Hard at work on their new movie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were out filming scenes for “Inception” in downtown Los Angeles on Monday (October 19).
The Christopher Nolan directed film in due out in July 2010, telling the story of “a CEO-type who becomes involved in a blackmailing scandal.”
Meanwhile, Leo kept himself occupied over the weekend, hitting the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Friday night.
The Oscar winning actor spent time hanging out with MTV reality star Whitney Port, who he’s been linked to romantically - although the pair have since denied the claims.

Still sporting that interesting ‘do of hers, the “Umbrella” songstress hurried inside dressed in all black paired with brown shoe booties.
Keeping her fans in an exciting suspense, the singer’s Web site now features a countdown clock letting everyone know that on October 20 at 11:23am something big is going to happen.
There’s no exact word on what that will be, but there are assumptions that the singer will release her first single off her forthcoming album, which is reportedly due out on November 23.

After an insane roller coaster relationship with Samantha Ronson, Lohan has apparently set her eyes on oil heir Balthazar Getty - the same married mogul whom Sienna Miller had an affair with last year.
According to a source, the “Mean Girls” actress and the “Brothers and Sisters” actor were spotted sneaking in Hollywood nightspot, Voyeur, through the backdoor.
Apparently, the two were all over each other at a table, but stayed for less than half an hour before leaving the popular nightclub.

Elisabeth explained, “You know when your baby smiles for the first time – I reach for the iPhone and take the photo. No wonder why he is smiling – because my nipple is in the photo!”
After getting a good laugh from her co-hosts as well as the audience, Hasselbeck added that she sent the picture to her whole family email list by mistake."It’s worse than drunk dialing. It’s embarrassing.”

She’s been taking her “Sasha Fierce” flavor all over the world, but it turns out Beyonce Knowles won’t be making her scheduled stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as was previously planned.
According to a report, the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” songstress was due to perform on October 25th, though the date “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly.”
Concert promotion company Marctensia told press, “The postponement is solely [the] decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons.”
Meanwhile, Beyonce was busy shaking her bootylicious body for the folks in Saitama, Japan last night as her World Tour hit the Saitama Super Arena.

I don?t get this chick?s style. These are new photos of George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis at the Up In the Air premiere at the International Rome Film Festival on Friday. George looks okay, I guess. But Elisabetta? she looks ?off? somehow, doesn?t she? Like she?s aiming for both Cindy Crawford and Angelina Jolie with her styling. Maybe I?m just thinking of Angelina because of the tattoos, though. In any case, I think Elisabetta has weird style/makeup/hair people. I do think she?s a pretty girl, and I hope she improves throughout her relationship with Clooney. My guess is that she?s going to be wearing a lot of Armani (same as Sarah Larson) in the coming months.
Anyway, George Clooney has three films coming out this fall/winter/awards season. What?s strange is that they?re all coming out within a few months of each other, so if you?re already sick of George and Elisabetta Canalis, you?ll need to prepare yourself for permanent nausea. Last week, George was in London with Elisabetta, on promotional duty for The Fantastic Mr. Fox. This week he?s going to be promoting Up In The Air and Men Who Stare At Goats (which is the one I really want to see). As such, we have a new interview with George, via The Daily Mirror. I?m not sure if the Mirror actually sat down with George, because some of these quotes are old. But some of it sounds new, especially the part where George says everyone thinks he?s 60 years old, which is hilarious:
It?s no wonder George is seen as a playboy ? an image he is happy to poke fun at.
?I?m old,? he says with a laugh. ?I?m kind of comfortable with getting older because it?s better than the other option, which is being dead. So I?ll take getting older. It?s an interesting thing to be able to watch yourself grow older on screen.”
?I was watching Up In The Air and I thought, ?Jesus, who?s the old, grey-haired guy?? And it was me. I never wear make-up for movies and now it?s starting to show.?
?It?s funny because earlier in my career I was working with a lot of actresses who were my age or older and most actors work with actresses who are considerably younger. So people always thought I was older anyway and I?ve been going through this thing with people thinking I?m about 60.?
He may be getting older, but George shows no signs of slowing down. At the moment, he is in London to promote three films, rom-com Up In The Air, kids? favourite The Fantastic Mr Fox and a satire about the CIA called The Men Who Stare At Goats.
?Boy, I?ve got a lot of films here this week, a lot of running around,? he says, adding with another laugh, ?And all three films are ones I don?t have to be embarrassed about ? and that?s rare!?
When he can take a break from his hectic work schedule, he retreats to his Italian mansion on Lake Como to ?recharge and have friends and family and people around?.
George says: ?Some of the most fun dinners I?ve ever had have been there. There?s always 10 or 15 people and we have wild fun evenings of interesting people telling interesting stories. I relate to nothing but joy and happiness there ? it?s been the greatest thing I?ve ever done for myself.?
George may be a generous host, but his guests have to put up with his elaborate pranks. His latest victim was Ocean?s 11 co-star Matt Damon, who visited over summer.
At the time Matt was trying to lose the 30lb he gained for The Informant. He was working out twice a day and eating only salads. So George hired a woman to surreptitiously take in the waistband of all Matt?s trousers every day by an eighth of an inch. ?He couldn?t understand how he seemed to be gaining weight while he was trying so hard to lose it,? grins George.
His next victim will be Brad Pitt. ?I?m working on a prank and I need some help,? he admits. ?Something evil has to happen.?
The Men Who Stare At Goats, produced by George and his business partner Grant Heslov, is based on the supposedly true story of a US military unit who tried to use psychic powers to run through walls and kill goats simply by staring at them.
George says: ?We made up stuff that we thought was funny, but the weirdest stuff in the film is the true stuff.?
?I?ve been lucky enough to do a few films that will last longer than an opening weekend, and those films are the ones I?m proud of,? he says, modestly. ?You know, I have a few that I look back on and say, ?Well, that worked?. And I?ve had some that didn?t really work, but I don?t mind that as long as I?m always trying to do stuff that?s pushing the envelope.?
But he is all too aware that he can only afford so many movies that don?t ?work?. Despite his A-list status and huge influence in Hollywood, George still has to keep on the right side of the financiers and studio heads ? the people who green light and provide the funding for his projects.
?I?m in the lucky position right now of them still letting me play with the toys, but I don?t know how long that will last,? he says. ?So while they?re letting me, I?m going to keep trying to do these kind of movies and hope that some of them succeed.?

If I take away George?s skeezy personal life, I actually love who he is and what he represents in Hollywood. George got to the place in his career several years ago where he started making really interesting choices as an actor, director and producer. He is right about having hits as well as misses, but I give him credit for actually trying to make good, interesting films that challenge audiences. Sigh. I can?t wait for Men Who Stare At Goats. George plus Ewan Mcgregor plus Jeff Bridges plus goats equals film magic.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry have been dating for ? I don?t know, maybe three weeks, tops? Or a whole month, if you count the start of the ?relationship? a drunken hookup after the VMAs. While it is surprising they?ve lasted this long, they?re now finding themselves the hot new couple. Sort of. I mean, if you think Russell is hot, I suppose, and not dirty-in-a-bad-way. Anyway, Russell and Katy are now being followed everywhere by the paparazzi, and I?m a little surprised it took this long to get a picture of some kind of extreme PDA.
Honestly, though, I don?t even know what I?m looking at. The description of these photos says ?Katy Perry and Russell Brand sneak away for some intimate time at a private party in the Hollywood Hills, California.? I think that?s the house (where the party is being held?) behind them. And it looks like Russell is trying to nail Katy on the terrace railing. That would take more concentration and upper-body strength than I have, so God bless. But I?ve got to wonder if there were partygoers milling about as Russell tried to nail her to the railing. Apparently, Paul McKenna and Randy Jackson were in attendance at the party. So it sounds like an industry party? I guess Russell and Katy provided the entertainment.
In other paparazzi shots from the weekend, Katy was seen shopping with her best friend (who looks a lot like Russell). Russell was seen solo, heading into Cedar Senai medical building in West Hollywood. Interesting? put all of these little incidents together, and we have a story line. Shopping for cute outfits, terrace booty, then STD check-up?
Here?s my advice to Katy: Stop hooking up with Russell on the terrace at an industry party. Stop sending Russell pictures of your boobs. And for goodness sake, ask him what his doctor prescribed and for what ailment.

As for snapping back into shape following the birth of daughter Anja Louise, Alessandra told People magazine, “Last year, because I had a baby and I had to lose pounds, I did a lot of cardio. This year is all about weights, squats and lunges.”

Fresh off of a cross-country flight the previous evening, Lindsay Lohan was looking fashionable in New York City on Monday morning (October 19).
The “Mean Girls” starlet sported a black and white ensemble complete with ear warmers to fend off the chilly weather as she tended to business duties.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Lohan is reportedly a bit worried about her dad Michael Lohan’s behavior and is seeking legal action to get him to leave her alone.
An inside source revealed, “Lindsay is actively getting a restraining order, her lawyer has already been contacted. She’s scared. This is really serious.”
LiLo’s concern came from a statement Michael made to press, saying, “I’m going to see the judge this week. If I can’t get a conservatorship, then I’m going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight. But I know I’m gonna get charged with kidnapping.”

Madonna is in trouble, and frankly I just don?t understand why. Her neighbors have been complaining for years about what a nightmare she is ? and it?s like? what?s wrong with them? Don?t they know they?re living next to a legend? Don?t they realize they should feel honored to receive anything from her at all, be in a nod in the hallway or the reverberations of her unreleased music? Some people are so ungrateful.
Last November, neighbors in Madge?s Upper West Side apartment building started complaining about the ridiculous, unbearable levels of noise she was subjecting them to for hours at a time, at all hours of the day. She had sued the co-op board in order to buy the apartment, which was adjacent to one she already owned. That?s right, they already disliked her enough to try to prevent her from buying more space in the building. She promptly turned it into a recording and dance studio, though she was required to give the building a schedule of when she?d be doing either of these noisy activities. However she hasn?t stuck to it at all, and residents have literally had to deal with blaring drums in the middle of the night.
Now one gutsy neighbor at the Harperley Hall apartments is taking on Madonna, via the co-op board. She?s suing the board for not getting Madge to shut the hell up ? and the result may well be the Material Girl?s eviction.
Living above a musical icon apparently isn’t as fun as one might imagine, according to Madonna’s Manhattan neighbour, who has filed a lawsuit alleging the pop singer uses her flat as a rehearsal studio.
Karen George, who lives above Madonna in a ritzy Central Park West building, filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday against the building’s co-op board, accusing it of not taking sufficent action against Madonna for excessive noise and disruption.
According to the lawsuit, neighbours have to deal with “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls” from Madonna’s $4-million US, seventh-floor apartment for up to three hours a day.
George also complained that “Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train… to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators.”
Officials representing the board say they have already threatened the entertainer with eviction if she didn’t contain the noise. The complaints started more than a year ago as she prepared for her Sticky and Sweet world tour.
Representatives for the singer have not issued comment.

Yay! Sorry but it?s hard to have any sympathy for Madonna in this one. Actually that?s fair to say about Madge on the whole. But I have yet to hear any explanation for her behavior. Madonna will do what Madonna wants to do, and the rest of you can just deal with it. How uptight are you, grandma, that you can?t handle a little drumming and some cymbals at 3:23 in the morning?
There have been off and on reports that Madonna has purchased a townhouse, and while that?s a better idea, it?s not a complete solution. Even with the nicest ones in NYC, there?s almost no space between them. Maybe a few feet at the most ? 3 a.m. drumming is still going to be a problem. She won?t have shared walls and floors with people (how badly do you feel for the person living under Madonna?s practice space?), but loud thumpy Paul Oakenfold beats are still loud thumpy Paul Oakenfold beats. Just a little less so. Madonna?s best solution is probably building a place from scratch, and having it soundproofed. Or, you know, just plan on being an asshole for the rest of her life. Wonder which it?ll be?

Blake Lively has revealed how she was once banned from Disneyland!The Gossip Girl star says she was denied entry to the theme park for a whole year after trying to scam free entry into the magic kingdom.“I grew up going to Disneyland twice a week,” explains Blake. “But I was banned for a year because I went to Disney prison. I was really young so I wasn’t responsible for this — it was all my brother’s fault.“You get a stamp when you leave the park which if you put hairspray on it you can transfer it to someone else’s hand, so in the parking lot he went up to somebody and said, ‘Hey can we spray hairspray on your hand?’ and we transferred it.“And then we go in through the turnstile and there’s people there called Fox Fighters or some weird name, They take us aside and I’m like six-years-old and my brother says ‘No matter what they say do not confess’. She’s not especially known for her acting prowess, but Paris Hilton has landed a new acting job alongside some pretty big names.
The “Simple Life” babe spent a day last week filming her scenes for her new gig “The Other Guys” in New York City with costars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L Jackson and Eva Mendes.
And it sounds like Miss Hilton was a bit of a prima donna when it came to her specific demands, especially given that she only has a bit part in the movie.
An inside source told press, “Paris has a cameo role in the movie, where she plays herself. It is all being kept very hush-hush. But the producers were shocked when her team handed them a three-page list of demands — including live lobsters to be prepared fresh when she’s ready to eat and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka — all for just one day on the set. All celebrities are typically offered riders, but it seemed excessive for just one day’s work playing herself.”

Continuing along with their tumultuous relationship - Lindsay Lohan is upset with her father again, and now wants to take out a restraining order against him.
According to a report, the “Mean Girls” babe, who was spotted jetting out of LAX Airport last night, is worried about her dad Michael Lohan’s behavior and is seeking legal action to get him to leave her alone.
An inside source revealed, “Lindsay is actively getting a restraining order, her lawyer has already been contacted. She’s scared. This is really serious.”
LiLo’s concern came from a statement Michael made to press, saying, “I’m going to see the judge this week. If I can’t get a conservatorship, then I’m going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight. But I know I’m gonna get charged with kidnapping.”

Natalie Portman gave an interview to the Los Angeles Times last week to promote her work in New York, I Love You. Natalie directed one segment of the series of short films, and Natalie also stars in one segment directed by Mira Nair. In the interview, Natalie talks about her dreams of directing and how she is actively seeking out more adult roles. She also kind of pulls a Megan Fox, and I detest saying that or even comparing the two women. Natalie is talking about how her roles affect her life, and she discusses her supporting part as a troubled, suicidal teenage girl in Heat. Natalie then does the whole ?I?m a cutter? thing - although she does specify state that she only cut herself once:
“Just as what you are feeling in your life affects your acting, what you act in definitely affects what you are feeling in your life,” Natalie Portman says with typical thoughtfulness.
“And whether you want it to or not, and even if you don’t know it, it bleeds into your life. I made ‘Heat’ when I was 14 and played a girl who died,” she continues. “A year later, I got into a fight with my mother and cut myself. I had never done it before and I never did it after that, but I think having my wrists bloody in a movie definitely affected my psyche.”
At this point,” says Portman of the parts that appeal to her, “I want to be a woman on-screen because I want to be a woman in my life. I don’t want to be a little girl.”
“Working with Mira in New York, I was so thrilled to watch a female director, and you couldn’t ask for a better model than her,” she says. “For me, directing isn’t a backup plan, because I really love it. At the end of the day, it is your product, which you don’t get when you’re acting. Even good performances are pieced together by good directors. You give plenty of bad takes, and they put it together in the editing room.”
As for when she might take on that particular challenge, “I don’t love saying I’m going to do something before I do it because I feel like that’s a formula for hearing, ‘You never did what you said you were going to,’ ” she says, “but I really love directing.” And while she admits to some fear of stepping behind the camera and out of her comfort zone, “that’s intrinsic to everything you do as a creative person. You’re constantly putting yourself up there to be trashed. If I thought about it too much, I’d just be crippled. I’d rather create.”

Eh, it sounds like she just did it once to see how it would feel. But it feels like she?s trying to be a bit edgy about it, doesn?t it? Like ?oh, I was so hardcore when I was a kid.? Meh. Maybe I?m being overly-analytical. But that attitude bothers me.
Natalie is also facing a backlash because she signed the ?Free Polanski? petition in support of Roman Polanski?s release from custody. Natalie is in esteemed custody - everyone from Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Harrison Ford, Jeremy Irons, Salman Rushdie, Kristin Scott Thomas, Steven Soderbergh, Emma Thompson and Diane Von Furstenberg, amongst many, many others (see full list here). Ugh, I think Emma Thompson?s inclusion might be the cruelest cut of all. Why, Emma, why? Anyway, the backlash against the signers seems mainly from the more conservative media outlets, but I think it will probably grow as more stuff starts happening with the case. Interesting note: Natalie?s The Professional director Luc Besson was one of the few prominent French artists who did not sign. He released this statement about Polanski: ?I have a lot of affection for him, he is a man that I like very much? but nobody should be above the law?. I don?t know the details of this case, but I think that when you don?t show up for trial, you are taking a risk.?

The New York Times had to run a correction about Sienna Miller?s sexual history! They ran a profile of Sienna last week as part of her promotion of After Miss Julie (the Broadway play costarring hottie Jonny Lee Miller) in which some poor journalist was trying to list all of Sienna?s real or tabloid-fictionalized lovers. The NYT originally listed Heath Ledger and Sean Combs in the article, after which the NYT offered a formal correction, and the names were then taken out of in the digital record of the article. Here?s the Huffington Post?s summary:
Sienna Miller is the subject of a profile in the New York Times this weekend, but the paper initially reported that Miller was more promiscuous than the reality.
Miller, who is currently appearing in “After Miss Julie” on Broadway, has had a high-profile love life, first gaining massive tabloid attention when then-fiance Jude Law cheated on her with his children’s nanny.
The Times profile now begins with these two sentences: ?”SERIAL MILLER” is what the London tabloids like to call the 27-year-old actress Sienna Miller, in honor of her long and well-documented romantic history. Her flings have included Jude Law, Daniel Craig, James Franco and most recently the married oil heir Balthazar Getty, with whom she was photographed topless and in a sailor hat.?
And this is the correction running at the end of the article: ?Correction: October 17, 2009. An article on Page 4 this weekend about Sienna Miller misstates the nature of the relationships that she had with Heath Ledger and Sean Combs. She was friends with both of them; she did not have romantic flings with either of them.?
She costarred with Ledger in 2005’s “Casanova,” and yes, the Times called her engagement to Jude Law a fling.

Here?s the thing - I don?t think Sienna hooked with Ledger or Combs, but I also don?t think she hooked up with Daniel Craig (who had a girlfriend - the same one he has now - when those hookup rumors were going around in 2005) or with James Franco. Sienna?s rep even denied the James Franco rumor when it first started in 2006. I think Sienna?s rep must have demanded a correction for Heath and Puffy, but they didn?t demand a correction on Daniel or James. Probably because those guys are hot, and it helps Sienna to be mentioned with a hot unmarried guy. I guess the NYT (and Sienna?s publicity team) didn?t want to note that Sienna has actually had romances with Rhys Ifans, ?Slinky Wizard? and Rupert Friend, probably because those aren?t names that can help her career.
Regardless of the hookup mix up, the NYT piece has a couple of interesting quotes from Sienna, although she sounds like the same self-absorbed girl with the same ridiculous excuses for carrying on a nearly two-year public affair with a very married Balthazar Getty: ?I think I underestimated the way people bracket you?I thought I could wear what I wanted and be an actress and live my life in a certain way, and it would all be all right.? Sienna also thinks that she doesn?t have very good media skills: ?I feel we live in the kind of culture now where you have to be very smart to navigate the right way, and I just don?t have those smarts. I think with age and time it will change, but I can?t obsess about it.? Yeah, that was the problem, Sienna. ?Navigating? the media. But don?t ?obsess? about it. Don?t bother learning anything from the experience, okay?

One of the easiest things Lindsay Lohan can do to get sympathy for her screwed up life is to simply sit back and let her parents make asses out of themselves. I know that whenever I hear Dina and Michael sniping at one another publicly, or whenever they give one of their ?look at me, it?s all about me, ME, ME, ME? interviews, I totally feel a twinge, a pang for Lindsay. I sigh to myself and think, ?Jesus, she really couldn?t have been anything other than what she is with those sketchy parents.? And then I get over it. Yes, Lindsay had a screwed up childhood. Yes, her parents are a-holes. And yes, they?ve made their daughter into an insane, drug-addicted a-hole too. But Lindsay had opportunities to clean up her act, get away from her family and choose to live a healthier life. Instead, she chose to be enabled, coddled in a steady stream of denial and irresponsibility. Think of that when you?re reading Dina?s response to Michael?s neverending ?Lindsay is an addict? interviews and his threats to force Lindsay into an intervention:
Dina Lohan has a message for her ex-husband Michael about some recent interviews, during which he’s claimed their daughter Lindsay is abusing prescription pills: Stop discussing Lindsay’s private life and focus on yourself.
Dina lashed back Saturday, telling PEOPLE: “Michael Lohan needs to focus on being a parent, paying child support, of which he is six months behind, and making up for all the years he was an absentee dad. And stop going on national television talking about his children publicly.”
On Saturday, Michael told the photo agency X17, “I’m going to see the judge this week…If I can’t get a conservatorship, then I’m going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight. But I know I’m gonna get charged [with] kidnapping.”
And during a taping Thursday of The Maury Povich Show, Michael looked into the camera and relayed the following message to Lindsay: “I?m gonna do anything and everything I have to save your life, whether mom likes it, the public likes it, or anyone.”
While Michael says he’s planning to meet with a judge and seek conservatorship, a source tells PEOPLE that Lindsay herself plans to turn to the courts and seek a restraining order against her father.

Did you just sigh to yourself and think ?I might be Team Lindsay on this one?? Congratulations! I too thought the same thing. Truly, if there is a moral throw-down between Michael and Lindsay, Lindsay comes out ahead by a nose. Michael is an abuser, a fraud, a famewhore, and just a really disgusting person. Lindsay should get a restraining order against him - she should have done that a long time ago, quite honestly. Then get one against Dina too. And then Lindsay could check into rehab and get her life together. But she won?t do any of it, will she?
In one last piece of Lindsay Lohan news, Page Six has this interesting story from last week?s Victoria?s Secret perfume launch. Lindsay was in attendance (she probably got the invite from her dealer), and no surprise, she made an ass out of herself. According to a source, ?Lohan mistook the cake baked in the shape of a giant perfume bottle for the real thing, and put her hand out to lean on it? She accidentally poked a hole right in the middle of it.? Oh, Blohan. We can?t take you anywhere.

Fresh off of a cross-country red-eye flight, Kate Hudson visited the YAS Fitness Center for an early morning spinning class in Venice Beach on Sunday (October 18).
Looking as if her workout sessions are definitely paying off, the “Bride Wars” babe showed off her rock hard abs as she walked back to her car and headed home following the gym visit.
Currently having been busy supporting her latest lover, Kate is in town to support her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees as his team plays the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the Major League Baseball playoffs.
Having been staying in New York City before returning to the west coast, Miss Hudson was in the stands for Saturday night’s game, which the Yankees won in extra innings to take a 2-0 series lead.

Taking a break from her work obligations, Britney Spears jetted down south to vacation in Mexico with her family over the weekend.
Spotted out in a black bikini on Sunday (October 18), the “Gimme More” singer was accompanied on the beach by boyfriend Jason Trawick, as well as her two sons, her dad and a few helping hands.
The Mexican getaway comes after Miss Spears spent time working on the new music video “3” during a steamy shoot in Los Angeles.
Of the new work, Brit tweeted to her fans: “I am so happy y’all love it because I do this all for you. I can’t wait till you see the video!”
