never wanted' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Here are some pics of Lindsay Lohan at the Goerge Bar in Mayfair over the weekend. It?s weird to me that she seems to have young female friends in England. I barely gave it a second thought that she?s at a bar though. She never stopped partying and I would imagine she?s got dealers and enablers all over London. There is definitely an element to this that is definitely ?crackhead is crackie, has crack delusions, news at 6.? But what I find interesting is that Lindsay Lohan really has found some kind of weird legitimacy in London. While I know England breeds the same kind of lower-tier celebrity culture (like America), I?m amazed that someone at the BBC thought it was appropriate to sit down with Lindsay Lohan and ask for her thoughts on life, her career and celebrity culture.
Lindsay Lohan wants a do-over?and she wants to do it in London. Speaking to the BBC before she makes her West End debut in David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow later this year, the movie star opens up about her troubled time in Hollywood and the next chapter in her career.
Performing in front of a live audience will be a new challenge for Lohan. “I think you go through phases in life and you hit this wall where you kind of want to do something new and experience something different,” the 28-year-old actress says, “and I think I just am in a place now where it’s the right time.”
Unlike her days on the set of Georgia Rule, Lohan is determined to behave professionally. Asked if she’ll miss any shows this fall, the actress says, “That’s not going to happen. That’s not in the cards. It’s not.”
Lohan knows she faces an uphill battle. “People have certain perceptions of me. For a long time, people looked at me as kind of a celebrity, which is something I never wanted…That’s not what I got into this industry for. I’ve been doing this since I was 3 years old and I’ve been on set since I was 6. People kind of forgot that, and I think now is a good time,” she says of her comeback. “And what better than to do it with the great people that I’m working with on stage in London…so that people can focus on the fact that I’m in this industry because I’m an actress and an artist and not just someone you take photos of?”
Lohan’s name became synonymous with partying, and her frequent legal troubles didn’t help matters.
“I don’t understand the crazy fascination with me because it kind of scares me. Even when I’m not doing anything, they create something that I’m doing. But I’m so numb to it at this point that it doesn’t affect me personally,” she says, “whereas in the past I think it did a little bit and I was out in L.A. on my own.”
In hindsight, would she do anything differently? “There are certain things that I would change?I’ve put myself in bad situations?but I don’t regret anything that’s happened because I wouldn’t be who I am today, I wouldn’t have learned the things that I know, I wouldn’t be here doing this right now,” she says. Today, Lohan keeps a “very small group of people” around her and says she’s “really big on feeling safe.”
Still, the Liz & Dick star is wary of the world. “I think my friends think I’m neurotic sometimes and I’m a little crazy, but I will hear a flash of an iPhone camera,” she says. “I’ll hear the shutter from a mile across the room or I’ll feel it. I’m so used to thinking like that and feeling almost paranoid sometimes.”
Though she eventually moved back to New York (as seen in her eight-episode OWN docu-series), Lohan is now considering become an ex-patriot. “I think I am making the move to come over here…I’ve noticed when I’m watching the news here and such, you guys have such a different outlook. In the U.S., starting at 5 p.m., it’s TMZ and all of these shows that are just talking about people’s personal lives that are in the industry. Here, I don’t notice any of that. It’s more news and politics and music,” she tells the BBC. “It feels really good to be able to turn on the TV and not see everything be about gossip.”
[From E! News]
She also gave her same-old talking point when she was asked about when she went off the rails, saying, ?I never experienced going to college?I never went to university. I was living that out in the public eye.” She?s 28 years old. By now she?s done her BA in Coke Snorting, an MFA in Boozehounding and a PHD in Crack Delusions & Shenanigans.
As for the rest of the interview? how many times are we going to do this? ?Of course I?ve learned my lesson, I fell in with a bad crowd, I was never as bad as they said, gossip is so toxic, my mom keeps me straight, I?m better now, I?m clean now, I?ll never mess up again, when I messed up it wasn?t my fault, I?m a private person, I?m sober now, I hate being photographed??
PS? Yes, she looks pregnant in these pics. Ugh.

| Cheryl Cole eloped with a French dude she met in May of this year: terrible idea? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Most of you probably won?t care, but my God? Cheryl Cole just makes terrible life decisions. Cheryl ? a British pop star and on-again judge on The X-Factor (UK) ? has the worst taste in men. She kept going back to Ashley Cole, even though he was flagrantly cheating on her. They finally ended it for good at some point. Then Cheryl tried to date a few gay guys I think, and now she?s up and married a man she literally met for the first time in MAY. It wasn?t even a three-month courtship before they ran off and eloped in Mustique. We don?t have any photos of the new husband, but you can see some here (he looks like a French version of Matthew Goode).
Cheryl Cole has married her French boyfriend in secret after a three-month romance. The X Factor judge posted her news online to ?stop the speculation? over the relationship. The message was posted with a picture of a large platinum princess-cut diamond engagement ring and a diamond encrusted wedding band.
The singer and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, 33, reportedly tied the knot on a beach in Mustique in front of just four witnesses. The X Factor judge?s mother Joan and PA Lily England were two of the guests as she wed on the white sands of Macaroni Beach.
Cheryl, 31, said: ?I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news. Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.?
Cheryl and Jean-Bernard met at the Cannes Film Festival in May and close friends said she is smitten with the luxury restaurant entrepreneur. Despite being together for just three months, she had no hesitation about marrying him, according to The Sun. The pair reportedly moved into her Hertfordshire home together last month. Jean-Bernard has met Miss Cole?s friends and family, and was even in Edinburgh last week to support her as she filmed the final auditions for this year?s X Factor.
A source told The Sun: ?Only a handful of people knew. She?s never been so happy.?
The source added added: ?Cheryl?s madly in love and had no fear about taking the plunge. She?s delighted he?s her new husband and wants to have his babies. It?s a beautiful thing. She?s on cloud nine right now.?
According to previous reports, Jean-Bernard built up a playboy reputation in his twenties while living in New York. In a profile on ?Eurotrash? jetsetters by the New York Times, Mr Fernandez-Versini was described as a university student ?who summers on the Riviera, spends winter vacations in St. Barts? and took a year off just to party.
?However, since 2008, Jean-Bernard has used his connections to grow his pop-up restaurant business.?
[From The Daily Mail]
A playboy/entrepreneur who ?used his connections to grow his pop-up restaurant business???? For the love of God, Cheryl. Why?! Oh well? at least she?s happy? She?ll be happy for a few months and she?ll figure out that this guy is a cheater, a leech, a famewhore or all of the above and then Cheryl will be on the all of the UK tabloid covers with stories like ?Cheryl doesn?t believe in love anymore? and ?Cheryl?s Love Rat wants her fortune.?
Would you like to see the ring? It is a decent ring.

| Stacy Keibler: 'Pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat donuts' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Stacy Keibler obviously knows everything about everything, especially when it comes to pregnancy. Stacy is far along in her first pregnancy (with husband Jared Pobre) and she?s been giving interviews that are on the friendly side of preachy and judgy. She?s been doing a healthy, organic diet throughout her pregnancy which means she has the right to food-shame other women about what they eat during their pregnancies. Ah, the judgy motherhood branding. Stacy is going to have a legit second career just by judging other women.
Skinny mini! During her first-ever pregnancy, Stacy Keibler hasn’t had any naughty cravings, she tells Us Weekly — and she urges other moms-to-be to avoid over-indulging while they’re expecting, too.
“I really truly believe that pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat donuts,” the Supermarket Superstar host, 34, told Us exclusively at an event for Baby Jogger Vue strollers at baby boutique Bel Bambini in West Hollywood July 10. “I haven’t had any cravings believe it or not!” George Clooney’s ex added.
In fact, Keibler is eating healthier than ever. “[Pregnancy] is a time to be as healthy as you can be and build the foundation for your baby. I think that you should be even more conscious of what you’re doing.”
Although the mom-to-be, who wed her baby daddy Jared Pobre last fall, admits she “might have a pizza party once in a while,” she otherwise maintains a strict organic diet.
“Everything I eat or put on my skin is organic. I only use organic products. Everything I put on my skin, basically I can eat,” the model tells Us.
Keibler, who is due next month, went on to gush that she’s had “the best year of my life,” adding, “I’m so grateful for my life, my husband, the new baby on the way. Life is all about timing and everything happens for a reason. I literally wake up every day and say how grateful I am.”
The blonde revealed she and Pobre “can’t wait” to be parents and “everything’s ready — the nursery is ready to go! ? We’ve read a million books, [and] we did a full house detox [of anything unsafe.]”
The prepared parents-to-be have even already decided on a name for their baby girl. “It’s a secret for now,” Keibler says, “We just cannot wait to meet her. I feel like we have such a connection already. I feel like we intuitively talk to each other, and so I just can’t wait to actually meet her.”
[From Us Weekly]
I can?t believe that women judge other women about their pregnancy cravings. Granted, I?ve never been pregnant, but I have had extreme PMS moments when I would have killed someone for some chocolate. My belief is that it?s great when women try to stay healthy during their pregnancies, but if you want a donut (pregnant or not), eat a donut and don?t let judgy bitches shade you for it. You?re growing another human. That deserves the occasional donut. Live and let live.
Also: ?I literally wake up every day and say how grateful I am.? I hope she literally does that. I hope she literally wakes up and literally turns to her husband and literally says ?I am literally so grateful that you are literally not George Clooney.?

| Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch 'in talks' to star in 'True Detective' Season 2' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I was a little bit late getting to the True Detective party. I only recently binge-watched the series, so I guess I missed out on a lot of the episode-by-episode drama and conspiracy theories. I enjoyed Season 1 a lot (I love crime stories and police procedurals), but I can see where people would be disappointed by the lack of some overarching conspiracy and takedown of more people connected to the murders. That being said, it was a well-written series with spectacular acting. Both Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey gave great performances and it doesn?t surprise me at all that MM is a shoo-in for all of the big TV awards. It also doesn?t surprise me that writer/creator Nic Pizzolatto has been criticized for creating a world dominated by white men (and white male privilege).
There were hopes that Season 2 ? which will feature a new season-long investigation and a new cast ? would include better parts for women and perhaps a world that wasn?t so dominated by white male saviors. Those hopes are adorable. Pizzolatto has made it clear that while there will be one significant female character in Season 2, it?s probably going to be another sausage-fest. And there are some big casting rumors too.
Colin Farrell is in talks to star in the second season of HBO’s ?True Detective,? an individual familiar with the series told TheWrap, while Taylor Kitsch is also the leading candidate for the younger male lead. An HBO spokesperson told TheWrap ?there is no news to confirm on the casting.?
Insiders tell TheWrap that HBO was intent on landing a true movie star, someone who could play rugged and gritty, and they’ve done just that with Farrell, who is nearing a deal for the series? older male lead. While Farrell’s last movie, ?Winter’s Tale,? bombed in theaters, its failure can’t really be attributed to Farrell, who won a Golden Globe for ?In Bruges? and is coming off an acclaimed supporting performance in ?Saving Mr. Banks.?
Kitsch is coming off strong notices for his performance as a young gay man in HBO’s ?The Normal Heart.? While his two movie star vehicles, ?Battleship? and ?John Carter,? did not live up to the expectations created by their hefty budgets, Kitsch displayed solid chops on NBC’s ?Friday Night Lights? and in Peter Berg’s ?Lone Survivor.? Berg, of course, just worked with HBO on ?The Leftovers.? Garrett Hedlund has also been rumored to be in contention for ?True Detective? but Kitsch is strongly believed to have an edge on the coveted role.
?True Detective? earned multiple Emmy nominations on Thursday, including nods for Best Drama Series and lead actors Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, neither of whom will return for the second season, which will be set in California.
HBO had a high bar to clear for the second season, initially pursuing both Christian Bale and Jessica Chastain. Those actors passed on the project due to scheduling issues, as ?True Detective? will require a significant time commitment, according to sources.
While creator Nic Pizzolatto indicated Thursday that there are four leads, those familiar with the second season’s scripts have told TheWrap that there are three leads (two men and one woman), with Farrell’s character serving as the primary focus.
[From The Wrap]
I think Chastain was always going to be a pipe dream, even if the part was really good ? she simply has too many projects in pre-production. She works pretty much back-to-back and there?s no way she could find six months to do a TV show. As for Taylor Kitsch and Colin Farrell? I don?t hate it but we?ll see what happens. This could be just the boost that both of their careers need. I liked Kitsch in The Normal Heart but if you?re looking for scene-stealers in that film, look no further than Matt Bomer and Jim Parsons. Kitsch is always looking for a project where he can be the ?breakout? and it still hasn?t happened, that?s what I?m saying. Maybe True Detective will be it. As for Colin ? he?s a more than capable actor, he can do an American accent and turning to TV might be great for his career.
I am curious about the female secondary lead? I?ve heard some dream-casting rumors about Ellen Page? That would be interesting.

| Christina Aguilera shows off her third-trimester bump with fiancé Matt Rutler | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I keep forgetting that Christina Aguilera is pregnant. I think that?s by design on her part. While she confirmed her pregnancy back in February (when she was presumably about three months along), Christina has barely made any public appearances since then. Very few red carpets, only the occasional paparazzi shot of her. She hasn?t gone completely underground like Eva Mendes, but Christina definitely seems like she doesn?t want this pregnancy to get too much attention.
Anyway, Christina, her fianc Matt Rutler and her son Max Bratman were spotted out in Studio City this weekend. Rutler seems a bit cleaned up ? he?s usually kind of scruffy, but he looks nice here. Christina looks content too ? she?s so big! I think her bump is doing that optical illusion thing which happens to many short girls ? the shorter the girl, the bigger the bump looks. That being said, Christina looks like she?s pretty close to her due date. She?s due in? maybe the next month? Max is six and a half years old now. He seems excited about Christina?s pregnancy ? the photos of Max touching her bump are really sweet. The baby must be kicking.
What?s going on with Christina and The Voice? My mom watches The Voice and she hated Christina on the show and she?s so happy that Gwen Stefani is going to be on now. I guess producers asked Christina to sit out another year? But will Christina even return next year?

Another former Jersey Shore cast member is a parent. Are you surprised? Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi already has one child, a boy named Lorenzo, and she’s very pregnant with her second child, a girl. Pauly D has a love child floating around out there, and now Jenni “J-Woww” Farley has given birth to a baby girl. Jenni didn’t adore being pregnant at all. She “f—ing hated” the experience. It really feels like she’s been pregnant forever, right? She did go past her due date, but the discomfort of carrying around a mini-J-Woww has ended. Jenni was induced yesterday, and now she and grumpy Roger Mathews are parents. They named their daughter Meilani Alexandra Mathews:
Her precious angel has arrived! Jenni “JWoww” Farley gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Meilani Alexandra Mathews, on Sunday, July 13, Us Weekly can confirm.
“Jenni and Roger are so excited to welcome the newest guidette Meilani Alexandra Mathews to the world weighing 7lbs and 13 ounces,” JWoww’s rep tells Us Weekly. “Meilani and her parents are doing great and are happy and healthy. Meilani is already looking to trade her baby bottle for barbells.”
Farley got her start on MTV’s Jersey Shore before starring on the spin-off series with pal Snooki.
“We?re fist pumping in celebration of Jenni ‘JWOWW’ Farley and Roger Mathews? new baby girl Meilani Alexandra Mathews,” a rep for MTV told Us in a statement. “We?re so excited for the new parents and to welcome the newest member to the MTV family.”
Farley also enjoyed spending time with pregnant BFF Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi during her pregnancy. “Jenni and I always talked about being pregnant together,” Snooki, who is expecting her second child, told Us in April. “I’m so excited to go through this experience with my best friend!”
Pregnancy wasn’t exactly a walk in the park for Jwoww, however. The reality star admitted on her blog she had a rough first couple of months. “It was the absolute hardest thing I have ever experienced!” Farley wrote in January. “I lost 9 pounds from my first appointment to [the] second! So needless to say, I was super sick and gross. I looked like hell and felt like I had a constant hangover!”

Alexandra is a beautiful name. Is Meilani a variation on Melanie? I don’t know. It is an unusual name, and I guess we should simply be relieved that J-Woww didn’t name her child “Pink Diamond” or “Rhinestone.” Anyone who posts a photo of their uterus on the internet is capable of coming up with a tacky name. Meilani isn’t that bad. J-Woww will probably tell the world how to pronounce it soon. For now, she’s resting up with the new fam. Congrats to Jenni and Roger!

Here’s Bar Refaeli at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, and no offense or anything, but it’s pictures like this that are the reason she’s only my second favorite Bar in Hollywood. (Well, that and pictures like this.) I mean, I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know the first thing about fashion, but I […]
