| Angelina Jolie: For many kids, the quarantine means the end of their education | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Is Angelina Jolie already a little bit stir-crazy? Perhaps. Over the past three years, she?s gotten used to spending time in one place for months at a time, although as we?ve seen, she gets itchy to travel and explore and visit far-flung places, often with her kids. She?s been in LA with her children for months though, and now Maddox is home from South Korea, and so the Jolie Seven are together again for the quarantine. Which explains why Angelina agreed to speak to a South Korean reporter at DongA Daily about coronavirus, quarantines, Maddox?s studies and lots more. Some highlights:
On Maddox choosing Yonsei University: ?I could not be happier about Mad?s choice of university. It is, of course, closed at the moment because of the pandemic. But he?s not transferring school, he?ll be back as soon as things settle. We are all so happy, as a family, that we will have the opportunity to get to know South Korea even better through Maddox, and with him, during his studies.?
She?s homeschooling her kids, but she?s worried about access to education for kids around the world: ?Being suddenly out of school and cut off from friends is hard for anyone, but in some countries, if a young person?s education is interrupted in this way, they may never be able to go back, because they have to go to work or face other pressures. So there?s an urgent need to help young people to continue their education, through distance learning for example, to ensure they are able to get their qualifications and that they get the other kinds of support they need. This is my major focus, and something that I?m working on with UNESCO and a Global Education Coalition.?
She hopes governments care about refugees even in the pandemic: ?The most important thing to understand is that even before the virus, the situation for refugees globally was dire, with chronic shortfalls in basic humanitarian assistance including, for instance, a lack of basic healthcare. So while of course it is right that governments are moving quickly to protect their own citizens, it is urgent that we help more vulnerable societies and communities that could be devastated by this disease.?
She?s providing more content for the BBC show My World, which she executive-produces, and she released this statement about it: ?Children have not been out of school on this scale since the Second World War. This is something that throughout their lifetimes, they will remember. It is something that older generations, for all their other reference points, have not experienced. The way children go through this time ? from the tools and information they can access to the ways they can communicate to and help each other ? will be unique to their generation. We want to help kids to have access to trusted content and tools that will be useful to them during the pandemic: including helping them to seek out fact-based and reliable news, question the information they receive, and learn from each other?s experiences.?
[From People]
Quarantine kids are like ?yay no school, I?m going play outside? and Angelina is the mom who is like ?there are kids quarantined in Pakistan who would love to have your access to remote learning tools. Those kids would love access to education past the ninth grade.? And that sh-t works too, at least it did on me when I was a kid. Anyway, of course I believe her, Maddox will go back to South Korea, probably in the fall, one would hope.

| Tori Spelling tried to charge fans $95 a piece to talk to her on Zoom | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

So many celebrities are working to entertain and connect with us at this scary time. Im enjoying the Instagram live interviews, the at-home concerts, the dance parties and DIY interviews. Some of my favorite websites and experts are even holding free Zoom meetups where you can talk to them and other fans. Im doing that too! We meet on Zoom every Wednesday at 4pm EST so email me at info-at-celebitchy.com if youd like an invite. We had the first one yesterday and it was so much fun! Its more about you guys talking to each other than me specifically. Ive never met so many women at once who know as much about celebrity gossip as I do! Of course I would never charge for this because most of you are more interesting than I am. One celebrity who does not think that way is Tori Spelling. She tried charging people $95 a PIECE for a Zoom chat with her capped at 20 people. Why not make it an even $100? What an a-hole:
?Can?t wait to do my first ever virtual meet and greet Thursday, April 9 at 5pm PDT,? Spelling, 46, wrote via Instagram on Monday, April 6, promoting her upcoming live video chat. ?Only 20 spots available so reserve your spot now. Link in my bio xoxo.?
When fans went to click on the link, however, many were upset to learn that the chat with the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star costs $95.
?Of course it?s $95 because during a Pandemic we all have that to spare what a bummer ??.? one follower commented on Spelling?s Instagram post.
Another called out the actress for her selfish ways amid the current coronavirus crisis, writing, ?Damn people are dying, and you still thinking how to gain money from us? what you were and what you became.?
While one fan pointed out that other celebs were taking time to raise funds for charity, another wrote that she would?ve participated if it wasn?t so expensive. ?Its a bad time for me, since myself and my husband both lost our jobs. but maybe next time,? the fan wrote. ?Im a HUGE 90210 fan. Love u tori aka donna martin.?
[From US Magazine]
Tori seems to have either canceled the meetup or taken it private because the post is now deleted. Her husband, Dean McDermott, did an Instagram video defending Tori. You can see it on the video below. Hes wearing a hat with the words Violent Gentleman Hockey Club and a shirt that says Papa Bear in all caps camo print. In case you dont want to subject yourself to it, he says:
I find myself having to come to my wifes defense yet again. Im really disappointed because shes catching flack and getting dragged yet again for doing a live meet and greet. People are upset that given the current situation were in that shes [airquotes] charging people money to do a meet and greet.
-E: Dean claims his wife was approached by a company to do the meet and greet
What is wrong with providing for your family at this time? All the studios, everything is shut down. She has no way to work. So why can she not work from home and do a live meet and greet with fans and give them some light and love and have some fun? There are numerous celebrities and influencers that post stuff and are out there making money.
[From Instagram Live via E! News video]
Thats a BS that Tori was approached by a company to do the meetup. You know it was her idea. This is the woman who moved to a $13,000 a month house afer being sued for nonpayment of debts by multiple creditors. Shes had her assets seized by the IRS. Her mom has tens of millions of dollars, her kids arent going to go hungry and shes not going to go homeless. This is not the time to charge people to talk to you. The fact that she tried to do it and that her dirtbag husband defended her tells you everything you need to know about these people.

| Kylie Jenner is still the youngest billionaire in the world, according to Forbes | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In 2018, Forbes put Kylie Jenner on their ?America?s Billionaires? cover even though they said explicitly that Kylie wasn?t yet a billionaire, she was just ?on track? to becoming a billionaire because of Kylie Cosmetics. Then, about a year ago, Forbes updated their information Kylie was then officially a billionaire, and officially America?s youngest ?self-made? billionaire. They were solely taking into account the paper value of Kylie Cosmetics at the time. Well, it worked and drove the value of her company up, and just months later, she officially sold 51% of her company to Coty for $600 million. She still has a lot of control over her cosmetics company, but she doesn?t have to deal with everything day-to-day. She sold when the getting was good too I imagine many beauty companies are already taking a huge financial hit in the pandemic. Anyway, Forbes announced this week: Kylie is still the world?s youngest self-made billionaire.
Forbes just released the annual World?s Billionaires list, and Kylie Jenner remains the planet?s youngest self-made billionaire. Yes, youngest (she?s 22). Yes, self-made (despite a lot of help from her famous family, she didn?t inherit her business?she built it). And yes, billionaire (she?s worth $1 billion). Jenner first made it onto the billionaires list in March 2019, then further cemented her spot in November, when she agreed to sell 51% of her Kylie Cosmetics to beauty giant Coty Inc. for $600 million. The deal, which closed in January, values her business at about $1.2 billion. Cash from the sale and her remaining 49% share of the company make Jenner one of just 2,095 people in the world with a ten-digit fortune.
?I didn?t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,? Jenner previously told Forbes. ?But [the recognition] feels really good. That?s a nice pat on the back.?
Jenner is one of just ten billionaires in the world currently under the age of 30. Seven of the ten are heirs. Only three created their own fortune. Besides Jenner, there?s John Collison, who cofounded payments processor Stripe and is worth $3.2 billion, and Snapchat cofounder Evan Spiegel, who is worth $1.9 billion. Both are 29?seven years older than Kylie Jenner.
[From Forbes]
Are we going to repeat the same fight about whether she?s self-made? I don?t feel like fighting. I?ll just say that the criteria Forbes uses to determine who is and is not self-made is not the same criteria that we use on gossip blogs. To Forbes, ?self made? simply means that Kylie started a company from the ground up and she didn?t inherit a business, nor did she inherit a fortune. Of course, she did inherit the name and the family connections and a reality show platform and her enormous privilege and all of that. And yes, even if you don?t believe Kylie is technically worth one billion dollars, can you admit that she?s worth high nine-figures?? Jesus H.

| Keira Knightley says she's done with doing nudity in films & TV after having two kids | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I actually don?t remember Keira Knightley doing a ton of nudity in her career? I mean, I know she?s gone topless a few times, but it?s not like she?s known for taking on super-sexy roles where her body is on display. Most of her career is made up of costume-dramas, although I recently saw half (?) of The Aftermath, and I was surprised by the sex scenes and the partial nudity from Keira. Turns out, that was probably the last ?let?s take the kit off? role for Keira. She?s now saying that she?s cancelling nudity!
Keira Knightley has insisted that she will no longer strip off for racy nude scenes now that she is a mother-of-two. The actress, 34, admitted that she always felt completely comfortable stripping off for films when she was younger. But now that she is a mother-of-two, Keira revealed that motherhood has changed the way her body looks and she doesnt want to stand nude in front of a film crew. In an interview with The Financial Times, she joked: The nipples droop!
Keira added: Im really happy with my body. Its done an amazing thing. But I also dont want to stand there in front of a whole film crew. The actress insisted that she always felt completely comfortable stripping off for films when she was younger but nowadays sex scenes are heightened in movies. While Keira has appeared topless in films such as The Edge Of Love and The Duchess, she said that she has never done a scene where I felt, Whoa, that went too far.
That was a choice, she said of her decision not to undress on camera any more. I get to choose the body double. It is an interesting selection process! It kind of goes like, Thats a little bit like you, but better. She has a lovely body, so she can do this then I get final approval of what the edit is.
She told The Times: I have been comfortable earlier with more nudity than I am now. I have had a kid, I am in my thirties, I am very happy with my body. But I dont feel I need to get it out that much any more.
She now has a no-nudity clause in her contract and is proud that she has total control of every sex scene she appears in.
[From The Daily Mail]
I think it?s her body, her choice, and I?m happy that she has that power on film sets, to dictate how her body is shown or not shown. I feel like? every actress should have that power? But it?s something ?given? to certain actresses when they reach a certain level of fame or success. Still, that seems to be changing too, especially with Time?s Up. In many of the interviews and round-table discussions with actresses over the past two years, they?ve all said that more shoots are hiring ?intimacy coaches? who are basically there to be advocates for the actors re: nudity and sex scenes. Progress is so slow.

Ariana Grande isn?t letting a few missed salon appointments get her down. With hair, skin and nail salons classified as non-essential businesses, most have closed, hopefully just temporarily. But like so many of us stuck-at-home, Ariana chooses not to see this as a challenge and to do it herself. She first took the opportunity to let her hair down, literally. Losing her signature ponytail extension, Ariana gave us a glimpse of her natural curls on Twitter. Since then, she?s proudly letting her Quarantine Curls fly free to the delight of her IG followers.
