I will never understand why some of y?all insist on bringing such negative energy to the Bennifer Revival. At best, the Bennifer Revival is harmless, fun gossip. At worst, their kids are mad at their parents and it?s none of our damn business! Like, that?s it. It will likely end in tears and drama, but even then, that?s why we?re watching! I hope Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez beat all of the odds and they?re together for years and years. I want to see them at all of the Oscars from now on! I want them at the Met Gala every year! What?s kind of great about the revival is that, so far, Ben is playing along with her shtick. They?re getting tons of attention but it?s no longer about Gigli punchlines and matching orange fake-tans. And Ben wants to keep authentic:
Ben Affleck feels protective of his rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez. A Hollywood insider tells PEOPLE in this weeks issue that the Gone Girl star, 51, has found someone who truly loves her for her.
Ben wants to protect what they have, adds the insider. And 17 years after breaking off their engagement, the couple are madly in love, the insider says.
A source close to Lopez and Affleck says the actor is very happy with Lopez and that shes wonderful for him.
They want to do everything they can to make this work, adds a Lopez source.
Of the connection between the Hustlers star and two-time Oscar winner, the Lopez source says: Even though their split many years ago was devastating for Jennifer, she has never had a bad word to say about Ben.
[From People]
Ben wants ?to protect what they have? is Ben telling J.Lo to ease up on the speculation that they?ll get married in a month and they?ll be together forever. He?s saying, we?re great, we?re fine, you don?t have to advertise our love. Or is that what he wants people to think? Because they have been advertising their love. And its been glorious and fun. But yes, this is the Affleck push-pull he loves the attention, but he hates that he loves the attention. He loves J.Lo but hates that she loves him.

| Dolly Parton releases her first fragrance, says it smells 'like heaven' | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Dolly Parton continues to prove that not only is she a savvy philanthropist but that she still got it. Dolly gave $1 million to Moderna for research for the COVID vaccine. Dolly also recreated her Playboy cover shoot to celebrate her her husband Carl Thomas Deans 79th birthday. Now Dolly is stepping into the world of beauty. Specifically, she is launching her first signature fragrance for HSN called Scent From Above. Dolly said the fragrance smells heavenly and that she wanted to make something that was a combination of several scents. According to Dolly the scent is both soft and feminine but also long wearing. Dolly also released a theme song for her scent called Sent From Above. Below are a few more details via People:
The 9 to 5 singer made her first foray into fragrance with the debut of Scent from Above, available now exclusively at HSN.com in a spray ($59), rollerball ($20) and body cream ($30).
I wanted it to smell like heaven, kind of soft and cloud-like, Parton tells PEOPLE exclusively of the fragrance, which combines notes of mandarin, peony blossoms, jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood, musk, patchouli, and more. Thats why we call it Scent from Above! I thought that was a real good name for it.
She had strong opinions about what the fragrance should be: Not one of those perfumes that when you wake up in the middle of the night ? its too strong, it almost keeps you awake, she said.
Instead, I like it to smell soft and feminine. But I like it to last too. I like it to be where its like, Ooh, what is that? I love that, she said. I like it to smell just like something you would want to wear. This one you feel like youre laying on a cloud. It smells good!
Instead of finding one scent she loves and making it her signature, Parton says shes always been someone who combines different perfumes.
People used to follow me around all through the years saying, What are you wearing? It smells so good. I said, Well, its a whole lot of different things, so well just call it Dolly.
[From People]
I read the ingredients for Dollys perfume and it is right up my alley. I love woodsy, spicy and sweet scents. Fragrances with complicated and layered notes are my jam. And I am not mad that Dolly is selling her fragrance exclusively on HSN or that she wants to make several fragrances. Having her first fragrances sold exclusively through HSN will make it easier for those with limited incomes in the U.S. to purchase. I am sure they will be allowed to purchase it on a payment plan (old school I know, but it works). I feel like I can imagine what Dolly would smell like if I hugged her by reading the notes in Scent From Heaven. While I understand why Dolly decided to go the route of the Home Shopping Network for her first fragrance, I hope Dollys subsequent fragrances have a wider distribution. I believe everyone should have a little piece of Dollys fabulousness in their lives. If Dollys fragrance was created with the same thoughtfulness as her music then I am sure it will be a hit across generations. I look forward to trying it out.
I?ve been counting down the days until the release of ?Dolly Scent From Above? for many months! @people has all the details! https://t.co/SafqJGA525 https://t.co/naRuMhBDEw

| Scarlett Johansson sued Disney for breach of contract over Black Widow's release | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Black Widow was released on July 9th. That was the day the film premiered in movie theaters around America. Disney which owns Marvel decided to do the pandemic option for Black Widow, meaning that if people wanted to pay the extra $29.99 for Premiere Access on top of their Disney Plus subscription, they could watch Black Widow from the comfort of their homes (or phones, or whatever). While Black Widow premiered at #1 at the box office, the weeks-long box office thus far has been a lot lower than predicted for a Marvel movie with a beloved franchise star. As of this writing, BW has made $157 million domestically and $160 million internationally. No slouch, but Marvel is used to crossing $500 million for any and all movies, and Marvel films regularly cross $600-700 million or more. They were clearly testing out the streaming option, given that there are many people who don?t feel comfortable returning to movie theaters. But! That means that Marvel and Disney were actually in breach of Scarlett Johansson?s contract. And she?s suing them.
Disney?s decision to release ?Black Widow? on Disney Plus at the same time it hit theaters has sparked a legal battle with Scarlett Johansson, the actress tasked with playing the Marvel superhero. In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, attorneys for Johansson allege that the star?s contract was breached when the studio opted not to debut the film exclusively in theaters, a move they claim depressed ticket sales for the Avengers spinoff. Much of Johansson?s compensation was tied to the box office performance of ?Black Widow? ? if it hit certain benchmarks, bonuses would kick in.
?Disney intentionally induced Marvel?s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel,? the suit reads.
Shortly after Black Widow?s debut, the National Association of Theatre Owners, the industry?s main trade organization, asserted the simultaneous release of ?Black Widow? in theaters and on streaming ?costs Disney money in revenue per viewer over the life of the film.? However, the suit notes that Disney?s stock rose after the company disclosed the rental figures.
?Disney chose to placate Wall Street investors and pad its bottom line, rather than allow its subsidiary Marvel to comply with the agreement,? the suit reads. ?To no one?s surprise, Disney?s breach of the Agreement successfully pulled millions of fans away from the theatres and toward its Disney+ streaming service.?
The Wall Street Journal, which broke the news of the lawsuit, reports that sources close to Johansson estimate that the decision to release the film concurrently on Disney Plus resulted in $50 million in lost bonuses?. If successful, Johansson?s suit could embolden more actors to seek additional compensation for films that migrated to streaming services and may lead to agents including stricter language in contracts regarding compensation if an exclusive theatrical release is compromised or bypassed. Johansson?s attorneys suggested that her suit could be a precedent setter.
?It?s no secret that Disney is releasing films like Black Widow directly onto Disney Plus to increase subscribers and thereby boost the company?s stock price ? and that it?s hiding behind Covid-19 as a pretext to do so,? John Berlinski, an attorney for Johansson, said in a statement to Variety. ?But ignoring the contracts of the artists responsible for the success of its films in furtherance of this short-sighted strategy violates their rights and we look forward to proving as much in court. This will surely not be the last case where Hollywood talent stands up to Disney and makes it clear that, whatever the company may pretend, it has a legal obligation to honor its contracts.?
[From Variety]
There?s a lot going on and Scarlett is actually making a good point with her lawsuit, and she?s not thinking of merely her own bottom line. It would be one thing if her sole argument was that she was being cheated out of backend bonuses. Her lawsuit makes the point that Disney not only cheated her out of her backend bonus, they did it to add even more subscribers to Disney?s streaming services. Disney is making money off of her, Disney?s stockholders are making money off of her, so why isn?t she getting paid? It?s a good point.
Included in the lawsuit: emails to and from Scarlett, her management and Marvel where she shared her concerns for months that Marvel and Disney would screw up the theatrical release by releasing the film on their streaming service. She has receipts! And she has a point. A point which is easier for her to make considering she?s completely fulfilled her Marvel contract. Scarlett-as-BW is done, she?s not under contract to make any more movies with the studio. Which makes it easier for her to burn that bridge with this lawsuit, which (make no mistake) is exactly what she?s doing.
Hours after the news of Scarlett?s lawsuit came out, Disney finally released a statement and whew, boy. Disney?s statement: ?There is no merit whatsoever to this filing. The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney has fully complied with Ms. Johansson?s contract and furthermore, the release of ?Black Widow? on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20 [million] she has received to date.? LMAO, that was so harsh. They really said ScarJo doesnt care about people dying from Covid!!!

| Dean McDermott wants to file for divorce from Tori Spelling but can't afford it | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Last month we heard that the end was nigh for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. That wasn?t exactly explosive news given that the Spelling/McDermott union has been in trouble before. But the clues leading up to a split this time are slightly more damning. Instead of fabricated affairs or staged fights and wellness checks, these were less splashy, but made more of a statement. The first hint of trouble was when Tori left Dean off the family Christmas card. Even in attempting to make it look okay, she told us it wasn?t. The one that caught my attention was when both neglected to publicly mention their 15-year anniversary in any way. Both got papped without their rings and Tori let it be known they weren?t sleeping in the same room. Now Tori has dropped ?wife? from her Instagram bio. So, if they?re split, why not just announce it properly and move on? I guess the famously in arrears couple can?t afford it. According to The Sun, Dean came home from his last job expecting to finally take his marriage off life support and found a big stack of bills waiting for him instead.
DEAN McDermott ?wants to file for divorce? from Tori Spelling but ?can?t afford the expensive split? right now, a source exclusively told The Sun.
Dean, 54, and Tori, 48, have not been seen together in months, sparking rumors the pair have split- but a source told The Sun that while Dean wants to file- he just cant afford it.?
?Tori and Dean are totally stuck together right now. Neither of them can afford to go through divorce proceedings.?
Their financial burden is significant.
The source noted: ?They have five kids and a ton of pets, and added on top of the expenses Their home is always a disaster- its just a total mess.?
The insider added: ?Right now divorce isnt on the horizon because they cant swing it financially. They are in a living nightmare.?
A source previously told The Sun that when Dean was working on projects in Canada recently that He was happy to be going away and he was ready to be done with his marriage when he returned.?
When Dean got back from his trip he was greeted with ?bills that had piled up. And a lot of those bills are in part because they have so many pets.?
The source added that not only are the pets expensive, but they create ?a huge mess. It?s just another thing they fight about.?
[From The Sun]
Wait, so this is their pets fault? Unfortunately I asked myself: how many animals could Tori possibly have? I found this Tori Tried and True from 2019 in which she said they had dogs (to which they have added since), bearded dragons, a guinea pig, chickens, pigs and she was talking about getting a goat. And all of those are multiples, except for the guinea pig but that?s only because the mother killed the babies. But the ?huge mess? the Sun article referred to isn?t just normal shedding and animal toys strewn about, Tori admitted on the video that all these pets pee in her house. She even confessed that Dean doesn?t know how bad it really is. No wonder Dean?s stressed to go home. And as broke as they are they?ve added more pets? I?m angry at both the family and the rescue organizations for that kind of irresponsibility.
If lack of funds is the only reason these two have to stay together, that?s sad. We know how bad they are with paying off their debts and sorting out their financials. If they need to zero out their balances in order to split, they?ll be forced together for a long time. And they can?t afford separate households, so they?re stuck together under one roof as the tension mounts between them. It?s not like the kids aren?t going to pick up on that. I wonder how long before Tori convinces her mother to bail her out of marriage number two? Dean won?t get a dime, not that he deserves any. But he may not care at this point. He may just want some clean socks and a little peace and quiet.
