She?s best-known for her outrageous Carl?s Jr. commercial, however Charlotte McKinney is much more than a pin-up princess.
The Orlando, Florida native scored her own feature in the June 2015 issue of Vanity Fair, modeling a retro-style one-piece swimsuit for photographer Miguel Reveriego.
Charlotte told VF that she dropped out of high school to pursue modeling, but in the beginning she hit a series of roadblocks- ?People told me, ?You?re five seven, you want to model, and you have ginormous boobs. No one?s going to book you.?

She?s never one to miss out on a fancy fete and last night (May 14) Eva Longoria showed up at the Cannes Film Festival for the Global Gift Gala.
The 40-year-old ?Desperate Housewives? hottie was in fine form as she posed on the red carpet in her metallic gown featuring a plunging neckline and smoky eye makeup.
As the brand ambassador for L?Oreal Paris, Eva will be plugging some new product while in in the South of France and before she jetted out of Los Angeles she posed a photo of her massive luggage cart with the caption, ?Cannes here I come! Less luggage than last year! @lorealparisfr #BecauseWeCannes #CannesXLoreal.?

| Star: Scarlett Johansson hates living in France & it's destroying her marriage | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
From the beginning of Scarlett Johansson?s relationship with Romain Dauriac, it just felt like there was something shady going on. It was weird, because Scarlett could presumably date whomever ? I?m sure she had no lack of potential suitors, and she was never billed (nor did she ever come across) as particularly ?desperate? or ?stupid in love.? Following her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, she dated randoms and Sean Penn, and at first I just thought Romain would be one of those randoms, lasting for a few months and then fading away. But then she started bragging about living in France with him and then she got knocked up and? I guess Romain is sticking around. But the whiff of ?Why are they together?? has stuck around. So this week?s Star Magazine story is very, very interesting?
Scarlett Johansson is the picture of happiness as she promotes Avengers: Age of Ultron, but multiple sources say that behind the scenes, Scarlett is becoming increasingly unhappy in her marriage to Romain Dauriac, whom she wed in October 2014, just one month after giving birth to their daughter. It?s not so much Romain as it is his home country!
?Scarlett?s dream of living in Paris and keeping her Hollywood career going has turned into a bit of a nightmare,? says a long-time pal. ?She?s had a very hard time adjusting to living in France full time. Romain is adamant on staying in Paris, but Scarlett is homesick and miserable. Plus she doesn?t feel as safe there as she does in the US. Now that she has a baby, safety is her first priority.?
[From Star Magazine, print edition]
I think most of Scarlett?s family lives in New York, and from what I understand, Scarlett still maintains a home in New York. She probably has a place in LA too, God knows. She gave birth in New York and stayed in the Hamptons for a few months after baby Rose was born. My point? When has she even really been in ?living? in France? Then again, when Scarlett wants to, she can really fly under the radar, so maybe she?s been in France this whole time. Or is this story just a convenient excuse for why ScarJo and Romain are already kind of over?

| Emma Stone Checks In at Cannes Film Festival Press Conference for 'Irrational Man' | Added 9 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

|
Enjoying some time in the South of France, Emma Stone showed up the 68th Cannes Film Festival on Friday morning (May 15).
The ?Easy A? actress was joined by director Woody Allen and Parker Posey for a press conference ahead of the premiere of the new flick ?Irrational Man.?
Allen told press that he?s not entering ?Irrational Man? in the competition- ?I?ve never had a film in competition in my life. I just don?t feel you can say one film is better than another. Who?s to say some arbitrarily appointed group of judges can decide one is better? Is The Godfather better than Goodfellas, or whatever came out the same calendar year? You don?t make these films to compete. People make films for different reasons. For money. Or, they make them because something in them demands artistic expression. I do it because I enjoy the work. Once a film is over and I see it in this room and we?ve taken it as far as we can go, with no room for improvement? that?s it. It leaves this room and I never see it again ever, for the rest of my life.?

| Natalie Portman signs on play Jacqueline Kennedy in new bio-pic: yay or nay? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Fresh off the news that Natalie Portman would deign to play the Notorious RBG, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, it seems that Portman is going to play yet another iconic American woman: Jacqueline Kennedy. COME ON. To be fair, the Kennedy women ? Jackie in particular ? have been portrayed in films and TV projects alike. I actually thought Jill Hennessy came the closest to looking like Jackie (it was a TV movie). I used to have a Jackie obsession and I read a lot of her biographies, and she definitely had a fascinating and film-worthy life. But Natalie Portman? I?m so not feeling it. And the project will reunite Portman with Darren Aronofsky (side-eye).
Natalie Portman will star as Jackie Kennedy in ?Jackie,? about the first four days in Jackie Kennedy?s life after the assassination of her husband, President John. F. Kennedy, when she lost the love of her life but won the love of a nation. Darren Aronofsky will produce while Pablo Larrain (?No?) directs.
Juan de Dios Larrain of Chile?s Fabula produces with Aronofsky and his partner Scott Franklin at Protozoa Pictures. ?Jackie? goes into production at the end of 2015.
? ?Jackie? talks about the days when Jackie Kennedy becomes an icon but has lost everything,? said Wild Bunch?s Vincent Maraval, who is overseeing Insiders. Aronofsky, who was president of the Berlin festival jury this year, was highly impressed with Larrain?s Berlinale competition entry ?The Club,? which went on to win the fest?s Grand Jury Prize. Portman caught ?The Club? in Paris, and loved it. ?It?s the ?Black Swan? team reunited for Pablo Larrain,? Maraval said.
[From Variety]
??About the days when Jackie Kennedy becomes an icon but has lost everything?? So it will be about the years days immediately following JFK?s assassination. That’s sort of interesting. The years following the assassination have always been difficult for biographers to cover, mostly because it?s widely believed that Jackie was carrying on an affair with Robert Kennedy ? they were united in grief and then some. It?s widely believed that RFK did not approve of Aristotle Onassis?s attempts to woo Jackie, and Jackie only decided to marry Onassis after RFK was murdered. As I said, it?s a rich, complicated story with a lot of potential for a filmmaker. But I?m worried that this version with woman-child Portman as Jackie will end up just a Lifetime-esque sob story about a devastated widow struggling through shock.

Adding to the notion that she can pull off any look, Emily Ratajkowski is featured in The Editorialist's latest edition.
The ?Gone Girl? star wears a series of ensembles evocative of 1970s fashion, styled by Michaela Dosmantes and photographed by Derek Kettela.
In her interview, Emily expresses her desire to go a little deeper in the acting game- ?If I could choose anything for my next movie, it would be someone who has nothing to do with being pretty or attractive. I?d love to play a role that surprises people.?

| Colin Farrell looked really amazing at a Cannes photocall: would you hit it? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
For the most part, my priority with Cannes Film Festival coverage is fashion, which means women get priority over men. But I need to make Colin Farrell the lead of this post, because I kind of have ALL THE FEELS about him. I used to crush on Colin back in the day, when he was a fresh-faced badass new to Hollywood. Then he was a mess, then he got clean, and then he was sort of in hotness limbo for a while. But can we say that Colin is back and better than ever? He looks sooooo good here. These photos are from today?s photocall for The Lobster, a sci-fi rom-com starring Colin, Rachel Weisz and Lea Seydoux. More on them in a moment.
Colin?s appearance at Cannes comes just after a new trailer for True Detective Season 2 debuted. Here you go.
I come away with several things. One, Vince Vaughn really de-bloated for this role, and he looks better than he has in YEARS. Two, I really want Rachel McAdams to be great and for her role to be worthy of her talents. There?s also a rumor flying around pretty heavily nowadays that Rachel McAdams and Colin started hooking up during filming and they?re perhaps in a quiet relationship right now. I wouldn?t mind that at all. I feel like McAdams needs more dirty-fun in her life, and Colin needs someone psychologically stable like McAdams in his life.
I?m also including photos of Rachel Weisz and Lea Seydoux. Rachel?s awesome jumpsuit is Narciso Rodriguez (her favorite designer). Lea wore Prada and she looked sort of pregnant?

| Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen at Cannes: flamenco realness or fug? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some assorted photos from Cannes? Day 2 ? I covered the Mad Max: Fury Road premiere photos in two other posts. These photos are just the stragglers at other events. Salma Hayek was the queen of everything at the late premiere of Tale of Tales, the bizarre-sounding fairy tale movie by an Italian director. Yesterday, I covered the photocall pics ? go here to see. Salma wore Alexander McQueen for both the photocall and the premiere, although I liked her pretty little floral dress at the photocall a lot better than the premiere gown. This McQueen is being called ?flamenco inspired? which I can see. I just don?t think it?s a great dress overall though.
Here?s Salma?s costar Vincent Cassel (that man is The Sex) and Salma?s husband Francois, both at the Tale of Tales premiere.
Miranda Kerr in a David Koma ensemble for a photocall for Magnum Ice Cream. Seriously. Miranda gets paid to go to Cannes and promote ice cream. Sure. This ensemble is cute enough, but the shoes kind of ruin it.
Then Miranda attended an evening red carpet/party, also for Magnun Ice Cream. This Pink Ungaro is pretty, I guess, but Miranda?s bolt-ons were falling out all over the place.

Eva Longoria ? a Cannes regular because of her contract with L?Oreal ? wore this silver Georges Hobeika gown to the Global Gift gala. I kind of like the gown, but Eva is looking? different? Is it Botox? Or just too much makeup?

| Charlize Theron in yellow Dior at Cannes 'Mad Max' premiere: fab or fug' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Charlize Theron brought her boyfriend to the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road. Because they are now that couple. Part of me thinks it?s actually a little bit sweet: Sean Penn is 54 years old and he?s finally found a girlfriend who makes him want to travel halfway around the world just to walk on her arm. I?ve already seen a lot of people compare these photos to the many photos of Brangelina walking the Cannes red carpet over the years. I can kind of see that, although for me the Jolie-Pitts will always be more compelling than Theron-Penns.
The first thing I thought when I saw these photos? Angelina in Ungaro at Cannes in 2007. Remember that? A diva in canary yellow in the South of France ? it works. I would even say that Charlize looks better than Angelina in canary yellow. Charlize?s dress is Dior, of course. I like the back of the gown more than the front ? it feels like the front should look smoother? Why are so many Dior looks these days so poorly tailored? Charlize?s diamond earrings are Chopard. Good earring choice. But Charlize usually accessorizes well.
There was a pronounced lack of Tom Hardy photos actually on the red carpet. Like, he doesn?t seem to have posed solo for very long, but he did go to the steps to pose with the cast. Once again, he sort of looks short next to Charlize. Poor Tom. Still? so very hot.

| Elizabeth Banks covers Allure, picks the theme of her career: 'Girls win.' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Elizabeth Banks is front and center during the promotion of Pitch Perfect 2, which is an interesting choice. Obviously, Banks is a big-name celebrity on her own, but PP2 is her directorial debut and I always worry about the lady directors coming out ahead of their films. Like, I still wonder if Angelina Jolie might have done a disservice to Unbroken by appearing on so many magazine covers and making the film so much about ?La Jolie.? Anyway, Banks covers the new issue of Allure, and despite my misgivings, the interview is pretty great. I?m saying that because I love and admire her.
Elizabeth?s career theme: “If I had to pick a theme of the things I do, it would be: Girls win.”
The stress of directing: “Once you get offered a studio job, as a woman, it?s really hard to say no because they don’t let women do this very often. So I knew I needed to embrace it and I couldn’t mess it up. Because if you mess it up, they don’t let you do it again, and you become representative of female directors as a whole. Like, ‘See girls can’t do it.’”
She prefers comedy to drama: “Making people laugh is a very addictive thing? [At the Friars Club], all of these people absolutely get high off of killing a room. You can get that feeling of flying in drama as well, and I’ve had it many, many times. But I find making people laugh to be a really specially ability. It’s like having a superpower.”
Being married to Max Handelman since 2003:”I didn’t meet my husband and think, I’ve met the man I’m going to marry. I was like he’s cute. I’ll f–k him, because I’m 18 and in college.”
Their marriage works though: “Really, what happened was I’ve never met anyone I liked more. In the early years did I have crushes or little interests here and there? I know my husband did, and so did I, but we stayed together. We still to this day take the long view. We have always dreamed about our life together. And we work together every day, and we have a lot of respect for each other on every level. And then there’s love. And then there’s lust. So it?s great.?
[From Allure via E! News]
It?s always sad to hear that women directors just accept the biased system they?re working in, that if they aren?t all things to all people then they?ll never get another shot at directing again. It sucks. But I love Elizabeth?s theme: GIRLS WIN. She?s so cool. And her marriage sounds so? normal. Realistic. It?s not hearts and love at first sight and forcing a fairy tale on some random dude. It?s sticking with something and ?taking the long view.? I love her.

| Ethan Hawke: 'Having three daughters' it really does turn you into a feminist' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I have a well-documented Ethan Hawke problem. I know I should find him gross, but I just? don?t. I still find him attractive. If anything, I find him more attractive these days than during his ?90s heyday. Ethan is promoting his new film Good Kill, which is about drones and whether military drones are a good thing, etc. Honestly, the drone talk (from Ethan) is kind of boring. But I enjoyed his thoughts on women, feminism and the roles that got away. Ethan spoke to Larry King about all of this stuff ? you can see the video interview here. Some of the assorted quotes I found interesting:
Being directed by a woman: “I have been making movies for thirty years, I’ve probably made over forty movies, and this year is the first time I’ve been directed by a woman. People think that gender equality has happened- and it’s fascinating having three daughters, and seeing the world through their eyes, it really does turn you into a feminist.?
On Dead Poet’s Society: ?It’s the only movie I’ve ever done that really changed my life.”
Turning down roles: “One of the best roles I ever turned down, I knew I was wrong for it. They were wrong to offer it to me. The guy who did it was great. The stupidest one I ever turned down was Independence Day, they offered me Will Smith’s part.”
His favorite film: “[My] favorite would probably have to be Boyhood, only because what a special experience that was, that’s so unlike other parts that I’ve played.”
The best part about Hollywood: “The women.”
His advice to child actors: “If you take out, if you look at the history of the arts, of who succeeds, if you just eliminate self destruction, if you just decide that I will not self implode, if you decide that, your chances of excelling at what you do go up 90%. So many people sabotage themselves, particularly artistic people, but all of us. A lot of us a feeling that we don’t deserve success, a lot of us have a feeling we’re our own worst critics, and there is no shame in loving yourself and treating yourself with the respect with which you would treat someone you love, and taking care of your talent.”
[From Ora TV]
Ethan Hawke was offered the Will Smith role in Independence Day? And he turned it down?! That?s so bizarre. I?d love to know the other part he?s talking about ? for some reason, I just got an image of Mark Ruffalo. Like, I could see how Ruffalo and Hawke might be up for some of the same parts. As for Ethan?s feminism? eh. It would be nice if a dude could be a feminist without having daughters, but sure, I?ll take it.
