I don’t tend to do many posts on Jenna Dewan, mostly because I can’t remember if she’s an actress or a dancer or just a professional MILF or what. But I just happened to come across her Instagram while doing some, uh, “research” and holy sh%t! Clearly, I should be following her and that booty […]

| Ben Affleck to donate all residuals from Weinstein movies | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Yesterday we reported on quotes Ben Affleck gave the Associated Press during his promotional duties for Justice League, out this week. Affleck said that he was ?looking at? his ?own behavior,? that he wanted to be ?part of the solution? to harassment and assault in Hollywood and that we needed to have more women in power. Also, I missed the fact that there is video of Affleck?s brief comments. That?s below and here are his full comments from the video.
It?s a terrible thing and it?s happening on a scale that I don?t think anybody except maybe women understood and recognized how terrible it was. It?s opening a lot of people?s eyes to this. For me that means also looking at my own behavior and addressing that and making sure that I?m part of the solution and making positive steps. We?re calling out other guys when we?re seeing behavior that?s inappropriate.
Two things need to happen. One more women need to be pushed to power so that women feel comfortable coming forward and having someone to report to. Two it can?t just be a woman?s issue. It?s got to be a men?s issue as well.
I would question why he hasn’t more fully acknowledged his own behavior toward women, but at least it’s a start. Another good start for Ben is the fact that he’s pledged to donate all residuals from his Weinstein films to charity. Remember when Ben?s buddy, director Kevin Smith, did this and how emotional and powerful his statement about it was? Here’s what Ben said, and note that he said it after the journalist asked about it.
Fox 5: Kevin Smith is going to be donating his future residuals of his movies that he made under Weinstein to the women in film. I just wanted to get your thoughts on that.
Affleck: It?s funny that you mention that because once Kevin suggested that I decided to do the same thing. Any further residuals I get from a Miramax or Weinstein movie will go either to Find or to RAINN. One is Film Independent and another is a women?s organization. I just don?t want to cash any more checks from the guy. It was Kevin?s idea and I hope it catches on. Some people can?t afford to give all their residuals away but even if you?re giving 10% that?s something.
[From Fox 5 DC]
Ben is not Kevin Smith, he?s not an open person and he?s not emotionally demonstrative. He wants to seem mysterious and not be too revealing or vulnerable but he gives himself away in how he tries to control his image. That said, it?s wonderful that he?s donating all the residuals from his Miramax films. Just look at all the film credits he has at Miramax, there are 17 films there including of course Good Will Hunting, Shakespeare in Love and Gone Baby Gone. It?s just interesting to me that he waited to announce this until he was promoting this film. It?s also interesting that the journalist brought it up first, but as I always say I don?t think there are unscheduled questions in interviews with Ben Affleck.
Affleck?s original interview where he said he has to examine his own behavior.
Affleck’s follow up interview where he said he would donate residuals from his Weinstein films. That?s at 2:00

| Johnny Depp's ex-managers are trying to foreclose on his five LA properties | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Bankruptcy law makes my eyes cross, and details on the ins and outs of foreclosures give me a headache. So if you?re anything like me, you just want to know the broad strokes. Here are the broad strokes: Johnny Depp is broke-ass-broke. His ex-managers gave him a $5 million loan to stay afloat in December 2012. Those are the same ex-managers who are now being sued by Johnny Depp, because he says they defrauded him of millions of dollars. The ex-managers say that Depp is a drunk scarf monster who blows all of his money on art and wine and real estate. Well, long story short, the ex-managers want their $5 million loan back and they?re willing to take Depp?s real estate holdings to get it.
Nearly a year after Johnny Depp and his former business managers start throwing accusations and betrayals at each other in court over millions in the seemingly spendthrift actor?s troubled finances, The Management Group on Monday filed an ?action for judicial foreclosure? against the Pirates of the Caribbean star. Aiming for the heart of what started the lawsuits flying back in January when the actor went after TMG in a $25 million fraud suit, the move Monday is to force a sale of five Los Angeles properties owned by Depp run trusts. Those sales are part of a larger play to repay a $5 million loan TMG made to the strapped actor in December 2012.
?TMG agreed to come to the aid of its long-time client,? the complaint filed in LA Superior Court today said of a pressing and due City National Bank loan that Depp had no way of meeting and his ex-biz managers got a ?pass-through? for. ?The idea behind this arrangement, which was designed to save Depp from a public and devastating financial collapse, was that Depp would pay TMG what TMG was required to pay CNB under the loan,? the non-jury trial seeking document adds of the company and its 17-year long client?s deal.
?At least at the time, Depp and his sister, personal manager, and the president of his production company, (Elisa Christi) Dembrowski, were very grateful to TMG for coming to Depp?s aid and helping him to avoid a public financial collapse,? TMG?s lawyers Michael Kump and Suann MacIsaac assert. ?In fact, three years later, Depp used the fact that TMG had lent him money to pressure his long-time agent, United Talent Agency, to guarantee a further multi-million dollar loan from Bank of America,? the duo declare.
These sort of foreclosure actions usually move through the courts faster than most matters and, if a judgment is found in Depp?s disfavor, could see the Sheriff or a marshall snagging the properties within a year and selling them to pay the loan Depp has apparently decided not to.
[From Deadline]
Depp didn?t offer a comment on Deadline?s story – perhaps because the trade papers seem to be lining up against him – but his lawyer did go to People Magazine to issue a statement, saying: ?Today?s improper foreclosure action is the latest of the Mandels? efforts to intimidate Mr. Depp into dropping his lawsuit.? The lawyer said the ex-managers won?t get Depp?s homes and ?We will move for sanctions for this latest publicity stunt.? Is it a publicity stunt or do these ex-managers just want their $5 million loan back? These Depp-financial stories are getting messier and messier.

| Gabrielle Union tried to cure a yeast infection by putting yogurt up there | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

People Magazine has a new story with alternative medical advice from a celebrity, complete with advice from a gynecologist, that genuinely surprised me. It didn’t faze me that a celebrity was giving homegrown medical advice, that happens all the time. What I found interesting is the fact that the advice was at worst benign and at best could be helpful. I’ve heard before that you can treat a vaginal yeast infection with natural (not flavored!) yogurt, applied internally. I thought that this was one of those home remedies that you shouldn’t try and that could ultimately hurt you. Gabrielle Union said that she did this, she didn’t say whether it worked, and an actual Yale medical school gynecologist whom People consulted confirmed that it’s not a bad treatment but may be ineffective, especially compared to antifungal over the counter treatments. Well damn.
?I ended up in a situation where I had a yeast infection, and I didn?t want to go to CVS to buy Monistat,? Union told Unstyled, Refinery 29?s fashion podcast. ?I called my girlfriend, who always has an answer for everything, and she was like, ?Go get yogurt and then you?re gonna just put the yogurt up your vagina.? ?
Union said she picked up some vanilla-flavored yogurt, then got to work applying it?with little success. ?It?s not going in, it?s just slapped on the outside, which is providing a bit of relief, but I need to get it in there,? she recalled. So she called back her friend, who recommended using a straw from a local fast-food joint as a makeshift applicator.
Union didn?t say whether the yogurt worked. So we decided to ask a gynecologist if yogurt really can cure a yeast infection, or at least ease symptoms, such as itching and burning.
While an over-the-counter antifungal cream or prescription oral med are the preferred methods of treatment for a yeast infection, yogurt does seem to offer at least temporary relief, says Mary Jane Minkin, MD, clinical professor in the department of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at Yale Medical School. ?A yeast infection is an overgrowth of yeast, and the good-guy bacteria in yogurt, the lactobacilli, maintain an acidic environment, which makes it hostile for yeast to grow.?
However, she cautions, the strain of bacteria that?s native to the vagina may be different from the strain in your favorite yogurt. If that?s the case, the yogurt may not help much after all. Since there?s no way to tell which brand is best suited to your body, at least make sure you?re buying a yogurt with live cultures, or you won?t get any yeast-fighting benefits, says Dr. Minkin. Opt for an unflavored variety too.
Flavored yogurts, especially fruity ones with jellies or jams, can be packed with sugar, and sugar can fuel the growth of vaginal yeast, she adds.
To keep the mess minimal, apply the yogurt internally rather than externally on the vulva. To do so, a makeshift applicator like Union?s straw isn?t a terrible idea, Dr. Minkin says, ?although it might scratch you, whereas other applicators are smoother.? You can actually purchase vaginal suppository applicators online (like this 15-pack for $12 at Amazon) or at a pharmacy, she says, and simply fill the applicator with yogurt.
If an applicator isn?t available, coating your finger with yogurt before inserting it into your vagina works just fine too. You can also dab a little yogurt on a tampon and insert it that way, as Health?s medical editor Roshini Raj, MD, has previously recommended.
Your most mess-free option for yeast infection relief might be to regularly eat yogurt. Delivering those lactobacilli to your gut can help ward off future infections, Dr. Minkin says?and you?ll get some protein and calcium while you?re at it…
?If it works, great! If not, at least you haven?t hurt yourself,? Dr. Minkin says.
[From People]
Kudos to People for doing the leg work on this one and getting a gynecologist’s advice. Honestly I eat too much sugar, I’m pretty addicted to the stuff because Jelly Bellies are amazing, and that leads to yeast infections. (This is why I blog anonymously you guys, I like to talk about my embarrassing health and relationship problems and dish about my friends.) It’s never occurred to me to try the age-old method of applying yogurt to my lady parts, but I’m slightly more likely to try it now that I’ve read this story. (Like ever so slightly, it’s still doubtful that I’ll give it a chance.) When you can go to the drugstore and pay $9 for a three day treatment that will surely cure it, why mess around with yogurt? However when you have the stuff in your fridge, don’t feel like driving to CVS and there’s a spare Wendy’s straw still in the wrapper in the back of your silverware drawer, why not? It’s not going to hurt you at least, which is more than you can say for using Jade instead of kegel weights.

| Angelina Jolie in a sweater dress & ankle booties: super-cute or not so much? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Since everyone seems to enjoy talking about Angelina Jolie?s fashion these days, please enjoy these photos of Angelina over the weekend. She attended an event for the Directors Guild of America, a guild of which she is a member. I assume this was some kind of screening or Oscar-voter event. There?s no real dress code for that kind of thing – it?s just a screening, not a premiere, and celebrities and directors generally just wear something professional-looking, like a suit or a conservative dress. Angelina chose to do something rare (for her) these days: a chunky sweater minidress and a ankle booties. I like the sweater dress just fine – it?s black and sacky and that?s why she chose it. But the ankle booties? HATE. I always hate them, on any and every woman though. I just don?t think they?re comfortable or flattering. Still, this is a cute, ?youthful? look for Jolie. I feel like her kids might be styling her these days.
Of all the Oscar campaign hustlers out there this year, Angelina is one of the top hustlers, right up there with Margot Robbie and Armie Hammer. Angelina is really working for a Best Foreign Film Oscar nomination for First They Killed My Father. Will it work? Perhaps. The better question is: if it doesn?t work, will people say that Angelina is not respected in Hollywood? Will they say that Brad Pitt ?won? Hollywood in their divorce? That?s what worries me, that people are putting too many expectations on what all of this will mean.
Angelina also sat down with Deadline for their ?Contenders? series, which is just Oscar hype too. You can read Jolie?s Deadline thing here – she doesn?t say anything new, but it?s still rather interesting.

| Ivanka Trump's big sexual harassment speech in Tokyo was sparsely attended | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Before Donald Trump flew to Hawaii and then onto Japan for a 12-day Asian tour, Ivanka Trump flew to Japan. She flew out last week, perhaps to ?soften the ground? for her father, and perhaps because Ivanka is quite popular in Japan, at least that?s what her press office would have you believe. We?re supposed to believe that Japan adores Princess Complicit and that she was going to be overwhelmed by fanatics wherever she went during this Asian tour. It turned out to be quite different on the ground though.
Attendance was low for Ivanka Trump?s speech on women?s empowerment on Friday in Tokyo, despite her glamorous initial arrival, which included a luxurious dinner (and the media in tow). In what has become something of a pattern for the Trumps, a White House spokesperson had to justify the lackluster crowd size at the event (or ?pull a Spicer?), this time saying that security measures had delayed audience members.
For those who did hear her speech to the World Assembly for Women, Trump said that sexual harassment in the workplace ?can never be tolerated,? and that ?all too often, our workplace culture fails to treat women with appropriate respect.? That statement provoked some outrage, considering that her father, President Donald Trump, was recorded saying about women: ?Grab ?em by the p–sy. [When you?re a star] you can do anything.?
Wouldn?t zero tolerance mean that a man who has espoused a gross misunderstanding of consent, and against whom some 12 women have alleged sexual harassment, should be barred from the highest office of the United States? Ivanka?s exploitative, hollow touting of feminism continues to wear thin, even on the other side of the world. A survey last month found that less than 25 percent of the Japanese population believes that President Trump will ?do the right thing in world affairs.? Why would Ivanka be any different?
Perhaps the attendance was low due to another area of disconnect between Ivanka?s messaging and her actions: Trump, whose clothing brand has factories in China and Indonesia, addressed her father?s proposed tax changes, which she claimed would ?put more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans.”
Officials moved the crowd several rows forward, so that it would not be obvious how empty the room was for Trump?s speech. Though her spokesperson said that there was a security delay, writers from The Guardian reported that they arrived 10 minutes before the address was to start and saw no lines of people waiting to get inside.
[From Vogue]
Thank you, Japanese people, for not buying what Ivanka is selling. Ivanka giving a lecture on zero tolerance for sexual harassment is? well, cognitive dissonance at its finest.
Also: just in case anyone was wondering, Ivanka was still using her personal email account after she was officially employed by the White House. BUT HER EMAILS. LOCK HER UP.

| Blake Lively is playing a 'spy' & the role involves wigs and no lipstick | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Sarah at Cinesnark/LaineyGossip referred to Blake Lively as our new ?B-movie queen,? and I find that rather fitting. In another era, and in a parallel universe where Blake had less hustle and wasn?t married to Ryan Reynolds, she would be in Lifetime movies. But since she?s the queen of the hustle and she?s A-list by marriage, she gets to star in movies. At some point, she just stopped trying to do ?important work? in smaller roles in more prestigious films. Now she?s only doing starring, lead roles in small-budget B-movies. And it works for her.
These are photos of Blake filming The Rhythm Section in Dublin this week. Some sites have claimed that Blake is playing a homeless woman. I suspect that?s being said because of the busted wig and the clothes, although I?ve never seen anyone homeless wear such a well-cut coat or ?ugly? sweatpants that drape so flatteringly. Blake is not doing ?homeless cosplay.? She?s playing Stephanie Patrick, a woman ?pushed over the edge by the violent deaths of her family, [who] survives only by taking other identities.? From the Amazon description of the book (the source material for the script):
Stephanie Patrick?s world was destroyed by the Atlantic aircrash. Falling into a downward spiral of prostitution, drugs and drink, she is picked up by a journalist who has discovered that it was a bomb that caused the crash. And it is his murder that pulls her out of herself.
The Rhythm Section is not a thriller about the hunt for a terrorist, although that is the path Stephanie takes, and it?s not a story about revenge, although justice for her family is her initial motivation. Rather, The Rhythm Section is the story of Stephanie?s attempt to reclaim herself. She has to rediscover who she is through a series of roles that she is forced to play; she is never herself. As a prostitute, she is Lisa, the chemical blonde. Later, she is Petra Reuter, German anarchist turned mercenary terrorist. Sometimes, she is Marina Gaudenzi, a Swiss businesswoman, or she?s Susan Branch, an American student, or Elizabeth Shepherd, an English management consultant.
[From Amazon]
Stephanie (a terrible spy name) ends up being recruited by a spy agency and she falls in love or something. This sounds like an excuse for Blake to try to do different accents (GOOD LUCK) and wear a lot of wigs. It sounds like Alias mixed with Atomic Blonde mixed with? like, James Bond, or something. It?s going to be a mess. But hey, someone has to do it. Why not Blake?
Ryan teased her on Instagram too:
