A month ago, Melania Trump announced plans to redesign the famous White House Rose Garden, an area of the White House grounds which gets a lot of camera-time. The WH Rose Garden is adjacent to the Oval Office and the sweeping pathway running alongside the West Wind. In the early 1960s, Jackie Kennedy worked with some of the best garden-designers in the country to lay out a beautiful garden full of what I thought were cherry trees (cherry trees are seen throughout DC, many of which were gifts from Japan) but are in fact crab apple trees, I guess. Jackie?s garden also had tulips, rose bushes, irises, violets and more. The Jackie Kennedy-designed garden was a riot of color in the spring and summer, and the trees provided shade and relative privacy along that covered West Wing walkway.
I said at the time that it sounded like the garden had to be dug up anyway, because there was a need to make technical improvements. As in, the electric cables had to be updated underground, and a better drainage system had to be added. So I understand why *technically* they would have needed to dig up part of the garden. But Melania decided to put her gothic-horror stamp on it. I guess we should be glad that she didn?t want Blood Trees of Doom. That being said, ripping out the cherry trees SUCKS. And it also sucks that Melania?s garden aesthetic matches her husband?s racism only white flowers allowed in the Rose Garden now.

Amanda Seyfried lives on a farm in upstate New York with her husband of three years, Thomas Sadoski, and their three-year-old daughter, whose name they have not revealed. (You can google it, but I think it was only published once by People and deleted, so I?m not going to post it.) Amanda is not talking out of both sides of her mouth when it comes to her daughter. She?ll post a photo of her daughter with her face hidden, but she?s not like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard telling embarrassing stories about her while asking for privacy. She?s not cashing in on her mom image either. I appreciate that about her.
Amanda did an interview with John Molner, Katie Couric?s husband, on his Molner?s Table show. She said that her mom lives with her family and is her nanny. She was so grateful-sounding about that. Plus she very plainly trashed Trump without using his name and I?m always here for that. Here?s some of what she said and you can see the video below:

On her farm and daily routine
I live upstate [in New York] on a farm, it?s what I always wanted. I put roots down in 2014 here and now, with this pandemic, we?ve been able to just stay.
I usually get up around 8:30 to feed the animals. My mom lives with us, she?s our nanny. My life is awesome because she is the third parent for us. I am so lucky, I know I am. So when my daughter gets up she either comes in our room or she goes downstairs. If we?re still sleeping it?s great because she can hang out with my mom, she wakes up early.
Our family is still together [in] the pandemic. I definitely think my marriage is even stronger. This is hard for people.
?We messed this whole thing up [the pandemic]?
We? I?ve decided that I?m no longer a we. This isn?t on me. This is not on you. This is a ?them.? I do think they are allowing people to perish for the sake of the election and that?s a fact.
?Katie [Couric] hosted this reunion of Parent Trap. She had Lindsay Lohan. Has there been a Mean Girls reunion??
No, I don?t know why. There?s no time like the present. That would be really fun to do. Lacey [Chabert] and I keep in touch. Lacey was really my first close friend in Hollywood. And Danny [Franzese] and Jonathan [Bennett]. It would be really nice we could [do that].

Amanda?s comments about her mom remind me of Elizabeth Warren?s speech for the DNC this year. She explained how, as a young mom, she thought she would have to give up her job as a teacher because she couldn?t take care of her babies and work. Her aunt Bee moved in and stayed for 16 years! In another segment at this year?s DNC a Texas firefighter was part of a panel of working people talking to Joe Biden about the American dream. (Thats at 1:10 into Day 4.) He was a single dad and said something similar, that his retired parents were helping him raise his daughter and that he wouldn?t be able to work without their help. That?s how we used to raise kids, with inter-generational help, but things have changed and the childcare crisis has been made so much worse by the pandemic.
Also I completely agree with her about this administration deliberately killing people, but you already knew that.

Tori Spelling was a guest on the Women on Top podcast, which I tried to listen to but found quite annoying. The hosts, Roxy Manning and Tammin Sursok, kissed Tori?s ass when they introduced her and talked about what a great mom and person she is. There are certain things I will not do for this job, so I?m relying on People?s reporting. Tori said on the podcast that her biggest fear was Dean cheating on her. When he inevitably did, and they conveniently made it into an entire storyline for their reality show, Tori didnt think about her children reading about it someday. She said that her daughter (Im assuming it was Stella, 12) did and that it upset her.
During a recent appearance on the Women on Top podcast Spelling explained that while shes proud she didnt hide her marital issues from the cameras, her young children have been given access to that information due to it being posted online.
My kids have not seen clips, but theyve seen something out there online and my daughter saw something, Spelling said. It really upset her.
Spelling and McDermott share five kids: daughters Stella, 12, Hattie, 8, and sons Liam, 13, Finn, 7, and Beau, 3.
While Spelling said she is so proud that her story lives online and admitted thats not something you think about in that moment, navigating their relationship after the scandal was difficult.
My biggest fear in our relationship was I was like, hes going to cheat on me, hes going to cheat on me, hes going to cheat on me, she said. So when it happened, I was like, See, I always thought from day one he was going to cheat on me, and it wasnt about him, that was about me. I was like, Okay, I know Im not good enough, thats how I felt about myself and one day hes going to realize that and hes gonna find someone else.
Spelling said that before the affair took place, she used to tell her husband: Im so scared you are going to cheat on me.
He [would be] like, Why are you? Ive never given you a reason. Then when it happened, I was like, Oh my God, see, you cheated on me, so it was a hard thing to navigate, said Spelling.
Choosing to forgive, Spelling said she and McDermott have been able to move forward and shes happy she decided to stay in her marriage.
I dont bring it up all the time, and when I do bring it up he listens and he understands, Spelling shared. We did have a rebirth after that happened.
This happened and rocked our foundation and we have no choice ? we either start over or move on. It was madness. Everybody out there was like, F him and I was like, I love this man and I have children with this man and everyone makes mistakes.
Spelling asserted that she didnt stay because she had to, but rather because she wanted to.

The reason all this information about Tori?s husband cheating on her is online is because Tori and Dean were doing a reality show at the time. Bedhead was working with us back when that story broke and I remember her coverage on it. I?m not even sure that story was true, the alleged mistress was named Emily Goodhand and she was from Canada. It all sounded so fake. I?m sure Dean cheated on Tori because he cheated on his then-wife with Tori when he met her (and Tori was cheating on her then-husband with Dean too), but I think they made up fake details to milk it for headlines.
Did Tori?s daughter see anything about all the lawsuits against her after she failed to pay multiple creditors? Did she read about the fact that her parents had their assets seized by the IRS and the court? That?s really what she should be ashamed about. Also, if Tori really cared about her daughters feelings she wouldnt be telling this story to the public. Thats like a double whammy to a teen.

Throughout the month of June, we were all obsessed with Lea Michele getting ?outed? as a massive jackass. It started when Lea tried to post something about Black Lives Matter, and Black actresses who worked with Lea on Glee said that actually, she spent years bullying them and threatening to sh-t in their wigs. It all came tumbling out, how Lea was persona non grata in the Broadway community and beauty industry, and how basically she only works because Ryan Murphy keeps hiring her, and she treats everyone like sh-t. Lea tried to apologize but she made it so much worse because her apology was one of the worst things I?ve ever read.
Anyway, Lea was pregnant when all that happened. She was actually in her last trimester. Which makes me feel a little bit sorry for her, then I remember that she would sh-t in my wig if given the chance. Well, good news. Lea gave birth to a boy. It was apparently an uneventful birth. Get a load of the name though.
Lea Michele is a mom. The former Glee actress, 33, and husband Zandy Reich welcomed a baby boy on Aug. 20, a source tells PEOPLE.
Everyone?s happy and healthy, and theyre extremely grateful, the source says.
Hes been an easy baby so far, the source adds of Michele and Reichs first child.
PEOPLE confirmed the couple named their son Ever Leo.
