Sharing an afternoon to celebrate the birth of their close friend, David and Victoria Beckham were spotted arriving at Simon Fuller?s house in London, England on Monday (July 9).
The stunning duo was dressed to the nines as the brunette beauty rocked one of her self-titled collection dresses while her hubby looked dapper in a customized suit as they prepared for the birthday celebrations.
Although he may not be on the Olympic team, the London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe recently said that the 37-year-old soccer hunk has ?two very clear roles? for the summer games.
Beckham was a key figure in the bid team that helped secure the Olympics in 2005 and is one of the most visible celebrity supporters of it in the years since.
Coe said, ?We are scoping a role for him at the moment... I actually spoke to him over the course of the weekend,? adding, ?He will be more than an ambassador given what he has done, the commitment he has given and the amount of time he has spent with us in London on this project.?

Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her second bastard child with Patrick Bateman Scott Disick on Sunday, a baby girl she named Penelope Disick. It’s funny because until she’s about three or four, it’ll sound like she’s saying “Pee Pee Dick” when she tries to say her name. Once she masters hard consonants, though, you can rest assured that her elementary school peers will be there to pick up slack. Radar Online says:
Via an all-natural birth, [Kourtney] delivered the 7-pound, 14-ounce tot at Los Angeles’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early Sunday morning.
Kourtney told E! in a statement: “Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives.”
Scotland? Really? Ten bucks says neither one of those stupid twats could point out Scotland on a map. He just liked it because it has the word “Scott” in it. GOD I hate that entire family.

After kicking off her morning with an iced coffee from Starbucks, the Victoria's Secret Angel browsed at stores like Maxfield before enjoying a long afternoon on the Pacific with husband Jamie Mazur, their daughter, Anja, and some friends.
During the waterside play time, Alessandra showed off her bikini bod while playing a game of volleyball clad in a colorful bikini top and a pair of white daisy dukes.
The 31-year-old later turned her attention to her three-year-old daughter, Anja, as the duo built sandcastles, collected seashells and took a dip in the cool Ocean waters.

As of late, Ms. Agron has been enjoying some time off from her hit FOX show ?Glee? and is said to be dating ?Catfish? director Henry Joost.

It?s slower than slow and deader than dead today, so I hope you enjoy these new Colin Farrell photos just because they?re basically the only new photos worth covering. Colin is in Paris, and this is the first of many international photo calls for Total Recall, which comes out on August 3rd ? the Dark Knight Rises comes out on July 20, two weeks beforehand. Will TDKR still be the #1 film two weeks after its release? Probably. But it doesn?t follow that just because everyone will still be going to see TDKR that no one will see Total Recall. I do think Total Recall will probably make some major money. But will it be enough? Enough to prove that Colin Farrell is a leading man who can deliver a box office? I don?t know.
You know what?s surprising? I can?t find any new Colin interviews. I wonder if he?s going to appear on any of the August covers of any men?s magazines? He shares the latest cover of Maxim with Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, but he barely says a word in the ?interview? (he does say his favorite word is ?bollocks?). Does Colin not do longer magazine confessionals anymore? He seems very press-shy these days, for no real reason ? I mean, he?s very well-spoken and he?s not a crazy alcoholic or drug-user these days, and he seems super-professional. Let him do some interviews, for the love of God.
Anyway, Colin is looking really good to me in these photos. He looks so good in blue. I want him to have more career success, and not just in a succession of weirdly-timed remakes. Give this dude some original material. Give him a good drama!

Staying busy on the promotional trail, Colin Farrell dropped into Paris, France for a ?Total Recall? photocall today (July 9).
The Hotel Costes was the place to be this morning, as the ?Recruit? stud showed up to work his magic for the press and field a few questions.
During a recent interview, Colin talked about his experience getting back into the big budget film genre with ?Total Recall.?
"I found it continuously challenging, not just in a physical way, but in an emotional way and in an intellectual way, and hopefully that comes across. And there?s action sequences so spectacular that it?ll be worth your two hours and ten dollars ? or your ten euros!"
He explained, "I?m playing a man who?s told his life isn?t what he thought it was, the people in his life aren?t who he thought they were and he isn?t who he thought he was. The whole film then is a journey from this man awakening to the ideas of identity and past and being robbed of everything you were and everything you believed, without even knowing what these things are. So, there were plenty of existential questions for me to think about during the making of the film."
As for his physical preparations for the flick- "I?ve spent enough time in the last ten or twelve years messing around with diets for films, I know a little bit about nutrition. I watched what I ate and made sure I got 150 grams of protein every day, and worked out fairly hard. I couldn?t quite reach the Olympian levels of a certain predecessor of mine, but there was sufficient backstory for the character that he had some military training in his life so I knew I had to be bigger than I was when I agreed to do it.?

In other news, the British star recently teamed up with singer George Michael to appear in his newest music video for the song ?White Light.?
The 49-year-old performer teased fans with a series of Twitter posts that read, ?Oh and by the way, in the video, a certain supermodel (our Kate) saves my life. We shot two endings, one with the heimlich menouvre (sic)... and one where she gives me full on CPR. Mouth to mouth. Not really... But honestly, she is my saviour, on film at least!"
This isn?t the first music shoot for Miss Moss who?s appeared in videos for artist including Primal Scream, the White Stripes, Sir Elton John and Marianne Faithfull.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Freida Pinto attended a screening of her new film ?Trishna? in West Hollywood last night (July 8).
The ?Immortals? actress was all smiles as she posed in a sleeveless red dress at the Silverscreen Theater inside the Pacific Design Center.
During a recent interview, Freida explained the premise behind ?Trishna?- ?It?s based on Thomas Hardy?s Tess Of The D?Urbervilles and explores the relationship between two people separated by a cultural divide. It also explores modern India, which is similar to Hardy?s 19th-century England.?
She continued, ?There?s an economic boom in India, similar to what happened with the industrial revolution in England. In our film, the family?s livelihood depends on their truck and, when that?s not there, Trishna has to work even harder than she does already to make up for it. It?s about those who do well from change and those who fall through the cracks.?

I don’t know why I care so much, but I was just wondering in my last story on Susan Sarandon whether she was still with that 30-something ping pong entrepreneur, Jonathan Bricklin. Bricklin was all of 31 in December of ’09 when we first heard rumors that Sarandon was messing around with him. Of course we heard that Sarandon had split with her longterm partner, Tim Robbins, right before the news came out that she was seeing a guy who was 32 years younger than she was. So the timeline was suspect, or maybe Sarandon and Robbins waited months to announce their split.
Anyway fast forward two and a half years and Sarandon and Bricklin are still going seemingly strong. She took him with her to the Czech Republic, where she premiered her film Jeff Who Lives at Home at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival this weekend. She also received a lifetime achievement award. The Daily Mail has details of Susan’s acceptance speech, and dedicated the award to the late great Nora Ephron. Sarandon got choked up when she said “I dedicate this to Nora Ephron. My friend and a wonderful director and writer.” As The Mail points out, Sarandon never starred in Ephron’s films, but they were old “friends who travelled in the same circles in New York and Los Angeles.” It’s hard to believe Ephron has passed. It seemed like just yesterday that she was promoting her memoir.
To lighten the mood, let’s talk about Susan’s dress at the closing ceremony, above. I don’t have a designer ID on it, but this black number with the sheer side panels looks like Stella McCartney. From far away and when the light isn’t hitting it full on it looks potentially flattering on her, as compared to the other hideous sack dress she wore to premiere the film. In the photo above you can see nip, her boobs are hanging low and the dress looks way too revealing to me. In each of these appearances her shoes are really dragging her down. She obviously goes for comfort and it shows. Would it kill her to throw some cute heels in her bag to slip into for the red carpet?
Also, Bricklin’s mustache is ridiculous. Is that what they call an “ironic mustache?” I really hope so, but even so there’s no excuse for it. Maybe it looks better from another angle?

Here are some new photos of Katie and Suri during their Sunday morning outing to Whole Foods in their Chelsea neighborhood. As we’ve already seen, Katie reeeally likes her Whole Foods, and it makes a lot of sense (as Kaiser has already pointed out) for her to stay visible on daily outings so that we know she’s still okay and that we should be alarmed if we don’t regularly see her (i.e., if the CO$ tries to nab her). In yesterday’s update, Kaiser also expressed her hope that Katie doesn’t give up any ground to Tom during their supposed “calm” negotiations. Now here’s some good news from Us Weekly, who says that Katie is not giving up on anything when it comes to her demand for full legal custody of Suri. Once again — go Katie:
For the past few days, legal teams for Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have been working steadily in an attempt to reach a settlement for the divorcing stars, but make no mistake: Holmes, 33, is not about to cave when it comes to their little girl.
“She is dead set on keeping custody of Suri,” a Holmes source tells Us Weekly. The Romantics actress — whose future projects include the new film Molly (which she wrote) and a Holmes and Yang runway debut at New York Fashion Week this fall — filed for divorce from Cruise, 50, June 28, and asked for sole legal custody of daughter Suri, 6.
“Katie is not going to compromise on certain issues, all regarding Suri,” the source says. During their nearly six-year marriage, Holmes became increasingly uncomfortable with the bizarre rules and restrictions of Scientology — particularly with respect with how to raise and educate her only child with Cruise. “This is about protecting her daughter,” another source explained to Us.
While Holmes has been highly visible since the news broke, stepping out with Suri near their new NYC apartment nearly every day, Cruise has been M.I.A., reportedly holed up at his L.A.-area home.

Katie’s professional life also appears to be mirroring her personal one. She’s set to begin production next week on Molly, which Katie co-wrote and is co-producing and is about life as a single mother. Ahem.
Meanwhile and as Katie has enjoyed much of her first week of freedom in the public eye, Tom has stayed largely hidden. He has reportedly taken refuge in his Los Angeles home and is (allegedly) freaking out over not being in total command of the situation:

On Saturday, Katie Holmes spent her second consecutive marathon session at the midtown Manhattan offices of her attorney. And though estranged husband Tom Cruise has not been photographed in over a week, the superstar and his team “are in major crisis mode,” a source close to the Rock of Ages actor, 50, tells Us Weekly.
“Tom’s whole life . . . is being torn apart,” the source says of Cruise, who was blindsided when Holmes filed for divorce and full legal custody of six-year-old daughter Suri on June 28.
“He is on the phone with his lawyers 24/7,” the source explains, confirming that the Oscar nominee “is trying to hash this out” — custody, child support and property division — without going to court.
Cruise, whose loyalty to the Church of Scientology and its teachings became a sticking point in his nearly six year marriage to Holmes, “doesn’t want his entire life laid out for everyone to dissect anymore.”

Over the weekend, there was a story in the Mirror, which claimed that Katie and Tom briefly spoke on the phone (for the first time since the divorce filing) during one of the inevitable phone shufflings as Tom wished Suri a goodnight. A source insisted that the conversation was both “brief and civil.” This is certainly a better option for Katie than CO$ marriage counseling (as revealed in a recent recent account from the Running Scared blog) would have been, right?
Finally, here’s a nice gross-out sentiment with which to end this roundup — in a new article from the Mail, a former personal manager (and one time surrogate mother of sorts) of Tom’s, Eileen Berlin, says that she’s surprised that Tom’s marriage to Katie lasted five years because she knew from the very start that it was “doomed.” This conclusion was not based upon any up-close observations since she and Tom went their separate ways in 1983, but she recalls that Tom was very moody and that, at times, his anger would “boil up and explode … in a snap of your fingers.” She also describes how Tom, who lived with her for three months, would often parade around her apartment in a G-string, “flexing his biceps and admiring himself.” She also expresses no disbelief in Tom’s unwavering adherence to the CO$: “He didn’t believe in therapy but he obviously needed help. He just couldn?t have a relationship and I think that was because you have to open yourself up. The world sees this good-looking guy, worth millions. I still just see this little boy.” And now that little boy bides his time by (presumably) throwing his lifts at ceilings during epic temper tantrums.
