The Bling Ring came out last week and two people who aren’t the biggest fans of Sofia Coppola’s latest work areThe O.C. co-stars Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton. Mostly because Bilson had her house robbed while Barton had her 2007 drunk driving arrest mentioned in the film. Haters.
Says Bilson,”I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people. It’s important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget.” It’s probably hard to disassociate oneself from something you were directly involved in so I’d take her criticisms with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, Barton just rails on the film without ever having seen it merely because they highlighted how much of a screw-up she was back then.

?I will admit that when I was very young I had a huge crush on Don Johnson and I continue to do so. Not for ?Miami Vice,? but he made an album? I only really remember one song because it was my first kiss at thirteen years old in the trailer park that we spent our vacations in, with some boy whose name I don?t remember.?
Diane also added that she finally got to meet Mr. Johnson while partying with her ?Inglourious Basterds? director buddy Quentin Tarantino at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash earlier this year.

Next season of “The View” is shaping up to look almost entirely different than the panel that long-time viewers have grown accustomed to seeing on their television screens every morning. Last we heard, Jenny McCarthy is in “serious talks” to replace Joy Behar at the end of this season, and Barbara Walters will also be departing at that time as well. Now Page Six has reported an exclusive bombshell that says Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving too, and her last day is … today. Damn, that was fast.
Of course, Elisabeth (who joined “The View” in 2002) has seemed to be on the verge of leaving the show for quite some time. She doesn’t handle conflict well and doesn’t exactly represent in a strong, coherent way as the sole conservative on the panel. She also tends to say some really dumb stuff like women only go lesbian when they can’t find a man. Way back in 2008, Elisabeth’s days were supposedly numbered. Most recently in March, she was allegedly kicked off the show for being “too extreme and right wing” although at the time, an ABC rep insisted Liz was “a valued member of ‘The View’ and has a long term contract.” A few days later, Barbara Walters insisted that the rumors were not true and “we have no plans for Elisabeth to leave the show.” Well, plans have changed very quickly, and Page Six says Elisabeth will be running out the door tomorrow for a new gig on “Fox & Friends”:
Elizabeth Hasselbeck is leaving “The View” and joining Fox News’ morning show “FOX and Friends” as a co-host, Page Six has exclusively confirmed.
After much speculation, conservative co-host Hasselbeck is following Barbara Walters and Joy Behar out of the ABC daytime talk show. She will join Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on the Fox couch in mid-September.
FOX News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes announced, “Elisabeth?s warm and engaging personality made her a star on ‘The View.’ She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”
Hasselbeck added, “I have been a long-time fan of ‘Fox & Friends’ and am excited to be joining their team in September.”
Current ‘FOX & Friends’ co-host Gretchen Carlson will now anchor a one-hour daytime program beginning in early fall.
Fox News last week announced that Megyn Kelly is moving to primetime after she returns from maternity leave. Kelly currently hosts ?America Live? which airs from 1pm to 3pm.
The network also announced that it has signed long-term deals with Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren, who host from 8 until 11 pm, as well as with Bret Baier and Shep Smith, who host the 6pm and 7pm hours.
There has been much speculation about 36-year-old Hasselbeck?s next move after Sherri Shepherd hinted that the outspoken blonde could be leaving “The View.”
So many changes, I can?t believe it!? Sherri told Wendy Williams on June 17, “The two black women are left; usually, they kill us off in the beginning.”
Recent reports have said that Jenny McCarthy or Brooke Shields may take over Hasselbeck?s role on “The View.”

Obviously, the show now needs a replacement for Elisabeth, and since she’s leaving so soon, there will probably be a flurry of guest hosts vying for the permanent gig. Back when all the talk was going on in March, Brooke Shields looked to be the frontrunner, but who knows where ABC will go with this. What I want to know is this — why hasn’t ABC given Rachel Campos-Duffy a real shot at the panel? She’s served as a guest host several times and was actually one of the finalists during the period when Elisabeth was ultimately hired. Rachel is adorable and just happens to be conservative. From what I recall from her stint on “The Real World,” her positions tend to be slightly more socially liberal than Elisabeth’s. I think Rachel would be a perfect fit (she’s been doing more guest gigs recently, so fingers crossed), and I think Elisabeth will greatly enjoy her time working with like-minded people at “Fox News.”

Denzel Washington has spent the last thirty years in an industry that?s known for spitting people out in 30 days. Denzel has managed to win two Oscars and a slew of other awards, and he?s currently on the ?lifetime achievement? path. Meaning that if he continues to keep everything locked down, he?s going to spend the next decade winning lifetime achievement awards from every critics? circle and awards show out there. And throughout it all, Denzel has barely been touched by scandal. Sure, there are rumors that he can be rather unpleasant and grumpy, but there?s never been a real ?scandal? or ?controversy? associated with him. As I recently found out earlier this year, Denzel even returned to the Pentecostal church, and he?s an avid church-goer and he?s still married to his first wife, Pauletta. This year is their 30-year wedding anniversary.
So, this Radar story took me by surprise. Apparently, there?s a rumor going around that Denzel has been cheating on Pauletta. Damn.
Flight star Denzel Washington has been married for 30 years, but despite a seemingly idyllic relationship with his wife, he is now caught up in a cheating scandal as photographs of Denzel apparently with and kissing another woman are being shopped, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Denzel, 58, and his wife Pauletta, 62, recently did an interview with Ebony magazine giving what what called a ?rare portrait? into ?one of Hollywood?s longest running couples.?
But several photos that have been shopped to various media outlets appear to show Denzel with another woman and kissing her on the lips, in what appears to be a passionate moment.
Those photos are a stark contrast to what his wife Pauletta recently told Ebony.
?I live with this man. I see the down part. I see the sad part. I see every part,? Pauletta told the magazine. ?He has and knows he has stability in me as his wife. That?s what gives him strength, regardless if he misuses it. I can?t dwell on that. But I do know that gives him a great platform to go and fly.?
But is Denzel flying with another woman?
Four photographs, seen by Radar and shopped to other media outlets, show him sitting on a couch with a young lady, and then throughout the series of pictures he grabs her arm and pulls her in for a kiss on the lips in one. The woman is not identified and Radar was not able to verify the authenticity of the photographs.
In 2003 rumors floated that Denzel was having an affair with his Out of Time co-star, Sanaa Latham, but she denied the allegations.
There have been other reports and allegations of infidelity regarding the superstar.
?Denzel has always sweet-talked his way out of it,? an insider told Star magazine in their latest issue, which has details of the new cheating scandal.
?She (his wife) confronted him, and once again he denied he did anything wrong,? the source said of Denzel?s latest situation.
However, a rep for Denzel denies that he and Paulette are on the verge of a split or divorce.

I never heard that rumor about Sanaa Latham! That?s interesting. Are there any other rumors about his alleged cheating? Huh. Now, I guess I could believe that Denzel has gotten some on the side here and there, and the deal he and Pauletta might have is that as long as he doesn?t get seriously involved with his side-pieces, there will be no problem. Thirty years of marriage? that?s a lot of forgiving and forgetting and compromising, and Pauletta is nobody?s fool, you know?

Here are some photos from last night?s NYC premiere of Turbo, that animated film about snails or racing or something. Ryan Reynolds does the voice for the main character, and as such, Ryan was the big star on the red carpet. Except that it?s still some huge SECRET (!) that he?s married to Blake Lively (even though he name-checked her several times in his Details interview), so Ryan and Blake once again walked the red carpet separately. I guess the message to all of us is ?Blake is the kind of wife who comes out to support her husband but they still have hang-ups about walking a red carpet together.? How Gwyneth Paltrow-esque.
I do think they had another reason for walking separately though ? I think they invited some extended family members to the premiere. Blake seemed to pose with someone called ?Jason Lively?? let?s see? he?s Blake?s half-brother. Which makes those little boys Blake?s? half-nephews? And I think Ryan might have brought a brother and a niece?
Ryan wore Burberry? something is not working for me with his whole look. I think the suit would have been better with a white dress shirt and a different tie. And his hair needs? something. As for Blake, she wore Burberry as well. I really like the skirt, quite honestly. It?s so sparkly, and the length is nice on her (she wears too many miniskirts). I like the ensemble more when she?s wearing the cardigan, but Blake just had to make sure the cameras got some skin, didn?t she?
PS? I?m adding a bonus photo of Michelle Rodriguez at the premiere because she looked especially fresh and pretty, I thought.

If there was ever a person out there to make Lindsay Lohan look sober, competent and reasonably court-attired, it?s Amanda Bynes. Bynes made a court appearance yesterday in NYC ? this is the same case where the NYPD have accused her of throwing her bong out of her apartment?s window, after which Amanda accused a New York police officer of slapping her vadge. To show her disdain (or pleasure?) for the proceedings, Amanda donned an aqua-colored wig (with bangs!) and she wore some ratty-looking gym clothes. See? I?m not looking back at Lindsay Lohan?s inappropriate court attire as ?the good old days?.
Amanda Bynes rolled into a New York courtroom today dressed more for a rave than a court hearing — sporting an aqua-colored wig, sweatpants, a tank top … and sneakers!
… and no one was surprised.
Bynes was in court to fight allegations she threw a glass bong out of her NY apartment window back in May.
According to police, Amanda threw the bong out of her window before they arrested her, but she has denied the accusation … in fact, she says the arresting officer sexually assaulted her by slapping her vagina.
She also said cops entered her apartment illegally.
But inside the courtroom today … nothing really happened. Bynes was virtually silent — and the judge continued the case to August 26 … though Bynes isn’t ordered to appear until Sep. 26.

I imagine Amanda still thinks that this is the only time she?s ever been accused of anything, but she?s forgetting her DUI in California and her post-arrest spree of sketchiness in LA. She moved to NYC just as the LAPD was going to have to buckle down and start actually charging her with some of the myriad traffic crimes she was committing. But now she?s in New York and all the NYPD has on her is felony bong-tossing. Here?s the video of Amanda coming into court:
The wig game has improved. But that?s only because her wig game was pretty busted to begin with. And, as always, I checked in on Amanda?s Twitter to see what she?s been up to. She?s still tweeting about plastic surgery and now she thinks the Obamas are ?ugly?.

Just the other day, Jennifer Lopez was telling the world that her style is a mixture of Jackie O, Ava Gardner, and Madonna. Now she covers the August issue of W magazine as photographed by Mario Sorrenti with a very obvious Elizabeth Taylor theme going on. It is obvious, right? I don’t know what she’s thinking while trying to channel such iconic women in such a half-hearted way. Again, it’s as if JLo believes a big wig (that can’t be her real hair — she’s been sporting too many highlights lately) will make us all believe that she is in fact the next coming of Liz. As if.
Jennifer’s dress is Gucci, and I will admit to being disappointed that she’s gone such a predictable route in trying to look like someone else. Jennifer has always succeeded through her own (admittedly tacky) style, but she completely owns it, and I’m sad to see her pretending otherwise. Maybe she’s looking at this magazine shoot as an acting gig. I don’t know. The interview is slightly more illuminating than this cover because JLo talks about her pre-JLo days when she was essentially homeless. Now she has enough money to fill several swimming pools, so it’s interesting to witness her reflecting upon the bad old days:
She visits the Bronx with the journo: “I was nervous coming here today. This is the house I grew up in. I would look out that window to see if my boyfriend was coming, and then I?d run out the door I?m the middle sister. All three of us girls shared a room. I was into sports and dancing. I ran track. I have a lot of stamina. I was built for the long run.”
She left home at 18: “My mom and I butted heads. I didn?t want to go to college–I wanted to try dance full-time. So she and I had a break. I started sleeping on the sofa in the dance studio. I was homeless, but I told her, ?This is what I have to do.? A few months later, I landed a job dancing in Europe. When I got back, I booked In Living Color. I became a Fly Girl and moved to L.A. It all happened in a year.”
She missed the Bronx: “I hated L.A. I was asking, ?Where?s the store for milk? Don?t you guys walk on the street?? Now I love Los Angeles, but it doesn?t give me strength the way the Bronx did. All the strength that I needed for life, I got from that neighborhood.”
Work ethic is important: “I think a lot about teaching my kids to work hard. I?ve learned something about kids–they don?t do what you say; they do what you do. I watched my parents. My dad worked nights, and I was aware of how much he was doing for us. My mom was a Tupperware lady and also worked at the school. I always felt that I couldn?t let them down. And I had a natural discipline from early on. I was always training for something.”

When Jennifer stated, “I have a lot of stamina. I was built for the long run,” she really hits home, doesn’t she? Even though she might do obnoxious things like perform for autocratic despots, and go through wedding rings like I go through boxed wine, Jenny from the Block possesses a lot more staying power than we ever suspected during the Bennifer days. There’s something to be said for succeeding even in the face of Gigli. She really showed all of us … but Liz Taylor, JLo is not.

Mariah Carey is currently sporting a sling after dislocating her shoulder on the set of her new music video. Carey went to the hospital in New York late Sunday after suffering the injury while filming a remix version of her song #Beautiful directed by Nick Cannon.Carey’s rep said doctors reset her shoulder and she’s fine.
However, Nick is saying the injury is much more serious than reported. “She was in this nice, beautiful gown, heels on and everything, and was kind of on this platform and reached and slipped and fell on her whole side,” Cannon said. “It was pretty serious. Not only did she dislocate her shoulder, she actually cracked a rib and … she chipped her shoulder bone.”
And I bet she walked 10 miles uphill in the snow to the hospital and back, too!
