Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian at the 2017 LACMA Art + Film Gala over the weekend. Her date for the night was not her husband Kanye West! Kim went with her mother, Kris Jenner, and Kris wore something resembling pajamas. Kim wore vintage Tom Ford, and I actually sort of like the idea of this. Like, I?m all for more menswear-style stuff on women, and god knows I love a woman in a tuxedo. On Kim though? I don?t know, it?s a bit too slouchy. And I sort of wish she had done one button on the jacket?? Also: Kim?s blonde looks SO scraggly. People who regularly bleach their hair, tell me: is Kim taking proper care of her blonde? I don?t think she is.
Kim and Kanye are doing better, even though ?Ye hasn?t been walking many red carpets lately. Kim and Kanye did go out together for Kendall Jenner?s 22nd birthday party, and Kanye made some rare appearances in photos with Kim – go here to see.
Meanwhile, remember how Kim dressed up as various musical icons for Halloween? She went at Selena, Cher, Madonna and? Aaliyah. The Aaliyah costume in particular was controversial, although many people noted that it wasn?t nearly as bad as it could have been. Kim basically just wore a costume from Aaliyah?s ?Try Again? music video and did her hair similarly and that was it. No blackface. Well, now Kim is apologizing for it, writing:
?When I was deciding what I wanted to be for Halloween this year, I had a lot of ideas that I narrowed down to musical icons and my second costume was Aaliyah. The look was inspired by what she wore in her ?Try Again? music video. I wore a custom bra top and J Brand leather pants. Ariel Tejada did my makeup and Chris Appleton did my hair.?
?Aaliyah was such an amazing singer and she will forever be a music legend. I saw online that some people thought my costume was in poor taste and I am truly sorry if that offended anyone. When I was creating the costume, I wasn?t dressing up as a race or culture but rather as a woman whom I will always admire. I play every kind of genre of music in my home and I like for my kids to be exposed to many different artists.?
?For me, it?s always about love and respect. I loved that Kourtney was Michael Jackson for one of her costumes, and that my son was Axl Rose. We don?t see color in my home. We were paying homage to people and artists we love and respect? it?s that simple!?

I think Kim is guilty of cultural appropriation a lot of times, but I honestly wasn?t sure if the Aaliyah costume was one of those times. It didn?t offend me on a racial level, but I rolled my eyes at the fact that we had to invoke the name of Aaliyah in the same breath as Kim Kardashian. All that being said, this is sort of a bulls–t apology. ?We don?t see color in my home? is the kind of excuse a lot of racists use for doing and saying racist sh-t. And shouldn’t she say “race” instead of “color”??

I’ve never been a very religious guy, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with whichever one believes in reincarnation. Paris Hilton has been popping up a lot lately. When she’s been dropping her thoughts about fame and politics, she is also sure to mention her boyfriend as many times as the sound bite will allow. Usually, Paris refers to him as ?my boyfriend,? which I hope is because she likes the title and not because she keeps forgetting his name. The boyfriend being mentioned is Chris Zylka and we should learn his name, not just because some of you said he was really quite good on The Leftovers but because Paris seems to think he?s going to be around for the long haul. She?s already told us he?s, ?the one,? but recently she said they can?t wait to get married and start a family. She also revealed that they never, ever fight. Mm-kay, well, if there?s anything that will test her theory, it?s wedding planning, marriage and kids.

Us Weeklycaught up with the lovebirds on Saturday, October 28, at the Fabulous Fund Fair in New York City, where they appeared to be as happy as can be.

If it?s up to them, there will be a lot of kids in their future as well. The entrepreneur dished toUsabout wanting a big family: ?I grew up in a family of four, so I definitely don?t want only one. Two or three, I?d be happy with two but three would be amazing.?
?We?re really close to our families and it?s so important to have a close relationship with your brothers and sisters, so we definitely want our children to have siblings to grow up with,? Zylka added.

Of course, Paris thinks they are the only couple that never fights. She may think they?re the only couple that laughs, smiles at each other or watches TV together because her view can be a bit myopic at times. That said, I believe Paris believes they never fight. First, they?ve been together for less than a year and it?s possible they?re still in the ?everything is magical? stage. Second, by the amount of times Paris said ?I? and ?me? vs. Chris saying ?us? and ?we,? I think the relationship hierarchy is obvious. If Paris calls the shots, maybe she hasn?t approved a fight yet? On the other hand, our proof of their perfect union is Paris reporting her friends? comments about the public face of their relationship. I?m not sure I see this as a credible source.
I?m slightly more interested in her talk about marriage and babies, though. If they can?t wait and it?s going to take a lot of planning, why aren?t they engaged? I assume Chris has been given a list of three acceptable – and very detailed – engagement scenarios. Only he?s having a hard time selecting one because he wants to ask Paris first which he should pick and the instructions clearly say it?s supposed to be a surprise! Oh my gosh you guys ? a Paris Hilton wedding is exactly what I need. Can you imagine the spectacle? There will be 17 sponsored wedding showers. I predict at least two crown changes. She?ll have three full length gowns followed by a going-away outfit resembling a bedazzled doily. They?ll rent out Montana for the venue and theme it ?Ibiza?. Her procession to the altar will be an actual parade through Bozeman. After their week-long celebration, which will involve several ?viewings? of the couple seated on imported thrones, they?ll depart on a 30+ suitcase honeymoon, none of which will be Chris?. And no fights throughout any of it. As a matter of fact, Paris will have a bow-tie muzzle made for Chris to wear to ensure they don?t argue. And her friends will tell us that it was ? literally ? like, the perfect wedding.

At one point I thought that Kristen Bell had reached the limits of her oversharing to the press. That was likely after she revealed that she loved to fight dramatically with her husband Dax Shepard in the first year they were dating. This seemed like TMI to me. I have mixed feelings about Kristen and Dax as they’ve both been admirably vulnerable with the press. They’ve revealed some painful personal information, like the fact that Kristen suffers from anxiety and takes medication for it and that Dax is a recovering addict. On the other hand this seems to be a calculated media strategy in that they often talk about how their marriage takes work and that they’re in therapy. Kristen has even admitted that she believes in showing her bad side as well as her good. She also knows how to get headlines with some revealing quotes, like when she recently shared a personal story about her kids walking in on her and Dax during sexytimes. Kristen and Dax’s have daughters Delta, 3, and Lincoln, 4 and a half. Kristen is promoting A Bad Mom’s Christmas, which premiered this weekend at #2 behind Thor: Ragnarok of course, and is sitting at 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. Kristen was asked on The Talk “what is the most awkward thing your kids walked in on you and your husband doing?” She then launched into this story, and maybe she didn’t have a choice but considering that most of these questions are prearranged I would assume it was her idea or she at least agreed to it beforehand.
Kristen Bell… revealed on The Talk Friday that her children with Shepard, 42, once walked in on her and the actor in a compromising situation.
When asked about her most embarrassing moment involving her family, the actress didn?t hesitate: ?Oh, they?ve walked in on us having sex.?
After the show?s cohosts gasped, Bell quickly said, ?That?s how they were made, it?s OK!?
When Julie Chen asked what she and Shepard did, the actress said, ?Well, we didn?t, like, continue? we sort of just went like, ?Hey, what?s up? What do you need? What do you need??? And then we just said, ?Mommy and daddy are just going to take a nap for a couple of minutes.’?

Do you remember when Kristen and Dax spearheaded the “no kids policy” movement to get paparazzi to stop taking harassing and taking photographs of kids? They feel strongly about protecting their children’s identities, which is understandable. It seems odd for Kristen to tell these type of stories in light of that. Of course it’s her prerogative though. It may sound benign as the girls were little and likely didn’t figure out what was happening. I have a teenager, and he would be embarrassed if he discovered I revealed a story like this about his childhood, even if it was a throwaway little anecdote like this. (Remember how Kelly Ripa’s 15 year-old daughter didn’t even want her to her post a Halloween throwback photo? Teenagers like to control their image.) So maybe Kristen and Dax should dial it back a little when it comes to telling personal stories involving their daughters.
Also Kristen was asked at the Bad Moms premiere how she keeps it “spicy” with Dax and she elaborated on that quite a bit. She said Dax’s humor “keeps it spicy for us a lot” and that she appreciates when he does little things for her. “It sort of comes out of like, he’ll make the coffee or like wear a Christmas sweater to the Bad Moms premiere, which I was like, ‘Are you trying to make me horny? Come on.‘”

I remember, a long time ago, reading a profile of Julianna Margulies, and they made her early days as an actress sound rather glamorous. Like, she was one of the most famous struggling actress-waitresses in New York, and everyone knew that it was just a matter of time before someone hired her for some big project and it would change her life. And boom, and it happened with ER. She was around 27 years old when she was cast in ER, but it?s clear that she was auditioning like crazy for years and truly a struggling actress throughout her 20s. As with so many struggling young actresses during that time, Margulies had some bad experiences with Harvey Weinstein and someone else in those years:
Actress Julianna Margulies said in an interview that producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Steven Seagal both tried to sexually harass her earlier in her career. The star of TV?s The Good Wife claimed that she was led to their rooms by female assistants ostensibly for business reasons. However, ?These women were leading me to the lion?s den.?
Speaking to Sirius XM?s Jenny Hutt on her Just Jenny show, Margulies recounted now-familiar tales of being taken to hotel rooms on the pretext of some official business. In the Seagal case, Margulies was 23 when a female casting director asked her to go to the actor?s hotel room at 10:00 pm to go over a scene. She was told it was between her and another actress for a role that would get her the coveted Screen Actors Guild card.
Margulies said when she arrived at the hotel, the casting director wasn?t there, but Seagal was. When she entered his hotel room, ?I saw his gun, which I had never seen a gun in real life.? Somehow, Margulies said, she got out of the room ?unscathed. I never was raped. And I never was harmed. And I don?t know how I got out of that hotel room?I sorta screamed my way out.?
Shaken by the encounter, a far more wary Margulies recounted a 1996 encounter with Weinstein. She was in her third season of the TV series ER and told that if she met with Weinstein, she would get a screen test. She was also promised that the woman accompanying her would be in the room at the Peninsula hotel with them.
?She knocked on the door, and she was standing behind me,? Margulies recalled. ?And he opened the door in a bathrobe. I could see that there were candles lit in the room, and there was a dinner for two. And I saw him stare at her, daggers.?
Margulies turned to look at her companion. ?And I caught her in a shrug ? like, ?What could I do?? And he looked at me, furious, and he took the door and he said, ?Just wanted to say good audition.? And he slammed the door.? Margulies did not get the part. And although she is now established enough to avoid future such incidents, she asked, ?What?s a sixteen-year-old actress supposed to do?? she asked.

?What?s a sixteen-year-old actress supposed to do?? That?s a question that?s been haunting me this past month. It?s clear that Weinstein ?got away? with a lot of terrible and criminal predatory behavior – we know that from the famous women who have already come forward. Weinstein was an equal opportunity predator, assaulting and harassing famous women and non-famous women. Is it such a stretch to imagine that there are many women who have yet to come forward and tell their stories, because Weinstein (or someone else) abused them when they were just starting out, when they were on their first audition or whatever? As for Steven Seagal? God, every story about him is so gross. And the woman – and all of the men and women – who led actresses to Weinstein?s hotel room need to be thrown out of Hollywood too.

Last Thursday, Johnny Depp came out of hiding for the London premiere of Murder on the Orient Express, which we talked about. I wrote that Depp had perhaps Depp had spent his time away from the spotlight ?drying out? somewhat, because he didn?t look so puffy and boozy in the photos. True, he doesn?t look healthy these days, but much like Brad Pitt?s post-Angelina slim-down, it did seem like Depp isn?t consuming booze at the same rate as before, and it?s notable on his face especially. The problem is that many people thought Depp was acting drunk on the red carpet:
Johnny Depp returned to London for the Murder On The Orient Express premiere on Thursday. And judging by the looks he got from his fellow cast members, the Hollywood star may have enjoyed a few drinks on the way down. Johnny appeared a little bit worse for wear on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall and allegedly reeked of booze while mixing with co-stars including DAME JUDI DENCH, Penelope Cruz and director KENNETH BRANAGH.
Snaps of his personal security man Jerry Judge having to practically hold him up only added to the impression he was having a big night out.
Indeed, Johnny?s partying started the previous evening at London club The Box. A movie source said: ?Johnny was having big old night and was told off for smoking three times while inside. He was annoyed people were staring at him too. But on the night of the premiere, he was in a strange mood and everyone thought he?d been drinking.?
He was lamenting his split from Amber Heard so he?s clearly still not over the issues of the previous couple of years.
?You can see why there are still some serious fears about his wellbeing.?

I believe it, just because I tend to believe any and all negative stories about Johnny Depp these days. But a source told E! News: “These reports are completely false. Johnny was not drunk at the premiere. He came straight from set to the premiere. His security was maneuvering him around the carpet as he has done for years.” Ah, Depp?s security was not propping him up, they were ?maneauvering him around the carpet.? I haven?t heard that one before. Meanwhile, Depp was also a guest on the Graham Norton Show with some of the other cast members and people were NOT happy. I love Graham Norton, but I do think he should stop inviting Depp to the show – Depp?s TV interviews are increasingly horrible and now people are mad at Graham Norton for doing a softball interview with a domestic abuser.

In September 2016, Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas-Baldwin welcomed their third child in four years. Every person has the right to make their own reproductive choices, of course, and Hilaria and Alec are both grown-ass adults, but the time frame in which they had their succession of babies did make me side-eye a bit. Well, keep the side-eyes coming, because Hilaria is knocked up again. Her fourth pregnancy in five years, you guys. Last year, I even wrote: ?When Alec and Hilaria announced this third pregnancy, Alec made some noise about how he?s really hoping this is the last kid. You know what would be great? If he followed through and got a vasectomy for poor Hilaria?s sake, because you know if he doesn?t, she?ll just get knocked up again in a few months.? He didn?t get a vasectomy. She got knocked up again. They also did a ?gender reveal? via cake – they?re having a boy. Alec is 59. Hilaria is 33.
Meanwhile, Alec gave some interviews last week about Harvey Weinstein, Rose McGowan and Alec?s own history with women. Some assorted quotes:
Alec on his own actions: ?I certainly have treated women in a very sexist way. I?ve bullied women. I?ve overlooked women. I?ve underestimated women. From time to time, I?ve done what a lot of men do, which is ? when you don?t treat women the same way you treat men. You don?t. I?m from a generation where you really don?t and I?d like that to change. I really would like that to change?.I think it?s important for us to try to make the workplace and beyond not only comfortable and right and fair and appropriate but as productive, as well. I think a lot of what we?re dealing with within this issue is hurting our business. It?s making it less productive.?
On Weinstein: ?I didn?t know anything. But I know that when you talked about Harvey Weinstein in the business, for example, for decades, you knew that he was highly intrusive in the process of making films. You know, his nickname was Harvey Scissorhands and he was very intrusive in the path of the directors who worked for him. Number two, you knew that he was a very intense guy and very bullying guy, and was shouting and screaming at people and exhorting them when he didn?t get his way. And, last but not least, you heard the rumor that he raped Rose McGowan. You heard that over and over. We have heard that for decades, and nothing was done.?
On Rose McGowan: ?It was for Rose McGowan to prosecute that case. I don?t think you and I are working at a job, and we vet everybody we work for in terms of, not just sexual crimes, racism. Do I sit there and say to myself, I want to have a forensic psychiatrist come and examine the entire board of Warner Bros., and I will never take another paycheck from Warner Bros. until everybody on that board of directors that runs that company have been vetted that they?re not racist, sexist, homophobic, you name it, I need to have a report on that? Where this thing with Harvey Weinstein and Rose McGowan came along was, I had no idea, until now, that she had settled the case.?

So Baldwin ?didn?t know? anything about Harvey Weinstein and yet he heard ?over and over? that Rose McGowan was raped by Weinstein. It?s not that I?m questioning that Baldwin heard about it and did nothing – I believe he heard about it and did nothing – it?s that how can he start by saying he didn?t KNOW? But really, everything he says here is a huge problem. He?s blaming the victim, putting the onus on women and victims to regulate and moderate male predatory behavior. He?s blaming victims for accepting settlements too. A lot of people – including Rose and Asia Argento – criticized him online and Baldwin immediately announced that he would be taking a ?leave? from Twitter, and he halfway apologized to offended people, and he literally blamed the victims again for taking settlements and ?delaying justice.? DOUCHE.

This is one way of cutting down on awards-show fatigue: refusing to televise previously televised awards shows. If an actor gets an award and it?s not on TV, does it still make a sound? I don?t know. The Hollywood Film Awards were held last night, and in previous years, this was (going from memory) a televised event. But not this year. You can see the list of winners here – Kate Winslet took home an award, as did Gary Oldman, the cast of I, Tonya, Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney and more.
Angelina Jolie picked up the award for Best Foreign Film for First They Killed My Father. This was actually the second event Angelina did this weekend for her Oscar campaign – she also did some kind of Directors Guild of America Oscar screening too. Angelina decided to go with a silver-grey Jenny Packham gown, Charlotte Olympia shoes and jewelry from Tiffany?s. I mean? she looks like she?s wearing a robe. It?s a lovely robe! I would love to own this robe. But it?s a robe, not a gown. I suspect she chose it because A) she loves any shade of grey and silver-grey and B) because it seemed comfortable and loose. I keep hoping that Jolie will really wow us with her post-Brad wardrobe, but it?s really not happening.
Margot provides yet another example of why people need to stop wearing Louis Vuitton.

Viola Davis wore Alberta Ferretti, and Mary J. Blige wore Zuhair Murad. I don?t think this is the color for Viola – she looks better in anything lighter, brighter or more saturated.
