Taylor Swift?s new album, Lover, comes out in a few weeks. I imagine we?ll have even more Tay-Tay coverage on a daily basis as of now. I thought her September Vogue interview was good in that A) we hadn?t gotten an in-depth interview from Taylor in years and it was great to see her so prepared & ready to talk and B) Taylor is always fun to talk about and dissect. Now that we?re days past the Vogue drop, it?s fascinating to me how Taylor controlled every single part of her narrative in the piece, and she didn?t have to answer any questions about Tom Hiddleston or Karlie Kloss, and she merely skated past this year?s Summer Beef (the Scooter Braun thing) with a one-sentence quote. So, obviously, the gossip press is going to fill the vacuum of what was left unsaid. Page Six had a long, juicy, dishy read about Taylor and how she overplayed her hand by cancelling her friendship with Karlie Kloss, and then it just goes from there. You can read the full piece here. Why did Taylor & Karlie fall out? Swift has previously said that Kloss had her very own room, complete with her favorite snack foods at the ready, at the singer?s $47.7 million Tribeca compound. But an insider told The Post that Swift was ?furious? when Kloss invited friends over to the home without first getting approval.
A Kloss source says that a simple fight turned into something else: Although both camps deny this [apartment thing] was the exact reason for their split, a person close to Kloss admits that the two had a tiff that turned into ?something crazy.? ?Taylor got upset over something crazy and then she just alienated Karlie,? she told The Post.
Taylor overreacts: Sources say this is just another example of Swift, whose new album, ?Lover,? is out Aug. 23, overreacting to a situation. In fact, Swift turned down invites to both of Kloss? wedding ceremonies when she married her long-term boyfriend last year, according to a source close to both camps. ?She always does the same thing: She trips up when she goes further than she needed to,? said a source close to music manager Scooter Braun.
A source close to Scooter Braun says Taylor misrepresents constantly: ?She didn?t need to say that she didn?t get told about the deal, when there is clear proof and text messages sent to her. She did the same thing about the Kim K-and-Kanye row [and then] Kim just published the conversation online.?
Taylor is immature? ?She became famous very young,? said a music executive in the know. ?And the behavior that we might accept from a young girl ? stamping your feet, acting petulant ? no longer stands when you?re a grown woman.?
Her latest reinvention: Her latest reinvention, for ?Lover,? finds the singer ? who has been dating British actor Joe Alwyn for three years ? seemingly in love with love, amid a wash of rainbows. ?It?s difficult to tell who she really is ? does she even know who she is?? asked one top music insider. ?She can act like poor little rich girl, when she has no need to,? said one source of the singer who owns $84 million in real estate and three planes.
Who is she, a diva or a dream? One person who has worked closely with Swift described her to The Post as ?a pill,? while another who was part of the recent Vogue cover shoot called her ?heavenly to work with.? One thing insiders seem to agree on is that, with Swift, everything is personal ? and, in her anger, she sometimes has tunnel vision. A source who has worked extensively with Braun said of the Big Machine deal, ?This is business, what doesn?t Taylor get about this? He was not doing this just to spite her ? and she?s acting like it was a personal vendetta.? The music executive gets the last word: ?Taylor is calculating and shrewd. Not that that?s a bad thing, but anyone who doesn?t think she feels like she has something to prove with ?Lover? is totally wrong. She wants to win.?

When Taylor talks about how the criticism of her music/life/persona is often gendered and sexist, I often see her point. ?Taylor is calculating and shrewd.? She is, I agree. But we would use different descriptors if she was a man. We would say ?brilliant, aware, a true professional, next-level corporate thinker, PR expert.? Taylor IS brilliant? about some things. And she?s a messy, emotionally immature idiot about other things. That?s the duality of the Snake Lyfe. And I still have no idea what happened with Karlie Kloss. But I think that whatever happened, Taylor probably did ?overreact? and what could have been a simple fight ended up calcifying into a massive Cold War/Beef.

Chris Hemsworth has a contract with Hugo Boss he?s the face of BOSS Bottled Infinite, their latest cologne. And much like Jennifer Aniston, Irina Shayk and assorted model-actress ladies, Chris Hemsworth will totally give interviews solely to rep his beauty/fragrance contracts. Chris sat down with GQ to chat about living in Australia, his favorite scents, sunburns and a lot more you can read the full piece here. The best part is where he talks about using his wife?s La Mer as a full-body moisturizer. Some highlights:
What he packs when he?s traveling: ?A toothbrush, toothpaste, beard trimmer, a bit of coconut oil, and a moisturizer. I steal various moisturizers from my wifes section of the bathroom. A little cologne, and some deodorant. Some sunscreen, if Im in some hotter climates, an outdoor place where Im gonna surf. I usually have a whole bunch of surfboard wax if Im going on a surf trip. That usually takes up most of the room in my vanity kit.
The products he borrows from his wife: ?She uses a lot of La Mer products, which, you know, cost a small fortune, so shes less than happy when I use that face moisturizer over my whole body. I found out the hard way when I used her $400 cream for a sunburn one time. That wasnt the best option? My shoulders were sunburnt one time and I lathered up my shoulders with some La Mer products not realizing how expensive they were. She wasnt really that impressed. It smells so delicious, I wanted to eat it.
How he uses coconut oil: ?Usually just on my face. Especially when its really dry and Im surfing a lot, spending a lot of time in the sun. Its better for sunburn or dehydrated skin?and much cheaper?than La Mer.
His favorite cologne: ?Nothing too overpowering, nothing too sweet. Thats why I like the Hugo Boss stuff. Theres a versatility to it that Ive always appreciated, and its not just for one occasion. But I like to wear it sparingly. Not a whole lot. You want it to be subtle. I dont like walking into a room and having everybody be aware of what cologne youre wearing. So the earthier, more relaxed tones.

I bet Chris smells good, no joke. He looks like the kind of guy who would smell like the ocean and something earthy-yet-pleasant. Maybe that?s the next battle for ?who is the Best Chris?? That?s one area where I think Hemsworth might win out of all the Chrises, I bet Hemsworth smells the best. Then Chris Pine, and then a steep drop-off and then Chris Pratt. As for using La Mer as a whole body moisturizer? gotta spend that Marvel money somehow! Seriously, this was a better ad for La Mer than it was for Hugo Boss.

Here are some photos of Priyanka Chopra at this weekend?s BeautyCon in Los Angeles. Her suit was not great. Neither was her makeup, which bizarrely included hot Pink eyeliner. But Priyanka?s cheesy suit and bad makeup is not the point of this post. Nope. First, some backstory: Priyanka Chopra is an Indian citizen. It wouldn?t surprise me if she has applied for American citizenship (now that she?s married to an American), nor would it surprise me if she was currently seeking dual citizenship. But she?s an Indian citizen and she?s a supporter of the current Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi. Modi even attended one of Priyanka and Nick?s eleventy billion weddings last year. Modi is a controversial figure at home and abroad, but I won?t get into that. This is just the backstory. Also part of the backstory: for decades, India and Pakistan have been in a near-constant state of conflict, war and geopolitical beefs.
So, at BeautyCon, a woman confronted Priyanka over a tweet from February:

Here are some photos from last night?s Teen Choice Awards. You can see the list of winners here there was lots of love for Avengers: Endgame, obviously. And lots of love for Aladdin, which seems odd, but sure. That movie was surprisingly popular. Anyway, no one was as big a winner as Taylor Swift, who received the first-ever Teen Choice Icon Award. Taylor didn?t do any costume changes, she just wore this same Versace ensemble for everything. I? don?t hate this? I mean, it?s basically a very short onesie, but it IS cute and it suits Taylor. I like the jacket with the playsuit too. As for her hair? this is maybe the best bangs-styling I?ve seen for Taylor?s hair, quite honestly. She?s leaning into volume and a Brigitte Bardot look.
US Soccer star Alex Morgan presented Taylor with the award and here?s part of what Taylor had to say:
?We have a lot to talk about. Wow. First I want to talk about Alex Morgan. The fact that she?s here presenting this to me is such an honor. While they were winning the World Cup they were also taking a historic stand in terms of gender equality, gender pay gap. Please, please, please support her and her teammates because this isn?t over yet. It?s not resolved? What happened to them is unfair, it?s happening everywhere and they are heroes and icons for standing up.?
?I think one thing I wish I would have known when I was a teen are mistakes are inevitable. Sometimes you think if you try hard enough to make every decision perfectly, you think you can possibly ace life and never make mistakes. But it?s normal to make mistakes. If you?re out there and you?re being really hard on yourself right now for something that?s happened, or messing up or feeling embarrassed, it?s normal. That?s what going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We?re all going to have a few scratches on us? Please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please.?

Before I get into it about Kim Kardashian?s Nu Face, can I just ask y?all something? What?s up with Kim Kardashian?s makeup line, KKW Beauty? We?re always hearing about Kylie Cosmetics and how Kylie has a billion-dollar empire. We?re always hearing about how Rihanna has made Fenty Beauty into a company which has scared the bejesus out of major makeup companies. But KKW Beauty is never discussed in those terms, right? I feel like? Kim?s beauty line is lacking some hype, maybe because people aren?t super-interested in it?
Which brings me to this Kim has been blatantly copying Kylie?s whole promotional deal for Kylie Cosmetics. Instead of traditional ad buys (commercials and print ads), Kim uses herself for the KKW Beauty promo, and then she just posts those photos on her social media. Her latest line is the ?Matte Smoke and Matte Cocoa Collection is inspired by iconic 90?s supermodel glam.? The photos are pretty. Pretty because Kim has updated her face the Late Summer/Fall Model and because she?s wearing so much makeup.
I?ve mentioned this on the Gossip with Celebitchy podcast before, but I?m kind of terrible at figuring out exactly what people DID to their faces which makes them look so different. So I?m not even going to try with Kim to me, it looks like her nose has been updated and maybe she got some eye work, or is that just makeup and Botox and Facetune and filters? I don?t know. But this shocked me:

As we discussed yesterday, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are over. Considering their breakup and makeup history, many of you think that they could possibly get back together at some point. I agree they seem to go in cycles depending on what persona Miley is trying on in any given month. She did the country-girl/hippie-wife thing for a couple of years but as we?ve seen from her interviews this year, she seemed to be feeling confined by that persona. All of which means that no one was really ?surprised? by Miley and Liam?s split.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?s decision to split after less than a year of marriage may have caught fans off guard, but those close to the couple weren?t taken aback.
?This split isn?t shocking to people who are actually with them every day,? a source tells PEOPLE. ?After they reunited, everyone thought they were this ?perfect? couple, but they still had a lot of issues. They?re not on the same page when it comes to a lot of fundamental things that make a relationship work,? the source adds. ?It?s not surprising at all.?
Hours before Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 29, confirmed their split, the singer was photographed kissing Brody Jenner?s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter in Italy, where the pair are vacationing together alongside the singer?s older sister Brandi. Cyrus cuddles and kisses 30-year-old Carter ? who recently announced her split from Jenner ? while the pair lounge poolside in photos obtained by Entertainment Tonight. A source told PEOPLE exclusively that Cyrus and Carter have mutual friends in common and are ?just having fun? together.

I suggested yesterday that it sort of feels like Miley dumped Liam and ran off with Kaitlynn, and that maybe Miley and Kaitlynn are together now. I don?t know if that?s true, but it certainly seems like that?s what they want us to think. As for the split not being a surprise for people who know them? yeah. I wonder if Liam was getting tired of all of Miley?s bold pronouncements in interviews, some of which might have taken him by surprise.
