Looking a tad flustered, Ashlee Simpson was spotted going through security at LAX Airport earlier today (September 2).
The “Outta My Head” star is traveling just ahead of the season premiere of “Melrose Place” - which airs this Tuesday, September 8th at 9/8 c.
And it sounds like Miss Simpson enjoys her “Melrose Place” character, Violet Foster. In a recent interview she told, “It’s going to take a while for the audience to figure her out, which has been a lot of fun to play.”
Ashlee continues, “She does lots of things that leave you hanging. We’re still working on developing her. She does sneaky things that the other characters don’t know about, but the audience will know that she’s doing it.”

Well? according to In Touch. In Touch plays it pretty fast and loose with the truth. So I?ll go ahead and let you read their article (and its title ? very important key to the puzzle), then we?ll work through this together.

Kate Hudson is shacking up with New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez! ?Kate?s always at his New York apartment, even on the days when he?s on the road. She?s made herself quite comfortable in his life.

So you probably noticed that despite they ?moved in together? title, In Touch?s own article says that she?s just spending a ton of time at his place. Being at his apartment all the time is very different from moving in together. Her being there when he?s not isn?t the same thing. They made no mention of anything official in terms of a change or living arrangements, and in fact they mentioned that A-Rod is ?taking it slow.? I know we?re all keen to rush to the ?Kate Hudson makes bad relationship decisions? stories, but all-out inventing stuff seems unnecessary. Nothing in ?In Touch?s? article makes it sound like they?re living together ? it just sounds like the magazine made a big leap. And if Kate and Alex really are officially cohabitating, then In Touch sure didn?t do a great job of making that clear.
Either way, yes, Kate Hudson moves too fast! But this doesn?t really seem to be a great example of it.

A source told press, “Kate’s always at his New York apartment, even on the days when he’s on the road. [Kate has] made herself quite comfortable in his life. She’s met his oldest daughter and her son Ryder likes Alex.”

Cate Blanchett was injured in the middle of a stage performance of A Streetcar Named Desire in Sydney, Australia. This just happened a few hours ago, because the performance was on Wednesday night. Apparently, during the course of a scene, one of Cate?s castmates threw a radio and it hit her in the head. According to eyewitness reports, Cate had blood ?streaming? out of some kind of gaping head wound. It was so bad that the play ended just seconds later and the audience was basically told to go home. They must have had to rush Cate to the hospital to get her checked out:
Cate Blanchett suffered a head injury Wednesday after she was hit by a prop during a live performance in her native Australia, according to reports.
The actress, 40, was performing in A Streetcar Named Desire at The Sydney Theatre Company when cast member Joel Edgerton threw a radio, as per the script, and it hit Blanchett on the head.
An audience member tells the Sydney Morning Herald that “she had blood streaming down the back of her head and blood on the back of her neck.”
Adds the witness, “She acted for about another 30 seconds, then ran into what we thought was the next scene, but before we knew it the lights were turned on and we were told there were technical difficulties and everyone had to evacuate the Sydney Theatre Company.”
A rep for Blanchett has yet to issue a statement.

Damn, this concerns me. I hope we get a ?she?s fine? message soon. I?ve had simple head injuries before (don?t ask, it involved a shovel and that?s all I?m saying) and one thing is for sure - they always look terrible. Head wounds are gushers. I hope that in Cate?s case, she just needed stitches and some bed rest - she’s one of our greatest actresses.

Rihanna is the cover girl for Italian Vogue, and the photo shoot is ridiculous. It was done by famed fashion photographer Stephen Klein. I can?t imagine this stuff was Klein?s idea, though. I sincerely hope a photographer of his stature didn?t go to Rihanna and say ?Hey, you know how your boyfriend beat the hell out of you? Let?s reference that cryptically with a fashion shoot in which you?re bound and muzzled!? I have to think that part of this was Rihanna?s idea - her take on being edgy, high-fashion and a weird attempt to ?challenge? people.
Some of the images from the layout aren?t that bad, really. I think the idea behind it was submission and dominance, with Rihanna playing both sides. In some of the photos she looks sexually empowered, with what appears to be a riding crop, dramatic power-shoulders and a shoe-fetishists wet dream in campy, awesome boots.
Beyond the ?bound and gagged? image, there are two that stand out to me as being terribly uncool. One is a very dark, disturbing image where Rihanna is on her hands and knees. The other one is where Rihanna is topless (wearing sparkly pasties) and camera is shooting her from below. Now, I know the photographer probably didn?t have to talk her into anything - she probably volunteered for the ?outfits? and poses - but it still feels like a young woman with her own issues with violence is being exploited in some way. That?s just how it seemed to me.

Michael claims that Dean has been plotting against wife Tori Spelling since they met - and that their marriage is totally based on the idea that Dean wanted Aaron Spelling?s millions. Michael says there is ?no question? that all Dean ever wanted from Tori was money and fame, and that Dean has made cruel remarks about Tori behind her back. Something about ?looking like a horse?. Tori?s not the prettiest girl, I?ll admit, but I wouldn?t call her horsey. Let?s face it - she?s not Sarah Jessica Parker.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott seem to have the perfect marriage on their hit show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, but in reality, it’s anything but. According to a friend of Dean’s, their relationship has been a lie since the get-go and Dean has even said Tori looks “like a horse!”
“There is no question Dean is with Tori for the money and the fame,” Michael Olifiers, an actor who’s been friends with Dean for years, tells Star in a world exclusive interview. “Dean’s always been desperate to become famous. He craved being in the spotlight and Tori’s his ticket to that life.”
But he didn’t always have kind words for the woman who became his wife and mother of his two children. The night before Dean left to film Mind Over Murder in 2005, he fired off a barrage of cruel barbs aimed at Tori, says Michael. “I can’t believe I have to kiss her,” Dean joked. “She looks like a horse!”
Yet once the then-married Dean met Tori, who was a newlywed herself, all that changed ? he dumped his wife Mary Jo Eustace and began scheming to latch onto Tori’s fame and fortune.
As her mega-rich father Aaron Spelling lay dying, Dean forced Tori to not make him sign a prenup. But when the legendary TV producer passed away a month after they married, Tori discovered she hadn’t inherited the multi-millions she was expecting.
“Dean was livid,” says Michael. Today, the couple earn a living from their Oxygen reality show and “exploiting their relationship,” says Michael. “They do everything and anything to make money from their fame.”
And Michael warns that his former friend will only stay with Tori if the money keeps rolling in ? and if he cannot hook a bigger or richer star!

I?ve heard versions of this story before - that Dean was all about Tori for her money (or her dad?s money) and that all Dean wanted was to be rich and famous. I?ve also heard versions that have Aaron and Candy Spelling hating Dean from the start of Tori?s relationship with him, and Aaron being convinced to cut Tori out of the will because of the fear Dean would just take all of the money. Here?s the thing - I could conceivably buy parts of that story (especially the part about the will), except that I do think Dean really loves Tori. I?ve watched their show - and he?s not that good of an actor. He really seems to love her. But what do I know?
What?s strange to me if that Star actually has a named source for all of this stuff. It?s no longer furtive whispers by unnamed sources - they actually have a guy who claims to be friends with Dean. Ten bucks says Michael?s not getting a Christmas card from the McDermott-Spelling house this year.

[After] the actress had a procedure last summer to have her famous mole removed, it seems the make-up artists on set have had their work cut out for them.
While filming yesterday, the brown beauty mark could clearly be seen back in place on her chin, which seems to have been applied for continuity.
Parker was filming a flashback scene yesterday as she stepped into an Eighties outfit of skinny jeans, an off-the-shoulder jump and Converse trainers, complete with permed hair… depicting the then-twentysomething character’s arrival in New York in the Eighties.
Well, fan of the mole or not, I think we can all agree on one thing here: Dee Snider from Twisted Sister has never looked more beautiful. Zing!

Channeling her inner-shopaholic, Lindsay Lohan was spotted doing a little retail therapy on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles yesterday (September 1).
The “Mean Girls” actress looked a bit annoyed at the paparazzi presence as she made her way inside Chuck’s Vintage Clothing Store, sporting a sexy black and white top sans bra with black stretch pants and black boots.
And it sounds like Playboy isn’t willing to take no for an answer- the gentlemen’s magazine has reportedly offered LiLo $900,000 to pose for them.
Last year, Hef’s publication offered $500,000 and Lindsay turned them down. But with the new almost-doubled paycheck, it’ll be interesting to see if she stands her ground.

Madonna fainted twice while performing in Bulgaria on Saturday. It seems kind of inevitable given her grueling tour schedule and, ahem - age. She’s massively fit, but she also reportedly adheres to a strict diet, one that sometimes hovers around a starvation-level 800 calories a day if her scheming personal trainer is to be believed. There have also been stories that she doesn’t eat meat or dairy products. That level of exercise coupled with not eating has got to take a toll. The Sun has a video of one of the incidents, and Madonna clearly faints for a moment while dancing to Holiday, and one of her backup dancers holds her up and revives her. She then goes right on with the show:
IT’S no secret Madonna has a fitness regime that would make a Royal Marine weep.
But after collapsing on stage TWICE during Saturday’s Sticky & Sweet show in Sofia, Bulgaria, it might be time to take her foot off the gas.
Madge lost consciousness singing Holiday and had to be held up by a dancer.
Then, as she left the stage during Spanish Lesson, she passed out and fell over.
A source said: “Madge was really worried backstage. She had to sit down for a longer break than usual between songs.
“She refused to end the show or take a break after the Holiday dizzy spell. It turns out she’s suffering from exhaustion. She is anaemic.
“She was advised to postpone the last two shows in Israel for a few days, but logistics and stubborness stopped her. She’ll do them then take some rest.”
While in Bulgaria she took a dip with her tour dancers.
She is also pictured in the video for her new single Celebration, with daughter LOURDES.

Maybe a big steak or some liver and onions would help Madonna keep her strength up, but I doubt she’ll ever injest something of such calorific proportions. This is a woman who once said “I would never get fat” as if gaining some weight would be the worst scenario she could ever imagine. There are much worse things than a little flab, and I would count health that’s so poor that you can’t get out of bed among them. Madonna is not my favorite person, but I wish her well and hope she recovers. She needs some rest and maybe this will be a wake up call for her to slow down the tour schedule and take some time off. It’s not like she needs the money from touring, but I get the impression that she has trouble coping without something intense and demanding to drive her. Take care of yourself Madonna, you don’t need to keep pushing it to the limit.

The couple married in 2002 when LeAnn was 19 years old and Dean was 21 - and her backup dancer. The couple officially separated back in July, after months of rumors that LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian had been engaged in a full-fledged affair. This comes one week after Eddie officially filed for divorce from his wife, Brandi Glanville.
Meanwhile, Eddie and LeAnn have been going on public ?dates? for several weeks now. They?ve been out golfing, attending Kings of Leon concerts, and the rumor is that Eddie is now living with LeAnn, in her Los Angeles home. Us Weekly points out that LeAnn filed for divorce after returning from a ?romantic? vacation with Eddie in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It’s over for LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet.
“After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” the country star says on her Web site using the spelling of her husband’s given name. “This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support ? it is deeply appreciated.”
Rimes, who turned 27 on Friday, married Sheremet in 2002 when she was 19 and he was 21. They separated amid allegations of an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian after the two met while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall. Cibrian, meanwhile, filed for divorce from wife Brandi Glanville last week.
Cibrian’s ex has called him “somebody I just don’t know” and claims she sensed the attraction between the two when they filmed their Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall.
Rimes’s longtime friend, Dope Den Productions founder Jeff Berger, says that Rimes and Sheremet, a songwriter and former dancer, are “doing their best to handle it as mature adults.”
“Dean’s her best friend and that’s the crux of the issue; when you love and care about somebody who’s your best friend ? how not to cause them pain,” he says. “Le and Dean are both great people and, unfortunately, going through a tough situation. But they’re doing what needs to be done in as amicable a way as possible.”
Sheremet, a former professional dancer, is attending culinary school in New York. He posted a message on his Twitter page Tuesday: “Back to school kids, first time in 10 years.”

Sources claim that LeAnn is completely paying Dean off with a nice apartment in New York, and most likely a sweet divorce settlement. Dean hasn?t said much for or against LeAnn so far, and I suspect he?ll continue to keep his mouth shut and wait for the payday. As for LeAnn?s future plans, there were some reports last week that she?s already planning on marrying Eddie. Even though those reports came from Star Magazine and In Touch, I tend to believe them. I think LeAnn has fallen for Eddie, and she thinks he?s some kind of ?catch?. When you look at it that way, it?s kind of sad.

It’s no secret that they’ve been having some serious marital problems, stemming from an extramarital affair and now LeAnn Rimes has announced that she and husband Dean Sheremet are getting a divorce.
Taking to her official Web site, the “How Do I Live” singer wrote, “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane [her husband’s given name] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage.”
Rimes (who has been married to Sheremet for seven years) continued, “This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.”
Earlier this year, it was discovered that LeAnn and actor Eddie Cibrian were romantically involved after having met on an acting gig. Eddie and his wife have already filed for divorce.

Anyhoodle, it seems last week?s sketchy burglary at La Lohan?s Hollywood Hills home was a minor blessing in disguise. Not only did Lindsay get some extra publicity, but she had a built-in excuse for why $2 million worth of jewelry is now ?missing?. Now that Lindsay is moving out of her burgled crack den, her neighbors have gone to Radar to complain and celebrate in equal measure. It appears her neighbors are very concerned that Lindsay is breaking her lease - on the other hand, the neighbors are no longer muttering ?There goes the neighborhood? every time Lindsay needed a fix and began snorting the azaleas:
Lindsay Lohan is clearing out of her Hollywood Hills home but the moving trucks won’t be able to clear up one mess she’s leaving behind according to sources - the unpaid remaining months on her lease.
RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that according to neighbors, who claim they have talked to the owner of the residence, the actress has skipped out on her lease, leaving a potential $50,000 unpaid bill.
“Lindsay has five months left on her lease,” one neighbor tells RadarOnline.com. “She’s breaking her lease by moving on at this time. The property was up for rental at $15,000 per month but she got a special deal of $10,000 per month, meaning she’s going to owe $50,000 on the remainder of her lease.?
“Plus there’s going to be damages, the property is in total disrepair since she’s moved in, it’s not able to be shown in it’s current state, it’s going to take some serious work to get it back to it’s original condition.”
A second neighbor confirms that Lindsay is leaving before the end of her lease, although the amount of time outstanding differs, “Lindsay still has around three months left on her lease, she’s moving out before the end of it.”
“Lindsay used the excuse of the burglary as the reason for her moving out,” the first neighbor tells RadarOnline.com. “She told the owners the property wasn’t safe enough for her and that she was being hounded by the paparazzi, but that’s not the owners concern.”
“If she doesn’t pay up on the remainder of her lease, and pay up for the damages she has caused the property owner is going to sue her. They are not happy at all about the situation.”
Some people are happy about Lindsay suddenly moving on though - those living near her!
“Lindsay has been the neighbor from hell,” a source living close by tells RadarOnline.com. “The police would be called on her three times a night sometimes. She would have these constant parties and her music would be blaring all times of the night - 2am, 3am, 6am - Monday though Sunday.?
?There were cars parked all over the place, and I’m not talking about the paparazzi. Lindsay’s friends would just abandon their cars where they saw fit. This is the Hollywood Hills, parking is a nightmare at the best of times, these fools made it even worse. We were constantly getting cars towed, it was just a total mess.?
“The only time it was quiet around here was when she was up the road causing chaos outside of Sam Ronson’s house. I can tell you that everyone in this neighborhood is unbelievably relieved that Lindsay has moved on. I just feel sorry for her next neighbors.”
Calls to Lindsay’s rep were not returned. The owner of Lindsay’s property had no comment.

Teaming up on the set for a day of filming, Jessica Alba and Ashton Kutcher were spotted on the set of “Valentine’s Day” on Tuesday afternoon (September 1).
Seeming to be having a marvelous time, the “Sin City” sweetheart hopped on top of her “That 70’s Show” co-star’s knee while being presented with a red rose.
Due out in theaters in February 2010, “Valentine’s Day” boasts an all-star cast including the likes of Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts and Taylor Swift, among many others.

When I first saw the 15 second clip of Madonna?s upcoming single ?Celebration? I was sort of impressed. Jesus Luz. Without a shirt. Not bad. Naturally I assumed her record label leaked the clip because they?d get a lot of free Jesus hype. Now I?m thinking they did it because that?s just the only semi-interesting part of the video. I mean it?s all fine. Certainly Madonna doesn?t release sub-par stuff ? at least not without someone losing their testicles for it. But it?s just? there. It won?t go down in the books. There are people dancing. Oooh, they?re sped up! Ohhhh, now they?re slowed down. How novel. We?ve already covered Jesus with his shirt off. Lots of jerky dance movements. Little hint of Lourdes near the end. And I think that just about covers it.
Here’s the video of Madonna’s new single ‘Celebration,’ the title track of her upcoming greatest hits album. The material girl shows off her dance moves in thigh-high Louboutin boots and a dress short enough to allow for plenty of gyration and crotch-touching shots.
Around 2:20, Madonna’s boy toy Jesus Luz enters. He is playing a DJ, which is his real-life dream. Madge touches herself some more, realizes she must remove Jesus’ clothes to recognize him, then makes out with him.
Lourdes, Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter, also makes a cameo as a dancer towards the end of the video.
Madonna is currently on her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour in Europe, and has made time for visiting Jewish Holy sites with Jesus and speaking out on behalf of the Gypsies.

So? yeah, I?m not sure what to say. The video is just so-so to me. There?s no Madonna-esq controversy. There?s nothing fabulous about it. It?s fine. My great grandma has it on her iPod. She?s cool with it. As am I. Couldn?t really offend or interest anyone.
