Jennifer Lopez has already been on set, filming Hustlers for the past week. It?s filming in New York, and is the true story of a group of strippers who basically masterminded a plan to rob many of their rich clientele. Jennifer was joined on set yesterday by her kids, Alex Rodriguez, and either Jennifer?s nieces or Alex?s daughter. I think A-Rod was the one who organized this outing with the kids, and that they?d all go to the set to visit Jennifer.
Jennifer looked very happy that A-Rod was there with Emme and the girls. Jen also seemed especially glad to see the paparazzi documenting their family outing too. Gee, I wonder why? Is it because yesterday, we heard the sordid story of Alex allegedly hitting up a Playboy model just weeks before he proposed to Jennifer? The idea that A-Rod is a compulsive cheater is nothing new or particularly notable. What is notable is that Jennifer seems okay with just doing the most to convince us that there?s nothing to see here but an A-list couple and their happy family.
After Jennifer was done with work, she and Alex took Emme out to dinner at Polo Bar too, and it was another cute pap stroll go here to see those photos. Jennifer is so delightfully old-school about these photo-ops. I can?t hate her for it. Even though I think this posts headline will be evergreen!

| Emily Ratajkowski confirms that her husband hasn't paid rent on their NYC loft | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Several weeks ago, there was a weird story going around the New York gossip media. Emily Ratajkowski married Sebastian Bear-McClard last year, after only dating him for about a month (tops). She moved in with him at his Noho loft. The story going around was that Sebastian an independent film producer was not paying his rent on the loft, and that he and Emily were basically indigent tenants living rent-free in a spacious loft for no real reason. Sebastian apparently owes more than $120K in back-rent, only he?s claimed protection under the Loft Law:
Filmmaker Sebastian Bear-McClard, who?s worth an estimated $12 million, has allegedly stiffed the landlord out of $120,000 for the unit at 49 Bleecker St. since 2017, claiming protection under the state?s Loft Law, a building rep said.
?Here is a prime example, in prime NYC real estate, where an uber-wealthy celebrity couple and tenant can take advantage and exploit a law that was intended for truly struggling artists and low-income families in need of affordable housing,? said Carolyn Daly, spokeswoman for a coalition of loft building owners that includes 49 Bleecker. Bear-McClard, 31, who married ?Blurred Lines? music-video dancer Ratajkowski, 27, last year, has subletted the 1,100 square-foot pad on the second floor of the former manufacturing building since 2013, court records show. After his lease expired in 2017, he hasn?t paid a penny of the $4,900 monthly rent since then, claims lease holder Antoni Ghosh in Manhattan Civil Court. Daly said what Bear-McClard currently owes is ?now over $120,000.?
A state law enacted in 1982 prevented landlords from booting artists and other low-income tenants who lived illegally in commercial loft spaces. It said they couldn?t be evicted if their building didn?t have a certificate of occupancy or installed fire and other safety protections. The Bleecker Street building doesn?t have the certificate.
[From The NY Post]
So it was a weird story, and I had no idea that Loft Laws were even a thing. I didn?t know Sebastian and Emily were up to all of that. Well, now, weeks later, Emily has responded to the reporting. She tweeted this:
?Husband is 38, not 31. He?s an independent movie producer so people thinking he?s rich is real nice but not based in fact. He was raised in the neighborhood he lives in now, both of his parents are artists who were priced out of their homes in downtown New York. I moved in w/ him a year ago. I?m proud he?s fighting the good fight against a real estate conglomerate that bought the building he lives in for 40 million and has continued to spread misinformation on its tenants in order to profit. NYC has changed so much and it?s a shame that people who work in creative fields are being moved out of the city.?
[From Emily?s Twitter]
New York real estate drama, I?m glad I don?t have to deal with that. I think all things can be true at once: real estate corporations are trying to price out struggling artists AND Sebastian is kind of an ahole for not paying his rent for years. Oh well.

| Kristin Chenoweth reduced her migraines by cutting back on caffeine and sugar | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristin Chenoweth and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis took place in a conference called the Migraine World Summit. It?s an online summit sponsored by several pharmaceutical companies and other companies treating migraines meant to raise awareness. Both Kristen and Terrell are migraine sufferers, and they described how debilitating and awful it can be. I thankfully don?t get migraines but I have friends who do and it sounds like the worst. Kristin described her first migraine, at the age of 25, and Terrell said that the migraines were so painful when he was a child that he considered suicide. At times he had several migraines a week but hes been careful and hasn?t had a migraine in a year. Kristen said that she?s also been able to reduce the frequency of her migraines but cutting back on sugar and caffeine. A lack of sleep can still trigger them for her.
When she was 25 years old, Chenoweth experienced her first migraine while rehearsing for a show in a room with fluorescent lights in New York.
?I started getting what I call ?kaleidoscope eyes,? ? Chenoweth said during her presentation to the crowd. ?Then, I started getting really nauseous and a pounding headache.?
Four months after her first migraine, Chenoweth was diagnosed. Though she admits migraines have caused her ?to lose some time? in her life, dealing with them now has become easier as she has learned what triggers her.
?[Doctors] told me to avoid sugar and caffeine,? she said. ?The past two years, I really have cut way, way back in that department and I have noticed a difference. The dragon that I keep chasing is sleep. I?m always in a different time zone or on a plane. None of these things are conducive to a person who has a migraine. That?s been my biggest challenge, sleep.?
On top of avoiding sugar and caffeine, Chenoweth says her faith helps.
?Everybody has their own belief, and I encourage and want that,? she said. ?I do take pause and I say, ?Dear God, help me get through this.?
Davis got his first migraine when he was only 9 years old. After finishing football practice, he realized he was having trouble seeing.
?It was staring into the sun and then trying to focus on something,? he explained during the event. ?I remember my heart started pounding because I thought, at the time, I was going to go blind.?
Davis? mom picked him up from practice and as soon as he got home, he started getting a pounding headache.
That headache was so different than any headache I?ve ever had at the time,? he said. ?It was so debilitating, so intense. I didn?t know what had happened at the time or if we would come back or if that was a one time deal.?
The pain at the time was so bad that Davis, 46, remembers having suicidal thoughts.
?I didn?t want to live through that period,? he said. ?Suicide crossed my mind. I didn?t plan it but the only thing I could think of was just ending it. That was my first experience and, subsequently, after that it came back a few weeks later. Sometimes it was weekly, sometimes it was two times a week, three times a week. It was tough to deal with.?
Davis told PEOPLE that he hasn?t had a migraine in the past year.
?Over the years, we started to dial things in and tried to really hone in and we started to be really efficient in how we dealt with this thing,? he said.
[From People]
I can?t imagine what that?s like to randomly have a splitting migraine and not be able to function. One of my friends gets them and all she can do it lay down in a dark room until it passes. Also I?m not a believer but I?ve still prayed like that in dark times for help. Kristin has been open about her faith and that must be a comfort to her. It seems like a lot of things would be helped by cutting out caffeine and sugar. My mom is always telling me to do that but I feel like I have to have some vices. Im so sorry to those of you who have migraines and hope you can get some relief.

| Keira Knightley: We don't give women enough credit for the 'marathon' of motherhood | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Keira Knightley was in New York last week to promote her latest film, The Aftermath. I seem to remember that The Aftermath was originally supposed to come out late last year, possibly for the awards season, but I might be hallucinating that. It?s already been released this month, although it obviously got overshadowed by Captain Marvel and Madea and such. I always feel bad for those costume dramas they deserve more than being dumped in March with a limited release. The Aftermath looked like a typical overwrought WWII-era love story, starring Jason Clarke, Keira and Alex Skarsgard. I was into the trailer.
Anyway, when Keira was promoting the film, she talked a bit about motherhood. Her daughter Edie is three years old, and Edie?s birth marked the big change we see in Keira lately. Keira had some stuff to say about privilege and how difficult motherhood is:
Keira Knightley may be hoping for baby number two soon after praising women for attempting to juggle work and motherhood. The Oscar nominee, wed to musician James Righton, gave birth to daughter Edie in 2015.
Since then, she said: ?I don?t think we give women enough credit for the physical and emotional marathon they go through when becoming a mother. I come from a place of amazing privilege. I have an incredible support system; I?ve been unbelievably lucky in my career; I can afford good childcare, and yet I still find it really f?ing difficult.?
[From Page Six]
I don?t think we give Keira enough credit for recognizing her privilege, talking about it and still using her platform to discuss social inequities, sexism and women?s economic issues. Like, Keira has never been one of those judgy ?if you eat a donut while pregnant, you?re a terrible person? women. She talks about pregnancy and motherhood in a very direct and honest way. She?s never been here to whitewash on those experiences. I love her for that.
Here?s a photo of Keira at the New York premiere of The Aftermath last week. Her gown was Valentino and I HATE IT.

| Courtney Cox: I had a lot of miscarriages. People should be more open about that | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Courteney Cox finally appeared on Busy Tonight last week. I say ?finally? because Busy Philipps explained she?s been trying to get Courteney on for ages. Courteney was on to promote her docuseries on Facebook Watch, 9 Months with Courteney Cox, which follows 10 couples through their pregnancies. The show deals with every aspect of a person?s road to parenthood. This includes infertility, something Courtney knows about and wishes more people were talking about it. As she?s been open about, Courteney had multiple miscarriages before she gave birth to her daughter Coco, 14. I paraphrased her in the headline because her quote was too long for our format, but what she said is important. As Courteney explained to Busy, she kept going because she wanted a baby and she talks about it so others don?t feel so alone.
You were so open about your own fertility struggles and your own pregnancy with CoCo on the show. Was that part of the impetus for why you wanted to get involved with the show?
Well, I just think that I like real human stories and yes, I had a difficult time ? I had a lot of miscarriages. And I don?t think that?s something people shouldn?t talk about because it?s not? it was unfortunate, but it happens and I didn?t want to give up. I just think it?s important to get things out there so people can realize they?re not alone.
I think her fertility struggles affected Courteney deeply, but she speaks more pragmatically about her miscarriages than we are used to hearing. I think that?s important when considering that she said ?I didn?t want to give up.? She?s not saying that people who chose alternative fertility options gave up. Shes saying she made the decision to go on, which was right for her but may not be for everyone. I have friends who did nine attempts at in-vitro before they got pregnant. When I asked (after the babies were born healthy) how they could weather all that, they said they asked each other before every round if they were emotionally ready to accept it if it didn?t work. It really is an individual journey and everyone needs to choose their own path. But, as Courteney said, it helps to hear from others who made the same choices you did. I appreciate that she puts her struggles out there and that she?s working with 9 Months to shed light on so many other fertility conversations.
Busy also mentioned in the segment that Courteney was the first person to ever say ?period? on national television. It was in a Tampax commercial ? in 1985! That?s insane. I wonder what year it will be when they stop using blue water to prove absorbency in feminine hygiene products.
