According to Google News, the directors of Unidos de Vila Isabel samba group told G1, Globo TV's Web site, that Bundchen has just accepted their invitation to appear in their parade, but her costume and float have not been decided yet.

I tend to think this story has the whiff of bullcrap, but whatever. According to PopEater?s gossip guy Rob Shuter, Angelina Jolie hates Thanksgiving. She hates it because she?s a friend to the Native Americans, and she thinks celebrating Thanksgiving would be a celebration of the systematic genocide of Native American peoples. Which? I mean, I understand that point of view if we?re just talking about history and stuff, and whether or not we should teach children the revisionist history of the first Thanksgiving and the plight of the Native Americans. But as a modern tradition, it?s come to mean something really nice, and I honestly don?t see Angelina refusing to let her family celebrate.
While everyone is preparing to give thanks tomorrow, one of America’s most famous families, the Jolie-Pitts, have decided to sit this Thanksgiving out.
“Angelina Jolie hates this holiday and wants no part in rewriting history like so many other Americans,” a friend of the actress tells me. “To celebrate what the white settlers did to the native Indians, the domination of one culture over another, just isn’t her style. She definitely doesn’t want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder.”
Angelina has been filming her directorial debut, about a Serbian man and Bosnian woman who fall in love during the Bosnian War. Angie, always extremely sensitive to the suffering throughout the world, is filming in English and the native languages.
“Angelina gets so grossed out by Thanksgiving that she has made sure her family will not be in America this year on Thursday,” an insider tells me.
And although Brad Pitt recently told ‘EXTRA,’ “We’ll whip up a turkey somewhere,” he certainly hasn’t shared that plan with Angelina. A family friend tells me, “If Brad wants turkey, he will have to cook it himself. For Angie, it will be another day when America tries to rewrite history.”

Back to the discussion on revisionist history, I?d just like to tell a story from my own perspective. When I was very young - like, elementary school - my grade had to use this very dated Virginia history book that was full of all of these crazy lies and half-truths about slavery and the tragic history of original Virginia settlements (crazy sh-t went down in Jamestown, for real). Even at my young age, I knew it was crap. The lesson: kids aren?t stupid. They can comprehend that the revisionist story of Thanksgiving is crap, while also being taught that it?s a modern tradition we should embrace. Give these kids some credit! Even more Jessica Simpson stuff! I know, I know. But she?s so easy to talk about and write about. Anyway, Jess was on Jimmy Fallon last night, and she said something that kind of amused me. According to Jess, Eric Johnson is the kind of dude who goes to see ?healers?. Hand. To. God. So, Eric went to see a ?healer? and this dude told Eric that he needed to be healthier - that he needs to become a vegan. As you can imagine, Jessica in all of her Texan glory is struggling to understand what this mysterious ?Tofurkey? is. Or, as Jess says, ?It’s gonna be jiggly and weird.” Pot, kettle.
This Thanksgiving will be full of firsts for Jessica Simpson: her first with fianc Eric Johnson, her first in New York, and her first with a tofu turkey.
“After getting out of the NFL, [Eric] went to this healer and is very healthy,” Simpson, 30, told Jimmy Fallon of her vegan husband-to-be. “For Thanksgiving we have to make a Tofurkey! It doesn’t sound right! It’s gonna be jiggly and weird.”
And while the singer, who just released her Christmas album, acknowledges that “when [Johnson] cooks vegan, it’s good,” she also admits that she comes from a very different background.
“I’m from Texas ? I’d fry a steak,” she laughed. “We eat all casseroles and giblets!”
Dietary preferences aside, Simpson said she’s “very, very happy” in her relationship, and that Johnson proposed to her in the spot they met: her home.

Emmy Rossum has heard it before: “People say that, ‘Where have you been?’ It’s so weird to me.”
Rossum, 24, tells USA TODAY’s Olivia Barker that she’s been waiting for the right role — and finally found it with her gritty new Showtime series, Shameless, which premieres Jan. 9. She plays Fiona, the oldest of six children of a narcissistic, alcoholic single parent (William H. Macy).
“Hollywood doesn’t provide you with tons of opportunities if you’re a woman,” she says. “I don’t want to go run around in my underwear and be chased by a guy with a knife. When you’re 22 and 23, there’s not much that’s not either, like, silly teen comedies or horror movies.”
Instead, she’s chosen “to work on material that inspires me — where I feel like I can add something to world, even if just little bit.” Getting cast on Shameless, “this is happiest I’ve ever been in my whole life.”
