I?m really looking forward to the end of Keeping Up with the Kardashians for one particular reason: when the show ends, hopefully people will stop saying ?they?re just doing such-and-such for the show.? Like, there are full-blown conspiracies that Kim Kardashian?s Paris robbery was some kind of stunt for KUWTK. It was not. That happens time and time again. I?m not saying that the Kardashian-Jenners don?t pull stunts specifically for the show they absolutely do. But they?re not, like, arranging robberies or getting divorces specifically for their dumb reality show.
I bring this up because people also acted like Kim was going to spend the last season of KUWTK bashing Kanye West or that the show would feature intimate scenes of their marriage falling apart. They haven?t shown any of that. The episodes airing right now were filmed in late 2020, as Kim and Kanye continued (as always) to live separate lives, and as Kanye was living full-time in Wyoming. In the penultimate episode of the final season, Kim and her sisters finally introduce the idea that Kim?s marriage is in the crapper:
So the big reveal was footage of Kim crying with her sisters after she and Kanye had a fight, and this is what was said:
?I honestly cant do this anymore, Kim said through tears. Why am I still in this like, place where Im stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state, every year, I have to be together so I can raise the kids, you know? And hes an amazing dad, hes done an amazing job ? I think he deserves someone that can go support his every move, go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming ? I cant do that. He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything.
I feel like a f failure, that its like, a third f marriage, Kim added. Yeah I feel like a f loser. But I cant even think about that like, I want to be happy.
Kim is one of the most incredible human beings, literally ever, and she tries to protect their union at all costs, but its hard when you carry that responsibility on your shoulders and I just want her to take care of herself too, Khlo said in her confessional before the episode turned back to her conversation with Kim in Tahoe.
You can always talk to me about whatever, she told Kim.
Theres honestly nothing to talk about, Kim said. I mean, I wont live with the fighting and stuff, like, if it was constant.

All of those claims that Kim would exploit Kanye?s poor mental health and that the final season of KUWTK would feature Kim bashing Kanye endlessly and then this is all they show. Kim calling herself a fking loser because she?s about to go through her third divorce, and Kim crying about how Kanye deserves to be with someone who can support him and his life. Of course this was somewhat ?faked? for the cameras, but once again, it?s fine. This wasn?t some ?Kanye?s the worst, I hate him and here?s why.?

Kate Winslet didn?t do a ton of press around Mare of Easttown, but I am expecting her to talk more about the series now that every episode has aired and the conversations are not littered with spoilers. Plus, she?ll want to campaign for awards for her outstanding work in the limited series, and she absolutely will deserve all of the nominations and awards she gets for playing Mare. She was great! During her recent press campaigns, Kate hasn?t talked that much about her husband, Ned Rocknroll. I low-key wondered if there were some marriage issues, honestly. But in a recent interview, Kate was back to talking up Ned, who I guess we?re calling Edward Abel Smith now. Media outlets are referring to him as ?formerly known as Ned Rocknroll? so he really did change his name back, which he promised to do in 2019. Some highlights:
On Ned/Edward: Kate called him the superhot, superhuman, stay-at-home dad. Winslet shares a son, 7-year-old Bear Blaze with Abel Smith, 43, whom she married in 2012. He looks after us, especially me. I said to him earlier, like, Neddy, could you do something for me? He just went, Anything.? He is an absolutely extraordinary life partner.?
He reads lines with her: Im so, so, so lucky. For a man who is severely dyslexic, as he is, hes great at testing me on lines. Its so hard for him to read out loud, but he still does it.
He never thought he?d marry an actress: The Oscar winner admitted that Abel Smith didnt particularly plan on meeting and marrying a woman who is in the public eye and therefore having been so judged but that he handles it well.
He?s all about the calming energy: Hes vegan, does yoga, breath work and cold water swims.?

For what it?s worth, Ned (I can?t get used to his real name) is from a well-connected family and his first wife was a well-connected aristocrat, then he began to eschew that sort of double-barrelled aristocratic life and fell in love with an actress. And now he?s a stay-at-home dad and he travels with Kate when she?s working and all of that. I would imagine he?s pretty happy, and clearly, it works for them. Her two previous partners were very much ?in the industry? and they often had competing work schedules, especially Sam Mendes. I feel like Winslet wanted something a lot different with this relationship.

You guys, they?re still filming Mission: Impossible 7??? That is legitimately shocking. Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures were bizarrely focused on filming the action film throughout the worst of the pandemic last summer, last fall and into the winter. The MI7 production was in Venice, Rome, Dubai and London throughout the last half of 2020. I remember reading stories in December 2020 and January of this year that the production wrapped? Maybe they just wrapped on the parts they were filming in the studios in London. It was back in December that the British papers got the leaked audio of Tom Cruise ranting at crew members for not wearing their masks properly while they worked inside. Following that rant, crew members quit that bitch and yet the MI7 production limped along. And now several people on the production tested positive for Covid and MI7 has halted production.
Mission: Impossible 7 has suspended production due to a positive coronavirus test on set. News of the shutdown was reported on Thursday, in a statement from Paramount Pictures.
We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing, a studio spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly in a statement. We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.
Its unclear at this time how many people may have tested positive, or when production will resume. A representative for Paramount did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment. The news comes several months after an audio recording leaked late last year that featured Tom Cruise lashing out at crew members on the set of Mission: Impossible 7 over COVID-19 protocols being neglected.
The big-budget action sequel halted production in Italy back in February 2020 as the coronavirus outbreak began, but eventually resumed in Rome in October. Variety reported that the set was then shut down for a week in October after positive COVID tests.

When I first read the news, I thought Tom Cruise was one of the people who tested positive and I was like ?oh no he?s gonna be soooo mad about that.? Well, they aren?t actually saying he was one of the people who tested positive, but reportedly Cruise is ?fuming? about the situation. Cruise has been forced into self-isolation for fourteen days because he had somewhat close contact with someone who tested positive. Plus, Cruise is just fuming because this production is cursed and they?ve lost so much money in all of these testing and isolating delays. Cruise is going to spend the next fourteen days ranting into a pillow.
(P.S. At some point we need to talk about Tom?s sad bangs trauma, but not today.)

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez at Windward School in LA on Thursday. I don?t know what this is about, because I?m almost positive that her kids are in school in Miami. Jennifer and Marc Anthony share custody of Max and Emme, and I?d be willing to bet that Marc has the kids this week while Jennifer is in LA, and he?s making the school runs (if the kids are still in school in June? IDK). Is Jen thinking of transferring the kids to an LA school? She would only do that if she was planning on spending much more time in LA in the next school year. Ben Affleck is LA-based. So? um. We?ll see. I said this week that I have my fingers crossed for Bennifer to stay together for the September Met Gala. But it does seem like Jennifer is making plans for beyond that.
We can also assume from these photos that this is Jennifer?s postcoital Bennifer vibes: flowy dresses, summer whites, looking happy and relaxed. Speaking of, Ben was photographed leaving Jennifer?s LA home Thursday morning, after he spent the night there. This was his postcoital vibe:
