| Drew Barrymore to VP Kamala Harris: 'We need you to be Mamala of the country' | Added 200 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Y?all know I?m a big fan of Vice President Kamala Harris. VP Harris has gotten a raw deal from a lot of beltway pundits and the media. So much so, I think the Biden-Harris administration is really leaning into the ?get the hell out of Washington? route to speak directly to Americans. Why would President Biden give an interview to the New York Times when he can chat with Howard Stern (as he did last week). Why would VP Harris sit down with The Atlantic when she could appear on Drew Barrymore?s talk show? Here?s why this was such a good choice for Kamala Harris: Drew is sort of crazy, cringe and extra and she doesn?t have personal space so she makes VP Harris look good in comparison. The number of people expressing sympathy for VP Harris for getting through Drew?s interview is amazing. For what it?s worth, I don?t think VP Harris actually minded any of it. This is part of a strategy to humanize Kamala and show people what she?s like as a woman, stepmother, wife, etc.
?We need you to be Mamala of the country? lmao. As I said, I adore VP Harris but y?all know even she was stifling a laugh. Speaking of, Drew asked VP Harris about her widely-mocked laugh. Kamala has a great laugh, she laughs with her whole body when she gets really tickled by something. Kamala told Drew that she has her mother?s laugh and people need to get a grip, basically.
?Don?t be confined to other people?s perception.? Vice President Kamala Harris hits back at the MAGA trolls who criticize ?the way I laugh?. (

Remember when Drew Barrymore shot herself in the foot (and mouth) by announcing she was bringing back her show amid the writers strike, then during a taping her crew kicked out two people wearing WGA pins, then she posted a word-salad video on a Friday doubling down on her decision to return, only to give in (to common sense and decency) by Sunday and put her show on pause? Good times. All that happened in the span of one week. If I have whiplash from it, surely she does as well. Now that the WGA has reached a tentative agreement with AMPTP, Drew might have nausea as well ? she was only two weeks away from completely avoiding this epic PR disaster! Like other daytime talk shows, The Drew Barrymore Show could come back in mid to late October, pending finalization of the new deal. But Drew will forever have the stink of her (self-inflicted) saga attached to her reporting, as exemplified here by ET Online:
With the Writers Guild of America (WGA) having struck a tentative agreement to end its ongoing strike, The Drew Barrymore Show is eyeing a return to the airwaves.
ET has learned that The Drew Barrymore Show is looking to return in October.
Host Drew Barrymore faced intense backlash earlier this month after her announcement that her daytime talk show would return for season four amid the WGA strikes, but without WGA writers.
A week after that controversial announcement, Barrymore apologized publicly and announced that she was going to pause the return of the show amid the outcry.
?I have listened to everyone, and I am making the decision to pause the show?s premiere until the strike is over,? the host wrote as a caption next to a picture of the same message, which she shared on Sept. 17.
?I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today,? she continued. ?We really tried to find our way forward. And I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon.?
In a statement to ET, a spokesperson from CBS Media Ventures, which produces The Drew Barrymore Show, read: ?We support Drew?s decision to pause the show?s return and understand how complex and difficult this process has been for her.?
However, on Sunday, the WGA struck a tentative deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers to end the strike.
While the deal still has to be drafted and faces several votes by WGA officials and members, it?s expected by many that the deal will be ratified and finalized in the next few weeks. Until then, the strike is not officially over, but the WGA has suspended picketing efforts and protests.
[From ET Online]
So Celebitchy and Kaiser got into Drew on Monday?s podcast #159, and now I?m gonna wade in. (Also, please consider that your *spoiler alert* in case you?ve been waiting to listen.) On the Drew Barrymore spectrum, I probably self-identify as not a full-on hater, but I definitely find her relentlessly twee, loosey-goosey persona grating. Maybe I?m not giving her enough credit, maybe I?m taking her at her flower-child-like image too much. But to me the real people to be angry with now are her PR team and managers. Where were they?!! I hold them responsible for letting those Instagram videos see the light of day. For every one celebrity there should be ten wranglers to intervene and save the star from themselves. That?s basic celebrity math.
There is still a way for Drew to come back with the show and address everything that?s gone down. But it would have to be done in exactly the right way, like having the two audience members that were kicked out come on as guests, and having her union writers speak as well. And judging by what we?ve seen coming out of her camp on this issue? let?s just say they have not been nailing the tone. But maybe someday in the future we will forget this dark era for Drew.

On Friday Drew Barrymore posted a teary video to Instagram (below) where she continued to defend her decision to bring back her talk show amid the ongoing writer and actor strikes. She tread a lot of familiar ground, including that it was bigger than her, if she could make a show work during the pandemic then why not now, and that she owned her decision. The video was taken down not long after posting, but was saved for posterity?s sake by others on the interwebs. Well, by the time I was finishing jotting down my notes to cover her video, Drew had capitulated and announced that her show would not return until the strikes were over. Maybe it was being put in the same conversation as Bill Maher, maybe fellow Charlie?s Angels gave her an ass whooping, maybe ET phoned Earth to scold her. Whatever the final straw was for Drew, it?s having a ripple effect across daytime talk shows:
?I have listened to everyone, and I am making the decision to pause the show?s premiere until the strike is over,? she wrote on Instagram. ?I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today. We really tried to find our way forward. And I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon.?
?We support Drew?s decision to pause the show?s return and understand how complex and difficult this process has been for her,? a spokesperson for CBS Media Ventures told Variety in a statement.
?The Drew Barrymore Show? will air repeats for the foreseeable future, a knowledgeable individual told Variety. Episodes that were taped last week when the show went back into production will not air.
The WGA has canceled planned pickets of ?The Drew Barrymore Show.? Striking guild members will be picketing ?The View,? which is a WGA-covered struck show, on Monday.
Barrymore faced swift blowback for her decision to resume taping her talk show despite Hollywood?s ongoing labor strikes. Variety reported on Saturday that part of Barrymore?s choice to bring back the show stemmed from contractual obligations with station partners across the daytime TV business. As part of the fallout, National Book awards rescinded Barrymore?s invitation to host its upcoming annual award ceremony.
As long as hosts or guests don?t discuss or promote struck work, Barrymore wouldn?t have been violating SAG-AFTRA rules. (The Network Code agreement allows daytime hosts to perform hosting duties.) But Barrymore?s show operates with union writers, so new episodes would have required moving forward without their writers on staff.
At the time, the WGA condemned Barrymore?s decision in a statement, saying, ?Drew Barrymore should not be on the air while her writers are on strike fighting for a fair deal. In reality, shows like this cannot operate without writing, and that is struck work.? The Guild has not responded to request for comment about Barrymore?s reversal in programming.
Following Barrymore?s pause, CBS? ?The Talk? and ?The Jennifer Hudson Show? also announced they would no longer return on Monday as planned. Other daytime talk shows that have returned this season include ?The View,? which has been airing without its writers, as well as ?Live With Kelly and Mark? and ?Tamron Hall Show,? neither of which have writers and are not covered by the WGA.
Barrymore apologized in a now-deleted video, in which she says she owned the choice to bring back her show. ?I certainly couldn?t have expected this kind of attention,? she said. ?I wanted to do this because as I said, this is bigger than me, and there are other people?s jobs on the line.?
[From Variety]
?I certainly couldn?t have expected this kind of attention.? Really?!? Shouldn?t there be at least three people on her payroll whose job it is to expect something like this? In the four-minute video where Drew said this, she also claimed that she does not have a PR machine behind her. I find that very hard to swallow, but whoever is on PR for Drew and the show has really messed up. Like Ive said before, it?s incredible to see how Drew and her people have, in the span of a week, squandered all the positive public image she had earned with her show.
On the plus side, at least now we have a trifecta of CBS talk shows on hiatus. Why is that a boon? Because CBS is part of Paramount. In addition to CBS, Paramount is also parent to BET, Comedy Central, CW, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime, and VH1. That?s nine studios right there that are in bed together, and one of them has an increased incentive for their AMPTP representation to find a resolution with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. And that is how striking works.
Sitting here lying like this with that ugly ass wallpaper, Drew Barrymore have you no shame???? pic.twitter.com/7SXrG3XSyU

Drew Barrymore has always been into renovating and interior design, but in recent years, her interest/hobby has become a bigger deal. She renovated a New York apartment on the Upper East Side and she showed a lot of the process on her social media and (I think?) on her talk show as well. Her apartment is finally done a three-bedroom, three-bath home which she shares with her two daughters, two cats, two dogs and a bearded dragon. Drew showed off some of her apartment in Better Homes & Gardens, and she?s also shilling for her Walmart home line, Beautiful by Drew Barrymore go here to see the full piece. Her interview with the magazine is pretty great too. Some highlights:
She hates recessed lights: ?Recessed overhead lighting is not warm and it doesn?t make anyone look pretty. I feel like it gives me dark circles under my eyes and makes me feel like someone is tapping on my head.? Instead, she embraces sconces, hanging pendant lights, and flush mount fixtures that give off a diffused glow rather than a harsh, downward beam. ?Lighting to me is a beautiful decorative art and you can find tons of cool stuff on salvage sites and in salvage stores. And if you go thrifting and flea marketing, which I love to do, you?ll almost always find amazing deals on lighting that will add personality to your space.?
No sharp edges: ?Ever since I had children, I can?t bear to see a sharp edge in my space. I look at it and think, that corner could take out somebody?s eyeball!. Even my kitchen island has a soft edge. The minute I walked into that room for the first time I said, we need to sand that right down!?
No blackout curtains: ?I hate blackout curtains. They make me feel claustrophobic and scared. I get really freaked out if I wake up in a hotel room in the morning and it is pitch black. If curtains are blackout, I always open them before I go to sleep?I?m up with the sun anyway?and at home I love nothing more than a sheer curtain in a pretty Indian blockprint.?
Stop doing everything open-concept: ?I like the idea of what I call ?closed-concept? living. I want to start a movement. I don?t want anything to do with an open kitchen where everyone can see my dirty dishes during a dinner party! And I like the idea that you can have different design stories for different rooms. The pandemic really taught us that everyone in a house needs their own space?preferably with a door. And I?d rather have a bunch of tiny rooms than one big one.?
Screen time: ?We watch a ton of movies and shows so I?m not judging anyone about screens. But when it comes to my kids, I?m not a huge fan of personal electronics, like iPads. During the pandemic when schools were virtual we were forced into all being on our separate devices and I didn?t like it. Now, I keep the iPads in a locked safe and they only come out for special occasions. I?d rather that the three of us all pile into my bed and watch together.?
[From Better Homes & Gardens]
I disagree with her about blackout curtains, but I?m also up with the sun (or earlier). Still, I love making my bedroom into a dark cave. Not every room needs to be sunny and bright. I?m with her on closed-concept though some of those open-concept designs are lovely, but I would love for more people to understand that doors are not the enemy and it?s healthy to have dedicated spaces that are not for guests to see.

Drew Barrymore has well and truly stepped in it, hasn?t she? To recap: on Sunday she announced via Instagram that she was owning her choice to bring back her talk show mid-strikes because it?s bigger than just her but don?t worry they won?t discuss or promote other struck work. The post was also laced with words about how the show launched during the pandemic, she wants to make sense of the human experience, and she will bring us together with astute humility. By Monday the WGA clapped back saying the show returning now was a violation of strike rules, and they dispatched members to picket outside CBS in New York where the show was taping. Also amid this Monday maelstrom, two people who won tickets to the show?s taping were kicked out for wearing WGA pins (that are only 1-2 inches long). Now in another hit, on Tuesday night the National Book Foundation disinvited Drew from serving as host at their awards ceremony in November. The National Book Foundation is not on strike now. This is what?s called solidarity, Drew.
The National Book awards has rescinded Drew Barrymore?s invitation to host its upcoming annual award ceremony in the wake of the return of her talk show ?The Drew Barrymore Show? this fall amid Hollywood strikes.
In a statement to social media, the National Book Foundation wrote ?The National Book Awards is an evening dedicated to celebrating the power of literature, and the incomparable contributions of writers to our culture. In light of the announcement that ?The Drew Barrymore Show? will resume production, the National Book Foundation has rescinded Ms. Barrymore?s invitation to host the 74th National Book Awards Ceremony.?
The foundation added, ?Our commitment is to ensure that the focus of the Awards remains on celebrating writers and books, and we are grateful to Ms. Barrymore and her team for their understanding in this situation.?
Barrymore was initially announced as host of the Nov. 15 event in late July. Now, just days after some protested her decision to bring back her talk show on Sept. 18, the foundation has revoked its decision, with no replacement host announced.
While picketers expressed anger toward Barrymore, SAG-AFTRA issued a statement ensuring that the talk show?s return did not constitute scabbing: ??The Drew Barrymore Show? is produced under the Network Television Code which is a separate contract and is not struck. It is permissible work and Drew?s role as host does not violate the current strike rules.?
[From Yahoo! Entertainment]
It kills me every time someone from the show?s camp trots out those talking points about how they?re not violating strike rules? for SAG-AFTRA. Do they really think that ploy is working? (It?s not.) It?s like a parent asking to see your report card and responding with ?but I didn?t cut gym today!? They?re totally separate issues! Gold star for not scabbing the actors (technically speaking, symbolically is another question). The rest of us are talking about the writers.
It?s hard to believe it was only three months ago that Drew was riding the high of that great New York Mag profile. I just re-read the article and cringed when she comments on the network having just renewed her show for its fourth season, yet it was the first time they did so enthusiastically instead of begrudgingly. I wonder if subconsciously she freaked out over things going too well and threw in some self-destruction to counter balance. Like they say, when life gives you lemonade, make lemons!

Drew Barrymore took to her Instagram on Sunday to announce her decision to bring back her talk show, despite the ongoing Hollywood strikes. Although Drew is a SAG-AFTRA member, her hosting duties fall under a separate contract, and thus she is not breaking any SAG-AFTRA strike rules. As for whether the move is breaking WGA strike rules, at first glance it seems complicated. Late night talk shows stopped production as soon as the writers strike began in early May ? part of why hosts started the Strike Force Five podcast to raise money for their writers ? while daytime talk shows like The View have carried on, claiming they?re simply not using their union writers. So perhaps the opinion that matters most right now is that of the WGA itself, and they say that The Drew Barrymore Show returning now is unequivocally a violation of strike rules:
The Writers Guild of America, East announced it would be picketing Barrymore?s New York based daytime talk show.
?The @DrewBarrymoreTV Show is a WGA covered, struck show that is planning to return without its writers,? a tweet from their Twitter account reads. ?The Guild has, and will continue to, picket struck shows that are in production during the strike. Any writing on ?The Drew Barrymore Show? is in violation of the WGA strike rules.?
In her statement Barrymore, who is one of the show?s executive producers, wrote that she owns the choice to return to production at a time when many talk shows have gone dark in solidarity with the strikes.
?We are in compliance with not discussing or promoting film and television that is struck of any kind. We launched live in a global pandemic,? she wrote. ?Our show was built for sensitive times and has only functioned through what the real world is going through in real time. I want to be there to provide what writers do so well, which is a way to bring us together or help us make sense of the human experience.?
A spokesperson for CBS Media Ventures, which produces the talk show, told CNN in a statement that ?The Drew Barrymore Show will not be performing any writing work covered by the WGA strike.?
[From CNN]
So basically the producers (who the unions are striking against) are using the same line as The View. It?s a very technical, lawyer-approved way of saying the shows are not using work by union members. Which means they?re saying ? by omission ? that non-union writers or producers are generating material. Honestly my takeaway is that we?re late in asking why The View, Live with Kelly and Mark, et al are still in production.
But wait, there?s more! As if Drew hadn?t landed herself in enough of a quagmire, on Monday her crew kicked out (and allegedly ?verbally assaulted?) two audiences members who showed up to a taping wearing WGA pins:
Meanwhile, X/Twitter user Dominic Turiczek took to social media to document being ?kicked out? of today?s ?Drew Barrymore Show? taping.
?Went to @DrewBarrymoreTV after winning tickets, unaware of the #WGA strike. We took pins & went in, got kicked out, & verbally assaulted by @DrewBarrymore ?s crew. It?s clear they don?t support #WGAStrong, writers or fans! #DrewTheRightThing So we took shirts and joined. F? that,? Turiczek wrote.
?We knew about the #WGA strike, just not that they were picketing at Drew?s show. We were unaware until inside, that her show had WGA writers, thus crossing picket lines by starting again. We won the tickets last minute and didn?t do enough research, clearly,? the message continued.
In a statement to Variety, a ?Drew Barrymore Show? spokesperson addressed the booted audience members.
?It is our policy to welcome everyone to our show tapings,? the spokesperson said. ?Due to heightened security concerns today, we regret that two audience members were not permitted to attend or were not allowed access. Drew was completely unaware of the incident and we are in the process of reaching out to the affected audience members to offer them new tickets.?
[From Variety]
What a mess! I?m dying to know if the show does reach out and make the situation right, like really make a teachable moment out of it and invite them back to speak for a minute, wearing the damn pins. Or will the show do it Buckingham Palace style, wait a few weeks and invite them to sit with the crew members who attacked them? Do let us know, Dominic!
The last point I want to make is that if Drew really isn?t breaking strike rules, and by that I mean not employing writers or any written material. If that is the case, then the show will be? Drew speaking extemporaneously? Unless your name is Stephen Fry, any actor-turned-host who thinks they can deliver quality material off the cuff for 30-60 minutes 5 days a week, well they might actually end up convincing the studios to give the writers everything they want.
Went to @DrewBarrymoreTV after winning tickets, unaware of the #WGA strike. We took pins & went in, got kicked out, & verbally assaulted by @DrewBarrymore?s crew. It?s clear they don?t support #WGAStrong, writers or fans! #DrewTheRightThing So we took shirts and joined. Fuck that pic.twitter.com/UuyCxAS491

| Drew Barrymore: I started having my period every two weeks | Added 603 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Drew Barrymore is going through perimenopause. For anyone that grew up watching ET, that?s a weird concept to grasp. However, age catches up with all of us and I?m glad Drew is putting it out there that the changes during that time are wild. It?s like if you look up ?what should I expect during perimenopause? and a big shrug emoji comes back as your results. The answer is everything, expect everything. Slightly more medical symptoms include: changes in menstrual cycle, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood swings, weight gain, disrupted sleep, foggy brain and changes in libido. It is the changes in the menstrual cycle that clued Drew in to this new phase of life. She said she?s starting to get her period every two weeks.
In an interview on CBS Mornings, Drew Barrymore and Gayle King sat down with CBS News correspondent Nikki Battiste in which they detailed their own experiences with this phase of life.
?I realized that I was in perimenopause when I started having my period every two weeks,? Barrymore explained, saying that her heavy flow was like that of ?a teenager.?
Her doctor told her that having a heavy period could last 10 years.
King echoed that experience, explaining, Id never even heard the phrase perimenopause until I went to the doctor because you know, not to get too graphic, but when it first happens for a lot of people it looked like a crime scene.?
She acknowledged that not everyone had her symptoms, which included hot flashes. ?I know some women who have been through it and theyve just sort of sailed through to have had very minimal things,? King said. ?It wasnt disruptive to their life. That was not my experience.?
Both Barrymore and King chose not to have hormonal treatments during perimenopause. For Barrymore, she felt she was not far along enough in perimenopause to require treatment. While hormones are still prescribed by health care providers to help with symptoms, Wider says that these treatments are not quite as common as they once were.
?The treatment was typically systemic hormones to counteract the fluctuating hormones causing the symptoms,? Wider explains. ?Doctors dont prescribe this as readily anymore because there is some risk involved, depending on a womans personal and family history of disease. Other treatments include topical estrogen cream, antidepressants and gabapentin, specifically for hot flashes and/or headaches.?
One thing that Barrymore also wanted to share about her perimenopause journey? It?s not the end of the road.
?Women in their 40s, 50s and 60s are looking so attractive and feeling so vibrant, living their best lives,? she said. ?The way menopause has been branded is, ?You?re old, youre done.? Thats not it.?
[From Yahoo!]
I can?t remember if I had the bi-monthly period thing or not. So clearly I did experience the foggy brain. Peri lasts about four years on average, although it can go up to 10. I think I am post-menopausal now. I went a full year without a period, which is supposed to mean menopause, but at the 13-month mark, I got a period. I have no idea if I was supposed to reset the clock or what. I?ve given up trying to understand any of this. My hot flashes may be back too, but they?re not as bad. While a few of the symptoms seem to happen to everyone, I don?t know two women who have had the same experience. It?s just a big hormonal grab bag. The good thing is that people like Drew and Naomi Watts are talking about it now. It made it a lot less scary to hear people bringing the subject up as I was going through it. It wasn?t any more fun, but less frightening.
The article talked about systemic hormones treatment and how doctors don?t prescribe this as readily anymore. I know you all have had some good discussions in our comments about hormones as well. For me, hormones were never never suggested. What I can speak to is Drew?s last point, about how menopause messaging is changing. To that I say ? hell yes! Look, I won?t sugar coat it, perimenopause sucked. But so far, menopause is looking up. There?s a few more roads to till, but there are also quite a few moments where the fabulous has been breaking through again. I never heard about that when I was looking at this from the other side. Drew?s right, it definitely isn?t over.

Drew Barrymore is letting us in on the holiday traditions she?s building with daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, eight. One of which is that Drew does not buy her daughters Christmas presents. Instead, she takes the girls on trips for the holiday. While she admits she doesn?t think her daughters, ?love it,? at their current ages, she does think they will hold the memories of their experiences on those adventures more than any toy or trinket they unwrap under the tree.
Drew Barrymores daughters wont be unwrapping presents under the tree come Christmas morning. ETs Nischelle Turner spoke with the 47-year-old host of The Drew Barrymore Show, and she revealed why she doesnt buy Christmas gifts for Frankie, 8, and Olive, 10, the girls she shares with her ex, Will Kopelman.
I always take them on a trip every Christmas. I dont get them presents, which I think at their ages they dont love, but I say, I think well remember the place and the photos and the experience and thats what I want to give you,' she explained. They get plenty of things throughout the year, so Im not like some weird, strict, cold mom whos like, You don?t get any gifts! I just feel like a better gift would be a life memory. Id rather invest [in that than in] a doll house or something. It all evens out and its fine.
[I try] to remember that one holiday wont be probably the same as one 10 years from now, that your life can dramatically change, and new people and new traditions can come into it, she said. I like looking at the holidays through a comedic, realistic lens of, were gonna have a lot of different holiday stories. What one do you want to keep going and build as a tradition? Rather than, This is my tradition and Im stuck in it.'
[From ET via DListed]
The quotes above are from Entertainment Tonight, but Drew also discussed this a little more on her show. Drew?s childhood Christmases were, as she said, confusing, because she was often alone. Her own mother didn?t buy her presents, if she wanted Christmas gifts, she had to use her own money to buy them. I also want to call attention to Drew?s comment, ?they get plenty of things throughout the year.? Drew isn?t trying to make some consumerism is evil point here, she?s just trying to create something for her and the girls. They have a whole other family with their dad and his wife, I?m sure they get presents under that tree. For two divorced parents of means, this a nice way to make two unique celebrations. On that note, Drew said on her show that she realized after she mentioned the trip thing that not everyone can afford to take their kids on trips every year and felt bad bringing it up. She also mentioned that sometimes they just ?get in the car and drive,? for their Christmas trips. But the part I agree with is everyone is coming at the holidays differently and that?s how it should be. Whatever you celebrate or don?t, it should be completely catered to your family or the people you spend them with.
Also, Drew said she did get Olive and Frankie gifts during lockdown when they couldnt travel. But Drew has a point about what we remember. I vaguely remember gifts I got as a kid, but what I really remember is that one I kept asking for and never got. For me it was an Easy Bake Oven. My mom said if I wanted to bake, I could use the big oven. That?s not the point, Mom! And this year we are traveling right before Christmas, which is our Big Gift for everyone this year and it better suffice come Christmas Day. I think it will be fine, my kids are teenagers and getting ready to move out, so we really are in the memory making stage.

| Drew Barrymore loves walking around naked, 'the most liberating act' | Added 754 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Drew Barrymores talk show is three seasons and hundreds of episodes in at this point. After some growing pains in the beginning, she seems to have settled into a nice groove with her co-hosts and guests. I think in general, as a celebrity and a person, shes a good fit for the talk show format. Shes bubbly and charming and has been around forever, so she knows everyone. And shes always been known as a free spirit and so we get tidbits like this in a recent episode they were talking about Christopher Melonis nudity comments and turns out Drew loves it too.
Drew Barrymore doesnt mind shedding her clothes when home alone.
The topic came up during the Drews News segment on Thursdays episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, during which Barrymore, 47, cohost Ross Mathews and former NBA player Dennis Rodman discussed actor Christopher Meloni recently telling PEOPLE he is a big fan of nudity.
Rodman expressed that he also finds nudity freeing, saying he likes being an individual thats very open, which led cohost Mathews to make a joke in reference to the 61-year-old Melonis admission that he enjoys exercising in the nude at his home gym.
Imagine a jumping jack, if you will, Mathews joked while gesturing with his arms. Whoever you are, things are, you know.
Barrymore then said, I have to say, too, if I get a moment alone in my apartment and my kids have gone to their dads or theres no one around, Ill lock all the doors and Ill walk around naked. It just feels like the most liberating act I can do.
Thats cool. I do it all the time, Rodman said in response. All the time.
All right, well guess what everyone: tune in tomorrow ? Ill be nude, right here at this desk! Mathews joked. Youve convinced me, Rodman.
[From People]
I see the pros and cons of nude exercising. Pros: you dont get as hot and theres less sweaty workout gear to launder. Cons: equipment gets sweaty and body parts bounce around uncomfortably. I think those cons outweigh the pros, but when exercising at home I try to wear as little as possible so I dont have to do laundry as often. But I completely get what Dennis Rodman and Drew are saying about nudity at home being freeing and liberating. I mean, I dont feel particularly liberated, I just feel comfortable, provided the temperature is right. After all, its our natural state. Its also convenient to do a lot of chores and projects in the nude, if possible. Less opportunity to get paint and dust on clothes. Hm, maybe Im really just advocating nudity because it means doing less laundry. In any case, Stabler, Dennis, and Drew are all right. Exercise naked, do everything naked at home!

I only got two books for Christmas. I?m happy to have them, I just expected more. I bought other people books that I intend to steal, however, so it?ll all work out. And the truth is, I don?t have any space for any more because the ones I bought right before Christmas keep falling off my nightstand. As much as I love to read, I have shockingly few bookshelves in my home. In other words, I am no Drew Barrymore. Drew, who is an author and an avid reader, posted a cute series of clips to her Instagram on New Year?s Eve of herself watching When Harry Met Sally. However, what most people took away from these vids is the fact that Drew has an entire room lined with custom bookshelves filled with hundreds of books:
