I was going to make a ?they said it wouldn?t last and it didn?t? joke, but I honestly don?t remember many people caring enough about Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson to even suggest that it wouldn?t last. Ashley and Cara began dating in 2018, but they became much more official last year, and they even attended a few events together and started appearing on each other?s social media. I got the feeling that Ashley was more reticent about going public with the relationship, as opposed to Cara who loves to live her life out loud. Well, it didn?t last. Sad.
Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson are going their separate ways. The supermodel, 27, and the actress, 30, split in early April, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE.
One source says that Delevingne and Benson ended their relationship in April, adding that Delevingne has been spending time with friends including Margaret Qualley and her sister Rainey Qualley, as well as Kaia Gerber, while self-quarantining amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but its over now, the source tells PEOPLE. Their relationship just ran its course.?
Representatives for the former couple have not commented. Delevingne and Benson were first spotted together when they were photographed kissing at London?s Heathrow Airport in August 2018, and have been snapped being affectionate together many times since.
[From People]
An April breakup? I wonder if this was another corona-split? It doesn?t actually sound like they were quarantined alone, just the two of them, which is probably a bad sign for their relationship too. It sounds like Ashley and Cara were quarantined with Margaret Qualley, Rainey Qualley and Kaia Gerber? The fk? Two of those young women dated Pete Davidson, one right after the other. And that sounds like a big group of ?friends? for a lockdown. God, can you imagine how annoying Cara is in lockdown?

| Duchess Kate launches a photography competition for portraits in lockdown | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ve been thinking a lot about photography and the quality of video-conferencing during the lockdown. There have already been some startling photos taken by professional photographers of American life during lockdown, but I can?t help but think that if there were more photos and high-quality videos of what life is really like during a pandemic, perhaps there wouldn?t be as many crazy-ass anti-lockdown protesters who don?t believe that all of this is REAL. Speaking of, the Duchess of Cambridge has launched a new photography competition in association with her patronage with the National Portrait Gallery. They want submissions of British life in lockdown during a pandemic:
Kate Middleton announced a new photography project on Thursday that asks people to send in photos that capture the spirit, the mood, the hopes, the fears and the feelings across the U.K. amid the coronavirus crisis. In collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, the royal mom of three is inviting people from all over the U.K. to submit a photographic portrait that they have taken during these extraordinary times. Participants are also encouraged to provide a short written submission to outline the experiences and emotions of those depicted in their photograph.
The most poignant portraits will be selected for an exhibit called, Hold Still, which will be shown in a virtual exhibition in early summer.
?We?ve all been struck by some of the incredible images we?ve seen which have given us an insight into the experiences and stories of people across the country,? Kate says in a statement. ?Some desperately sad images showing the human tragedy of this pandemic and other uplifting pictures showing people coming together to support those more vulnerable. Hold Still aims to capture a portrait of the nation, the spirit of the nation, what everyone is going through at this time. Photographs reflecting resilience, bravery, kindness ? all those things that people are experiencing.?
The project will focus on three core themes: Helpers and Heroes; Your New Normal; and Acts of Kindness. Kate, who is patron of the National Portrait Gallery, will take part in the curation of the exhibition, which she and the National Portrait Gallery hope to be able to show around the U.K. when the time and circumstances allow. Completely free and open to all ages and abilities, the images can be captured on phones or cameras and each image will be assessed on the emotion and experience it conveys rather than its photographic quality or technical expertise.
The collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery came from discussions between Kate and the museum. ?It is something she is really driving,? a royal source says. ?It focuses on the human story of lockdown and their experiences. It hopes to capture a moment in time.?
[From People]
It?s a good project? And of course Kate is getting credit for being the ?driving force? or whatever, like she?s the only person in the world who thought ?we should do portraits in lockdown,? like every single magazine editor across the Western world hasn?t had the same idea. And this goes to what I was saying before: the more this catastrophe is shown for everyone to see, in all of the vulnerability and fear, the more ?real? it will be for people. I think most of these ?call me a Grandma Killer? aholes simply don?t think any of this is REAL. Or they?re ?bored? with it and so they want to move on.
Completely free & open to all ages and abilities, #HoldStill2020 will capture a snapshot of the UK at this time, creating a collective portrait reflecting resilience & bravery, humour & sadness, creativity & kindness, and human tragedy & hope.

| Selena Gomez is getting a quarantine cooking show with HBO Max | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

All the new streaming platforms need content. That?s the only excuse I can think of for some of the the shows that have supposedly already been optioned. The latest in a series of, ?Whut? Why?? projects is Selena Gomez landing a cooking show on HBO Max. According to the LA Times, the show will be unscripted and will follow the amateur chef Selena on her road to become a culinary whiz by working at the hand of some great master chefs ? all from the comfort of her locked down home.
Singer and actress Selena Gomez is bringing a quarantine cooking show to HBO Max this summer.
Announced Tuesday, the as-yet-untitled series, starring and executive produced by Gomez, will air 10 episodes of ?unapologetically authentic? cooking alongside a rotating cast of master chefs who will join remotely.
?I?ve always been very vocal about my love of food,? Gomez said in a statement. ?I definitely don?t have the formal training though! Like many of us, while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.?
?We are so excited to have Selena Gomez in our first wave of programming on HBO Max and watch her adventures in the kitchen as she, like many of us, tries to improve her cooking skills during quarantine,? said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max.
?Blending her determination with top-tier culinary artists is sure to entertain and educate viewers about something we?re all trying to work through ? how to make cooking at home exciting, fun and delicious.?
[From the Los Angeles Times]
So it?s a 10-episode quarantine show. Selena will be in her kitchen and famous chefs will video-chat with her. I wonder if they will be cooking and Selena will follow them, or will she cook, and they comment on her technique? And exactly what ?master chefs? are weighing in on her attempts? Is Gordon Ramsay going to rip apart her cacciatore? Or is Rachel Ray going to cheerlead from an iPad about Selena?s penne arrabbiata? I guess it could be entertaining. I?m sure it will offer many home chefs tips they don?t have access to. I guess I am still hung up on why Selena is heading this project. I don?t think I?ve ever heard her talk about food, despite how ?very vocal? she?s been about it. However, no one is asking for my recommendations to host this so sure, it?s Selena?s gig. She wants to learn how to be a better cook and got HBO to pay for her lessons ? well done. And as she mentioned, Ill bet shes got a good playlist going during each episode.
I can see the need for more cooking at home shows given the world?s newfound (or re-found) love for it so I?m sure the suits in charge are just capitalizing on a trending niche. Also entering the cooking-at-home fray is Amy Schumer, who was given her own at home cooking show on the Food Network. The first episode airs next Monday. Amy?s show is also about teaching the untrained to cook, in this case, Amy is the untrained and her husband Chris Fischer is the chef. Looking at the teaser for the first episode, it looks like Chris and their nanny shoot the show with a handheld video camera and Amy is mainly there to provide entertainment. Again, it?s a cute premise and I?m sure it will have its moments. I?m just surprised that these shows were picked up by HBO Max and Food Network, they sound better suited for YouTube.

| NASA confirms Tom Cruise will make a movie on the International Space Station | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Tom Cruise is known for going all in on his films, whether it?s some dramatic physical transformation, not cutting the action after he broke his ankle or doing all his own, insane stunts. And all of that provides a certain ?Ah!? factor when watching his movies. The problem is, it gets harder and harder to top yourself. Like after Tom scaled the largest building in the world, where does he go from there? Well, the answer is: space. Space is where he goes next. Deadline broke the news Tuesday:
I?m hearing that Tom Cruise and Elon Musk?s Space X are working on a project with NASA that would be the first narrative feature film ? an action adventure ? to be shot in outer space. It?s not a Mission: Impossible film and no studio is in the mix at this stage but look for more news as I get it. But this is real, albeit in the early stages of liftoff.
There has never been a leading man (Jackie Chan might dispute this) who puts himself at risk as often as does Cruise, in the name of the most realistic action sequences possible. If he is successful shooting a project in Musk?s space ship, he will be alone in the Hollywood record books. Stay tuned.
[From Deadline]
That was all the information we got. There is some film, whose plot has not been released, Tom Cruise is attached to it and it was being filmed in space. We don?t know if the whole film takes place in space or only a portion. We don?t know why Tom or anyone else is in space. We don?t know if it will be about exploring the next frontier or looking for Xenu. We can assume it will be an action film, but we don?t actually know that, yet. But none of that mattered because when Twitter got ahold of this information, they ran with it, as you can imagine:
I fully trust Christopher McQuarrie and his crew not to kill Tom Cruise but cannot say the same about Elon Musk https://t.co/I1gdexLjbB
