Never one to chase the limelight, Emma Watson really shines in her new photo spread for Vogue Italia's December 2015 issue.
Sporting a gorgeous wardrobe, the ?Perks of Being a Wallflower? actress certainly looks to have come into her own as a bona fide poser.
And in her interview, Emma confessed that she?s grateful for her ?Harry Potter? days, even if her coif was a bit regretful- "When I see the images of the first Harry Potter, I immediately think of how ugly my hair was.?

Here is Rita Ora looking every inch the pop princess as she arrived at the Bambi Awards in Berlin.
Rita continued the feminine, princess feel with her hair pulled back from her face in a middle parting and replacing her signature bold lip with a softer, nude colour and pastel eye make-up. She completed the look with a pair of diamond earrings in the shape of tree branches.

| Christina Aguilera Flirts Up a Storm at Verizon's Hopeline Program Event | Added 9 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

Showing her support for the fight against domestic violence, Christina Aguilera hosted Verizon?s HopeLine Program shindig in West Hollywood on Thursday night (November 12).
All decked out in an Alexander McQueen ensemble, the ?Genie in a Bottle? babe posed for photos in the arrivals area before scurrying inside to handle her hosting duties.
When asked for her opinion on Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton?s romance, Christina (a fellow coach on ?The Voice?) gushed, ?Happiness deserves happiness. They?re good people. I just know that divorce is tough and so they deserve some laughs and happiness and if it?s [with] each other, then they deserve each other. I just saw them yesterday, actually, and I got the chance to tell [Gwen] in person? ?You get that cowboy, girl!'?

| Amber Heard feels limited by her looks, wants to play 'substantial' roles | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
I think the only movie I?ve ever seen with Amber Heard is Magic Mike: XXL. Is that enough to judge her acting skills? Probably not, but I still think she?s a charisma vacuum. Maybe she?s different in person, and I think it?s very possible she?s even more beautiful in person. But she has the on-screen presence of a damp dishrag. It?s no surprise to me that her career is sort of in a holding pattern of fifth-credited leads and whatever Johnny Depp can get her. So how is that Amber Heard deserves the December cover of Marie Claire? That?s a great question. She?s the like the fourth credited person in The Danish Girl! That?s why she?s on the cover. It should be noted that Alicia Vikander is the co-lead, along with Eddie Redmayne, and that most critics believe Alicia will be nominated for an Oscar. Still, here?s Amber on the cover of Marie Claire.
On her life: ?I?ve been on the road or on the run since I was 16?. A horse became a bike, a bike became a car, a car became a plane,” Heard explains. And now, when I ask her if she likes flying, she looks puzzled. “It’s like walking, I guess,” she says. “It’s just how I get around.”
On rumors of her separation from Depp: ?I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives, but it is strange, and hard.?
On being a stepmother: ?[It is] an honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life … I feel new flavors that I didn?t know existed. New colors that I didn?t know existed have been added to my life. I?m so happy.?
On being limited by her looks: “I wish I didn’t have to pick between being seen as sexually viable and something more substantial.”
On gay rights: “No matter what people want to label me as, I still fight for equality, and I think popular opinion will catch up. I think it already has, actually. I think our generation sees themselves as part of a larger global community, and therefore, it’s harder to enact basic tribalistic prejudices based on ignorance and hate.”
On her strong work ethic: “You respect what it takes to earn it [money], and it also gives you a certain resilience, because it minimizes this false notion that that’s what matters. I know that to not be true, and I know I’m fine without it. That’s why maybe I’m so independent. I never expect anyone to give me anything?the notion of someone supporting me would be absurd to me.”
[From Marie Claire]
?I wish I didn’t have to pick between being seen as sexually viable and something more substantial?? Don?t get me wrong, I get it. I think that?s a problem so many actresses face. But again, she has the on-screen presence of a dishrag. Producers aren?t breaking down her door with quality scripts for a reason! Why hire Amber Heard when you could hire Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, Alicia Vikander, etc? Also, I love that she?s so insistent that she?s not with Johnny Depp because he?s rich. I sort of believe that. She?s with Scarfy so he?ll help her career.

| Christina Aguilera looked great at a charity event, her old face is back | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Earlier this week, I glanced through some photos of Christina Aguilera at the Breakthrough Science Awards and my only thought was, ?Yep, she?s still a hot mess.? But last night, Christina came out for an event for Verizon?s Hopeline (a domestic violence prevention charity) and I have to say, she looks really good. For Christina, she looks good. Is she still an odd shade of orange? For sure. But she looks happier, healthier and more ?normal? since we last saw her. Back in August, it looked like Christina got a whole new face and I still don?t know what was going on there. But look ? her old face is back! Sort of.
Christina wore an Alexander McQueen dress to this event, but I don?t have an ID on the purple sweater. It?s actually a cute look for her and she?s lost a lot of weight in the past few months. Christina is a lot like Kim Kardashian in that regard ? they?re both short, curvy women and you can really see it when they lose or gain weight. Now, that being said, Star Magazine claims Christina is knocked up again. It wouldn?t surprise me if she had another baby with Matt Rutler, but I don?t know? I?m not getting a ?bump? vibe from these photos.
Christina is due to retake her spot on The Voice coming up in February. Apparently, Gwen Stefani will be done with The Voice after this season? Which makes all of the publicity around Gwake (Gwen and Blake) sort of moot in the long-run. I wonder if somewhere at NBC, they?re trying to figure out a way to get Gwen to stay on and maybe have Christina leave the show permanently? For now though, Christina is getting a lot of questions about Blake and Gwen?s relationship, which she thinks is ?awesome.? She told Us Weekly: ?I?ve known Gwen for a really long time. We went to each others? kids birthday parties, we share the same management, and Blake I know now from the show?I keep telling them both to stay strong and have fun! Divorce and life is hard enough! If you find someone who makes you happy, you gotta go for it. So they deserve it and they deserve to be happy!?

| Antonio Banderas on filming The 33, about the Chilean miners: 'everyone got sick' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Antonio Banderas covers the upcoming issue of Parade to promote his new movie, The 33, based on the 2010 true story of the 33 miners in Chile trapped underground for a grueling 69 days. As you surely remember, all of the men survived. It’s an incredible example of the world, a nation and a community coming together in a dramatic and heartwarming rescue operation. It’s also the story of the will and togetherness of the miners. Banderas plays Mario Seplveda, who made the video journals which were sent to the surface and helped keep everyone’s spirits up. The film also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche and James Brolin.
In Parade, Banderas explains how difficult the movie was to film as the faced full days of filming in actual mines in Columbia, where the mines are not as deep as in Chile. He is careful not to sound ungrateful or like he is complaining, especially when his situation as an actor is compared to the ordeal of the actual miners.
On filming underground during the month-long shoot:
“People are working [in the mines] their whole lives. And some people die there, so I don’t want it to seem like I am complaining. But filming was hard at times. You breathe a lot of methane gas, so you have this metallic feeling in your throat. And practically the entire crew got sick. But the biggest problem was the cold… It was ironic that we were so cold, and we had to be practically naked the entire time, faking that we were incredibly hot. They put this grease on us to fake the sweat, and that made it even colder. After a month in that situation you just wanted to get out. We got into the mines each day just before sunrise and would come out after sunset. We never saw daylight.”
On watching the drama unfold in 2010, culminating in the rescue of all 33 miners:
“When I saw the real event on television it produced something in me. Everybody was attached to the television wishing for these guys to survive. It was like a song going on all around the world, a song of life… when we saw these guys coming out of the ground, it was euphoric. That is so important, and it is why I wanted to make this movie.”
On spending time with Mario Seplveda, the miners’ de facto leader during their claustrophibic ordeal, whose character he played:
“He carries a bipolarity that is very strong. He is a man who is making you laugh and will then drop like a stone and be very sad. The most important thing about him was that he learned to survive at a very early age. He had many brothers, and he has a toughness that is exactly what you need in a situation like the mine collapse… Mario was an action man. He was not going to just sit there. He put a military discipline into place, to stretch as much as possible the days that they had in there. Without his participation, probably the oldest of the miners would have died.”
[From Parade received via email]
I’m really covering this story because I heard the film’s director, Patricia Riggen, on NPR this morning. She was so articulate about the obstacles she faced breaking into directing as a woman, and she was passionate about this project. Riggen met with all of the miners before making the film and she said that 90-95% of the things in the movie actually happened. She also said that the film was hard to get off the ground because “Nobody wanted to make this movie… it’s a drama about 33 Latin men and that doesn’t get made anymore.” Riggen comfirmed Bandera’s account of the rough conditions under which they filmed, including the fact that they shot for 14 hours a day, six days a week, for 35 days inside a mine.
As for how the real-life miners are doing, Riggen was able to get them together for a feast but she said “They are not doing well. They have PTSD; they didn’t get compensated by the mine owners ? nothing. So you know, we’re all working really hard to be able to give them something back.”
The 33 is out now. Here’s the trailer. This only has a 35% on Rotten Tomatoes, but I hope it makes some money at the box office.
Here are some photos from the premiere of The 33 at the AFI film fest on 11-9-15 featuring Antonio and his girlfriend, Nicole Kimpel, Juliette Binoche, Lou Diamond Phillips and Rodrigo Santoro.

| Gwyneth Paltrow believes consciously uncoupling 'broke the f?king internet' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow started Gooping years ago, she?s done an annual Christmas/holiday gift guide around this time. The Goop Gift Guide has become a thing of legend at this point, because Gwyneth?s smug obliviousness always includes ridiculously overpriced gifts. For what it?s worth, I?m always more offended by Goop?s Seasonal Fashion guides, which is where she recommends literally thousands of dollars? worth of trendy crap that people will only wear for a month or two. Anyway, last year?s Goop Gift Guide would have set people back $109,384. This year?s price tag for the whole list is much, much more ? you can see the gift guide here at Goop. Some highlighted items that you?ll want to give your mother, brother-in-law and your boss:
$90,000 for the ?Edge of Space Exploration? vacation package, which includes a trip to the Miraval Resort in Tucson.
$125,000 for 18-carat gold dumbbells from M’oda Operandi
$1,621.27 for The Darwin Sect?s illuminated jellyfish tank.
$2,300 for Just One Eye gilded playing cards
$956 for Joseph?s Toiletries toilet paper.
$244 for the Cedes Milano toothpaste squeezer.
$42 for the Canoe condom dispenser.
$40,000 for the Beolab 90 sound machine.
$46,000 for the Hermes mah-jong set.
I?ll give Gwyneth some credit, actually. This is the most organized Goop Gift Guide she?s ever done, and as I glanced through the list, I actually didn?t think that most of the stuff was balls-out ridiculous. I mean, is it still crazy-overpriced? Sure. Does she still look really out of touch? Yes. But if you look at it as escapism, it?s fun to browse through the lists.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth took part in a Fast Company Q&A/forum this week where Gwyneth previewed the gift guide. As it turns out, she was gleeful about the idea of pissing people off with her smug recommendations. As it turns out, Gwyneth is actively trolling us with her recommendations for $125,000 gold dumbbells and vadge steamings. Goop said:
She?s trolling us: ?I think, in a media company, it’s good when people are talking about your content. Especially if you stand by your content: It’s not like we’re a gossip site, we’re not saying mean things?we have no negativity in the website at all. If we try a restaurant and we don’t like it, we just don’t add it. That’s part of our values?we believe in positivity and promoting, we don’t say anything bad? to get attention for our content is never a bad thing?. Sometimes we just like to have fun, and make fun of ourselves and put on [Goop.com] some ridiculous thing just to make ourselves laugh.”
The ?Conscious Uncoupling? thing: “[It] broke the f–king Internet? At the time, I was like ‘Oh, my gosh.’ It was such a hard time personally, and then you have this added layer of all this criticism. You look back, you think, well, this is actually kind of a good thing to talk about, introducing [the idea that] you could break up in a way where you remain a family, even if you’re not in a couple. What would be that knock-on effect, on your children, on your community?”
[From Fast Company]
?Conscious Uncoupling? did not ?break the f?king internet.? You know what it did do? It broke her website. I remember that evening when she posted the message, Goop.com kept crashing. She broke her own website and then, because the world resolves around Gwyneth, she assumed that everyone was obsessed with her. As opposed to her site being poorly operated.

| In Touch: Jessica Biel 'is refusing to vaccinate' her 7-month-old son Silas | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
It?s not that I have ever believed that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are incredibly sensible, normal people. I know they?re probably just the same as every other celebrity couple, which is to say? out-of-touch, slightly crazy, insular and ridiculous. But I did believe that somewhere, Jessica and Justin would have had enough brain cells to knock together a cogent opinion about vaccinations. In Touch Weekly has a source claiming that Jessica and Justin have decided to not vaccinate their son Silas. Oh? honey, no.
Are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel making the controversial decision to not vaccinate their 7-month-old son, Silas? A friend of the couple claims so, telling In Touch magazine that ?Jessica is refusing to vaccinate him. She feels that vaccination could cause complications.?
While In Touch reached out to Justin and Jessica?s reps for comment a combined total of nine times over several weeks, the reps received the messages but did not respond.
Not vaccinating a child is a practice that does have some celeb proponents, including Jenny McCarthy, Alicia Silverstone and Kristin Cavallari. But it is a controversial choice, and it?s rooted in studies that have been thoroughly discredited by the mainstream medical community.
The friend who alleges that Jessica and Justin aren?t vaccinating their son adds: ?I?m sure Jessica believes that she?s making the right decision, but hopefully she and Justin will do some more research on this and change their minds.?
[From In Touch Weekly]
I might expect this kind of thing if it was 2007, you know? But in 2015, the Anti-Vaxxers are very much a fringe element in our society. After a resurgence in measles, mumps and rubella, many Anti-Vaxxers and anti-vax apologists rethought their positions. Anyway, I wonder why JT and Biel didn?t outright deny this story to In Touch? Is it because it?s the truth? It?s also possible that they intend to vaccinate Silas at some point, but they?re making up their own vaccination schedule rather than following the pediatrician?s instructions.

| Julianne Moore covers Town & Country: classic beauty or underdone? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Town and Country has a new cover interview with Julianne Moore, 54. (She’s one of those celebrities whose age surprises me every time I look it up.) Moore’s styling is so impeccable that if she showed up on a red carpet like this she would definitely make it into the top beauty moments of the year. They left her hair loose and beachy and paired a bold dark lip and contoured cheek with minimal eye makeup. It works against her pale skin, especially in the incredible jewel-toned velvet dresses she’s wearing, by Dior and Valentino. These images just remind me that Moore can hit it out of the park with the right styling, but she’s hit or miss on the red carpet. I think that just speaks to her willingness to take risks and not take herself too seriously.
T&C’s profile of Moore is delightful. They sent us over some quotes which just don’t do her justice when taken out of the context of the piece. Moore meets their journalist, Mary Kaye Schilling, at the Judd Foundation in her native New York. They tour the perfectly preserved loft and open living space of the late minimalist artist, Donald Judd, and Moore is just thrilled to be there. As someone who loves house museums and modern design, I found her enthusiasm contagious. Here are some of Moore’s quotes:
Julianne Moore on how taking the deep dive into a role?the how and why of a role is one of the things she enjoys most:
?I love that part of the job. I love it every single time. The specifics of being a Jersey cop versus a New York cop, like where you have your badge, where you have your gun, what you might do with your hair. And being a female cop, and what that means in those environments. All these things that signify who you are.?
Moore?s guilty pleasure:
?[Twitter] is the one thing I?m addicted to. I follow a lot of comedians and news sites. I never sit quietly anymore.?
Ethan Hawke, Moore?s husband in Maggie?s Plan, on what it was like to work with her for the first time after having been friends for more than a decade:
?She?s super easy to be around, but also, don?t f*** with her. It was really clear to me at rehearsal that we were now at work, and there was a way she was going to work. Unlike a lot of actors, who wait around for the brilliant director to give them a chance to be as good as they want to be, Julie creates that chance. She?s not waiting for permission.?
Moore on the holidays:
?I like to bake?I always make cornbread at Thanksgiving, which is our favorite holiday to host. We usually have between 25 and 40 people, our family and friends that we?ve known since the kids were little. [Christmas is quieter] just the four of us. My son usually has a basketball tournament. But I love being in the city then.?
Moore on her love of historical homes:
?I think I?ll tell my family that I want an old loft for Christmas. We have a townhouse in the West Village that we renovated 12 years ago, but I?m ready for something new.?
[From Town & Country]
Some of these quotes come from a little two minute interview video which you can see on T&C’s site. Moore laughs at herself and seems to realize how ridiculous it is to want a loft for Christmas, but that’s who she is. She also names her favorite red carpet designers, with Tom Ford, Givenchy and Chanel among them, and her favorite day look designers, along with some of her cherished clothing items.
The online article has more quotes from Ethan Hawke on what a professional Moore is, how humble she is, and how he thinks she got to that point in her career – by showing up and putting the work in. The journalist shares this quote as it applies to Moore, “The one way to be great is to be good over and over and over.” This just brings home how consistently great she is, and how that must have been achieved with a lot of dedication and legwork.

| Amber Rose tells women: 'use seductive skills to get money from' men | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Amber Rose is promoting her new book, How to Be a Bad Bitch. (NSFW warning on the book jacket, which looks like a scene from the Spice Channel circa 1997.) After reading some of her new interview with Time Magazine, I think a more accurate title would be How to Be a Basic Bitch. Amber insists that she’s an entrepreneur with people working for her and that she makes her own money. Then she contradicts herself by telling women that they should use their “seductive skills to get money from our significant others.”
I admire how outspoken she can be about women’s rights, and her slut walk was media-savvy feminist commentary paired with self promotion. She got famous as Kanye West’s girlfriend, then as Wiz Khalifa’s plus one, but she’s defensive about this and yet does nothing to counter it in this Time piece:
She made a million but didn’t save enough for taxes
?I feel like I?m in a position to give advice to women because I?ve made all of these mistakes. One of the biggest financial mistakes that I ever made was making a lot of money?I wanna say I made $1 million in 2011?and I spent all of it. And then after that, I had to pay taxes, and I did not have money for the taxes, and I was like, ?I cannot believe I did this.? And I really had to start over ? I know a whole lot of people that don?t pay taxes. And it comes back to bite you in the ass. Trust me. So I did pay all my taxes off, and I feel amazing now, but it took a lot of hard work.?
She advises women to get friends and men to pay
?If they?re your friends, they?ll respect [that you're trying to save money]. Tell them that you?re trying to save up for whatever it may be, and if they want you to come out with them then it has to be their treat. As women, we?re fortunate enough to use our seductive skills in order to be able to get money from our significant others. I also talk about seduction in the book. A lot of women don?t know how to seduce a man. It is extremely easy once you get to that point, and you can get anything you want out of them. And I know it might sound messed up, but once you get to that point, it?s not using. It?s not using a man, it?s literally getting what you want by any means necessary.?
Don’t disrespect her for being a stripper in the past
?I am a mogul. I have a bunch of businesses, I?m now an actress, I?m an author, I went on an entire world tour and I don?t even sing. So if that doesn?t tell you that I am an entrepreneur, then I don?t know what does. The fact that I was a stripper does not take away the fact that I?m smart, that I am witty, that I am capable of running my own business. There?s famous guys that were drug dealers back in the day, and no one ever brings up that fact. But as a woman, they bring up the fact that I was a hustler. And it?s extremely unfair, and I just don?t tolerate it.?
She’s more than a baby mama
“They belittle me like I?m just some baby mama. I was married?I still am married, actually. And I do have a beautiful son. I?m not a baby mama. I?m so much more than a baby mama. So, how f?ing dare you? You know what I?m saying? And to see the comments from women, saying like, ?Well, you are a baby mama,? it?s just like, ?Girl, you are so lost. You are not just a baby mama. Let?s help each other.’?
[From Time]
I’ve been self employed for over 15 years. I’ve never had a problem saving enough money for my taxes, and I make a small fraction of what Amber Rose claims she makes. (Although she’s exaggerating right? I need to start calling the paps on myself, as if they’d bother to show up.) Also, when I hear about someone making a million dollars as a one-off, I question why they don’t just put it away for retirement. Maybe Amber thought the money would just keep flowing though, since she couldn’t even put aside enough to pay the government.
She’s not wrong about the fact that being a stripper has nothing to do with her worth as a person. This is a great message. However WTF is she saying about coaxing money out of your partner? I make my own damn money, I don’t sleep with people based on their ability to be my ATM. I don’t try to manipulate men into giving me money for things. It sounds like she’s claiming that she’s self sufficient and yet telling women that we should work to get money from men. Those two things are not compatible. If you support yourself you don’t need to do this. Men are not pawns to be played to buy us sh*t.

| Jennifer Lawrence: 'I don't know if I ever will get married & I?m okay with that' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Fug bridal sacks aside, Jennifer Lawrence is not dreaming of walking down the aisle in a perfect Vera Wang wedding gown. That?s not where she is right now, and maybe she?ll never be there. This is sort of personal to me, mostly because I am that person. I?m missing The Bride Gene. Do I enjoy looking at wedding photos and judging your wedding gown? For sure. Do I love reading about what food was served at your wedding? Absolutely. Do I judge you for not serving a cake? Yes, I do. But I have never, ever had the desire to plan my wedding or wear the white dress or any of it. I?m just lacking that part of womanhood, I guess. And it?s nice to see a high-profile fellow traveler like J-Law.
Jennifer sat down with Diane Sawyer for a nice interview with Good Morning America/ABC News. Diane was utterly charmed by J-Law, because of course. Through the course of the interview, Jennifer referenced her ?five years? with Nicholas Hoult and she sounded very bittersweet about it. Then she discussed how she kind of thinks she?s not into marriage.
Some assorted quotes:
The end of an era, being done with Nicholas Hoult & the Hunger Games: “These movies had been my life for so long and they had to come first in everything. I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and that was my life. So my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24 was this whole year of, ?Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?’”
On the idea of marriage: “I don’t know if I ever will get married and I’m OK with that. I don’t feel that I need anything to complete me. I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something. I don’t really plan on getting married. I might. I definitely want to be a mother. I don’t really imagine getting married anymore.”
Her wage gap essay: ?My question to myself was why am I not asking for it? And I think I know I have always kind of carried a habit of submissiveness with the idea that it makes me more likeable. I felt like I had had to say something because we need to talk about it. On average women are paid 21 percent less than men… We can ask for the same exact thing that men do and we do face the reality that we do get judged more. It’s just something that is intrinsic, and I would love to see change.”
[Via E! News]
I wonder if her anti-marriage talk is just a phase, a reaction to the end of her relationship with Hoult, and then whatever went down with Chris Martin. Maybe it?s just me, but if I had to listen to Chris Martin sing about my ?magic,? I would want to shut down the idea of ?happily ever after? as well. I do wonder about Hoult though. It seemed like? they complemented each other so well. It seemed like a real love match. It seemed sweet AND hot. Maybe after five years with a guy like that, you need to take a few years to reassess and figure out what it is you really want. Anyway? I would watch The Diane & J-Law Show for a long time. Jennifer needs to stay with Diane Sawyer whenever she?s in NYC. They?re very cute together.
