Getting into the holiday spirit, Joss Stone had the honor of turning on the Christmas lights at Hard Rock Caf Piccadilly in London, England on Tuesday (December 1).
The rocker chick smiled as she posed for pictures and greeted a crowd of onlookers, joining musical act O.A.R. for the day’s festivities.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old has scorned Russell Brand and Kanye West over their acts during the past years award ceremonies. The singer had a falling out with Brand at the Brit Awards in 2007 when she stood up for Robbie Williams after Brand made fun of his rehab treatment.
But this year, she is furious with West concerning his incident with Taylor Swift. “(Brand’s) a disgusting pig. Mean, mean, mean. What he said about Robbie was horrible. You can’t kick someone when they’re down… But that’s the kind of person Russell Brand is. He’s just unpleasant… I just think some people are genuinely nasty characters, and he’s one of them. I’m glad I don’t know him...”
Adding, she says, “What Russell Brand did to Robbie is just like what Kanye did to Taylor. I don’t care how talented you are: doing things like that is not nice. So f**k off… Kanye just wants attention. As simple as that… let’s not make excuses. It’s not fair to judge other people and to try to destroy their careers. Come on! Just stop it. Be nice!”

While Rihanna is happy that the media's focus is on her new album, Rated R, instead of Chris Brown's assault against her,, she said things will never be the same for her.
"It's a different life," she told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Tuesday (December 1). "It's definitely more intense. Every day is another curveball, but now I know how to handle it. Every time you get put in a situation, it somehow makes you stronger. ... I've always been very guarded, so that just continues. ... I won't give you any more than I want to."
On the show, Rihanna also addressed rumors that her father has been trying to reconcile with his superstar daughter. "That sounds very strange to me, since I've been the one trying to reconcile with him forever. I haven't heard from my father in over a year. I try, though. I've reached out to him," she explained, adding, "He did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media and got paid to talk about stuff, like all these interviews after the situation in February. I hadn't spoken to him, and he was speaking as though we did."
Rihanna said there are certain stories she didn't get to tell on Rated R, but she's happy with the way the album came out. "This album is my life, but every day, my life changes," she said. "Every experience is a learning experience, so who knows what I'll write about next?"
Aside from all the work she's doing to promote the album, including shooting her video for her next single "Hard," she said now isn't the right time to get back into the world of dating. "I'm just too busy," she said. "Maybe [I'll get married someday]. Marriage is much more than a gown."

Taking care of her motherly responsibilities, Cate Blanchett was spotted out and about with two of her sons at a Midtown Manhattan park today (December 1).
The “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” babe looked to be enjoying herself as she spend some quality time with her boys Dashiell (7) and Ignatius (19 months).
In a recent interview, Cate revealed that she’s grateful to have three sons. “Having boys is great. It’s a neat position to be in and I love the high energy that comes along in raising boys. It’s fun.”
Ms. Blanchett also confessed to loving housework. “I enjoy vacuuming. It’s a very satisfying noise when you hear all that grit sucked up from the floor and into the machine. Vacuuming is a big one for me and it’s those simple things that keep my life grounded. It can be quite therapeutic!”

Mila Kunis is the cover girl for the December/January issue of Blackbook Magazine. At 26 years old, Mila has found herself on the precipice of movie stardom after being one of the best parts of the ensemble of That 70s Show, and stealing scenes away from Jason Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Now she?s playing in the big leagues, working with Darren Aronofsky and Natalie Portman in Black Swan. Mila is promoting her supporting role in The Book of Eli, but all anyone wants to talk about is her angry, druggy sex with Natalie Portman in Black Swan, which is filming right now and won?t be out until next year. But Mila can?t or won?t talk about the movie, so what?s the point, really? I guess the pictures are the point. She does look pretty - but she kind of sounds like an a-hole in the interview (full Blackbook piece here):

Here?s the thing - I think Mila is a really pretty little thing, and some of these photographs of her are gorgeous? but doesn?t she seem strange, and not in a good way? Granted, I only skimmed the full Blackbook interview, and she is self-effacing and nice, sometimes. But I think she?s gotten into that groove that a lot of young actors have where they think they?re always going to be getting work, and they?ll always have a steady paycheck, and so they get a bit of chip on their shoulder. I could be off-base, completely. Mila could totally be a nice girl, and I?m just reading the interview the wrong way. But she seems full of herself.

After catching up on her rest following a late night on the town, Jessica Simpson was spotted leaving the Ritz Carlton hotel in Manhattan on Tuesday (December 1).
The “Dukes of Hazzard” damsel showed off her sweet smile as she hit the luxury hotel’s exit, strutting past awaiting paparazzi before hopping into a chauffeured car.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Jess spent last night cheering on her sister Ashlee during her debut in the Broadway show “Chicago”.
Joining her parents in the crowd, Miss Simpson’s dad, Joe, spoke with Us magazine, saying that “[Jessica] is in her element. We finished a great TV show [VH1’s Price of Beauty] that you’ll be seeing in March, and I think you’ll love it.”

Hayden Panettiere, who claims that she’s not like the rest of us and thinks that the public wants to “destroy” celebrities, is continuing to give her ex boyfriend, Milo Ventimiglia, a hard time on the set of their show Heroes. Hayden and Milo split way back in February, and there were reports in March that she was trying to get him kicked off the show and refused to be around him on set. That’s understandable a month after a breakup, but it’s been nearly 10 months and Hayden still hasn’t found a way to exist peacefully at work with her ex. Her fat paycheck and Heroes’ low ratings don’t seem to be motivating her either. The National Enquirer reports that Milo is trying to be nice to Hayden on set but that she’s not having it and is giving him dirty looks, treating him like crap and talking smack about him to the producers:
“Haydens… never been dumped before, and when they resumed shooting the new season, she began taking out her hostilities on Milo,” said the insider.
“She’s been bad-mouthing Milo behind the scenes to the producers. She gripes about doing scenes with him and flashes him dirty looks when they are not shooting…
“Milo hoped they could maintain a professional relationship…”
When Milo tried to smooth things over with Hayden, “she acted like she didn’t know what he was talking about,” the source said.
“Hayden told Milo ‘Will you please get over yourself! Your ego is getting in the way of my acting!’”

I believe this story about a girl who once explained that she gives fans a “half smile” as a “survival skill.” She’s full of herself and she can’t handle it that she got dumped. How lame for Hayden that she’s letting it affect her work and is still holding on to a bitter grudge after nearly a year.

Ah, remember when Justin Timberlake was in N?Sync? Remember boy bands and bad hair and bad fashion and cheesy ballads and five guys making video that looked like soft-core gay pr0n? Ah, the late 90s? a simpler time. I was reminded of those simpler days when looking at these photos of Justin Timberlake on the set of The Social Network. It?s a film where JT plays Sean Parker, the founder of Facebook and co-founder of Napster. Look at JT?s hair!!! It?s taking me back. I love it. Actually, I don?t. I mean, he looks horrible with his hair grown out, and it makes him look about 12 years old. With his hair cropped short, he can pass for 15 years old.
People Magazine is conducting a poll on JT?s retro hair - vote early and vote often. Unfortunately, there?s no ?I think he always looks like a little boy? option. Also, we can?t vote on JT?s awesome NPR t-shirt. That?s my favorite thing about these pictures too - and I don?t think it?s part of his costume. I think JT owns an NPR shirt, because he donates to public broadcasting! Hurray!

Out amidst break-up rumors, Reese Witherspoon was spotted in London, England last night (Nov 30).
The blonde beauty showed absolutely no interest in being photographed by the paparazzi as she left La Petite Maison restaurant just after 11pm to head back to her hotel.
Earlier in the week, there was word of Reese and boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, calling it quits on the relationship, according to an unknown source.
Since the chatter, however, a spokeswoman for both actors denied reports of the break-up and said, “They are still together.”
The couple began dating shortly after Witherspoon’s divorce from Ryan Phillippe at end of 2007.

Nicole Richie is already a “writer” and a very successful designer. (I don? t think she likes to call herself a ?socialite? anymore). And she?s a mom to two young kids. Even by Hollywood standards, she?s got a good deal on her plate. But that isn?t stopping her from trying to officially become an actress. She?s created a sitcom that?s been picked up by ABC, and it sounds like it has the potential to be decent. So far the plot that they?ve discussed sounds really generic, but it?s in its early phases and still vague. And they?ve got good writers and producers attached, which means it could end up being good.
If you thought Nicole Richie’s reality show was a bit too scripted, what about a scripted show that seems true to life? The Hollywood socialite, 28, is developing an ABC sitcom in which she would both star and produce. Variety says the show will use a single camera, and the concept was Richie’s idea.
Daisy Gardner (Californication) is due to write it, while Warren Bell (According to Jim) will executive produce and supervise the pilot script, reports the trade paper.
“The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships,” Richie writes on her Web site. “She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.” The mother of two says she’ll use what she sees in her real life to create the show. (Besides this ABC project, Richie is at work on her second novel, not to mention the unveiling of her clothing and shoe labels).
“Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman?s role should be in this era,” she writes.
“I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special (and funny!). We?re still in the very early stages and I can?t wait to share more with you soon!”

The whole, “The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships,” sounds insanely dull and like something that?s been done (blandly) about a hundred times. But Nicole is known for her edgy (and sometimes way too over the line) sense of humor, which was often displayed on ?The Simple Life.? We haven?t heard about much of her bad behavior in a long time, but maybe if she still has that in her, she could bring some spunk and fire to the show. But right now everything she?s said sounds like she?s playing it safe, and to rather dull effect. There are so few good sitcoms on anymore, but it seems like people are missing them and there are a few new ones popping up every season. It?d be nice if Nicole did something to set hers apart so it actually stayed around, instead of going to ABC family friendly/every night is TGIF route.

While other celebrities aren’t worried about being a role model, Carrie Underwood takes it very seriously.
The country singer said, “I take it very seriously, and my motto is I would never want to do anything that would embarrass my own children, in the future. And I think that’s the best way to look at things.”
And that isn’t the only reason she isn’t turning into a party girl. “I never want to do anything that would make my parents, you know, my role models, disappointed in me.”
American Idol’s fame didn’t take over the 26-year-old either. The “Before He Cheats” singer adds that she wouldn’t change a thing about the experience - not even Simon Cowell ripping her apart.

A “source” close to Britney Spears’ has categorically denied reports that Britney spooked her on-again boyfriend, CAA agent Jason Trawick, with an unsolicited marriage proposal. We’ve heard rumors for some time that Britney is either gunning for an engagement or is already engaged. She’s also been seen out with engagement-like rings on her significant left ring finger several time. Last week’s OK! Magazine claimed that Britney and Jason were getting married and that she got her young son’s blessing as if preschoolers are regularly consulted in such life-changing decisions. OK! has also had multiple fake Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson covers, so you can’t put much trust in them lately.
Another tabloid reporting an “engagement” story this week is In Touch, which claims that Britney is pushing Jason into proposing partly because she’s hoping to escape her father’s conservatorship. In Touch also claims that Britney of course wants to pin Jason down. They quote a “source” who says “She’s already reading bridal magazines… She likes having Jason in her life and wants to keep him around… Her biggest fear is that he will leave her.”
An Australian gossip rag seems to have taken the engagement rumors a step further by claiming that Britney proposed to Jason during her tour there and that he flat out rejected her. I wasn’t able to verify the exact origin of this story, but I think it’s from News.com.au. (They just as easily could have picked it up somewhere else and run it without sourcing it.)
People reports that a “source” has denied this story, and says there was no proposal and that Britney and Jason aren’t engaged. Britney and Jason are said to be “very happy” though, and the source explained that although Jason left Australia before Britney he “spent more time in Australia than originally planned.”
I tend to believe the rumors that Britney would love to get engaged and that she’s either subtly or not-so-subtly dropping hints about it to Jason. She posed for paparazzi photos several times in which she held out her hand to show what looks like an engagement ring. That kind of behavior probably extends to her personal life too.
These two do seem happy as and while they did go through a rough patch they’re probably committed again now. You often seen Jason out with Britney’s sons. He seems like he really adores them. I don’t see him proposing, though. He may be into Britney but she’s not the most stable person and that’s got to be in the back of his mind.
Britney is back in LA after completing her tour of Australia. Her tour went off really well, with only one arguably minor lip syncing controversy. She has no further tour dates lined up, so we’re sure to be treated to plenty of photos of her out to dinner and shopping. I wonder what else she’ll get up to.

It comes out today, so all of the H8ers can stand in line at Borders. As many know, I feel very strongly that this guy is a hack, a fraud, and simply a sh-tty entertainment journalist. The Huffington Post already detailed some of the errors in Halperin?s reporting, but since people love (or love to hate) all things Brangelina, I bring you some highlights from Halperin?s book, provided lovingly by the NY Post. The complete excerpt is here, and these are the basics:
Sex brought Brad and Angelina together: It was the electrifying love-making that brought Brangelina together, says Halperin. “Brad had never had such incredible sex,” Halperin says. “My sources say that they sometimes spent 18 to 20 hours a day in bed. But sex eventually wears off.”
Brad has gone downhill in the relationship: Now, Halperin claims, the couple “argues like cats and dogs — everything from politics to clothes the kids wear and Brad’s ‘atrocious habit,’ which includes pot smoking and alcohol. I talked to several people in Brad’s family who wished they’d break up today. They’re scared for Brad’s safety and his well-being,” he says.
Brangelina?s fights: A limo driver who drove Brangelina frequently witnessed them “going at it in the back seat” twice and saw a “U-turn” in their relationship in 2007. “I was more worried about his safety than hers,” the driver says. “She really flew off the handle, threatening him and lashing out at him. I can’t imagine how anyone would want to be with her every day, no matter how sexy she is. She has a temper like a cobra.”
A woman who worked with Brad on Troy, before he even met Angelina, claims: “There are apparently screaming matches, usually with her doing the screaming. Nobody really witnesses that part of it — they just see him leaving in a huff. But then he ends up coming back again, and nobody knows what happened to bring him back.”
Brad could have cheated on Angelina: The most persistent story that crops up time and again involves Pitt and a beautiful Sudanese model, Amma, whom he met at a benefit for Darfur at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. He was seen with her at least one more time. Jolie has allegedly accused Pitt of cheating on her on more than one occasion, which is one of the reported sources of tension between the two, Halperin writes.
Jennifer Aniston get paranoid when she?s high: Another tension is Pitt’s pot use, the book states. According to a well-known Hollywood journalist, “[Pitt and Aniston] spent much of their married life stoned. But whereas he was chilled out, she could get pretty paranoid.”
Angelina will blame Brad?s drug use when they split: A woman who works for an industry publication says his drug use will give Jolie an easy way to explain their split, when it inevitably happens: “They’ll be split within 18 months, probably sooner,” she told Halperin. “And here’s how it’s going to play out. They’re going to split amicably, work out some kind of arrangement with the kids, and everything will be very civilized. Then you’re going to see unidentified friends leak stories how Angelina couldn’t put up with Brad’s partying and drinking and his pot smoking. She’s worried about the kids, and she’s afraid it’s not the right environment for them. Maybe he’ll even take part of the blame and go along with that.
Angelina is the devil: Halperin claims that Pitt’s biggest problem with Jolie is her controlling nature. “She won’t let [Pitt] out of the house alone,” he said. “She’s very guarded about him. I don’t think she’s evil, but she’s manipulative, deceiving and cunning.”
Jennifer Aniston miscarried twice while married to Brad: She was thought to be pregnant twice during her marriage — both times ending in miscarriage, in 2003 and 2004, according to Halperin. Pitt and Aniston even built a dream nursery at their Beverly Hills mansion. She had already designated a large, light-filled space in the corner of the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion as a nursery for their expected baby, Halperin writes. Aniston supervised its transformation from beginning to end during the extensive renovation process. “It wasn’t just a room where you’d stick a crib and a mobile,” a contractor said. “It was quite elaborate, and she had very specific ideas about it. They never decorated it as I saw, though,” explained the contractor. “We’re talking 2003. Maybe they were waiting to know whether the baby would be a boy or a girl.”
Angelina employs nannies: Jolie and Pitt employ a “multicultural” team of nannies to care for their young brood, Halperin writes. In fact, the children often spend more time with those nannies than they do with their parents, who spend weeks at a time shooting films and on goodwill trips, sometimes with a child or two in tow but never with all of them. A hotel employee at the Dorchester Hotel in London once overheard 3-year-old Shiloh refer to one of her nannies as “Mommy,” Halperin writes. The employee also observed celebrity efforts to broadcast an image of a happy family. “There’s sometimes as much of a production involved in avoiding the wrong shot as there is in making a movie,” she confided. “Stars will never allow the nanny to be photographed with their kids. . . Sometimes you’ll even have the nanny crouched down in the back seat of a car. It’s quite comical.”

Last week, the New York Daily News ran a report detailing how Jude Law and Sienna Miller are probably bangin? again. They?re both on Broadway right now - in separate plays. Apparently, they?ve been seeing each other, reminiscing, getting drunk, and you know, getting busy. The two were once engaged, for those who may remember. They got together in late 2003/early 2004, got engaged around Christmas 2004, and then the nanny thing happened in 2005. After that, they were on and off for about a year. By all accounts, they did remain friends, and Sienna brings Jude up in pretty much every interview since. Now Star Magazine has a report that Sienna and Jude spent Thanksgiving together? getting pizza. There better be turkey on that pizza!

The Brits, who are both living in Manhattan while appearing in roles on Broadway, celebrated the American holiday together at the Italian restaurant Emporio in the Nolita section of New York City.
Arriving just after midnight on Thursday, Jude and Sienna ? who are starring in Hamlet and After Miss Julie, respectively ? took a table, where they ordered pizza ? and a $350 bottle of wine.
“They were offered a private table in the back, but Jude and Sienna turned it down,” an insider tells Star. “They had no problem flaunting their love right in the middle of the restaurant. They definitely looked like they were head-over-heels for each other.”
Although their reps denied recent reports that they’d reconciled, the couple ? who broke off their engagement in 2006 following his cheating scandal with his kids’ nanny ? didn’t skimp on public displays of affection.
“They came in holding hands and kept touching each other and kissing throughout the entire meal,” says the insider. “They only had eyes for each other!”
Jude picked up the check ? leaving $100 tip ? and they left together in the same car.
The actor also recently made headlines when model Samantha Burke, whom he briefly romanced last year, gave birth to his daughter, Sophia, in September. Several weeks after the baby’s birth, Samantha told a British magazine that Jude hadn’t travelled to Florida to meet the child, nor had he sent any presents.
He has three other children with his ex-wife, Sadie Frost.

Well, hello Sailor! George is looking good to me for some reason this morning. I like that he looks a little dirty and scruffy. It?s working. Clooney brought his girlfriend Elisabetta and his mom Nina to the Los Angeles premiere of Up In The Air last night. Everybody wore black, like it was a Johnny Cash theme night. Clooney often wears all black, because he loves the monochromatic look, but I expected more from Elisabetta. She doesn?t look like a kinky, gold-dogging, trophy girlfriend! What the hell? She looks? dare I say? respectable. Elisabetta, is that even you?
On the red carpet, Radar caught up with Clooney and they even got him to ?crack? a joke (video here):
George Clooney’s reputation as a jokester was solidified on the red carpet in Los Angeles Monday night at the premiere of his new film Up in the Air.
“I’m up in the air on mostly on the crack that I’m on right now,” the ever so dashing Clooney exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
Should we be worried about this? Is the most gorgeous man in Hollywood going to be checking into rehab?
“Rehab is the woosy way, that’s the new Hollywood way,” he explained to us. “We go the old way, which is just party through it!”
Also on hand were his good friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, fresh from their Mexican Thanksgiving vacation with George and his lovely Italian girlfriend Elizabeth Canalis, who took pictures with George but did not walk the carpet and answer questions.
So we had to ask, is Clooney up in the air about marriage too? “Exactly,” he charmingly told us.
In Up In The Air, Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a jaded man whose job is to fire people from their jobs. When his boss hires arrogant young Natalie, she develops a method of video conferencing that will allow termination without ever leaving the office - essentially threatening the nomadic existence Ryan loves.
Determined to show Natalie the error of her logic, Ryan takes her on one of his cross country firing trips, but as she starts to realize the disheartening realities of her profession, he begins to see the downfalls to his way of life.
Up In The Air opens Friday, December 4.

But Up In the Air is getting solid reviews, despite it?s somewhat crummy subject matter. Last night was Ashlee Simpson?s big Broadway debut in Chicago. You couldn?t pay me to sit through it, but Ashlee seems to be getting average to solid reviews, and she seems to have bounced back from being publicly and rudely dumped off of Melrose Place. People were also noting how thin Ashlee looked on stage, and in life. Especially compared to sister Jessica, who showed up for her sister?s big debut. Jessica wore a cute little sequined mini-dress that showed off her epic curves - so, yeah, comparisons were made, but I won?t get into that. I think they both look fine. Twitch? okay, okay, Ashlee should eat a sandwich. That?s all I?ve got.
Ashlee Simpson will be doing Chicago for a 10-week run that ends February 7, 2010. Jessica praised her sister on Twitter, writing ?Roxie was all Heart! Watching her up on that grandiose stage made me the proudest sister in the world. I love ya honey, I love ya!?
Monday night?s performance of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre in NYC might have marked Ashlee Simpson?s Broadway debut, but it wasn?t the former Melrose Place star who was overwhelmed by anxiety ? it was her big sister Jessica!
Before the curtain rose last night, Jessica admitted to her mom Tina ? who sat between Jess and her dad, Joe ? that she was a bag of nerves.
?She kept turning to her mom and saying she had butterflies,? one onlooker at the theater tells OK!. ?It was very cute. She must have said it five times after she took her seat.?
And it looks like those butterflies might have been genetic, as Tina was overheard admitting to a friend sitting nearby that, ?We?re both going to cry? We brought Kleenex.?
With only moments to go before the show, Jess even sent a frantic text to a friend saying, ?She?s about to go on!!!!!! Pray!!!!!!?
Jess also sent a text over to Ashlee?s husband Pete Wentz, who was only a few seats away, presumably to offer last-minute moral support to the Fall Out Boy bassist.
According to the witness, when Ashlee took the stage as the wily Roxie Hart ? a role she?d already portrayed onstage in London ? Jessica gripped her mom?s arm.
At the intermission, Tina quickly left her seat, saying, ?She asked me to go backstage ? I always do.?
Meanwhile Jessica was beaming over Ashley?s big moment playing a part made famous on the silver screen by Renee Zellweger. ?I love that she?s her own Roxie ? she?s done it her own way.?
And when Pete came over to gush about Ashley, he revealed his own tactics for beating the nerves.
?I?m a little drunk,? he confessed, leaning in very close to Jessica. When she asked him if he was still nervous, Pete replied, ?No. I just need to pee.?
Although it was her little sis? evening, Jess did take a moment to reflect on other matters ? those toned dancers!
?Doesn?t this show make you want to work out?,? Jessica asked a friend. ?Watching those girls, I?m like, ?I need to get in shape.??
Meanwhile, she said that Ashlee looks ?so skinny? on the stage.
When the final curtain came down and the Simpson family had finally finished their standing ovation, Jessica could no longer contain her emotions.
?I?m always so proud of my sister,? a weeping Jess confessed to OK!. ?I think she frickin? nailed it!?
Tina Simpson put her hand on Jessica?s arm and said: ?She always cries!?

Moving right along from her failed attempt on “Melrose Place,” Ashlee Simpson made a triumphant debut on Broadway last night in “Chicago.”
The “Pieces of Me” songstress looked lovely as she played the role of Roxie at the Ambassador Theatre, with husband Pete Wentz and parents Tina and Joe Simpson in the audience.
Also in the house was sister Jessica Simpson, who was reportedly quite nervous for her little sis. An eyewitness told press, “She kept turning to her mom and saying she had butterflies. It was very cute. She must have said it five times after she took her seat.”
And Jess was reportedly quiet pleased with Ashlee’s performance. “I love that she’s her own Roxie — she’s done it her own way. I’m always so proud of my sister. I think she frickin’ nailed it!”

It has been awhile since her days on “The Simple Life,” and now Nicole Richie is ready to show off her acting chops on a new television show.
The still-untitled project is reportedly based on Nicole’s original idea and will be written by Daisy Gardner, who works on the massive hit “30 Rock.”
Taking to her blog, Miss Richie explained, “I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half hour scripted comedy ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.”
She continued, “The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.”
“Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman’s role should be in this era. I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special (and funny!). We’re still in the very early stages and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!”

The multimillionaire music mogul unveiled his newly hairless hands to 14 million viewers last night on ITV?s ?X Factor,? where he is a judge, according to the Daily Mail. His no-longer hirsute knuckles and fingers were in sharp contrast to his forearms, which are still covered by dark, thick hair, according to the paper.
Cowell, who reportedly displays his hairy chest in the Caribbean during the holiday season, according to the Mail, has said he?s also gotten injections to smooth out the lines in his face.
?I?ve had Botox,? Cowell told the Daily Mail. ?But, then again, pretty much everyone I know has, except Cheryl Cole.?
With men now spending a reported $38 billion a year in the U.S. on grooming and plastic surgery, it?s hardly a surprise that waxing is getting so popular, says Michele Probst, celebrity makeup artist and founder of Menaji Skincare.

Getting used to the single life once more, Avril Lavigne was spotted out for a photo shoot in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (November 30).
Not far removed from her split from ex-hubby Deryck Whibley, the “Sk8ter Boy” singer strutted into the studio while getting some help from her brother Matthew when her hot black zippered pants created some discomfort.
According to a source on the scene, Matthew kept a very close eye on his younger sister, making sure she didn’t reveal too much when she unzipped her pants to tuck them into her waist.
The sighting comes after rumors of a random hookup for Miss Lavigne during a recent trip to NYC, which follows reports that she was getting cozy with Wilmer Valderrama.
Of the situation, an insider told Life & Style, “They have been friends since working together on Fast Food Nation in 2005, but things heated up last month. One of their first dates was Oct. 29 at Nobu in West Hollywood.”

Offering up her sisterly support, Jessica Simpson attended the opening night of her sister’s performance in Chicago at the Ambassador Theater in NYC on Monday (November 30).
Showing off her cheerful smile, the “Dukes of Hazzard” damsel squeezed past a crowd of bystanders as she headed into the theater to cheer on Ashlee.
Taking to her Twitter account to boost interest, Jess wrote last night, “I’m in NYC for my sis being Roxy in Chigaco tomorrow night. I’ve looked forward to this moment since I watched her own the stage in London.”
A little while later, Miss Simpson added, “Everyone in NewYork come tomorrow night and watch my sister at her best!!! I’ll be there celebrating her return!”

Making her way back to the States, Rihanna touched down at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Monday (November 30).
The “Umbrella” singing beauty was decked out in a casual all-black ensemble as she trekked through the terminal after a long flight from London.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Ri-Ri took to the stage at “X-Factor” the previous night for a killer performance of her latest single “Russian Roulette.”
During the show, she revealed that she’ll be going on tour this spring, with tickets going on sale in two weeks. “I can’t wait to come back here,” Rihanna said of England.

Making the long flight home to the States, Britney Spears was spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California on Monday (November 30).
Escorted through the terminal by her trusty security staffer, the “Gimme More” singer looked happy to be back home after finishing up the final leg of Circus tour in Australia.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Brit-Brit seems to be set on writing off any future visits to Australia - as she was reportedly “extremely upset” by the coverage her tour received from the lip-synching fiasco.
“She’s a human being,” Promoter Paul Dainty told press. “I’m embarrassed - with such a big international entourage here with Britney - to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.”

Hot on the promotional trail, Miranda Kerr was spotted dropping by MTV Studios in Times Square on Monday evening (November 30).
Following a morning pharmacy errand run, the catwalk cutie headed over to the Big Apple set for a press appearance on the TV show “It’s On with Alexa Chung”.
The MTV visit comes as Miss Kerr helps to boost interest in tomorrow night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show - which airs at 10/9C on CBS.
Having been previously taped in NYC, the VS extravaganza features the lingerie giant’s latest looks - all on display via Miss Kerr and her fellow Victoria’s beauties.

I have always considered model Alessandra Ambrosio a hottie, but these photos from DT Magazine are absolutely scorching! Now, please do not get me wrong. I love Alessandra as a Victoria’s Secretmodel, and I liked herin all the regular bikini shoots we’ve seen her in too, but these photos from DT are simply exceptional! These pics have some great locations, awesome lighting, and some great angles. And it doesn’t hurt that Alessandra Ambrosio is at the top of her game. Damn DT, keep this up and I am renewing my magazine subscription!
