You can?t always believe everything you read and Lily Allen can definitely attest to that.
In May 2009, a magazine called ?So Foot? published an article suggesting the ?Smile? singer made offensive remarks about David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Ashley and Cheryl Cole.
Come to find out, however, an interview with Allen never even took place.
With the help of her lawyer, Miss Allen got ?So Foot? to admit that their article was false while they also agreed to withdraw the alleged interview and not republish it.
With Lily also being awarded damages, the mag?s lawyer, Richard Dugdale, released a statement saying, "Sincere apologies to the claimant for the damage, as well as the upset and embarrassment caused to her by the publication of the article."

Adding another reality show to the books, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are set to film a wedding planning series on the Oxygen channel.
The former ?Beverly Hills, 90210? babe and her handsome hubby are set to star in ?Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings? which begin production this month.
The couple, who have been married for four years, will assist couples in the weeks leading up to each ceremony throughout the eight-episode series.
In addition, Spelling and McDermott will return for a sixth season of ?Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,? also on the Oxygen network.

According to InTouch, the E! reality star's new suitor is "One Tree Hill" actor Michael Copon - whom she previously appeared with on the same television show called ?Beyond the Break?.
The mag's source said, ?Kim is dating Michael. They have known each other for years, but he and Kim just recently reconnected. He?ll definitely be making appearances on Kim?s new TV show."
Unfortunately, it appears that the InTouch source is a bit out-of-touch, as a Kardashian insider has since told GossipCop of the claim that Kim and Michael are "not dating".

The ?Natural Born Killers? actress was leaving the event when a car collided with her car before taking off into the night.
A rep for Ms. Lewis told press, ?Juliette was leaving an event for her new film. The sedan she was traveling in was completely totaled.?
?Ms. Lewis went to the hospital to be checked out and is a bit banged up and sore, but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home.?

George Clooney is in the midst of another trip to Sudan. He has been to the area? I believe this is his third trip? Clooney went with a team of people including NBC?s Ann Curry. They traveled not to the refugee camps in the western part of Sudan, where the Janjawid have carried out a systemic pattern of rape and genocide, but to Southern Sudan, where a vote determining the area?s independence is going to be held in several months. Southern Sudan has seen much of the same campaign of genocide, the genocide has become synonymous with ?Darfur? - the western-most province. These photos were tweeted by Ann Curry.
American actor George Clooney is visiting the little known region of Southern Sudan. The U.N. Security Council arrived to a raucous welcome on Wednesday, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum also made a recent trip here.
The high-level visits are putting the spotlight on the Texas-sized area of Sudan that is far less known to Americans than the western region of Darfur, where mass atrocities have been committed over the last decade. Southern Sudan is three months from a Jan. 9 independence vote that could see Africa’s largest country break in two. The vote — and the potential of a new north-south war because of it — are the reason behind the rash of visits.
“If you knew a tsunami, or Katrina or a Haiti earthquake was coming, what would you do to save people?” Clooney said, according to a blog post by Ann Curry, a reporter for NBC who is accompanying Clooney.
Clooney spent the past week traveling to remote, conflict-prone areas of Sudan’s south with John Prendergast, the founder of the Enough Project, an anti-genocide advocacy group. One photo posted by Curry showed Clooney pointing over a field that Curry wrote was the site of a mass grave from 2008. That was in Abyei, a town that was largely burned to the ground after southern and northern armies clashed there, prompting an estimated 60,000 people to flee. The U.N. reported at the time that at least 140 people died.
Clooney, who declined a request for comment, also visited the town of Malakal, where elements of Sudan’s northern and southern armies have clashed twice since the end of the 21-year north-south civil war in 2005.
The group of Americans also talked to villagers in Lul, an area where Human Rights Watch recently documented killings and rapes by southern soldiers against civilians who opposed the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement.
When the U.N. Security Council arrived Wednesday, school children lined the streets and hundreds of people at the airport chanted a greeting to America’s U.N. ambassador, Susan Rice. The group also chanted “Welcome, welcome ICC,” a reference to the International Criminal Court that has indicted Sudan’s president for war crimes in the western region of Darfur. Rice is known for her hardline views on how the U.S. should deal with the northern government, which is headed by President Omar al-Bashir.
The Security Council plans to meet with Southern Sudan President Salva Kiir but will not meet with al-Bashir. Members will also assess preparations for the Jan. 9 independence vote in Southern Sudan and a separate vote that day in the oil-rich region of Abyei.
Officials from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington spent two weeks in Southern Sudan to assess the likelihood that mass violence will break out following the January vote. Mike Abramowitz, the director of genocide prevention at the museum, said “the next year is a very dangerous time for the civilians in Sudan.”
“It is very hard to predict genocide. However, there are warning signs, many of which are present in Sudan,” Abramowitz told The Associated Press last weekend. “Today there is an opportunity to avoid calamity, with sufficient international focus and pressure brought to bear on both southern and — particularly — northern leaders.”
In a speech last week, Kiir said that he and his people have experienced “the anguish of war” and do not want to return to conflict.

OH to be a kid again. Hollywood Lord Johnny Depp was a surprise guest at a London school’s assembly this morning.
The actor - who is currently filming the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie in Greenwich - took some time out to make an impromptu trip to Meridian primary school dressed as his character Captain Jack Sparrow.
His visit came after one of the school’s pupils, Beatrice, wrote a letter to him saying: “Captain Jack Sparrow, at Meridian Primary School we are a bunch of budding young pirates and we were having a bit of trouble mutiny against the teachers. We’d love it if you could come and help. From Beatrice De Lap aged nine, a budding pirate.”
Teachers only found out the actor was coming ten minutes before he arrived and parents were shocked when their kids came running out telling them what had happened.

Aw? a kid wrote a fan letter and Johnny showed up! That?s magnificent. I imagine there were a few damsels-in-distress/teachers who were swooning too. But just one little criticism, because my mom?s a teacher: I bet those kids weren?t able to be calmed down for the rest of the day. Ideally, this is the kind of visit that should be scheduled for the end of the school day, not the morning. Still, it?s an adorable thing to do, and bless him.

Her busted and tragic weave was loose and free and all was well with the world - in a few months, there is a very real possibility that Britney?s conservatorship could be over. Britney is smiling for a reason. She could be in control of her own destiny very soon.
So what did Britney do to celebrate? According to Us Weekly, ?Before she left the Only Hearts boutique in Santa Monica, , Spears oddly slipped into a lace-trimmed nightie and blue leather boots. Judging by photos that hit the web Thursday, she also forgot to put on a bra. Spears didn’t seem to mind. Accompanied by bodyguards, the mother of two kept smiling as photographers snapped away.? That?s right, Brit stopped, mid-shopping-jaunt, to change into a nightie. And she tried to contain the busted weave into? something. I don?t know, it?s pulled back and she looks like she rubbed some olive oil in it. Oh, Britney. This isn?t going to get you your freedom any time soon.
Is anyone else worried about what will happen if Britney?s conservatorship does end any time soon? This could be a preview. Also - her poor bodyguards. You know Jamie Spears probably yelled at them when Britney got home.

Despite proclaiming that she loved the end results of her 1986 silicone injection, Lisa Rinna had her top lip surgically reduced on August 26. According to People magazine:
“My lips started to define who I am,” Rinna, 47, [said] about why she decided to undergo the procedure. “That bothered me.”
Public reaction to her plastic surgery confession last year also upset her. After finally admitting that she had silicone injected into her upper lip, Rinna says, “I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings.”
[But Rinna] is ready to keep a stiff upper lip about her new upper lip. “It doesn’t matter what other people think,” she says. “I did it for myself.”
People who make a point of saying they’re doing something “for themselves” and that they don’t care what other people think are always full of shit. She just said the reason behind her surgery was that she didn’t like PEOPLE defining her by her lips and she didn’t like PEOPLE making fun of her hemorrhoid mouth. Ergo, it was completely because she cares what other people think. The defense rests, your honor!

Singer Toni Braxton, 43, is filing for bankruptcy for the second time, listing debts that range from $10 to $50 million. That’s a huge range which just shows how little grasp she has on her finances. Braxton first filed for bankruptcy in 1998, and told Oprah at the time that it was the fault of her managers and money-handlers along with the fact that she was being paid low royalties for her chart topping music. I wonder whose fault it is this time. Here’s TMZ’s report on Braxton’s money problems:
Toni Braxton has filed for bankruptcy again — claiming she owes somewhere between $10 million and $50 million in unpaid debts all over the country … including DMVs in TWO different states.
Braxton — who sold more than 40 million albums in her career — just filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California … and in the docs, the singer claims she’s only worth somewhere between $1 mil and $10 mil … but she could have up to $50 mil in debts.
In the docs, 43-year-old Braxton lists a ton of creditors to whom she thinks she may owe money… including:
– AT&T
– The Four Seasons Hotels
– Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
– Various medical bills
– DirecTV
– Neiman Marcus
– The William Morris Agency
– Tiffany & Co.
– Orkin Pest Control
– The Internal Revenue Service
– BMW Financial Services
Braxton also claims she may owe money to the City of L.A. Parking Violations Bureau — and the DMV in both California and Nevada.
Braxton has a storied history of financial problems — she filed for bankruptcy back in 1998 … and earlier this year, the IRS filed a lien against her for $396k.

I get that she could have been overextended 12 years ago when she was relatively new to fame and letting other people deal with her finances. It’s over ten years later, though, and she had plenty of time to scale down and get on top of things with people she trusts to help her out. How do people rack up that much debt, particularly in unpaid parking tickets that are right there on their windshield every time, and not realize what’s going on? Do they just ignore bills entirely? There’s a kind of willful ignorance in it, along with some deep issues with money. I learned a lot from Suze Ormon’s books in terms of handling money and not letting your emotions get in the way. I still freak out a little when I have to do my taxes and I understand the urge to ignore it, although guilt would never let me do that. Toni has obvious money issues. There are much worse things, particularly when you’re living that kind of lavish lifestyle. When you’re bringing in millions you can hire someone to help balance your damn books.
Toni is shown on 5/8/10 and 11/21/09. It looks like she spent a lot of that money at the plastic surgeon’s office.

According to In Touch Weekly, Kim?s new boyfriend is Michael Copon, and he?s a 28-year-old actor who guest starred in One Tree Hill, Beyond the Break and Greek, amongst other television credits. He?s actually a working actor, which surprises me. I would have thought Kim would go for one of those douches who calls himself an ?actor? but who doesn?t have any credits. Michael, in the photos below, is giving me a jailbait vibe, even though he?s in his late 20s. He?s cute, but he also has an air of Taylor Lautner, right?
It?s all about new beginnings for Kim Kardashian ? she has a new TV show, a new zip code, and now, a new man, too! A galpal of Kim’s tells In Touch that she?s dating actor and musician Michael Copon, who’s best known for his role on One Tree Hill.
?Kim is dating Michael,? the source tells In Touch. ?They have known each other for years, but he and Kim just recently reconnected.?
Kim and Michael are currently in New York, where she?s filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and fans can expect to see more of her new hottie.

Seriously, Producers of whatever new Kardashian show (Ryan Seacrest and Kris Jenner) decided they wanted to cast an actor as Kim?s new ?boyfriend? so they just started looking for 20-something actors. Meanwhile, I bet Kim is boning every athlete she can find on the side. And Michael?s boyfriend probably doesn?t mind that Michael is ?dating? Kim.

I get it, I really do. She?s Rihanna. Much like Gaga, Rihanna has added to her fame, appeal and press by wearing strange and hideous things. Maybe it?s a message about finding beauty everywhere, in anything. Or maybe Rihanna shouldn?t try so hard. Because this dress could have been adorable paired with a pair of simple heels and an elegant bun. It?s not even that Rihanna?s hair or jewelry offends me. The jewelry looks like a 4-year-old picked it out, of course, and the hair is ridiculous, but all of that is fine. It?s the socks and heels that really, really bother me:
Ugh. Little old lady.
But anyway, these photos are of Rihanna and her boyfriend Matt Kemp attending the Miu Miu show in Paris yesterday. This is one of the first times, in my memory, that RiRi and Matt have gotten all dressed up and gone to a public function together. Can I say something? Matt Kemp is cute as hell. I think she?s the cover girl because she just turned 40 years old, and they want to make her the next poster girl for The Girl Next Door Who Is Fabulous At 40! Now, I don?t categorically hate Kelly. Do I think she might have some issues? Sure. She?s pretty annoying, she?s not the best interviewer, and I always end up feeling for her husband because he has to put up with her. But, on the bright side, she?s really not that bad, she?s very flirty and fun, and she?s got that kind of relentless optimism that I could never achieve, but I admire in others. But, I will kill my daughter if she runs off and elopes, because I want to have a big party.?

The ?bump and tickle? comment annoys me, but I like what she said about eloping and how it might have been good enough for her, but it won?t be good enough for her daughter. I also like what she says about the holidays and eating, and it?s clear that she?s not one of those mothers (cough, Gwyneth) who pushes her own food issues onto her children. In another part of the interview, Kelly explains how no matter what, every night she and Mark and the kids have dinner together: ?Sometimes it’s 6:30, sometimes 7:30, sometimes it’s going to be pizza or takeout. It’s important to have that time together as a family. We have some very deep conversations. Mark and I are from the generation where children were seen and not heard, but my kids have great insights and their own opinions about everything.” Nice. But I worry about her exercise habits - she’s gotten so, so skinny.

I swear, Wednesday afternoon there were like three solid Jessica Simpson stories all involving her bodily functions. It?s not even funny - this is how Jessica makes news these days. She farts or barfs or pees or belches or poops. Now, I am not one of those people who finds endless amusement in bathroom humor. Jessica is one of those people. On Wednesday, she tweeted: ?This link just made my morning! RT @OMGFacts: The average person farts about 14 TIMES each day! How to fart less?? And then she linked to this. A little factoid page about farting. And this made entertainment news. Just like it made entertainment news when Jessica ripped one in the middle of a business meeting (and her mom yelled at her!). Yes, Jessica is incredibly gassy. And she likes to talk about it.
Onto the next ?Jessica Simpson, Bodily Function? story. This one?s sub-headline is ?Bodily Function: Barfing?. According to Us Weekly (who are always on high alert for Jessica?s ?Breaking: Wind? stories), Jessica spent a week in the Middle East barfing her guts out and complaining about the heat. Oh, it was a U.S.O. trip too! Even when she?s doing something sweet, Calamity Fart-Blossom always finds a way to f-ck it up:
For Jessica Simpson, even a simple visit with troops aboard the USS Harry S. Truman was far from smooth sailing.
“She flew in on a helicopter and had three Red Bulls with no water,” a source tells the new Us Weekly of her Oct. 1 visit to the Persian Gulf. “Then she complained it was too hot out.” (It was 97 degrees that day in nearby Doha, Qatar.)
From there, things got messy. After eating, the singer, 30, attempted to perform. “She only sang one song, then vomited,” says the insider.
Still, a source close to Simpson adds, “She was dehydrated and got sick before she performed — and even got an IV. The doctor told her not to sing, but she did anyway.”
Back in the States on Tuesday, Simpson Tweeted her thoughts on the trip: “Feel so humbled by the sacrifice the troops and their families make to keep us safe. I’m forever changed after this last week. Thank you!”

My first thought was that she?s pregnant, honestly. It?s a decent explanation for barfing your way through a Middle East trip. Of course, it?s also a solid possibility that Jessica is too stupid to listen to medical advice about hydration in the desert. It?s also a possibility that all of that traveling just made her sick. Or she just had a stomach flu. Whatever.

The 26-year-old Czech model continued, "Maybe they have misconceptions that if they eat just lettuce or drink a lot of water, they will get skinny and will look great and be more successful, which is really not the truth. It is so important to eat and eat well. You need the energy. I know myself. If I don't eat properly ? I can't just live on lettuce and water. I think people have this misunderstanding that to be a successful model and to be a size 0, that perfect size, you have to not eat or you have to eat plain and boring, which is not true."
Miss Kurkova finished by telling, "Something that I am about is I eat very organic and I am into natural fruits, healthy eating and exercise and really taking of yourself from within, more than all kinds of creams, especially when the girls showed me what they were eating and making fried Oreos every day and then wondering why their skin is so bad. Simple things like that that can make a difference. If you feel good, it is going to show."
