Homeschooling is like the third-rail for so many education conversations. Let me just say? my mom was a public-school teacher, and that is a huge influence on my perspective on education and homeschooling. I think there are some legitimate reasons for some parents to homeschool, and there are some cases where homeschooling is probably the best option for certain kids. That being said, I do think there are too many homeschooled kids and too many utterly unqualified parents who homeschool their kids out of bigoted, ignorant and/or fundamentalist-Christian reasons. Well, speaking of, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian basically had the most ignorant conversation about their kids? education.
Kourtney Kardashian is not worried about raising bookworms. The ?Kardashians? star ? who shares kids Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with ex Scott Disick and son Rocky, 1, with husband Travis Barker ? revealed that she believes sending children to school is ?so dated.?
?I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is,? Kourtney said on the latest episode of sister Khlo Kardashian?s ?Khlo in Wonder Land? podcast, which dropped Wednesday. ?There?s ways we function as a family that ? it?s like if someone does the same thing every day. Like I do it with everything, it?s not about our family?Like, let?s say the school system. I?ll think, ?Why do kids f?king go to school?? Truly. It?s so dated.?
Khlo, 40, interjected in agreement, saying, ?Oh, I?m such a homeschool person, so don?t even get me going.?
The Poosh founder then said her kids have sent her videos about ?successful people? whose kids never go to school.
?And then I?m like, ?What?s the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let?s do it!? Or whatever it is. I think it?s anything,? she continued.
Kourtney also shared how she chooses to take care of her infant children when they get sick.
?I will, like, nurse the fever of my kids versus giving Tylenol or ibuprofen,? she confessed. ?I just want to do that. And whatever it is, there?s so many things like that where I feel like I kinda do, maybe in the world generally does maybe more what I do, but in the United States [it?s different].?

It really is two dumb bitches telling each other ?exactlyyyy.? And not for nothing, but Kourtney sounds like an anti-vaxxer. She sounds like one of those ?natural? granola-types who preach ?do your own research,? meanwhile their kids can?t even read. The point of sending you kids to school is not only ?educating the future workforce and creating responsible young citizens,? but it?s also about socialization and simply experiencing life beyond your family. These are fundamental concepts which no one should have to explain to a nearly 50-year-old woman with three children! ?What is the point of school? OH MY GOD.

In recent weeks, there?s been a lot of focus on Kim Kardashian?s nascent acting career, as she?s the lead in Ryan Murphy?s latest show, All?s Fair, and she weirdly keeps booking acting jobs. Whenever I saw any kind of update about Kim?s acting career, I always thought ?but what about law school??? Six years ago, Kim announced that she was studying law and doing a makeshift, DIY law school program. We hadn?t gotten an update on her law studies in a while, and I genuinely thought we would eventually get an announcement like ?it was too hard, I give up.? But no Kim has now graduated.
Kim Kardashian has a big reason to celebrate! On Wednesday, May 21, the reality star, 44, revealed she had graduated from her four-year Law Office Study Program in a series of videos shared to her Instagram Stories. The program took Kim six years, instead of four years, to complete due to COVID and work, PEOPLE has learned.
Kim gave fans a glimpse into what appeared to be a backyard graduation ceremony, as her closest friends and family gathered to celebrate the milestone in her legal journey.
I finally graduated law school after six years!!! she wrote over a video of her putting on a graduation cap on stage as speakers congratulated her for her achievements.
Its an absolute honor to stand here today, not just as mentors, but as witnesses to one of the most inspiring legal journeys weve ever seen, Jessica Jackson, one of the attorneys sponsoring Kims education said on stage. Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read.
Over the course of this program, Kim has dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years, Jackson continued. Thats a total of 5,184 hours of legal study, thats time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others.
In a subsequent slide, Kim hugged her mentors as she walked on stage with a certificate of completion in hand. The crowd cheered when she held up the piece of paper and her children could be seen celebrating with her on stage.
CNN political commentator and friend Van Jones also gave a speech in Kims honor, celebrating her accomplishments along the six-year journey.
Kims backyard ceremony was an occasion for the entire family. In addition to her kids, her sisters Khlo Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian Barker were also in attendance and shared how proud they were of all of her achievements.

I?m really interested in the wording around Kim?s graduation and whether or not she actually received a degree or a JD People Mag calls it a ?certificate of completion? and they?re not saying she graduated from law school, but she graduated from a ?Law Office Study Program.? I googled this it sounds like the LOS is considered the equivalent of a JD so does she technically have a JD now? Anyway, congrats to Kim, I really did not think she would stick with the program and complete the program. I genuinely find it inspirational when people go back to school or seek new degrees later in their lives. Be real Kim did not have to do any of this, and her fans would not have judged her if she had given up. I?m sure her father be so proud of her.

Hailey Bieber covers the ?Summer? issue of Vogue Magazine. Once you look through the editorial, you might wonder why in the world Vogue chose THIS shot for their cover. Hailey is, in my opinion, very photogenic and some of the other shots would have made a much better (and more natural) cover. Anyway, this is Hailey?s first major interview since becoming a mother. She gave birth to son Jack last August, and there?s been media chaos ever since. I actually don?t think Hailey and Justin are particularly chaotic, but the energy forced upon them is so weird. Anyway, Hailey spoke to Vogue about childbirth, her marriage, her business and more. Some highlights:
Coming up with Rhode, a billion-dollar business: ?I think from having worked with so many different makeup artists and trying different facialists, estheticians, all these different people. I realized that it doesn?t take much for you to have a good routine, and it doesn?t take much for skin care to be great.? Rhode doesn?t share figures, but Reuters and Business of Fashion reported in April that Hailey was exploring a sale and that Rhode could fetch more than $1 billion. ?I never, ever thought or expected it to turn into this. In my wildest dreams, it?s already gone beyond what I would?ve hoped for.?
She thought she would start a family earlier: ?I was not in a place for that at all?. Now I just think it happens to every person exactly when it?s supposed to. I really, really, really believe that?.The pregnancy was difficult for me to wrap my head around. It was a surprise, and you go through a lot of emotions.?
Childbirth: ?Giving birth was the hardest thing I?ve ever done,? she says, despite having spent nine months diligently prepping. Breathing exercises, acupuncture, yoga, pelvic-floor therapy, workouts, walking, weight training: ?I was on that sh-t. I was doing everything. I felt stronger physically than I ever had before.? But the spontaneous labor she hoped for didn?t happen. She began leaking amniotic fluid at 39 weeks and was induced. The doctors used Pitocin, a medication that provokes contractions, and a Foley balloon, in which a catheter-?like device is inserted into the uterus and inflated with saline to get the cervix to dilate: It?s a famously uncomfortable combination. ?That sh-t was so crazy. That was not fun. They broke my water. I went into labor and I labored for a few hours. No epidural, nothing.? It was 18 hours from start to finish.
Postpartum hemorrhage: ?I trust my doctor with my life. And so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me. But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind.? In the delivery room, Hailey?s doctors inserted a Jada device, a vacuum apparatus that provokes uterine contractions. It hurt, and no one could guarantee this would stop the bleeding, but she had to endure the treatment for hours. ?I wanted to hold my baby. I wanted to be with him.?
She wants more kids though: She plans to take it ?a kid at a time.? Because things go right too. Your partner suddenly sees you ?like, ?My woman is a god. A superhero. I could never.?? At least that was the case for me.? Says Justin of his family?s expansion from two to three: ?I?m walking in the days I always dreamed of.?
Postpartum: She got a new therapist; she dug into her feelings; she took the placenta pills she was told might help prevent postpartum depression, and has kept taking the prenatal vitamins too. She felt the ?high highs and low lows? and rode the roller coaster of her hormones. It was hard: She didn?t always recognize her body and struggled with postpartum body dysmorphia, ?self-hatred? of a tenor she?d never experienced before, she tells me. At her lowest she would scour cruel online comments for validation, confirmation that she looked as bad as she felt, and then get depressed when she found them, and mad at herself for looking. ?Every day I have to talk to myself, like, Hailey, you had a baby. You grew a human. You birthed a human. It?s okay. Give yourself grace. Give yourself time.?
Her marriage is fine: ?It?s not real,? she says of most of what?s written about her. ?And that?s the thing: I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them? Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I?ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult. And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, They?re getting divorced and They?re this and They?re not happy: It is such a mindfk. I cannot even begin to explain it. It?s a crazy life to live.?
Hailey says her haters can die mad: ?Well, I thought seven years in it would?ve already, and it hasn?t. You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,? she shrugs with a cheesy Who, me? grin: ?So I guess these bitches are going to be mad.?

Hailey does sound different here than her pre-motherhood interviews. She sounds more confident, she sounds more settled and peaceful. I appreciate the fact that she?s admitting that it took a lot of work to get there though, that she had to work on it in therapy and she had to do the work of maturing and preparing and growing. Within the piece, Justin is quoted (he sent an email to Vogue), saying that the smartest decision he ever made was marrying Hailey. She?s a stabilizing force on him, and he adores his wife. And yes, all of the sh-t about ?they?re getting a divorce, he?s so unhappy with her? is goofy as hell. I hope Hailey genuinely feels like her haters are going to be mad no matter what she does, so she should just live her life.

Is David Duchovny a good guy, or is he an agent of sexual and romantic chaos? Or both?? I could never get a handle on it the women in his life have always adored him, he once had to go to rehab for sex addiction, and he seems to flirt with everyone. He?s still tight with his ex-wife Tea Leoni, and I always thought that David and Gillian Anderson had a decades-long friendship and they would eventually figure out that they are soulmates. But here we are. David has apparently married for the second time. He?s been with a much-younger woman for years, and they possibly got married?
David Duchovny has officially tied the knot with girlfriend, Monique Pendleberry, after nearly six years of dating, Us Weekly can confirm. Duchovny, 64, and Pendleberry, 31, previously sparked marriage rumors after the twosome were spotted walking around Malibu on Tuesday, May 20, wearing what appeared to be wedding bands.
The couple reportedly began dating in 2017 and have made rare appearances together throughout the years, including an outing in New York City in September 2024, a Los Angeles Lakers game in January 2024 and a red carpet premiere of Duchovny?s Netflix movie You People in 2023.
Duchovny was previously married to Ta Leoni from 1997 to 2014. The twosome (who briefly split in 2008) share two children: daughter West, 26, and son Kyd, 22. Following their split, Leoni, 59, and the X Files actor remained on friendly terms and continued to coparent their children as they grew into young adults.

Elle Fanning is such a doll! Elle turned up in Cannes to attend the premiere of Sentimental Value. Elle did a Scandi movie! She?s playing an American actress in the film-within-a-film about a dysfunctional Norwegian family. Renate Reinsve is actually the lead, I?m pretty sure you might remember Renate from her absolutely incredible performance in The Worst Person In the World (Sentimental Value sees Renate reteaming with that same director, Joachim Trier). Anyway, it appears that Elle and Renate got along famously when they first saw each other on the red carpet, they practically ran into each other?s arms. Elle is such a girl?s girl!! Elle wore a beautiful Armani Prive gown, and I think Renate?s gown is Louis Vuitton. Apparently, the Cannes audience loved this film & the audience gave them a 15-minute ovation.

There?s a lot of hate for Nicola Peltz Beckham these days. A lot of knives out for the American woman who ?stole? a British prince! Sound familiar? But for what it?s worth, I think Nicola is a savvy operator, especially compared to her husband Brooklyn. The British media is always going to ?blame the woman? in any circumstance, but in this particular case, I think Nicola has always had a pretty good idea of how she and Brooklyn should operate as a celebrity couple. She works as an actress/model/fashionista while he explores food-entertainment and launching his own hot sauce. But they also have a couple-brand, which is greater than the sum of its parts.
Well, it looks like they?ve scored a big win for the couple-brand. Nicola and Brooklyn signed a deal to model for Moncler, and they were in London this week to shoot the ad campaign. As it turned out, they were just a short distance away from David Beckham, who was groveling and simpering to King Charles at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Brooklyn Beckham was in London on Monday shooting for a huge deal with fashion brand Moncler. The Sun reported that Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola, 30, have signed up to be ambassadors of the Italian fashion house.
And while US-based Brooklyn was working for the brand on Monday, he was only a short distance from his dad, David, who was at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The Beckhams have become embroiled in feud speculation in recent weeks, with fans noticing that Brooklyn and his wife have snubbed major milestones on social media and avoided going to family events.
?It?s a huge deal for him. Brooklyn is a great model and knows how to turn it on for the cameras,? a source told the paper.
?Working with Nicola on this campaign is really exciting for Brooklyn too. They love working together and think this Moncler campaign is very chic. But it strikes a chord knowing how close in distance Brooklyn was to David given how tense their relations have been recently. Brooklyn was filming five minutes away by car.?

This is all so reminiscent of all of the times Prince Harry has been in London and Harry?s father and brother make a point of being ?too busy? to meet with him, and then the papers are like ?oh, Harry must be so sad, he was just minutes away from his father!? David Beckham, like King Charles, has made his choices. Those choices include: feeding his son to the tabloids in an effort to exert control over his son?s marriage. Anyway, I hope Nicola and Brooklyn enjoyed their brief visit to London! It?s probably going to be like this for a while.
Also: Page Six?s sources had some different info. Their sources claim that David and Victoria didn?t even know that Brooklyn and Nicola were in London on Monday and Brooklyn ?didn?t reach out? to his parents before or during the trip. An insider said: ?It?s sad, really. David and Victoria didn?t even know Brooklyn was in London. It?s becoming increasingly clear how strained things are behind the scenes.? Hmmm.

Over Christmas, I finally watched the first season of And Just Like That, the decades-later spinoff of Sex and the City. The first season is SO BAD! Really ghastly stuff, with terrible pacing issues and basically no humor. I could totally see how the SATC team wanted this to be a feature film, but then they spun it out into ten agonizing episodes once Kim Cattrall exited that bitch. Well, there?s a second season which I have not watched (and I am unlikely to give it a shot), and the third season will premiere on HBO/Max next week. These are photos from the big premiere event in NYC last night.
Sometimes I get really mad at how Sarah Jessica Parker turned SATC into an exercise in narcissism, centering Carrie?s toxic behavior at the expense of larger storytelling and realistic arcs for the other characters. SJP chose a subdued Vivienne Westwood gown for last night?s premiere. There are so many major Westwood moments in the show, so I get why she chose a Westwood look. Her hair? the color is actually really good right now, but I don?t get her hairstyle.
Other fashion notes: Kristin David wore Rachel Gilbert (a perfect Charlotte dress, honestly) and Cynthia Nixon wore a big Richard Quinn gown. I really like Cynthia?s look! She?s now doing AJLT and The Gilded Age at the same time. Baller. Also: Nicola Ari Parker wore Stella McCartney! I don?t have an ID on Sarita Choudhury but I like her look. Sarita has the most underwritten, underdeveloped character on AJLT. It pissed me off so much.
