Getting back to work on her new movie, Reese Witherspoon was spotted playing baseball in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning (November 4).
Decked out in Team USA gear, the “Legally Blonde” babe shot a few high-energy scenes on the yet-to-be titled James L. Brooks flick.
The day’s work follows what was an eventful previous day for Reese, as she called LAPD about a fight between two paparazzi that were vying to get shots of the star.
Law enforcement officials told that Reese contacted the LAPD and identified herself as an eyewitness, saying that the fight was vicious and she was “happy to cooperate” with any investigation or prosecution.

Hard at work on their new film, Wentworth Miller, Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Spencer Locke prepared for a “Resident Evil: Afterlife” scene on a ship in Lake Ontario on Wednesday (November 4).
The foursome just got started on the Paul W.S. Anderson directed flick, which is the 4th installment from the franchise with a release date set for August 27, 2010.
As for the plotline, a summary tells, “In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.”
Excited about the new gig, Miss Jovovich tweeted: “Wow, just finished a scene with Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller on a skiff approaching the huge ship. To say its cold is a joke. A bitter joke. Of course, Ali and I aren’t wearing much and to make matters worse Wenty is driving the boat himself and crashing it repeatedly! lol!”

With accusations of infidelity heating up, Fergie and Josh Duhamel are doing their best to put up a united front.
Spotted out on a date night in Atlanta just last night, the Black Eyed Peas singer and her “Transformers” hubby continue to deny allegations that Duhamel got cozy with a stripper named Nicole Forrester at the St. Regis Hotel on October 9th.
Of Fergie and Josh’s night out at Chops, the restaurant’s manager Kevin Brown tells People magazine that “they were snuggling up a little bit…. They were sitting next to each other in a booth side by side and talking closely.”
Brown adds, “We offered them a discreet table [but] she said, ‘I want to sit out where the action is.’ “
As for the alleged stripper tryst, a rep for Duhamel replied, “This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity. This story is absolutely ridiculous.”

Fed up with his publicity hungry ways, Lindsay Lohan is looking at taking legal action against her father, Michael Lohan.
According to TMZ, the “Georgia Rule” actress has contacted her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, in hopes of getting a restraining order against her papa.
With Michael currently selling off sensitive info about LiLo’s past drug use, her lawyer is also looking at the possibility of filing a defamation lawsuit against Mr Lohan.
Last, but not least, it is being investigated as to whether or not the Lohan family patriarch might have violated a criminal protective order out of New York.
After looking into the best course of action, Lindsay’s lawyer is then planning moving forward with her client’s requests.

Looking as if there’s a relationship in the works, reports tell that tennis star Maria Sharapova is getting cozy with Los Angeles Lakers player Sasha Vujacic.
The pair was spotted together at a recent U2 concert, with Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register confirming the coupledom.
When asked about the romance, Vujacic wouldn’t go as far as confirming the news, although he did coyly say, “I like tennis”.
Meanwhile, Ding adds that “other sources verified the relationship is legit.”

If only I had a lot of extra cash. I?d donate it to a good cause. And by ?donate,? I mean bid it all away for a chance to beat the crap out of a Kardashian. For a good cause though. So it?s okay. The entire Kardashian clan offered up their services ? well, their faces ? to benefit the Dream Foundation, whose mission ?is to enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families who are battling life-limiting illness.? The high bidders got to box the Kardashian (or close Kardashian step-relative or baby daddy) closest to their size, and of the same gender.
Unfortunately 22-year-old baby brother Rob got the crap beaten out of him, and landed in the hospital with a concussion. That put a serious damper on the whole event. The other Kardashians who were scheduled to fight backed out after that, with the exception of Kim and her stepfather Bruce Jenner (proud father of Brody). But Kim was still livid.
Kim Kardashian’s a knockout. Literally. The reality TV star put her good looks on the line on Tuesday in a charity boxing match ? and one female fan laid a blow right on Kim Kardashian’s kisser, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. The buxom beauty stepped into the ring dressed in head-to-toe Pink Everlast gear, but she was soon bested by her opponent, who was the highest bidder in an auction benefiting The Dream Foundation at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.
“The event itself was absolutely insane!!” Kardashian wrote on her blog. “We literally had three days of training to prepare for the event and thought it would be a little bit of fun to raise money for one of our favorite charities. We didn’t expect what happened.” Despite gamely facing her fears in the end, the 29-year-old socialite almost canceled her match after her younger brother, Rob, was KO’ed in an earlier fight.
“When Rob stepped in the ring to fight, his opponent was at least 25 lbs heavier than him, even though the organization had assured us that they were screening the people we were fighting against,” Kardashian wrote. “At one point Rob’s mask fell off and when he put his hands down he got hit in the face and ended up in hospital with a concussion. This guy just got really down and dirty!” When her 22-year-old bro was floored in a barrage of jabs in the first round, Kim reportedly jumped into his corner and demanded the bout be stopped, claiming the larger opponent was going too hard on him.
That left Kim as the only “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” member to rumble in the ring, although family members including stepfather Bruce Jenner, mother Kris, sisters Khloe and Kourtney, and Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick, cheered her on in the audience.
“We were all really angry and upset about what had happened to Rob, but I hadn’t even fought yet and I didn’t want to let the charity down, so I decided to get in the ring,” Kardashian wrote. “My girl was a good sport, but she was tough!” She added, “At the end of the day, we did this for charity and that’s what counts. “You can try to bring the Kardashians down… but we’re a strong family. A concussion and a black eye can’t hold us down!”

Kim jumped into the corner of the ring and made them stop the fight? Talk about drama. Something tells me that this wasn?t about charity, it was probably being filmed for ?Keeping up with the Kardashians.? That?s just my hunch though. I seriously doubt any of the Kardashians ? especially Kim, whose livelihood depends on her good looks ? would put those good looks in jeopardy for a good cause. Some press though? yeah, probably.
What the Daily News didn?t mention were the chicken Kardashians who were scheduled to fight ? and people had bid for ? who backed out. Supposedly because of what happened to Rob, but you know they were just itching for a reason. Rob was just the sacrificial lamb. Newlywed Khloe called off her bout ? and you know she?d be a fierce opponent. How?d they ever find another female of her height to fight her? So did Kourtney?s baby daddy Scott Disick. I bet anything it was all for their show, since the main star still pulled it together.

Sticking with her routine, Sienna Miller was spotted out taking her canine companion, Bess, out for a walk in SoHo on Wednesday (November 4).
Bundled up as she braved the chilly fall weather, the “Layer Cake” cutie smiled as she chatted away on her cell phone during the morning Big Apple romp.
The good mood comes just after Miss Miller took part in a rendezvous with ex-lover Balthazar Getty the previous day.
The one time couple met up at Spazio Spa in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood, where they enjoyed spa treatments after having lunch together at Cafe Habana.

As she continues to emerge from her self-induced silence, Rihanna says she’s leaned on her friends and family over the past year to get through the Chris Brown abuse debacle.
She explained, “My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.”
The “Umbrella” babe also stated that having the media always on her tail didn’t help matters. “I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?”
To make matters worse, a photograph of her bruised face was released onto the internet, causing her even more pain. “That is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life.”

Enjoying a night out on the red carpet, Sofia Vergara turned up for the Columbia Pictures premiere of “2012” on Tuesday night (November 3).
The “Modern Family” actress looked stunning in a purple frock as she arrived at Regal Cinemas LA Live in Los Angeles for the big event.
Meanwhile, Miss Vergara spoke with People magazine about motherhood, telling, “I always tried to do the best for my kid. I was 19 when I had him! I joke that I want him to fail this year so he can stay home another year. He looks at me like, ‘You’re a freak.’ “
Sofia also revealed that she’s friends with singer Shakira, as they were both born in Barranquilla, Colombia.
“I would love for her [Shakira] to do a little acting,” Miss Vergara says, adding, “I told them, ‘Please can we get Sophia Loren as my mother?’” I would love to meet her; I just think she’s fantastic.”

Oh, this is some good gossip too, especially if you?ve been following the ?Eddie Cibrian can?t keep it in his pants - ever? saga. Because we have a return character to the saga!
Back when Eddie was still married to Brandi Glanville, but after the tabloids had exposed his affair with LeAnn Rimes, In Touch Weekly ran an interesting story. It was a tell-all from a ?friend? of a young woman named Scheana Marie Jancon. Allegedly, Scheana and Eddie had been having an affair for about a year before he even met LeAnn Rimes. When Eddie met LeAnn, he ended things with his mistress, Scheana. She -er, I mean, ?her friend? told all to In Touch because she was pissed she got dumped by a married man? but not for his wife, for yet another woman. Scheana also wanted to get some extra press to build up her alleged acting career - not only did she and Eddie have an affair, but she also was John Mayer?s tell-all rebound girl after he and Jennifer Aniston split after the Oscars. In any case, Scheana?s story sounded legit enough, and she had photos of her and Eddie together, on ?vacation? during their affair.
Now Life & Style is reporting that Scheana is back in the picture! Apparently, Eddie is now cheating on LeAnn with his old mistress, Scheana. Oh, this is good:
LeAnn Rimes is about to learn a very tough lesson about love: What goes around comes around. As the world knows, the blond country star, 27, fell for actor Eddie Cibrian, 36, on the set of Northern Lights, a Lifetime TV movie that aired in March. Though both Eddie and LeAnn were married at the time, they began a covert passionate affair. Their secret came out, however, right before Northern Lights premiered, when photos surfaced of the duo sneaking in and out of a beachside Malibu hotel.
Soon after the scandal broke — and both Eddie and LeAnn had filed for divorce from their spouses — Life & Style revealed a bombshell. Not only had Eddie been cheating on his wife with LeAnn, he’d also been carrying on a three-year romance with 24-year-old aspiring actress Scheana Marie Jancan.
Since then, Eddie’s slyly been playing the role of faithful boyfriend to rich and famous LeAnn. But Life & Style can once again expose him for the serial cheater he is.
“Eddie has recently started seeing Scheana again,” an insider tells Life & Style exclusively, noting that they were together on Oct. 21 around 1 a.m. “He told her he’s only with LeAnn for the publicity and that he plans to end things with her soon.”

The last we saw of Eddie and LeAnn together was about two weeks ago, when they went for photo-op sushi and I tried to avoid making fish jokes. It?s been clear for months (clear to me) that LeAnn is eating all of this up. Eddie has seemed more wary of this whole endeavor, sort of. But he seemed to be coming around to LeAnn?s way of thinking, and I thought that he and LeAnn might really settle down in some form. But I guess not. He might be looking for a way out. Or he just doesn?t know how to be monogamous. Or he?s just a douche.

This morning, I read a little item in Page Six about Sienna Miller reuniting with her alleged ex, Slinky Wizard (George Barker). It was an innocuous little report about the two of them shopping for vintage lingerie together, and how it looked like Sienna and Slinky were still together, despite the reports that they had split.
That was fast! Just days after Sienna Miller reportedly gave DJ Slinky Wizard the kiss-off, the PDA-friendly couple was shopping for vintage (but never worn) underwear in SoHo. Our spies caught the Broadway beauty and the Brit disc-spinner (real name, George Barker) snapping up the old-style undies, a “Heart Print” crop top and other items at Only Hearts on Mott Street yesterday.
“They seemed very much a couple,” said our snitch. “George was talking about how he was excited about their plans for the night.”
Last weekend, reports out of London had Miller dumping the Slink-man because she wasn’t up for a transatlantic romance.
“That didn’t look to be the case,” our spy said. And, despite seeming to be a bit behind schedule, Miller “was very pleasant and kind,” said our witness. “She left some pieces in the dressing room when she left and apologized to the staff for not bringing them back out to put on the selling floor.”

Sienna Miller was in a shaggy coat to walk her dog Bess in NYC yesterday, but her company this afternoon was a little more unexpected ? she was spotted getting manicures and massages alongside none other than Balthazar Getty.
The duo tried to go incognito and looked a little shaken up when they realized they’d been spotted. Sienna took off with Bess for another stroll, leaving Balthazar to head elsewhere in his Dodgers cap.
It was recently rumored that Sienna has officially parted ways from her Summer fling, George “Slinky Wizard” Barker, and Jude Law’s reps shot down whispers of their reconciliation. Sienna’s love life is never dull, but it looks like Balthazar’s back in the picture even if George and Jude aren’t.

And unlike other celebrity mothers-to-be, Kourtney isn’t afraid to put on a few pounds. “I’m totally excited to gain weight, and I’m embracing it. I run around naked all day at home! I like that my body is changing. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Miss Kardashian and her babydaddy Scott Disick have been preparing for their arrival by getting educated on their next phase of life. “Scott and I have been going to different parenting classes. They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head, but they’re helpful. They’re a fun thing for Scott and me to do together.”

Now that Rihanna has finally broken her silence about her domestic abuse at the hands of Chris Brown, Mariah Carey has come out to say she feels for the “Take a Bow” songstress.
In a recent interview, Ms. Carey told Larry King, “I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out and if I were just allowed to be young and with a young boyfriend who’s also a star and you know, you’re working and you’re both—I don’t know what goes on. You know what I mean? So it’s like, I wasn’t really allowed out of the house, so I can’t imagine what she went through.”
Mariah also explained that she has suffered from abuse as well- “Abuse has several categories. Emotionally, mentally, in other ways. I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in—if your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in, which I won’t harp on.”
“For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life,” referring to Sony Music CEO/ex-husband Tommy Mottola.

Is anyone more interested in the ?Eddie Cibrian Cheats on LeAnn Rimes Already? story on Life & Style?s cover? I am. Unfortunately, we don?t have that story yet, we only have this Kourtney Kardashian mess. The cover interview isn?t really anything new, which makes me wonder why L&S didn?t just put the Eddie Cibiran-LeAnn Rimes drama as the big cover story instead. Whatever.
In the interview, Kourtney talks about how she ?loves? being pregnant and how she and baby-daddy Scott Disick are taking parenting classes. Good for them. Seriously, I?m not going to mock them for that, even I think they?re both pretty worthless people. It?s a great thing that they?re at least putting some effort into trying to make this experience about bringing a life into this world and being fully responsible for that life. Here?s more:
Talk about a dose of reality! Kourtney Kardashian moved to Miami earlier this year to film a show, Kourtney & Khlo Take Miami, about her and her younger sister as sexy singles in the city. But by the time they made the trek back to LA, Kourtney was carrying a little extra baggage. “It wasn’t something I expected or planned,” Kourtney tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “It was just meant to be.”
Now eight months into the pregnancy, Kourtney, 30, is eagerly preparing to welcome a bouncing baby boy with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Scott Disick, 26, in December. “My pregnancy has been wonderful,” she gushes. “I love being pregnant. I’m excited to be a mom — but I’m nervous.”
And viewers will get to see her take on the new role — and maybe even get a peek inside the delivery room — during season four of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. What they won’t see, however, is Kourt complaining about her burgeoning belly. “I’m totally excited to gain weight, and I’m embracing it,” she tells Life & Style. “I run around naked all day at home! ?They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head?? Okay, I?ll mock her a little for that quote. Does Kourtney get nervous when someone tries to teach her something? Does she get a migraine when someone tries to get her to memorize a fact?
As far as the ?I’ll worry about myself later? marriage stuff, I have to admit, I do wonder if it?s Kourtney who is pulling away from the idea of marriage, or if it?s Scott. I tend to think it?s Scott who is utterly ambivalent about getting hitched, while Kourtney really wants to tie Scott down (in her mind).

'Rob can barely jump rope,' Stewart jokes about co-star's athletic prowess.By Jocelyn Vena

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart certainly have chemistry. The "Twilight" stars may not be dating, but they clearly are close.
When Stewart talks about Pattinson in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar, on newsstands on November 17, she says that her onscreen love is "a great singer. Heartbreaking." Meanwhile, Pattinson calls Stewart "a unique girl. You really don't meet many people like Kristen."

The issue of romance did come up during the interview, when the stars were asked who is the more romantic of the two. "I'd have to say Rob is," Stewart said. "I think romance is anything honest. As long as it's honest, it's so disarming."
Pattinson added that "I'm better at faking." He went on to describe Stewart as tough, saying she doesn't take anything from anyone. "Kristen doesn't take any slack," he explained. "She sticks to her guns — and that's difficult to do."
Although Pattinson may fight bad vamps and fly in the "Twilight" movies, in real life it's Stewart who has more athletic prowess. She said, "I'm definitely claiming that one. Rob can barely jump rope. I call him Flippy because when he does his stunt rehearsals, he flips around [makes gestures like a penguin]. And God, when he tries to run ..."
Pattinson jokes that Stewart spends more time than he does looking herself up online. "[Kristen] would say me, but I reckon it's her. If either one of us catches the other one doing it, we're like, Jesus Christ, is that what you're looking at? And the other one's on their phone pretending to text," he joked. "I look up my competition more than she does. I'm incredibly shallow. I think she just looks at herself."
In photos that accompany the interview, the pair are seen doing various romantic things together, like riding a motorcycle and cuddling. The standout is the shot of Stewart wearing a tight-fitting gown and looking slightly aloof while Pattinson, on his knees, kisses her hand.

She’s always up to something, and last night (November 3) Shakira was spotted making her rounds in Berlin, Germany.
The sexy Columbian songstress definitely looked to be a bit out of her element, as she bundled up to stay warm in the chilly conditions.
Indulging her penchant for nightlife, Shakira hit up the Solarclub shortly before 1am, though she only stayed for 15 minutes, telling the paparazzi, “Hello… sorry it’s too cold for me.”
From there, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer headed back to her swanky room at the Ritz Carlton Hotel to call it a night.

Getting an early start to the day, Catherine Zeta Jones was spotted heading to rehearsal practice for her new Broadway gig in New York City on Wednesday (November 4).
The 40-year-old “Entrapment” actress looked quite stylish as she took her chauffeured ride to the theater, hopping out and heading inside to get started on the day’s workload.
As for her Broadway show, “A Little Night Music” was first seen on Broadway back in 1973, and Trevor Nunn is directing the current revival of the Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler opus.

Is anyone more interested in the ?Eddie Cibrian Cheats on LeAnn Rimes Already? story on Life & Style?s cover? I am. Unfortunately, we don?t have that story yet, we only have this Kourtney Kardashian mess. The cover interview isn?t really anything new, which makes me wonder why L&S didn?t just put the Eddie Cibiran-LeAnn Rimes drama as the big cover story instead. Whatever.
In the interview, Kourtney talks about how she ?loves? being pregnant and how she and baby-daddy Scott Disick are taking parenting classes. Good for them. Seriously, I?m not going to mock them for that, even I think they?re both pretty worthless people. It?s a great thing that they?re at least putting some effort into trying to make this experience about bringing a life into this world and being fully responsible for that life. Here?s more:
Talk about a dose of reality! Kourtney Kardashian moved to Miami earlier this year to film a show, Kourtney & Khlo Take Miami, about her and her younger sister as sexy singles in the city. But by the time they made the trek back to LA, Kourtney was carrying a little extra baggage. “It wasn’t something I expected or planned,” Kourtney tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “It was just meant to be.”
Now eight months into the pregnancy, Kourtney, 30, is eagerly preparing to welcome a bouncing baby boy with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Scott Disick, 26, in December. “My pregnancy has been wonderful,” she gushes. “I love being pregnant. I’m excited to be a mom — but I’m nervous.”
And viewers will get to see her take on the new role — and maybe even get a peek inside the delivery room — during season four of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. What they won’t see, however, is Kourt complaining about her burgeoning belly. “I’m totally excited to gain weight, and I’m embracing it,” she tells Life & Style. “I run around naked all day at home! I like that my body is changing. It’s a beautiful thing.”
And like a good teammate, Scott’s making every effort to redeem himself in the eyes of Kourtney’s family. In the past, she’s accused him of cheating, which he adamantly denies.
“Scott and I have been going to different parenting classes,” Kourtney tells Life & Style. “They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head, but they’re helpful. They’re a fun thing for Scott and me to do together.”
But being a perfect father doesn’t mean Scott will necessarily make Kourtney an honest woman. “I’m 30, but I never was that girl who was like, ‘I need to get married,’” she says. “I never had a plan. Now I have so much to think about for the baby. I’ll worry about myself later.”

?They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head?? Okay, I?ll mock her a little for that quote. Does Kourtney get nervous when someone tries to teach her something? Does she get a migraine when someone tries to get her to memorize a fact?
As far as the ?I’ll worry about myself later? marriage stuff, I have to admit, I do wonder if it?s Kourtney who is pulling away from the idea of marriage, or if it?s Scott. I tend to think it?s Scott who is utterly ambivalent about getting hitched, while Kourtney really wants to tie Scott down (in her mind).

Over a year and a half after it happened, Rihanna is finally opening up about the beating Chris Brown gave her in next month’s issue of Glamour magazine. She says in the interview (via Reuters):
On the ordeal with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown: “I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the
next day.”
On her message to young women: “My story was broadcast all over the world for
people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”
On how she made it back: “My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be — no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.”

You better not ever, ever make fun of Kate Winslet, or she’ll go and sue you for forty grand and somehow win. The technical legal term for said phenomenon is “crybaby puss.” According to Us Magazine
On Tuesday London’s High Court awarded the actress 25,000 British pounds (about $40,000 in American currency) in libel damages from the Daily Mail [for their] January article entitled “Should Kate Winslet win an Oscar for the world’s most irritating actress?” which she said “hurt and embarrassed” her. [The article also] claimed that Winslet, 34, lied about her exercise routine.
In a statement, Winslet said, “I was particularly upset to be accused of lying about my exercise regime and felt that I had a responsibility to request an apology in order to demonstrate my commitment to the views that I have always expressed about body issues, including diet and exercise. To suggest that I was lying was an unacceptable accusation of hypocrisy.”
Back in grade school, we had the remedy for this sort of tattletale-type behavior. It was called “the purple nurple” and “the swirly.” Too bad she’s no longer bound by the rules of afternoon recess.

The Academy Awards have announced the 2010 hosts! They?ve named Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as co-hosts of this awards season?s festivities. There were some rumors going around that the gig had been offered to 2009 Oscars host Hugh Jackman, who turned it down. There was also some mention that Neil Patrick Harris, Jon Stewart and Ricky Gervais might have gotten calls, or gotten mentioned in some meetings, but I don?t really believe any of them were seriously considered. Steve has hosted (solo) twice before, but this will Alec?s first time.
There are two hosts for the Oscars this year: Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
“I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin,” Martin, 64, says in a statement.
Adds Baldwin, 51, “I don’t play the banjo, but I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars ? it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.”
Martin previously hosted the 73rd and 75th Academy Awards. Baldwin was nominated for a 2003 supporting actor nominee for The Cooler.
Both have hosted Saturday Night Live.
“We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars,” said show producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic. “Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event.”
The 82nd Academy Awards air Sunday, March 7, on ABC.

Steve Martin is actually one of my favorite Oscar hosts of the past decade. I found him to be very witty, dry and professional during his previous hosting duties, and I think he?ll shine again with Alec as co-host. But in one of her most revealing-ever interviews, Nicole Kidman let slip how her experiences of love ranged from ?mundane? marriage to ?strange sexual fetish stuff?.
The 42-year-old actress, currently married to country singer Keith Urban, said her life had been about exploring different types of love.
?I?ve explored obsession. I?ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I?ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I?ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy,? she said.

?I became famous very young. I became very famous because I was the wife of somebody,? she told GQ. ?I did a lot of good, worthwhile work in Australia between the ages of 14 and 19 and then I married someone famous. And really, despite the huge profile that brought to me, I was still finding my feet.?
?I know my agents at the time were like ?Do not get married! It will ruin your career!? and I was like ?But I?m in love?. All I know is that I wasn?t someone interested in fame. And that?s not why I got married. I wanted to work with people who intrigued me.?
Miss Kidman married Cruise in 1990, after they became romantically involved on the set of Days Of Thunder. The couple, who have a son Connor and adopted daughter Isabella, split in 2001, less than two months after their tenth wedding anniversary. While rumours have always been rife about the reasons behind their split, Cruise and Kidman have refused to address the speculation.
?I want to honour that marriage for what it was, and there is nothing I would go into about that. I have never discussed the intricacies of it and I never will,? the actress said.
And she revealed how she even set fire to some of her diaries after she married Australian singer Urban in 2006. Talking about people?s obsession with blogs and social networking websites, she said: ?If you know what is going on inside somebody?s head all the time, that?s not a good place.?

Miss Kidman, who gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose ? her first child with Urban ? last year, recently finished filming the big screen version of musical Nine. The film, which also stars Judi Dench, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren and Kate Hudson, was her first film since Sunday Rose was born.

I?ve never gotten drunk with my mother, but it?s something I?ve always meant to do. I?d imagine it would be a lot of fun, in a judgy, where-are-my-grandbabies sort of way. I was reminded of this when I looked at these photos of Madonna and Jesus Luz exiting a club in downtown New York last night. Mama got her drink on, yes? And Jesus has to make sure Mom gets home alright. Jesus was actually working last night - he was deejaying at the party for the DVD release of Valentino: The Last Emperor. He’s only been DJing for a few months, but Jesus Luz is already landing coveted gigs at top celebrity parties.
The Brazilian model is finding it certainly helps to have friends in high places after he landed a job mixing records at fashion designer Valentino Garavani’s star-studded party.
Reunited after the singer’s recent trip to Malawi and London, Madonna and Jesus looked happy to be back in each other’s company as they left The Standard Hotel in New York last night.
Looking younger than her 51 years, Madonna looked slim and toned in a pair of leather trousers and a woollen waistcoat and matching coat. Co-ordinating with his girlfriend, Jesus, 22, showed off his model physique in a tight-fitting black T-shirt and trousers.
The party was held to mark the DVD release of retired designer Valentino’s documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor. With Valentino as the guest of honour, his presence drew Hollywood friends and Manhattan socialites to the bash.
Among the guests was Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, Adrien Brody, film producer Daphne Guinness and socialites Ally Hilfiger and Olivia Palermo.
Providing the entertainment was Jesus, who spun electro house tracks on his decks. Despite expectations to play some of his girlfriend’s music, Jesus said Madonna preferred not to hear her own songs socially.
He said: ‘Sometimes I?ll play something by her. But she?s here tonight and she hears her own stuff almost every day.’
Although working as a full-time model, Jesus has been encouraged to follow his musical interests since he starting dating Madonna last December. Over the summer, the Material Girl was rumoured to have spent 30,000 on DJ equipment for him and asked her tour DJ Enferno to give him lessons.
Jesus has already set up a MySpace page for his DJing and uploaded recent mixes. He has already lined up gigs at the Rivington Hotel Penthouse and Kiss And Fly club in New York over the next few weeks.

I would actually guess that Madonna is a pretty fun drunk. In my mind, Madge drops the faux-British lady act and her Detroit accent comes out when she?s drunk. She probably likes to dance and be the center of attention at the club, much like she wants that all of the time, every day, forever.

Brad Pitt?s motorcycle accident made headlines a few weekends ago. Although there were several different versions of what exactly happened when Brad ?crashed?, the video (that was released a few days later) shows that Brad went in between a row of parked cars and a row of cars waiting at either a stop light or a stop sign. Brad clipped one of the parked car?s rearview mirrors, and he lost his balance, going down. He wasn?t hurt, his bike was scratched up, and there was very minor damage to the parked car.
While Brad was in Japan, for the Japanese premiere of Inglourious Basterds, he answered some questions about the crash. As it turns out, Brad wasn?t riding on a new bike that he was unfamiliar with - he was actually on his ?favorite? motorcycle. So, I have no explanation for his accident other than he just made a mistake, or wasn?t paying attention, or was pulling a douchey bike move:

The actor, in Tokyo to promote his latest movie, “Inglourious Basterds,” said he trashed his favorite bike recently while trying to escape overzealous photographers.
“I had a little mishap,” he said. “No injuries, except my ego. I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story. It was my favorite bike, so that is really sad.”
Pitt, a well-known motorcycle buff, was involved in a minor accident in Los Angeles last month after a paparazzo reportedly cut him off in traffic. He said that while he is in Tokyo he will be looking for a replacement.
“I will definitely be looking at motorcycles,” he said. “You’ve got some of the best builders right here.”
“Inglourious Basterds,” directed by Quentin Tarantino, premiered in Tokyo on Wednesday. As a promotion gimmick, Japanese movie viewers will be given a money-back offer if they are bored after watching the first 60 minutes of the revisionist World War II swashbuckler.
Pitt said he felt lucky to be chosen as the movie’s leading man ? Tarantino had initially planned to cast himself in that part.
“We had heard about this script for about eight years before it came my way, so it had taken on a mythical dimension,” he said. “I was doubly flattered because Quentin originally wrote the part for himself.”
“Inglourious Basterds” follows a band of Jewish American soldiers, led by Tennessean Lt. Aldo Raine (Pitt), who hunt Nazis with the goal of not just killing them but scalping them and sometimes carving swastikas into their foreheads.
“What made me want to make the film is simply that I like war movies,” said Tarantino, who joined Pitt and other cast members at a news conference. “The initial idea sometimes is really as simple as wanting to make a war movie or a car chase movie. The rest goes from there.”

Except that Brad has been growing his junk out for months. So maybe he feels strongly about ?No Shave 2009?. There is no ring to that.

The Josh Duhamel-stripper scandal is the cover story of both People and Us Weekly this week. The news of Josh?s alleged affair with a Georgia stripper broke in last week?s National Enquirer. The Enquirer paid the stripper for her story, and she (and the publication) are not backing down from the epic story of pr0n-filled seduction and sketchiness. Yesterday, the Chicago Sun-Times and the Enquirer even reported that Josh was ?in the doghouse? with Fergie because she knows there is something to the report.
Neither People nor Us Weekly has released their full cover stories online yet, but I?m going to take a wild guess and say that People?s story (?Rocked By Scandal?) is going to basically be written by Fergie and Josh?s publicist. Meanwhile, my guess is that Us Weekly?s story (?Cheating Shock: Fergie Betrayed?) will have some denials, but probably some juicy stuff too. Here?s the version People has online now:
Josh Duhamel and wife Fergie are denying another round of allegations from an Atlanta stripper that she had a one-night stand with the actor.
“This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity,” says Duhamel’s rep. “This story is absolutely ridiculous.”
A rep for Fergie adds: “These allegations are nonsense.”
In her latest interview, Nicole Forrester says she had sex with Duhamel in an Atlanta hotel a week after he came into the Tattletale club, where she works as a dancer. Forrester says she has text messages and polygraph test to back her up.
“We did hook up and had lots of sex and we had a really, really good time,” Forrester told Atlanta radio station Q100’s “Bert Show” on Monday.
Forrester, who originally sold her story to the National Enquirer for more than $20,000, says she now regrets coming forward because her children, a daughter, 10, and son, 13, hadn’t known she was a stripper.
“My son’s like: Mom are you doing anything different now? He doesn’t want me to do this anymore. He doesn’t want me to dance and I feel like I can’t dance,” she says. “I feel like people are just looking at me. It’s just bad. It’s just an uncomfortable situation with my children and all their friends know.”
But when the National Enquirer told her that it would run the story with or without her cooperation, she agreed to an interview and a polygraph, which she says she passed.
“It’s the truth,” she says. “I’m not lying about anything. I have nothing to hide and he’s just guilty as I am.”

Meanwhile, Radar has an interview with ?polygraph expert? Kenneth E. Blackstone, who conducted Nicole Forrester?s (the stripper?s) polygraph test for the Enquirer. Blackstone claims that Nicole was telling the truth:
Blackstone is a board-certified polygraph examiner and expert witness regarding the proper use of polygraph in civil, clinical and criminal testing settings about allegations of rape, child molestation, child abuse, and child homicide. He has thirty years of experience and has conducted more than 15,000 examinations and has more than one hundred court appearances as an expert witness. He conducted the polygraph test of Forrester at his headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
Blackstone tells RadarOnline.com, “In my 30 year career I have conducted between 15,000 and 20,000 polygraph examinations. The polygraph examination showed Nicole Forrester was being non-deceptive, telling the truth when she answered my questions. One of those questions was had she had sex with Josh Duhamel. And she answered yes.”
Forester’s account of Duhamel in her strip club has been verified by another eyewitness. And RadarOnline.com has learned that there are other incendiary charges affecting both Forester and Duhamel - charges that haven’t become public YET. Story developing.

I?ve said before, once I read the full story in the Enquirer, I believed that Josh had cheated. I?m not saying the stripper is being 100% honest, but I do think she and Josh had sex. Days after Vanity Fair released an interview with Robert Pattinson in which he declared he was just “friends” with Kristen Stewart, the two spent the night together at Hollywood’s famed Chateau Marmont on Oct. 29, Usmagazine.com has learned.
The next morning, a source tells Us they shared breakfast together from Noah’s Bagels (a plain bagel with walnut cream cheese for him; a blueberry with butter for her).
Around 8:30 a.m., they were taken directly to Hollywood’s Deluxe Laboratories for a screening of New Moon.
“Rob wanted a cigarette so he went outside with Kristen for about 15 minutes,” the source tells Us. “They were hugging, as Rob was smoking his cigarette and then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. He had his arm around her almost the whole time.”
What did they think of New Moon (out Nov. 20)?
They gave it two thumbs up.
“They were really happy with the way it turned out and gave great feedback,” the source tells Us.

Joss Stone gave a recent interview in which she claimed that Lily Allen ?can?t sing? and that Lily is ?more of a personality than she is a singer?. Now? here?s the thing. I don?t hate Lily Allen, but I think she?s a famewhore. And I like Joss?s voice, but her personality seems very? vanilla? Like, smug vanilla, though. Joss also seemed to be criticizing any singer (or perhaps any person) who wanted to, you know, actually make a lot of money doing what they love. As in, ?Who said that musicians have to be millionaires? Who made this a rule? We don?t need that much money. We just don?t. We only need enough to make music and to eat and to go on tour.? Uh?
Joss Stone has launched an attack on fellow British singer Lily Allen, saying she ?can?t sing.? She believes that Lily is more of a personality rather than a singer.
Lily is currently campaigning to try and make internet file sharing a criminal offense, to which Joss says, ?She needs to sell records because she?s not a singer, and that?s not an offense to her because I think that she knows that too.?
?I think she?s a performer and she?s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that?s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it?s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts.?
“It?s really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that?s how they make their money is selling those records.?

I just don?t know which side to choose? probably neither.

Luckily, people are obsessed with me without the $12 million. I don’t like obscene amounts of money to interfere with my staying grounded.
