I had an instinctive dislike towards Olivia Wilde when I first learned about her ten years ago. I couldn?t figure out why. I wanted to root for her. But the more we?ve learned about her in recent years, the more I feel that my dislike was justified. Last year the drama around Don?t Worry Darling eclipsed the film itself and likely contributed to her breakup with Harry Styles. The drama was mostly created by Olivia herself and her willingness to throw Florence Pugh under the bus for her own unprofessional behavior. It was a spectacular act of self-sabotage. So when I saw the story that she wore white to a friend?s wedding, I immediately thought, yeah, that tracks. It turns out it was for a wedding of two grooms, so there wasn?t a bride, but still, it?s tacky:

The Booksmart director cheekily broke two style rules to celebrate friend Jordan C. Brown and Colton Underwoods nuptials on May 13 in Napa Valley, Calif. While attending the couples romantic ceremony, Olivia not only wore white?traditionally, a huge no-no?but she also donned an actual bridal gown.
Wore a wedding dress to a wedding, she captioned her Instagram Stories on May 14, just so I could make a joke about it in my toast.
And for extra clarity, the Dont Worry Darling director explained that her outfit wasnt exactly a fashion faux pas. The grooms approved, she confirmed in a separate post, alongside a photo of her hugging and smiling with the newlyweds.

This is peak ?pick me? behavior. Wearing a wedding dress to a wedding that?s not your own, even if there won?t be a bride wearing a white dress, is just attention-seeking. Let the grooms have their moment in the spotlight, it?s their day. It?s not about you, Olivia. Good Lord. When I fantasize about getting married (to my imaginary boyfriend, Adam Driver, who is sadly unavailable), I actually don?t see myself in white. For a long time I?ve wanted to get married in a soft seashell pink. It works better with my coloring. But if I saw someone else wear white to MY wedding I would have them thrown out. Because the visual language of weddings is so entrenched in our culture that anyone wearing white would immediately pull focus. And Olivia knows that. She can?t just be classy and wear a tasteful sage green or midnight blue?! It?s embarrassing.
What?s ironic is that the wedding dress she wore is super basic. From the pictures it looks like a backless, bias-cut gown in white satin that?s somewhat shapeless aside from seam detailing on the skirt portion. If you?re going to be tacky and break a taboo, then at least go full Scarlett O?Hara and pick something fabulous and jaw-dropping. If the dress were interesting I could at least respect it from a style perspective. But it?s a nothingburger of a dress.
Does anyone else think she maybe bought this ?wedding dress? when she was still shacked up with Harry Styles and envisioning their life together across the pond? If she was ready to move to London, she was probably thinking about their eventual wedding day, right? I can just see the terror in Harry?s eyes as he discovers the garment bag in the closet. I?ll bet you anything the wedding menu would have featured her famous salad dressing.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were famously never married, although they were ?engaged? for most of the years they were together. Their split has not been amicable though, because they have two children together and they?re engaged in a full-on war over everything about custody and child support. Jason?s side has argued that the kids were born in New York, Jason wants to live in New York and the NYC courts should determine everything. Olivia?s side is that she currently lives in LA with the kids, she has the right to move the kids to London if she chooses to do so (although we haven?t heard much about that post-Harry Styles) and that Jason needs to come to her to have joint custody of the kids. It?s a mess. The LA family courts are going to have a hell of time untangling all of this, and it?s just gotten even more complicated Olivia says that Jason hasn?t paid any child support.
Olivia Wilde claims Jason Sudeikis has paid her zero child support despite earning a ?significantly superior? income. In court documents obtained by the Blast Tuesday, the ?Don?t Worry Darling? star and director said she is now carrying ?100% of the costs for the children?s care,? which includes food, clothing and extracurricular activities, while son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, are with her. Wilde did, however, note that she and Sudeikis split their kids? school tuition.
The ?Booksmart? director requested the court order the ?Ted Lasso? star to pay child support so that she can provide for their children ?commensurate with Jason?s standard of living.? Wilde, 39, also wants Sudeikis, 47, to contribute to her attorney and accountant fees not only because the ?Horrible Bosses? actor is in a financially ?significantly superior? position but also because she is burning money as a result of ?Jason and his counsel?s egregious, unnecessary and aggressive conduct.?
Using famed attorney Laura Wasser to represent her, Wilde is requesting $500,000 from Sudeikis and for him to pay child support retroactive to the date which she filed the case.
?Jason shares equal responsibility with Olivia for the support of their children, yet Olivia has borne the lion?s share of the expenses for their children since the pendency of this action,? the documents state, according to the outlet.
Wilde revealed her more-than-$10 million net worth in a previous legal filing as she accused Sudeikis of litigating her ?into debt.? The documents also reportedly stated that the ?House? alum has a monthly income of $71,667, but she reportedly spends $107,000 a month on her mortgage, laundry and cleaning and more.
In response to the court documents leaking, Wilde?s rep said in a statement to E! News, ?The sealed and private documents that were leaked today are the utmost breach of trust and never intended for public consumption. This private family matter, involving young children, has continued to be a tabloid fixture and the press coverage dating back a year has been relentless and traumatic.?

It will be interesting to see if Jason?s side leaks anything about his response to Olivia in court. I strongly suspect his argument is that the kids are with him half the time, and he?s financially supporting them when they?re WITH him. But the California courts will disagree, even if Jason and Olivia are not married they?re going to order him to pay up, unless he?s got some kind of legal argument yet to be revealed.
Now, I don?t think Jason should have to pay Olivia?s legal fees though from what I?ve seen of this custodial fight, it?s just a standard-issue dispute between two actors who travel a lot for work and can?t agree on their homebase. Nothing Jason has done (in court) is particularly egregious. If anything, he?s been more eager to get his custodial rights locked down legally while Olivia seems to have believed that she could just do whatever and take the kids wherever she wanted. Also: ten bucks says that Olivia?s side leaked this to make him look like a deadbeat dad (which he is, if true).

Remember last year, when Olivia Wilde?s drama-queen persona became mainstream public knowledge? Perhaps many people knew for years that Wilde is a lying ahole (I certainly did), but the chaos of the ?Miss Flo? situation unfolding at the Venice Film Festival really took Olivia?s problematic nature mainstream. You would think someone would tell Olivia to just lay low and don?t cause any drama for, like, a year. Hope that people forget and move on. Well, she can?t do that. It?s not in her nature. Her nature is to center herself at all times, in every situation, even the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
So, Olivia watched the Halftime Show and she saw a visibly pregnant Rihanna perform her hits on a thin sheet of plexiglass up in the air. Olivia saw all that and decided to praise? ASAP Rocky, Rihanna?s partner. Don?t you understand, Olivia thought Rocky needed to be singled out and praised for ?supporting? Rihanna. Here?s her creepy post on Instagram:
?If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge,? she wrote, tagging Rihanna and ASAP Rocky. She deleted it a few hours later, then replaced it with this message: ?For anyone who got it twisted? it?s hot to respect your partner, especially when your partner just did thaaaat.? I?m reminded of the time when she effusively praised Harry Styles for showing up to work Olivia lavishes praise on men for doing the bare minimum, and she thinks nothing of tagging ASAP Rocky for merely? taking a photo of the mother of his child?? Sidenote: Can you even imagine being Olivia?s publicist? Lord, what a job. Anyway, the People report made it sound like Harry and Olivia decided mutually to split and that everything was ?amicable? and that they?d been sort of falling apart for a few months. That was the impression I had, that as soon as Don?t Worry Darling?s promotion was done and dusted, it got harder and harder to stay together. Of course, they didn?t want to officially break up the second after promo was done because that would be too obvious. In any case, all of us knew that the ?everything is amicable, there?s no drama? line would not hold. Here?s a soft-launch of Olivia?s post-Styles storyline:

Over the course of their relationship, Wilde and Styles have had to endure drama surrounding the release of their film Dont Worry Darling, namely persistent claims that Wilde and the films leading actress Florence Pugh were at odds.
The public pressure on them has been difficult, said the friend. Theyve had ups and downs throughout the relationship.

They managed to stay together officially for about two months following DWD?s theatrical release, but they?re over now. No more careful leaks to Page Six and People Magazine about how none of this was ever Olivia?s fault, no more pap strolls with Olivia wearing Harry?s merch. Saturday night was the annual (or biannual?) LACMA Art+Film Gala in LA. In recent years, the pandemic years, barely any A-listers came out for this event. But red carpets are back in a big way, so a lot of celebrities came out on Saturday night. The event is always co-sponsored by Gucci, so all of Gucci?s brand ambassadors come out too, I think they?re contractually required to. Olivia Wilde is all about Gucci, and this is what they gave her. I actually think the dress is cute in a retro ?70s way, which honestly, Olivia can really pull off. But the red gloves ruin it. A lot of people did gloves and these were the worst.
Quinta Brunson wore Gucci and they gave her the best look, right? A princess gown in taffeta, with a cut which complements Quinta?s petite proportions, and those sheer gloves were the best gloves of the night.
Salma Hayek and her husband Francois Henri Pinault. Salma in Gucci, because her husband owns Gucci. You?d think they?d give the boss?s wife the best looks and bespoke the crap out of everything to flatter her short hourglass figure. They do not.
Sydney Sweeney in Giambattista Valli. Typical Valli look with the shorter hemline and the ruffles and big sleeves. I feel like? there?s too much going on? The sleeves would have been better with a longer skirt to balance them out. I also think the platform heels were way too much!
Carey Mulligan in bespoke Gucci. I really like the dress and coat-worn-as-cape, I just wish she had sparkled it up with her styling a little bit? She looks like she was taking a dog for a walk and she just threw this on and went to the gala. Give us some bright lipstick or something.

I always thought that Harry didn?t go for this kind of romantic messiness, but maybe he?s changed. Olivia telegraphed their romantic status in these pics by wearing a ?Harry?s House? hoodie. Clever merchandising. Anyway, Olivia and Jason Sudeikis?s former nanny kind of ruined Olivia?s big argument/lie that she didn?t cheat on Jason with Harry, and that she and Jason were done long before she met Harry. Throughout DWD?s promotion, Olivia kept insisting that no, of course she didn?t cheat on Jason with Harry, she would never. Except that she absolutely did. So here?s Olivia excuse me, ?a source? telling People Magazine once again that Jason and Olivia were having problems long before she started banging Harry.

There is no easy way to end a long-term relationship, a source tells PEOPLE in this weeks issue regarding claims the couples former nanny made in an interview with the Daily Mail. There were issues between them before. Adds the source, Regardless of what anyone else says about their relationship, nobody but the two of them know what went on and why they split. Jason and Olivia are co-parenting and doing fine with that. The custody issues between them from before have not gotten in the way of both parents being with their kids.
A separate industry source says despite the breakup, the exes are united in their co-parenting priorities involving daughter Daisy, 6, and son Otis, 8.
Olivia and Jason have pretty much worked things out and are sharing custody of their children in a mature manner, says the insider. The split was unpleasant, but they have moved on. They will always have to communicate and be adult because they have two kids together.
As for Wildes relationship with Styles, 28, they are simply trying to move forward peacefully: Olivia and Harry have a dynamic relationship which is filled with admiration and respect for the other, says the industry source. The couple, who started dating during production of Dont Worry Darling, are currently spending time together in Los Angeles, where the singer is playing shows over the next several weeks.

Most of what comes out of Olivia?s mouth is a lie, and this is coming straight from her camp. None of this is true, I suspect. While Jason and Olivia are likely coparenting and trying to dial down the drama, he literally had her served with custody papers in the middle of her CinemaCon presentation. Their filings in their custody fight in New York family court were really rough. And Olivia still plans to MOVE to London with the kids, which is what Jason has been trying to block. Anyway, I kind of think the point of this People story was Olivia wanting to brag about how she and Harry are still in love.

Before Olivia Wilde made an ass out of herself on an international scale during Don?t Worry Darling?s promotion, the big story around Wilde was her custody dispute with her former partner Jason Sudeikis. In April, Jason had Olivia served while she was on-stage at Cinema-Con. The legal papers were about which jurisdiction would hear and resolve their custody issues. While Jason travels for work a lot, he considers himself New York-based, and New York is where their kids were born and raised up until 2020. Olivia is now LA-based, and she wanted the California courts to have jurisdiction. She ended up winning on jurisdiction, but not before an extremely messy hearing in NY, where Jason made it clear that Olivia had told him she planned to move from California to England with the children. Well, here?s an update on that apparently, Olivia is looking for schools for the kids in North London.
Olivia Wilde has given the clearest hint yet that she plans to relocate to the UK full time to live with Harry Styles. I can reveal the actress and director visited a school in North London, suggesting she wants her children Otis and Daisy enrolled there.
They had been living with Olivia and her former fiance, actor Jason Sudeikis, in Los Angeles.
But Olivia has been spending more and more time in the UK with her pop star toyboy. A move here with the kids could be ideal for her ex too, even though they haven?t seen eye to eye since their separation, as he shoots his hit comedy series Ted Lasso in London.
A source said: ?Harry and Olivia are completely committed to each other and want to spend as much time together as possible. Obviously they both lead very busy lives, with Harry spending huge amounts of time on tour and Olivia leading a successful career in film, as well as frequently flying out to see him. But the kids are always her first priority, so basing them in the UK is a viable option for their future, given she sees that with Harry, who wants to stay in London.
?She has spoken to Jason about it because his say is important too as the kids?s dad. It sounds like they have agreed London is the best place. Nothing has been signed and sealed yet but they are strongly considering the move.?

That?s the entire reason why they?ve been engaged in this messy family court dispute, because Olivia told him she?s taking the kids to London and he?s like ?hell no.? Ted Lasso isn?t going on forever either, it?s not like he?ll need to be in England for work much longer. Lasso is ending at Season 3, meaning Jason will go back to living in New York full-time. Add to all that? Olivia is really going to move to England to be with Harry Styles? The vibe is so off. The vibe was off during Olivia?s assy promotion too.

Olivia Wilde is literally the only person involved with Don?t Worry Darling to promote the film this week, the week the film is released in theaters. Everyone else, from Florence Pugh to Chris Pine to Harry Styles, is pretty much ignoring Wilde and her fking drama and lies. What?s interesting is that friendly little promotional stops are now turning into grand inquisitions and it?s amazing. Wilde appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. Colbert went for it. He wasn?t harsh, but he was direct, and he asked her directly about whether Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine, whether she?s beefing with Florence Pugh, whether she actually fired Shia Labeouf. For what it?s worth, she claims that Harry ?did not? spit on Pine and ?I think its a perfect example of like: people will look for drama anywhere they can. She deflects that way throughout the conversation, like the drama around DWD is just people with overactive imaginations on the internet and not a huge self-made catastrophe on her part.
Here?s the first part of the interview. I?m not watching all of this, but Colbert begins to question Wilde on all of the dramas around the 3:30-mark. Wilde addresses the Shia Labeouf mess starting around the 4-minute mark and you can see her furiously back-pedaling on all of the sh-t she talked about Shia in her Variety and Vanity Fair cover profiles. Suddenly, it?s a matter of semantics and not Olivia lying constantly to make herself the heroine.
Here?s the clip where Olivia addresses Spitgate and how the world of DWD is a comfortable cult. Colbert actually asked Olivia directly about the beef with Florence Pugh and Olivia uses Spitgate as a conversational deflection!!! Then Colbert brings up Florence again and Wilde says ?I have nothing but respect for Florence?? Olivia also brings up Florence?s film commitments with Dune 2. Hilarious scrambling.
While Colbert is correct that male directors are monsters and male directors don?t have to answer for the on-set beefs in the same way as women, I hate that Colbert gives Olivia that ?out.? Like, Olivia is the one lying her ass off and saying incredibly ridiculous things. She?s the one who dumped her partner for her leading man. If this was Darren Aronofsky or Martin McDonagh, trust me when I say that it would still be a big deal if they were lying to trade media and dumping their partners for an actor in their films. It would also be a big deal if their lead actresses refused to promote their films, just as it would be a big deal if one of their actors spit on a costar during promotion at a film festival!!
