In 2015, we covered the wedding of Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner. At the time, I attempted to describe the sh-tstorm around the wedding Horner had abandoned his longtime partner/girlfriend to get with Geri, and Horner?s parents were so mad about his new relationship that they refused to go to his wedding. Only one of Geri?s Spice Girl mates attended the wedding too. Since the 2015 wedding, there have been rumors about the state of their marriage, but honestly, I always saw it as more of a ?local story? in the UK. The British media loves to gin up controversy and scandal about their British celebrities and Spice Girls always sell. This is something else though last week, Horner was (credibly) accused of sexually harassing a female coworker at Formula 1. Over the weekend, at the F1 race in Bahrain, Geri put in an appearance as a loving and supporting wife to combat the accusations against her husband.
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner was seen getting cozy with her husband Christian Horner on Saturday, just days after the news broke that the Formula One boss allegedly sent sexual text messages to a coworker.
On Wednesday, Red Bull Racing announced the conclusion of a mysterious investigation into Horner?s ?inappropriate behavior,? but did not offer any explanation as to what the allegations against him were. At the time, the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf had reported that Horner allegedly sent ?sexually suggestive messages? to a staffer on his F1 team.
Page Six later published that they?d obtained copies of these text messages, in which Horner allegedly told her she looks ?very attractive? in Spanx and when she replied they were just leggings, he said that what?s in them is what counts. He also reportedly asked the woman for selfies of her in pajamas and later asked her to delete the chat. Horner has denied any wrongdoing.
?I won?t comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations,? Horner said Thursday in a statement. ?I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way. It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialist barrister and it has concluded, dismissing the complaint made. I remain fully focused on the start of the season.?
The couple, who married in 2015, were seen at the Bahrain Grand Prix holding hands and kissing for the cameras, a sign of solidarity after a week of being embroiled in scandal.

Re: the investigation from the sound of it, the defense was that this was an attempted affair, not sexual harassment. That turns a blind eye to whether Horner was this woman?s boss (likely) and whether he abused his authority by sending sexually explicit texts or having an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate. Anyway, of course Geri showed up in Bahrain and made a big show of holding his hand and kissing him in front of the cameras. That seems entirely on-brand for what little I know of Ginger Spice.

What would you do if a coworker told everyone that youd hooked up with them and it wasnt true? If you ignored it might be interpreted that youre silently saying its true. If you denied it then the story would get more traction though, and some would still believe it. Thats the situation Geri Halliwell, Ginger Spice, must have found herself in after Mel B claimed in an interview that they hooked up once back in their Spice Girls days. Mel said this in an interview with Piers Morgan about a week ago. Sources close to Geri denied it off the record but then The Daily Mail ran an article over the weekend claiming that their affair was more than one night as Mel claimed and that it lasted about a year in the mid 90s. After all that Geris rep issued a statement saying that it wasnt true and that Mel made up the story, essentially. Then Mel tried to claim she never said that, which is not the case. Geri calls it hurtful but her rep couches it in language like there are no hard feelings. The show must go on as The Spice Girls tour starts in less than a month.
In a statement to E! News, Geris representative says, It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mothers Day of all days She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.
While Geri calls the statements hurtful, she by no means holds any anger towards Mel B. Moving forward, Geri cant wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories, the rep continues.
Moreover, the rep says in a message directed towards her fans, Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria.
In an interview with Australian radio show 2Day 104.1, [Mel B] explained that she never admitted to having sexual relations with anyone. All five of us [slept in a bed together], we were on tour, we had all of our own hotel rooms booked but we all ended up bunking in together. Thats what girls do, she explained. It wasnt like a big deal, weve known each other 20 plus years, it was just one thing that happened one night. I didnt go into detail about it, at all.

This is revisionist by Mel. On Piers show she was very clear what she meant and it was not everyone bunking together. Still I get why shes trying to downplay it now that Geri is denying everything and calling it hurtful. Mel accomplished what she wanted, she got headlines ahead of the Spice Girls tour and now people are going to pay attention to how Geri and Mel interact. It is curious, though, that it took Geri a week to deny this. Maybe the Daily Mail story prompted her, or maybe she and Mel are in on this together and timed it all out. Im not saying thats the case! Just that the timing is suspect.

My favorite Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell-Horner, welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday. Geri announced the birth of her son, Montague George Hector Horner, with a touching black and white photo on Instagram. (The baby’s middle name is a tribute to Geri’s dear friend, the late George Michael.) Geri also has a 10-year-old daughter, the equally eccentrically-named Bluebell Madonna. The proud mama captioned the snap “Montague George Hector Horner arrived this morning, a beautiful little brother for Bluebell and Olivia #amazing-day #grateful #monty.” Olivia is hubby Horner’s three-year-daughter from a prior relationship.

Even if you don?t particularly care about the bride, most people enjoy looking at wedding photos. So here you go ? on Friday, Geri ?Ginger Spice? Halliwell married Formula 1 racing team boss Christian Horner in England. The bride and groom have apparently known each other for years, although they?ve only ?officially? been together since March 2014. I say ?officially? because Horner left his partner of 14 years for Ginger Spice. It?s a mess. I?ll get to that in a moment. For now, let?s just talk about the wedding stuff. Here?s something I didn?t know/realize: this is Ginger Spice?s first wedding! I thought she had been married a few times already, but no. She?s been engaged several times and she?s the mother of 9-year-old daughter Bluebell.
The wedding took place at the Woburn Abbey in Buckinghamshire. Ginger Spice wore a gown made by Phillipa Lepley with lace sleeves and a ?hidden corset.? She carried a bouquet of what looked like pale pink, peach and cream roses. I like her bouquet more than the dress. The dress is inoffensive though ? I don?t find it especially amazing or especially hideous. I guess you could say it?s ?timeless.? And I?m a little bit shocked that Spice Girl went so conservative/traditional with her look. Certainly I wasn?t the only one expecting a strapless, bejeweled mermaid dress? Geri also Instagrammed her something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue ? go here to see.
As for the mess? Horner left his partner of 14 years, Beverly Allen, for Ginger. Horner and Allen never married, although when he left her, she had just given birth to their daughter Olivia a few months beforehand. Apparently, Horner?s parents were ?devastated? that he dumped his long-term partner for a Spice Girl, and the parents boycotted this wedding. Horner?s brothers did come. But it?s still a mess.
